We were all told that people will die(!) from the Republican tax cuts. But, as it turns out, letting Americans keep more of their money and cutting the corporate tax is actually bringing a massive boom to the economy and helping the middle class.
It was announced on Thursday that Home Depot would be giving their hourly employees $1,000 bonuses due to the Republican tax plan. That means more than 400,000 Americans will be taking home an extra grand thanks to the GOP and their $1.5 trillion tax package that slashes the corporate tax from 35% to 21%.
“This incremental investment in our associates was made possible by the new tax reform bill,” said a statement from Craig Menear, Home Depot chairman and CEO . . .
The home improvement supplies chain is just the latest company to offer cash or benefits to their employees in wake of the business-friendly bill’s passage. Just one day before the Home Depot news, for example, Starbucks announced pay raises, stock grants, and sweetened benefits to their hourly employees. FBI Official: FBI Agents Threatened Physical Harm to President Trump in Missing FBI Texts and Other “Frightening” Communications

Hannity: DOJ Has Started Recovering Missing FBI Texts, DOJ Sources Say
By Fox News. Fox News’ Sean Hannity said Wednesday night on “Hannity” that the Justice Department has started recovering some of the missing texts between FBI officials Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, citing DOJ sources.
Federal law enforcement officials had notified congressional committees that a technical glitch affected thousands of FBI cellphones between Dec. 14, 2016 and May 17, 2017. This meant that 5 months’ worth of texts would be missing from Strzok and Page, both of whom are under scrutiny after it was revealed that the former members of special counsel Robert Mueller’s team exchanged anti-Trump texts during the 2016 presidential campaign.
Hannity said sources at the DOJ told him they have begun to recover some of the texts from that time period. Specific content from those texts has not been released . . .

A Florida man who prophesied in 2011 that Donald Trump would become president, as well as multiple things that would happen after the businessman took office, says one thing remains to come to pass from the original revelation he felt God gave him: the mainstream media would come to side with Trump.
Mark Taylor, known as the “fireman prophet,” recently recounted to CBN News anchor Wendy Griffith how he wrote down what the Lord showed him minutes after seeing Trump interviewed on television in April 2011. Taylor then shared it with friends, including New York Times bestselling author Mary Colbert, who then shared it with some of the most prominent Christian leaders in the country.
“I didn’t know a lot about Donald, I just knew that he was a very powerful businessman, built this empire, and he was toying with the idea of running for president at the time,” Taylor told Griffith.
“Most people thought it was a joke so I’m listening to him on an interview and all of the sudden I hear the voice of the Lord say, ‘You’re hearing the voice of a president,’” the retired fireman said.
Taylor then went into his office and wrote out what he felt the Holy Spirit was showing him about Trump’s ascendancy to the highest office in the land.
“He was saying basically that America was going to prosper like never before. Israel and America, the ties between the two countries would be stronger than ever before. The dollar would be the strongest it’s ever been, it was very detailed as far as what God was showing me.”
In all, Taylor penned just over 500 words based on the divine download.
When Colbert saw it, she was convinced it was from the Lord.
“As I read this prophecy I saw the Father’s rhythm throughout the whole prophecy. And I recognized the rhythm, or frequency you could call it, because God has His own frequency,” Colbert told Griffith. “I literally collapsed into a chair and said, Donald Trump is going to be our next President?!”
Taylor originally thought the message meant Trump would run for office in 2012, but it was not to be.
“I thought I’d truly missed it,” Taylor said, but then the businessman turned reality television star announced his candidacy in June 2015.
Colbert admits having her doubts during the course of the campaign as Trump’s fortunes appeared to wax and wane.
In June of 2016, she felt the Holy Spirit impress upon her to watch the Belmont Stakes horse race, which ended up strengthening her faith in a Trump victory.
In the race, the horse “Creator” beat rival “Destin” by a nose.
“And the CNN headline said: ‘Creator Wins by a Photo Finish!’ I sat back in my chair and I said, ‘God you’re really going to do this!’” Colbert proclaimed.
Taylor truly believes that Trump is God’s man for the hour, in part to stop an anti-Christian agenda that had been trying to take hold in America.
“The enemy’s timeline has been denied by the Most-High God and it’s through Donald Trump a lot of this is being denied right now,” Taylor said. “And what God is saying right now is ‘No, it’s not time right now because there are many things that God wants to accomplish on the earth right now,’” he said.
Evidence of anti-Christian bias from government could be seen in the Obamacare abortion mandates seeking to override sincerely held beliefs about life and Christian business owners facing steep fines and other criminal penalties for declining to participate in same-sex marriage ceremonies.
Just last week, Trump announced a new division in the Department of Health and Human Services devoted to “conscience and religious freedom.”
“Faith is deeply embedded into the history of our country, the spirit of our founding and the soul of our nation,” the president said. “We will not allow people of faith to be targeted, bullied, or silenced anymore.”
Another recent action by Trump that resonates with evangelicals and fulfills Taylor’s prophecy is his announcement last month that the United States would be moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, thus holding true to a campaign pledge.
“The Spirit says yes, America will once again stand hand in hand with Israel and the two shall be as one, for the ties between Israel and America will be strong than ever and Israel will flourish as never before,” Taylor wrote in 2011. “The Spirit of God says I will protect America and Israel, for this next President will be a man of his word.”
This week, Vice President Mike Pence traveled to Israel and announced before the Kenesset that the U.S. plans to fast track its move of the embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, so it takes place by the end of next year.
A Gallup poll conducted in November, before Trump’s announcement of the move of the U.S. embassy, found his approval rating among Israelis at 67 percent. The embassy relocation is popular in the country, which means approval of Trump is likely even higher now.
As Obama prepared to leave office in January 2017, 65 percent of Israelis described him as more pro-Palestinian, while only 12 percent thought he was more pro-Israel. By contrast, 77 percent of Israelis believe Trump is more pro-Israel, according to a poll taken last month.
Just one part of Taylor’s prophecy about Trump has yet to fully become a reality.
“It says the news media would be captivated by him, and they would even begin to agree with him,” Taylor told Griffith. “That’s the only line in the prophecy that hasn’t come to pass yet, so we have to ask ourselves, what’s fixing to happen to make the mainstream media to begin to agree with him?”
Griffith followed up asking what is “fixing to happen?”
“God’s going to clean out the news media,” Taylor said. “God is looking for His people right now, His millionaires and billionaires basically to come in and start investing in these places and buying them out; taking over. God is going to rebuild them and restore them because there is no spirit of truth in them right now — and that’s what God is going to restore.”
Taylor also related that while Trump’s presidency is bringing reformation to what Saint Augustine called the “City of Man,” the “City of God” — the church — will experience a powerful move as well.
“The Army of God will have victory after victory after victory — and I love what Pres. Trump always says…you’ll get sick and tired of winning, if there is such a thing, and that’s the same way for the Army of God it’s going to be victory after victory after victory!” he said.
Taylor and Colbert co-authored the book, “The Trump Prophecies” released last summer, which goes into more detail about the original prophecy and what Taylor sees on the horizon.
Asked whether Trump will win a second term, Taylor responded, “Absolutely. Liberal billionaire George Soros spent more on lobbying during President Donald Trump’s first year in office than he has in any previous year, disclosure forms show.
The Open Society Policy Center, a D.C.-based 501 (c)(4) nonprofit that focuses on domestic and international advocacy efforts and is a separate entity from Soros’s Open Society Foundations, poured $16.2 million into lobbying throughout the entirety of 2017.
Soros’s group reported spending $4.6 million during the first half of 2017 on its lobbying efforts. During the third quarter, Soros added $1.25 million to the total. Most of the lobbying expenditures—$10.3 million—were spent during the fourth quarter, which spans from October 1 to December 31.
Soros ramped up his efforts as the year progressed by pushing funds toward issues that have been seen as a direct attack on the deep-pocketed financier, such as Hungary’s Bill on Foreign Funded Organizations (LexNGO), a crackdown on foreign-funded organizations in that country . . .
Soros also pushed funds to lobby on the Restricted First Use of Nuclear Weapons Act of 2017, the National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal year 2018, and the Preventing Preemptive War in North Korea Act of 2017, among others, according to the disclosure forms. Republicans and Democrats in the Senate failed to come to agreement on a continuing resolution to fund the government last week, primarily over the issue of DACA, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, leading to a three-day government shutdown. A temporary agreement was made to continue funding the government until Feb. 8, with Republicans pledging to bring a proposal on immigration to a vote by the deadline. Trump Puts Path to Citizenship for Some ‘Dreamers’ on the Table in Immigration Deal
By The Washington Post. President Trump said for the first time Wednesday that he is open to a path to citizenship for some younger undocumented immigrants known as “dreamers” in an immigration deal being negotiated by Congress, a potential breakthrough in the stalled talks.
In an impromptu discussion with reporters, Trump emphasized that his support of a citizenship path for about 690,000 immigrants would be contingent on securing $25 billion for a wall on the southwest border with Mexico and $5 billion for additional border upgrades. The president also is expected to continue his push to curb legal immigration as part of a deal.
But his remarks signaled what could prove to be a major shift for a president who ran a campaign with a hard line on immigration and last week rejected a bipartisan Senate proposal that included citizenship.
White House aides said the president would release a complete “framework” on Monday. The aides said that plan probably would grant immediate provisional legal status to those immigrants covered by the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program that he terminated in the fall. The New York Times revealed Tuesday that following their embarrassing loss to Republicans over the federal government shutdown, Democrats are quietly telling mega-donor environmentalist Tom Steyer to stop pushing any agenda that includes impeaching President Donald Trump.
Steyer announced this week that he would encourage activists to hold “house parties,” where they could discuss the possibility of impeaching Trump, and then come up with grassroots-level communications strategies they could use to pressure local Democrat legislators to back Steyer-drafted articles of impeachment.
But Dems are worried that pushing impeachment too often, and too quickly — when Mueller’s investigation has not concluded and there is, yet, no evidence of wrongdoing on the part of the White House — could make it difficult to convince mid-term voters that Democrats have their needs in mind.
Even the NYT admits that there’s really “no realistic chance” of impeaching the President — at least, not yet. And they quote Democratic leaders like Rep. Nancy Pelosi saying that Steyer’s tactics are making political divisions worse at a time when Democrats desperately need to pick up independents, blue collar moderates, Rust Belt voters, and others who abhor the current, rancorous state of politics. President Trump struck an optimistic tone on Twitter after he signed a bill to reopen the government late Monday night after a 69-hour federal government shutdown that led to Senate Democrats backing off their opposition.
Earlier in the day, Congress agreed on a measure that will fund the government for three weeks. The agreement will keep the government funded until Feb. 8.

The Justice Department has turned over to Congress additional text messages involving an FBI agent who was removed from special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigative team following the discovery of derogatory comments about President Donald Trump.
But the department also said in a letter to lawmakers that its record of messages sent to and from the agent, Peter Strzok, was incomplete because the FBI, for technical reasons, had been unable to preserve and retrieve about five months’ worth of communications.
New text messages highlighted in a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray by Sen. Ron Johnson, the Republican chairman of the Senate’s Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, are from the spring and summer of 2016 and involve discussion of the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server. They reference Attorney General Loretta Lynch’s decision to accept the FBI’s conclusion in that case and a draft statement that former FBI Director James Comey had prepared in anticipation of closing out the Clinton investigation without criminal charges. A former adult film actress has claimed that she had an affair in 2006 with then-real estate mogul Donald Trump, a year after he wed Melania Trump.
On Wednesday, In Touch released a 2011 interview it had conducted with former adult film actress Stephanie Clifford.
During the interview, Clifford, whose stage name is Stormy Daniels, claimed that the incident occurred in 2006 at a hotel suite in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, four months after Trump’s wife Melania gave birth to Barron Trump.
The alleged encounter reportedly occurred one year after Trump and Melania wed, according to The Hill.
The former adult film actress told In Touch that she met Trump at the American Century celebrity golf tournament where the two shared the same golf cart.
“He kept looking at me and then we ended up riding to another hole on the same golf cart together,” she recalled.
According to Clifford, Trump asked her if she wanted to have dinner later that night, to which she obliged.
As noted by In Touch, Clifford claimed that the two ate dinner in his hotel suite before she excused herself to the bathroom.
“When I came out, he was sitting on the bed and he was like, ‘Come here.’ And I was like, ‘Ugh, here we go.’ And we started kissing,” the former pornographic actress recalled.
The two proceeded to engage in intercourse that Clifford described as “textbook generic.”
After the encounter, Clifford revealed that the two “hung out for a little while and he just kept saying, ‘I’m gonna call you, I’m gonna call you. I have to see you again. You’re amazing. We have to get you on The Apprentice.’”
The Wall Street Journal first broke the news that Clifford was paid by Trump’s attorneys to remain silent on the affair.
In the report, the Journal claimed that Michael Cohen, a Trump Organization lawyer at the time of the incident, reportedly arranged for Clifford to received $130,000 one month prior to the 2016 presidential election as part of a nondisclosure agreement.
A White House official told The Journal that Clifford’s allegations are “recycled reports, which were published and strongly denied prior to the election.”
In a statement to The Journal, Cohen, now Trump’s personal attorney, stated that the president “once again vehemently denies” the 2006 sexual encounter with Clifford.
“This is now the second time that you are raising outlandish allegations against my client,” Cohen stated, referencing a 2016 report by The Journal just days prior to the election claiming that Clifford had intentions to release the bombshell information on “Good Morning America.”
He continued: “You have attempted to perpetuate this false narrative for over a year; a narrative that has been consistently denied by all parties since at least 2011.”
