Trump’s DOJ to Toss Eric Adams’ Historic Bribery Case, Agrees With Dem That Charges Were Politically Motivated by Biden Admin

The Justice Department ordered Manhattan prosecutors Monday to dismiss the historic bribery case against Mayor Eric Adams — siding with Hizzoner that the charges under the Biden administration were politically motivated and hampered his ability to combat the migrant crisis in New York City, The Post has confirmed.

The new DOJ under President Donald Trump instructed the Southern District of New York to dismiss the case without prejudice, meaning charges could be re-filed in the future, sources said.

“You are directed, as authorized by the Attorney General, to dismiss the pending charges” against Adams, Acting Deputy Attorney General Emil Bove wrote in a letter obtained by The Post.

The letter notes “independent reasons” as to why Adams’ case was being tossed — including that the case was retribution for him speaking out against the Biden administration for its handling of the migrant crisis.

“It cannot be ignored that Mayor Adams criticized the prior Administration’s immigration policies before the charges were filed, and the former US Attorney’s public actions created appearances of impropriety…” (Read more from “Trump’s DOJ to Toss Eric Adams’ Historic Bribery Case, Agrees With Dem That Charges Were Politically Motivated by Biden Admin” HERE)

Inside the Turkish Tower in NYC at the Center of Historic Eric Adams Indictment

What did Turkey and its powerful, globetrotting president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan get in return for the thousands of dollars in luxury, first-class travel, other lavish perks allegedly funneled to embattled Mayor Eric Adams?

According to the historic, five-count indictment unsealed by Manhattan prosecutors Thursday, Erdoğan scored a glossy, 36-story glass and steel tower across from the United Nations called the Turkish House that soars over the NYC skyline and the East River — a consular showplace allegedly fast-tracked by Adams despite fire safety concerns.

“In Sept. 2021 [a Turkish official] told Eric Adams, the defendant, that it was his turn to repay the Turkish official by pressuring the New York City Fire Department to facilitate the opening of a new Turkish consular building — a 36-story skyscraper — without a fire inspection, in time for a high profile visit by Turkey’s president,” the indictment read.

“At the time, the building would have failed an FDNY inspection. In exchange for free travel and travel-related bribes in 2021 and 2022 arranged by the Turkish official, Adams did as instructed.

“Because of Adams’ pressure on the FDNY, the FDNY official responsible for the FDNY’s assessment of the skyscraper’s fire safety was told he would lose his job if he failed to acquiesce, and after Adams intervened, the skyscraper was opened as requested.” (Read more from “Inside the Turkish Tower in NYC at the Center of Historic Eric Adams Indictment” HERE)

Mayor Mocked and Ridiculed for Bizarre Comments About 911 Terror Attacks

New York City Mayor Eric Adams made mystifying comments about the 911 terror attacks and was mocked and ridiculed online mercilessly.

Adams made the comments in an interview with anchor Dan Mannarino of WPIX-TV on Sunday that was widely circulated on social media Monday.

“Mr. Mayor, we’ve come to the end of what was a very eventful 2023. So when you look at the totality of the year, if you had to describe it — and it’s tough to do — in one word, what would that word be, and tell me why?” asked Mannarino.

“New York,” Adams responded.

“This is a place where every day you wake up, you can experience everything from a plane crashing into our trade center to a person who’s celebrating a new business that’s open,” he explained helpfully. “This is a very, very complicated city, and that’s why it’s the greatest city on the globe.”

NYC Mayor Eric Adams Doubles Down on Slave Owner Jab at Woman, 84, Who Fled Nazis

. . .Mayor Eric Adams defended his strident takedown of an 84-year-old tenant activist, justifying his comparison of her to a plantation owner because she “disrespected” him.

“[H]er behavior was acting in a disrespectful way,” he told 1010 WINS radio Friday morning.

“I came from a family that my mom made it clear: Never allow someone to be disrespectful to you.”

Adams headlined a town hall Wednesday evening in Hamilton Heights, where he was interrupted by Jeanie Dubnau, a housing rights advocate and an assistant professor of biology at Rutgers University.

She challenged him for backing a recent decision that will lead to an increase in rents for rent-stabilized apartment dwellers across the five boroughs. (Read more from “NYC Mayor Eric Adams Doubles Down on Slave Owner Jab at Woman, 84, Who Fled Nazis” HERE)
