Mayor Mocked and Ridiculed for Bizarre Comments About 911 Terror Attacks
New York City Mayor Eric Adams made mystifying comments about the 911 terror attacks and was mocked and ridiculed online mercilessly.
Adams made the comments in an interview with anchor Dan Mannarino of WPIX-TV on Sunday that was widely circulated on social media Monday.
“Mr. Mayor, we’ve come to the end of what was a very eventful 2023. So when you look at the totality of the year, if you had to describe it — and it’s tough to do — in one word, what would that word be, and tell me why?” asked Mannarino.
“New York,” Adams responded.
“This is a place where every day you wake up, you can experience everything from a plane crashing into our trade center to a person who’s celebrating a new business that’s open,” he explained helpfully. “This is a very, very complicated city, and that’s why it’s the greatest city on the globe.”
I have told people that Eric Adams was the dumbest person in American politics and they didn’t believe me. Now maybe they’ll believe me. https://t.co/bqqcgdbcB1

Eric Adams really said this yesterday and I now have no more words to describe how absolutely awful he is pic.twitter.com/5MHFnRniUM

Every New Yorker knows planes crash into the NYC skyline as frequently as opening a new business.
Maybe this should become the city's new slogan.
