Gov’t Study Finds Link Between Belief In Gender Ideology And Support For Political Violence

Proponents of “radical gender ideology” are more likely to “hold left-wing authoritarian beliefs and believe political violence is justified,” according to a Department of Health and Human Services study out Wednesday.

The HHS-commissioned study also claims that individuals who held left-wing authoritarian beliefs “were more likely to justify political violence as well than non-left-wing participants.”

“This study raises important questions about what happens when ideology is given the authority of medicine,” HHS Assistant Secretary for Health Admiral Brian Christine said in a statement. “The association between sex-rejecting clinical beliefs, authoritarian attitudes, and the justification of political violence warrant serious scientific scrutiny. HHS will continue to pursue rigorous research that examines these relationships and gives the American people the evidence they deserve.”

The preregistered survey of 1,208 U.S. adults found that stronger endorsement of so-called “gender-affirming” clinical positions was significantly associated with higher levels of left-wing authoritarianism, even after controlling for political identity and age. Both measures were also linked to greater acceptance of political violence across six different scenarios, per the news release.

However, the study “does not determine whether belief in radical gender ideology contributes to authoritarian attitudes or vice versa, nor whether an outside factor may contribute to both predispositions,” per the news release. The study also notes that “experimental research is needed to determine causality.”

Poll: U.S. Parents Across Political Spectrum Reject Gender Ideology in Schools

U.S. parents of all political stripes oppose gender ideology in schools, new polling from Parents Defending Education (PDE) shows.

The survey from PDE, which describes itself as a grassroots organization “working to reclaim our schools from activists imposing harmful agendas,” found that 75 percent of parents “oppose teachers, counselors, school nurses, classroom aides, coaches or administration withholding information about a child’s gender identity from parents.”

That sentiment is shared by a majority of parents with varying political viewpoints, including 88 percent of Republican parents, 72 percent of independent parents, and 58 percent of Democrat parents.

Strong majorities of every ethnicity agree, including 76 percent of white parents, 79 percent of black parents, 69 percent of Asian parents, and 73 percent of Hispanic parents.

PDE notably found in 2023 that more than 1,000 school districts across the United States have policies openly stating that district personnel can or should keep students’ transgender status hidden from their parents. That figure includes 18,335 schools and 10,712,558 students.

My Pediatrician Discharged My Kids Because I Objected to Gender Ideology

I didn’t know that asking for an exam room free from sexualization and gender ideology would cause my pediatrician to discharge my kids from her care.

My now-former pediatrician installed on the wall of every exam room a “Safe Zone” rainbow triangle sticker with the words “sexual orientation,” “gender expression,” and “gender identity.” Meticulously placed in front of the exam table and at a child’s eye level, it was the first thing my daughter noticed on the otherwise blank walls. She asked me to read the words and tell her what they meant. She was five years old and just learning to read.

I told the doctor this was inappropriate sexual content on the wall and there will be no talk of this sticker with my daughter, but when my daughter asked about the sticker again, the doctor told her, “it’s about being inclusive.” This confused my daughter even more.

After a tense disagreement (in another room) about the politics of the sticker, my doctor agreed that it was reasonable to place younger children in exam rooms without the sticker. But she never placed my children in another room or returned my follow-up calls. Instead, a doctor called me and “invited” me to leave the medical practice. It is illegal to discharge a patient without thirty days’ notice in Rhode Island.

When I demanded he explain the sexually inappropriate content in the exam rooms of pediatricians who claim to teach children about consent and inappropriate sexual contact with adults, he became belligerent. He yelled at me over the phone, “Come on, Nicole! You can be a better parent! Your child deserves an explanation about sex!” I had never met nor talked to this doctor before this phone call. Promise Keepers ‘Rejected by Christian School Over Biblical Marriage’

A report reveals that Promise Keepers, the organization that calls on men to live biblical lives, has been rejected by a Christian college because of its position on marriage.

A statement from a conference booking organization, Jones Literary, reveals the men’s group is holding a series of events this year across America, and one was to be at Belmont University in Nashville.

But the school, which claims to be “Christian,” abruptly canceled the event citing a “conflict in values.” . . .

The problem apparently erupted when the organization offered guidance to men on how to respond to the current gender ideology being pushed by the Joe Biden administration, schools, unions and other extreme leftists.

It bluntly said, “We will not stand on the sidelines and remain quiet. As fathers, husbands, grandfathers, and young men—we see the dangers of gender ideology and the harm it causes. At Promise Keepers, we affirm that God made human beings in His image to reflect Him. He created male and female with equal worth and dignity—and there was no mistake in that design. (Genesis 1:27; Mark 10:6).” (Read more from “Promise Keepers ‘Rejected by Christian School Over Biblical Marriage’” HERE)

Poll: Support for Gender Binary Increases in America

A new poll released by the Public Religion Research Institute (PRRI) reveals that an increasing majority of Americans support the idea that there are only two genders.

The poll asked more than 5,400 Americans to give their opinions on the gender binary, relationships with “LGBTQ people,” and the role of public schools in teaching sex and gender identity. The poll focused on different ethnic and religious groups in the U.S., breaking down the results by generation.

PPRI found that 65% of Americans, up from 59% in 2021, say there are only two genders: male and female. These views are highly salient, as 50% of Americans “feel strongly” that there are two genders, while 15% believe there are two genders but do not feel strongly about it. Only 14% of Americans believe strongly that there are more than two genders.

The poll revealed sharp partisan differences. 90% of Republicans support the gender binary, with 80% feeling strongly about it. 44% of Democrats agree, up from 38% in 2021. 66% of independents also believe in two genders, up from 60%.

Support for the traditional view on gender increased or remained constant in every polled demographic. The most dramatic increases were in “Other Protestants of Color” (increase from 52% to 73%), Hispanic Catholics (48% to 66%), and “Other non-Christian religion” (42% to 55%). White evangelicals had the highest support (92%), while Jewish Americans had the lowest (44%), even lower than the unaffiliated (46%). Kamala Harris Torched on Twitter After Seemingly Suggesting That Banning ‘Gender Ideology’ Classes Would Involve Banning the Teaching of Women’s History

Vice President Kamala Harris noted during a speech on Tuesday that some people want to put the kibosh on courses that involve “gender ideology” but then questioned whether this would involve courses related to “women’s history” and “women’s equality.”

“Do they want to eliminate the study of pay equity,” she asked.

While conservatives do want to ban the teaching of radical leftist gender ideology in public schools, this ideology pertains to LGBTQ topics such as the transgender movement, not women’s history.

Left-wing gender ideology remains an area of cultural contention, as some parents do not want public schools to expose their children to LGBT topics.

People responded to the vice president’s comments by accusing her of being unintelligent. (Read more from “Kamala Harris Torched on Twitter After Seemingly Suggesting That Banning ‘Gender Ideology’ Classes Would Involve Banning the Teaching of Women’s History” HERE)
