Girl Scout Leader Said Someone Stole the Cookie Money. She Lied.

. . .Jessica Medina, a volunteer leader, told police that a possibly disguised man took the envelope containing $500 cash and multiple checks off the table. She said the envelope had been left unattended but that the theft must have been captured on mall security cameras. She also said the thief was a man walking with an elderly woman using a red walker, according to NBC.

Police interviewed parents and anyone else who were helping to sell cookies that day, and discovered that the money envelope was actually “kept in a secure cash box and was never left out on the table,” NBC reported. Police also talked to the man traveling with the elderly woman and determined they were not suspects. The alleged theft was not captured on mall security cameras.

Medina then changed her story after police spoke to her again, now suggesting the envelope was accidentally thrown out after the cookie sale. . .

“Today, the Woodbridge Police Department announced that an exhaustive investigation into the alleged theft of Girl Scout cookie monies has concluded with a finding of insufficient evidence to support the theft allegation as initially reported by our troop leader,” the statement said.

“We are surprised and very saddened at this turn of events. The Girl Scouts of Central and Southern New Jersey expects the highest standards of fiscal responsibility and ethical behavior from our volunteers, in keeping with our mission, our values, and our Girl Scout Promise and Laws. Girl Scouts Accuse Boy Scouts of Recruiting… Girls?

Inflaming a century-old and mostly cordial rivalry, the president of the Girl Scouts of the USA is accusing the Boy Scouts of seeking to covertly recruit girls into their programs while disparaging the Girl Scouts’ operations.

“I formally request that your organization stay focused on serving the 90 percent of American boys not currently participating in Boy Scouts … and not consider expanding to recruit girls,” wrote GSUSA President Kathy Hopinkah Hannan in a letter sent this week to the president of the Boy Scouts of America, Randall Stephenson.

Top leaders of the two youth organizations, both struggling to stem membership declines, conferred this month about possibilities for coordination. But Hopinkah Hannan, in her letter, said she came away from that discussion feeling the Boy Scouts had already committed to an expansion of coed programs that would damage the Girl Scouts. Obama to Girl Scouts: ‘What Are You Doing in MY Yard?’; Since When Was the White House Is His Property?

President Obama’s disturbing habit of treating the White House like his own personal property was on full display again this week — and social media watchers were waiting.

On Tuesday, the president greeted a gathering of Girl Scouts, who were camping on the South Lawn of his majesty’s house as part of Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” campaign, as only he could can.

“What are you guys doing in my yard?” he asked the girls according to USA Today. “When did you guys show up?”

Even liberals like Melissa Harris-Perry are getting tired of it, slamming the language Obama used when he shouted down a heckler by calling the White House “my house.” Normally an Obama fan, she sounded like Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly when he denounced Obama for lighting up the White House with rainbow after the Supreme Court’s decision on gay marriage last week. Twisted Girl Scouts Refuse $100,000 Gift Because Donor Wouldn’t Allow it to be Used for Cross-Dressing Boys [+video]

By Katia Hetter. It’s not every day the Girl Scouts or any non-profit is handed a $100,000 pledge.

The Girl Scouts of Western Washington recently received the donation to help fund activities for girls participating in Girl Scouts . . .

As transgender stories took over the airwaves in May, the Girl Scouts national organization clarified its long-existing policy allowing transgender girls to be Girl Scouts.

That may have inspired the donor to sending a note adding one condition: “Please guarantee that our gift will not be used to support transgender girls,” the note read, according to Seattle Metropolitan magazine’s Monday story. “If you can’t, please return the money.”

Girl Scouts of Western Washington council head Megan Ferland said she felt “very sad” after receiving that letter. But shortly thereafter, she says she decided to return the money. (Read more from “Girl Scouts Refuse $100,000 Gift With Transgender Limits” HERE)

After Supporting Inclusion of of Transgender Girls, Girl Scouts Crowdfunding Campaing Exceeds $250K

By Sarah Lawson. Girl Scouts has just come out in support of transgender girls with an inspiring new crowdfunding campaign.

The Girl Scouts of Western Washington accepted a $100,000 donation, but later learned it came with a stipulation: the money could not be used to support transgender girls. The Girl Scouts gave the money back. To show its support for all girls and to make up the difference—the organization reports that $100,000 is nearly one-third of its yearly financial assistance program—Girl Scouts of Western Washington launched an IndieGogo campaign Monday to raise back the money lost in the deal.

By Tuesday, the #ForEVERYGirl campaign had raised two-and-a-half-times its goal with $250,000 and counting from 5,000 donors (and nearly a month left to go on the IndieGogo clock). In an update to the campaign on Tuesday night, Girl Scouts said it could now help at least 1,000 girls with the money. On Wednesday, the organization was receiving enthusiastic messages of support from all over the U.S. as well as the UK, Australia and Canada. (Read more from this story HERE)

Unbelievable: Girl Scouts Welcome Cross-Dressing Boys Into Their Ranks [+video]

By Thomas D. Williams. The Girl Scouts of America (GSA) is the latest organization to cave to pressure from the LGBTIQA lobby, adapting its policies to extend membership to boys who identify as girls.

Penny Nance from Concerned Women for America called the decision “just one more slap in the face to Christian parents.”

On the GSA website, the association states: “If the child is recognized by the family and school/community as a girl and lives culturally as a girl, then Girl Scouts is an organization that can serve her in a setting that is both emotionally and physically safe” . . .

The conservative American Family Association expressed its outrage at the policy change, accusing scout leaders of “losing their moral compass.” This is the case of adults being “willing to experiment on our kids—both the boys who are confused and the girls who will wonder why a boy in a dress is in the bathroom with them” . . .

This isn’t the first time that the issue of “transgender” boys wanting to join the Girl Scouts has come up, though such cases are fairly uncommon. In early 2012, seven-year old Bobby Montoya, who was living as a girl, was allowed to join his local Girl Scout troop in Colorado. One of Nation’s Largest Public School Districts Now Teaching That There’s No Difference Between Boys, Girls

By Todd Starnes. One of the nation’s largest public school systems is preparing to include gender identity to its classroom curriculum, including lessons on sexual fluidity and spectrum – the idea that there’s no such thing as 100 percent boys or 100 percent girls.

Fairfax County Public Schools released a report recommending changes to their family life curriculum for grades 7 through 12. The changes, which critics call radical gender ideology, will be formally introduced next week.

“The larger picture is this is really an attack on nature itself – the created order,” said Peter Sprigg of the Family Research Council.

“Human beings are created male and female. But the current transgender ideology goes way beyond that. They’re telling us you can be both genders, you can be no gender, you can be a gender that you make up for yourself. And we’re supposed to affirm all of it.”

The plan calls for teaching seventh graders about transgenderism and tenth graders about the concept that sexuality is a broader spectrum — but it sure smells like unadulterated sex indoctrination. (Read more from this story HERE)
