Hunter Biden Still Listed as Board Member of Chinese Company He Pledged to Resign From Months Ago

Hunter Biden received wall-to-wall media coverage and praise from his father, former Vice President Joe Biden, in October when he announced he would resign from the board of a Chinese private equity firm by the end of the month.

But six months after Hunter Biden pledged to relinquish his position with BHR Partners, no evidence has surfaced to prove he actually followed through on his promise.

Hunter Biden’s lawyer, George Mesires, told the Daily Caller News Foundation in early November that his client had resigned from BHR’s board, but he did not provide any evidence of his departure from the Chinese private equity firm at the time.

Chinese business records the DCNF accessed Tuesday still name Hunter Biden as a director of BHR. He also retains a 10% equity stake in BHR through his company, Skaneateles LLC, business records for the Chinese private equity firm show.

BHR manages the equivalent of $2.1 billion in assets, according to its website. Hunter Biden has served as an unpaid member of BHR’s board since its founding in 2013, and in October 2017 he obtained his equity stake in the firm with a $420,000 investment, according to Mesires. Hunter Biden Cites Coronavirus, Wife’s Pregnancy to Avoid Deposition Until After Election Day

Hunter Biden’s attorneys have abruptly asked the Arkansas judge in his ongoing paternity case to postpone his scheduled March 11 deposition until after Election Day, saying the coronavirus outbreak, his wife’s “imminent due date” and “intense media scrutiny” all pose a risk of “personal endangerment” for the former vice president’s son.

Additionally, Biden’s legal team argues he should not be held in contempt for failing to turn over a slew of financial documents related to child support. Republicans have said the information could contain damaging evidence of the younger Biden’s overseas business dealings and possible corruption.

“Defendant’s wife’s due date is imminent,” Biden’s request for continuance reads. “Defendant will supplement this motion as soon as possible with an affidavit of his wife’s treating physician.”

Additionally, “it is unsafe for the Defendant to travel, as travel restrictions have been implemented both domestically and internationally, particularly on airlines, due to the Coronavirus. Setting aside personal endangerment, Defendant reasonably believes that such travel unnecessarily exposes his wife and unborn child to this virus.” . . .

As something of an olive branch, Biden’s team notes in its new motion that it “has no objection to entry of an order continuing the temporary support for another nine months and rescheduling the deposition and hearing at the end of that period” — this would be after the 2020 presidential election. Top Government Watchdog: There Is ‘Strong Evidence of Criminal Misconduct’ by Hunter Biden (VIDEO)

The impeachment trial of President Donald Trump may be over but federal officials are examining the behavior of former Vice President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden. At least one major government watchdog believes the younger Biden may find himself in serious trouble.

Hunter Biden’s business dealings were at the center of Trump’s impeachment case following the revelation that he was being paid up to $50,000 per month to sit on the board of Burisma, a Ukrainian natural gas producer, an amount well-above the average paid to top executives who sit on major corporate boards.

Moreover, the younger Biden had no experience on energy matters or in Ukraine, further raising suspicions that he was inappropriately leveraging his relationship with his father, who was serving as the U.S. vice president, for his personal financial gain. . .

Judicial Watch president Tom Fitton says that Hunter Biden’s business activities in Ukraine could land him in hot water with prosecutors at the Justice Department.

In an interview with One America News, Fitton said there is “strong evidence of criminal misconduct” by the younger Biden as the U.S. Treasury Department has begun turning over confidential bank records related to Biden in response to a request from Senate investigative committees that are scrutinizing his activities.

GOP Senators Formally Ask Secret Service for Records on Hunter Biden

Republican Sens. Chuck Grassley (Iowa) and Ron Johnson (Wis.) sent a letter to Secret Service Director James Murray on Wednesday, requesting the agency provide details on the Hunter Biden’s use of government security and travel accommodations while conducting business deals during the time his father, Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, was vice president. . .

Grassley is chairman of the Finance Committee and Johnson heads the Committee on Homeland Security and Government Affairs. The committees are “reviewing potential conflicts of interest posed” by Biden’s business dealings in Ukraine and China and want to know whether or not those relationships were fostered on the public dime. . .

The Senate Finance Committee and Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee have been investigating Biden’s foreign business dealings for months, after the impeachment probe against President Donald Trump exposed Biden’s contracts with firms in China and Ukraine — where his father represented the United States under the Obama administration.

In their letter Wednesday, Grassley and Johnson wrote that as part of their inquiry, the two committees have already written “several letters” to “other agencies,” and “the Committee on Finance also has written to the Department of Treasury regarding potential conflicts of interest” involving Rosemont Seneca Partners, a company co-founded by Biden and Christopher Heinz, the stepson of former Secretary of State John Kerry. Start-Up Linked to Hunter Biden’s Firm Bagged $3 Million From Government Program Run by Biden Adviser

An investment fund connected to Hunter Biden received three million dollars in taxpayer cash from a federal program run by one of his father’s top advisers, according to revelations in Profiles in Corruption: Abuse of Power by America’s Progressive Elite—a new book by Peter Schweizer, a senior contributor at Breitbart News and the president of the Government Accountability Institute.

In December 2013, Hunter Biden along with his long-time business associate Devon Archer invested in a Hawaii-focused venture capital fund called mbloom. The investment in mbloom, meant to provide seed capital for technology startups, was the result of a public-private partnership between Biden’s firm, Rosemont Seneca Technology (RST) Partners, and the state of Hawaii.

As part of the agreement, RST would provide five million for the fund, with the Hawaii Strategic Development Corporation (HSDC) matching the same amount. Little-known at the time, however, was that more than half of HSDC’s contribution would come from a federal program controlled by a confidant of the Biden family.

As Schweizer reveals in Profiles in Corruption, three million of HSDC’s matching funds came from the Treasury Department’s State Small Business Credit Initiative. The program, which expenses more than $1.5 billion to state economic development agencies, was administered by then-Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Treasury Don Graves.

Complicating matters is that while Graves was overseeing the Small Business Credit Initiative, he was also informally advising Biden on economic and domestic policy as the executive director of the president’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness. That role took on a more official form shortly after mbloom received its contribution from HSDC, with Graves leaving the treasury department and joining the vice president’s office. Will the Senate Call Hunter Biden as an Impeachment Witness?

The following is an excerpt from Blaze Media’s Capitol Hill Brief email newsletter:

After weeks of Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s stalling, the House will finally vote to appoint impeachment managers and send the articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump over to the Senate on Wednesday. After some preliminary actions later this week, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell says he expects the Senate trial to begin in earnest on Tuesday after the long Martin Luther King Jr. Day weekend.

There’s still the question of how long the trial will last, which largely depends on who, if anyone, the chamber decides to call as witnesses. Mitt Romney says he wants to put former national security adviser John Bolton on the stand. Meanwhile, Rand Paul says that he’ll force votes “to call Hunter Biden and many more” for the sake of balancing things out. McConnell also said that he “can’t imagine” only Democrats’ witnesses being called if witnesses are called. Ted Cruz said that he’s “open to the possibility of the Senate hearing witnesses,” and offered Hunter Biden and the whistleblower as possible examples.

But, per the kind of “phase one” trial process that McConnell has previously outlined, those questions are going to have to wait until this matter actually gets under way and both sides have made arguments in the case.

Hunter Biden Accused of Identity Theft – Here’s Why

Hunter Biden’s long history of drug abuse and the efforts taken to conceal that addiction are taking center stage in the ongoing paternity suit against him in Arkansas.

A private investigator hired by Lunden Roberts, a one-time stripper with whom Biden sired a child, filed documents in Arkansas circuit court on Monday alleging Biden engaged in identity theft to hide his addiction. In particular, the private investigator cited the instance—that Breitbart News first broke last year—in which Biden’s personal effects were found in a rental car in Prescott, Arizona.

Inside the vehicle, which Biden initially rented from a Hertz location in California, was “a white powdery” residue, later confirmed to be cocaine, and a a pipe used to smoke the illegal substance, according to a police report obtained by Breitbart News. Also found was evidence linking the car to Biden, including two drivers’ licenses and credits cards with his legal name, “a secret service business card,” and a Delaware attorney general’s badge from his late-brother’s tenure in the position.

The police report, filed shortly after the car was returned, also described the strange circumstances the car rental site’s employees were subject to in the aftermath of the vehicle’s appearance:

The next morning, according to the police report, a man who identified himself as “Joseph McGee” called the Hertz rental car counter to inform them of how the keys to the car were left in the vehicle’s gas cap rather than in the normal spot. “McGee” informed the rental car company employee, according to police, that “his friend was feeling sick so they didn’t know what to do” when the car was returned. Police, according to a supplemental report filed by a Prescott Police Department detective, sought and obtained a subpoena to discover the source of the “Joseph McGee” phone call—and traced it to a phone number owned and operated by a renowned “Colon Hydrotherapist” in the region.

Surprise, Surprise: Turns out Hunter Biden Isn’t the Only One Benefiting From His Parents’ Careers

It turns out that Hunter Biden isn’t the only one who is rolling in the dough thanks to his parents’ political career. Chelsea Clinton, the daughter of former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, has made $9 million since 2011 for sitting on the board of IAC/InterActiveCorp, a media and internet investment company, The Hill reported. The company has stock in 150 well-known brands, like Tinder, Match, Vimeo, Angie’s List, Home Advisor and the Daily Beast.

According to Barron’s, Clinton has sat on the board of IAC since 2011. Part of her agreement is to receive “an annual $50,000 retainer and $250,000 in restricted IAC stock units.”

A December filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission revealed Clinton “owned the equivalent of 35,242 IAC shares, consisting of 29,843 shares and 5,399 share units under a deferred-compensation plan,” which is worth almost $9 million dollars. Once a board member quits, their share units convert to stocks, Barron’s reported.

Clinton’s stock has skyrocketed. In June it was worth 7.2 million and in October 2018 that same stock was worth 6.6 million.

In addition to sitting on IAC’s board, Clinton sits on the board of Expedia Group. That position typically pays $250,000, at least as of 2015. (Read more from “Surprise, Surprise: Turns out Hunter Biden Isn’t the Only One Benefiting From His Parents’ Careers” HERE)

Hunter Biden’s Child Support Case Just Took an Interesting Turn

. . .The judge in the case, Don McSpadden, ordered both Roberts and Biden to hand over five years worth of financial records as a means of determining how much child support Biden has to cough up. What makes this interesting: McSpadden’s order would force Biden to reveal his position at Burisma, the Ukrainian gas company that hired Biden to sit on its board of directors despite having no natural energy experience. He would also have to reveal just how much money he was paid. We know the figure sits at $50,000 to $83,000 a month. . .

Biden has repeatedly said he cannot afford to pay child support because he has been unemployed since May 2019 and has incurred major debt from a divorce with his ex-wife, Kathleen Biden. But it was recently revealed that he purchased a $2.5 million dollar house in Beverly Hills, California in mid-June, although how much he paid for it is currently unknown.

The case took a wild turn when McSpadden suddenly recused himself from the case Tuesday morning, although it is unclear why, the Arkansas Democrat Gazette reported. During the Tuesday court meeting, Roberts’ attorneys pressed McSpadden to hold Biden in contempt of court for failing to produce his financial documents. . .

The next scheduled hearing with McSpadden was scheduled for Tuesday, January 7th, although that court date is expected to be pushed back. (Read more from “Hunter Biden’s Child Support Case Just Took an Interesting Turn” HERE)

Hunter Biden Fires Back After PI Claims Secret Bank Records ‘Verify’ $156m Counterfeiting Scheme

Hunter Biden’s attorneys fired back Monday after a private investigation firm again attempted to stage a highly unusual intervention in his ongoing child-custody dispute in Arkansas, this time claiming its investigators have lawfully obtained access to Biden’s bank account records and confirmed his involvement in a massive, $156 million “counterfeiting scheme.”

In a motion to strike, Biden’s legal team unconditionally denied the unverified claims, and called the effort by the Florida-based D&A Investigations another obviously bogus “scheme by a non-party simply to make scandalous allegations in the pending suit to gain media attention without any material or pertinent material.”

D&A claimed in its most recent filing Dec. 27 with the court in Independence County, Ark., that it has provided attorneys for Lunden Alexis Roberts, who was seeking custody over the child she said Hunter Biden fathered, “access to [Hunter Biden’s] bank account records subject of known felonies including fraud and counterfeiting.” D&A was seeking to be added as a party to the case, claiming it could support Roberts’ accusations and prove that Biden was involved in illegal activity while dodging discovery quests.

D&A alleged that the “bank account records bear exhibit identifier(s) known by [Hunter Biden] as the subject of criminal investigation(s) both adjudicated and ongoing, of which he is a party to.” The firm also claimed the bank records “provide the source and destination bank account numbers of Burisma Holdings Limited, PrivatBank, Bank of China, [Hunter Biden’s] business partners, Rosement Seneca Bohai,” and others. . .

The bank records “verify the counterfeiting scheme accumulating $156,073,944.24 with an average account value (monthly balance) in the amount of $6,785,823.66.” Burisma, the filing claimed, financed “Atlantic Council (Ukraine) and associated rogue operatives from the [U.S. State Department], FVEY, and CrowdStrike in Ukraine, suing PrivatBank.” (Read more from “Hunter Biden Fires Back After PI Claims Secret Bank Records ‘Verify’ $156m Counterfeiting Scheme” HERE)
