Top Islamic Authority Calls for Crucifying, Chopping Off Limbs of ISIS Terrorists

The institution widely regarded as the premier learning center for Sunni Islam called to brutally punish Islamic State members after the release of the video apparently showing a captive Jordanian pilot being burned alive, an act it described as contrary to the Muslim religion.

The Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar Ahmed al-Tayib issued a statement following the burning alive of Lt. Muath al-Kaseasbeh saying the brutal act “requires the punishment mentioned in the Koran for these corrupt oppressors who fight against God and his prophet: killing, crucifixion or chopping of the limbs,” Agence France-Presse reported.

The head of the Cairo-based institution expressed his “strong dismay at this cowardly act” and referred to the Islamic State as a “satanic, terrorist” organization.

Muslim clerics have emphasized that burning someone to death is considered despicable by the Islamic faith.

Islamic State extremists released a video Tuesday that appeared to show the Jordanian pilot being burned alive in a cage. (Read more about what the top Islamic authority said HERE)

ISIS Releases Horrific Video Burning Jordanian Pilot ALIVE; Jordan Retaliates, Executes Two Including Woman

By Yahoo News. The Islamic State group released a video Tuesday purportedly showing the burning alive of a Jordanian pilot, in the jihadists’ most brutal execution yet of a foreign hostage.

The highly produced 22-minute video released online showed images of a man purported to be the pilot Maaz al-Kassasbeh, who was captured in December, engulfed in flames inside a metal cage.

Jordanian state television confirmed the death and said Kassasbeh had been killed on January 3, before the jihadists offered to spare his life and free a Japanese journalist in return for the release of an Iraqi would-be suicide bomber held in Jordan . . .

Kassasbeh, a 26-year-old first lieutenant in the Jordanian air force, was captured on December 24 after his F-16 jet crashed while on a mission over northern Syria as part of the US-led coalition campaign against the jihadists . . .

The release of the video of the pilot’s purported murder came days after IS beheaded a second Japanese hostage within a week. (Read more about the horrific death of the Jordanian pilot HERE)

Grieving Father Kills 7 ISIS Terrorists in a Revenge Attack

By Gareth Roberts. An Iraqi man has reportedly gunned down seven Islamic State (ISIS) terrorists in a revenge attack for the death of his son.

A string of reports claim Basil Ramadan, said to be in his 60s, opened fire with an AK-47 assault rifle on a group of ISIS militants at a checkpoint in the city of Tikrit.

He killed seven before he was shot dead on Sunday morning.

Local media say ISIS terrorists executed Ahmed Ramadan, an 18-year-old college student, earlier this year.

He was killed alongside seven other young men who were accused of collaborating with the Iraqi security forces, reports say. (Read more from this story HERE)

Jordan Executes Two ISIS Terrorists – Including a Woman – In Retaliation

By FoxNews.com. Jordan said it had executed 2 prisoners early Wednesday after a new video surfaced on the Internet Tuesday showing ISIS burning alive a Jordanian pilot the terror group had held since December.

Government spokesman Mohammed al-Momani said that prisoners Sajida al-Rishawi and Ziad al-Karbouli were executed. Al-Rishawi has been on death row for her role in a triple hotel bombing in the Jordanian capital Amman in 2005 that killed dozens. Over the past week, Jordan had twice offered to swap her for the pilot, Lt. Muath al-Kaseasbeh. However, officials have said his captors did not deliver proof he was still alive, and the swap never moved forward.

The 44-year-old Iraqi woman’s suicide belt did not detonate at the time of the Amman attack and she fled the scene, but was quickly arrested. After a televised confession, she recanted, but her appeal was turned down.

Al-Rishawi had family ties to the Iraqi branch of Al Qaeda, a precursor of ISIS. Ziad Al-Karbuli was a former aide to Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the Jordanian Al Qaeda operative who was killed in 2006. (Read more from this story about the retaliatory executions for the Jordanian pilot burning HERE)

Japanese Confirm Beheading of Kenji Goto

Photo Credit: International Business Times By Priya Joshi. The Japanese government has confirmed that a video showing the beheading of hostage Kenji Goto appears to be genuine.

The one minute-long footage was released by Islamic State (IS) on Saturday (31 January).

The video titled ‘A Message to the Government of Japan’ shows Mr. Goto dressed in an orange jumpsuit, kneeling on the ground as the executor, believed to be Jihadi John, delivers a scripted speech in which he threatens to inflict more brutality on the citizens of Japan.

He says: “Abe, because of your reckless decision to take part in an unwinnable war, this knife will not only slaughter Kenji, but will also carry on and cause carnage wherever your people are found. So let the nightmare for Japan begin.”

The Japanese, UK and US governments have strongly condemned IS for the latest execution of a hostage. (Read more about the beheading of Kenji Goto HERE)

As Japan Grieves Over Second Citizen Slain by ISIS, Jordan Still Holding Their Breath

By Bill Neely. As Japan reels from the apparent beheading of a second citizen by ISIS, another country half a world away is holding its breath.

With the purported beheading of journalist Kenji Goto — just days after ISIS murdered another Japanese citizen — Tokyo has been dragged squarely into a conflict it has long sought distance from. Goto’s image is everywhere and Japan’s bleary-eyed Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has vowed the country will “never, never forgive” the terrorists who took him.

But while the world’s attention focused on the fate of two Japanese hostages — and collectively expressed outrage over their murders — ISIS has threatened to kill another captive whose fate has much greater significance in the battle for control of large swathes of the Middle East.

Jordanian pilot Lt. Muath al Kasasbeh was on a bombing run over Syria in December when he was forced to eject and immediately captured by ISIS fighters. His continued captivity — and ISIS threats to murder him — are a national trauma for Jordan.

Kasasbeh’s case underscores how ISIS has Jordan in its crosshairs. The terror group loathes the moderate Muslim regime and its king, viewing Jordan as a treacherous country for its decades-long alliance with the United States. ISIS is at Jordan’s border and wants nothing more than to destabilize the country and ultimately make it part of its ‘caliphate.’ (Read more from this story HERE)

Insider Warns of Imminent Attack: ISIS Planning Something Much Bigger Than 9/11

By Justin Koski. A British medical student – who went looking for ISIS on a search for a friend’s twin daughters who left home to marry terrorists – lived with ISIS, earned their trust, and managed to escape to Turkey. He said that ISIS, or Daesh, is planning something bigger than 9/11.

“They want to be more better than al-Qaeda,” Ahmad Rashidi said to NBC’s Richard Engel on Meet the Press. “They want to do something more better than the World Trade Center.”

He added that the U.S. bombings are making Daesh “happy” because they elevate the group’s status to that of al-Qaeda. (Read more about what the ISIS planning HERE)

ISIS Launches Attack On Oil Rich Iraqi City

By Laura Smith-Spark. ISIS militants have attacked Kirkuk in northern Iraq, an effort that might be an earnest attempt to capture the key oil-rich city or perhaps to divert Kurdish troops fighting to capture the Islamist extremist group’s stronghold of Mosul.

For months, ISIS has been facing off with the Peshmerga — armed fighters who protect Iraqi Kurdistan — to the west of Kirkuk. It had gone into areas on Kirkuk’s outskirts, but not the central city.

Until now, apparently.

Heavily armed militants attacked an abandoned hotel in central Kirkuk that local police had used as their headquarters.

Peshmerga and Kurdish anti-terror units later raided the hotel, wresting control of it from the militants and killing three of them, according to Peshmerga sources. In addition, two suicide bombers detonated themselves in an attempt to keep the Kurdish forces out. (Read more from this story HERE)

Face to Face With Boko Haram: A Christian Boy Tells His Story After Escape

Photo Credit: BreitbartBy Emmanuel Ogebe. Henry must have touched a cord of compassion amongst the bloodthirsty killers. Upon his abduction, they initially assumed his injured leg was a war injury. Being a soldier meant immediate beheading. Christians usually were given a chance to convert before being killed. Not soldiers – Christian or Muslim.

They seemed to believe his denials that he was a soldier. When they asked him later if he had anyone they could call to ransom him, he said he had no one and had just come out of a 14-month hospitalization. The terrorists offered to help him when they learnt he lost his dad at age 2. He was crippled so he couldn’t be much help as a fighter…

Many months later, after the abduction of the Chibok girls [276 Nigerian schoolgirls kidnapped en masse], they said to him, “if you need anything, tell us – even if you want a wife, you can marry one of the girls we captured.” Henry is one of only a couple of people I know who has inside perspective about the girls’ abduction apart from the girls themselves. . .

On another day, Henry buried his head and wept silently as the terrorists described how they had completely destroyed a town – his hometown. It was a completely Christian hilltop enclave that had survived numerous attacks. He wondered what had happened to his aged mum. He must not let the terrorists know it was his hometown lest they finish him off, too.

After 9 months, Henry fled. (Read more about the story after escape HERE)

Woman’s Story of Captivity in ISIS

By Eli Lake. This week I visited an encampment north of Mosul, Iraq, where a cleric introduced me to Najat Owdi Rashul, an Iraqi Yazidi woman whose family was released last week after six months of Islamic State detention. She described the conditions for her fellow Yazidi women who were held in a make-shift prison at a banquet hall in Mosul.

Of all the horrors of daily life in the custody of the jihadists, Najat recalled, the worst came in the early evenings. That’s when a commander would call out the names of a few captive women and girls, saying the list was approved by special order of the governor of Mosul, or the caliph himself.

“They would scream when their name was called,” she said. “Sometimes they would begin to pull their hair out and beat their face” to make themselves appear uglier. She said they knew they would be taken away, and would never be seen again . . .

Najat said she was not abused. But she told me that she was terrified that her name would be called. While her account obviously cannot be verified, it comports with these other survivors’ stories and reports from the press and human-rights groups.

The experience for her family and their entire village was searing. The family’s patriarch, a stout Yazidi named Murad Khallaf Ali, said that he was lucky because he was too old to be pressed into service. But many of the younger, more able men were forced to tend the sheep the Islamic State troops had stolen from Yazidi villages, or to place homemade bombs on the sides of roads. ISIS Threatens to Behead Obama Inside White House

Photo Credit: Free BeaconThe Islamic State (IS) terror group threatened to behead President Barack Obama inside the White House in a new propaganda video released this week, according to a watchdog group monitoring the terror group.

In the video, titled, “Bombardment of Peaceful Muslims in the City of Mosul,” an IS (also known as ISIS and ISIL) militant is shown beheading a captured Kurdish fighter and making threats to the West.

“The fighter makes threats against the U.S., France, Belgium, and the Kurds,” according to the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI). “He threatens that he and his comrades will reach America and behead Barack Obama in the White House”

The IS militant also says that the group “will target France and Belgium with car bombs and explosives and will behead Kurdistan Regional Government President Masoud Barzani,” according to MEMRI.

After showing scenes of burnt bodies and destruction caused by the ongoing fighting in Iraq, “a group of armed and masked ISIS fighters stand on a Mosul street around a Kurdish soldier who is kneeling on the ground,” MEMRI writes. (Read more about the threat to behead Obama HERE)

Mystery Iraqi Man Saving ISIS Sex Slaves in Clever Way

As thousands of women and girls are being raped, abused and victimized as part of the Islamic State’s sex slave operation in Iraq and Syria, one Iraqi man is buying ISIS sex slaves in order to free and reunite them with their families.

In the Islamic State’s sex slave market, captured religious minority women, girls and even babies are sold to militants and supporters willing to dish out good money for a new jihadi bride or woman they just want to abuse and hand off to their buddies when they are finished.

Although many find it unethical to participate in the Islamic State’s human trafficking market that helps fund the terrorist organization that has killed thousands, one unnamed Iraqi man is purchasing ISIS’s sex slaves not for phyiscal pleasure but to give them freedom.

As Walid Shoebat reports, an Iraqi man, who remains nameless, disguises himself as a human trafficking dealer in order to “infiltrate” the Islamic State and get the militants to sell him sex slaves. But in purchasing sex slaves, the man finds a way to reunite them with their fathers, husbands, and the rest of their family.

For many yazidi women taken as sex slaves by ISIS, there is no guarantee that they will ever be reunited with their fathers, husbands or brothers. (Read more about the man saving ISIS sex slaves HERE)

ISIS Releases Message Extending Deadline for Hostage Swap

The Islamic State group released a message purportedly from Japanese hostage Kenji Goto on Thursday, extending the deadline for Jordan’s release of an Iraqi would-be hotel bomber linked to Al Qaeda.

The audio recording, in English, says the Jordanians must present female jihadist Sajida al-Rishawi at the Turkish border by sunset Thursday, or Jordanian pilot Lt. Muath al-Kaseasbeh will be killed, The Associated Press reported.

On Wednesday, Jordan agreed to an ISIS demand for the release of al-Rishawi.

The recording, distributed on Twitter by ISIS-affiliated accounts, appeared to be more rushed than two previous ones purportedly from Goto, which showed a photo of him along with the audio recording.

Thursday’s recording contained only the audio, with an image of Arabic text that was an exact translation of the statement. (Read more about the hostage swap HERE)

Deadliest Since Benghazi: ISIS Group Attacks Libyan Hotel

Photo Credit: New York Times Militants claiming allegiance to the Islamic State said they were responsible for an armed assault on a luxury hotel that killed at least eight people here on Tuesday, the most significant in a string of terrorist attacks against Western interests and government institutions in the capital since the ouster of Col. Muammar el-Qaddafi more than three years ago.

Four or five gunmen shouting “God is great” stormed the hotel, the Corinthia, in the early morning, witnesses said. The attackers fired their guns into the lobby, battling guards and indiscriminately shooting at civilians, according to witnesses, news reports and people in contact with associates inside the hotel.

Officials said at least five of those killed were foreign visitors. The State Department confirmed that an American had been killed, and witnesses said he was a former Marine working in security. The Associated Press, citing an executive at Crucible, a security company in Fredericksburg, Va., later identified the American as David Berry, a contractor with Crucible.

It was the deadliest attack on Western interests in Libya since the assault on the American diplomatic mission in Benghazi that killed Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens in 2012. It was also the bloodiest of several recent attacks by Libyans pledging loyalty to the Islamic State, raising fears that its example was further inflaming Libya’s violence.

Fighters wearing black uniforms labeled “police” and loyal to the Tripoli government — one of two rival governments now fighting for control of Libya — responded to the attack, cordoning off streets and surrounding the hotel. Their forces entered a long standoff with assailants still inside. (Read more about the ISIS attack on the Libyan hotel HERE)

Japanese Hostage Assumed Murdered by ISIS

By Martin Fackler. Japan’s prime minister expressed outrage on Sunday at an image released Saturday that appeared to show the decapitated body of one of two Japanese hostages captured by Islamic State militants, and President Obama condemned what he called a “brutal murder.”

The kidnappers had threatened to kill the men if a Friday deadline passed for a $200 million ransom from Japan. On Saturday, a video appeared in which one of the hostages, Kenji Goto, a 47-year-old journalist, was shown holding a photo of what appeared to be the decapitated body of the other hostage, Haruna Yukawa, 42, an adventurer.

The prime minister, Shinzo Abe, said that while experts were still analyzing the photo, it had “a high chance of being real.” Speaking on a television debate show, Mr. Abe condemned the apparent killing of Mr. Yukawa as an “outrageous and unforgivable act of violence,” and demanded the immediate release of Mr. Goto. Japan Left Speechless After the Supposed Killing of a Hostage

By Fox News. Japan’s prime minister said Sunday he was “speechless” after an online video purportedly showed an Islamic State militant killing one of the two Japanese hostages.

Shinzo Abe told Japanese broadcaster NHK the government is still reviewing the video, but it was likely authentic. Abe offered his condolences to the family and friends of 42-year-old Haruna Yukawa, who was taken hostage in Syria last year.

Abe did not comment about the message in the latest video that demanded a prisoner exchange for the other hostage, journalist Kenji Goto.

“I am left speechless,” he said, stressing he wants Goto released unharmed. “We strongly and totally criticize such acts.” (Read more about Japanese hostage assumed murdered by ISIS HERE)

Green Party Says Western Militaries Bad, ISIS Rebels Good

Joining al Qaeda or ISIS should not be illegal, the leader of the Green Party has said. She could see no conflict between that and her party’s wish to downgrade much of Britain’s military. The party plans to turn a number of British military bases into nature reserves, convert military engineering firms over to manufacturing renewable energy technologies, and scrap the nuclear weapon deterrent.

Speaking to Andrew Neil on today’s Sunday Politics, Natalie Bennett, leader of the Green Party confirmed that the Green Party’s policy document states that “it should not be a crime simply to belong to an organisation or have sympathy with its aims, though it should be a crime to aid and abet criminal acts or deliberately fund such acts.”

“This is a part of our policy that I think dates back to the age of the ANC and apartheid South Africa,” she said.

When quizzed on whether that meant people would be allowed to be members of al Qaeda or ISIS, she replied “Exactly. What we want to do is make sure we are not punishing people for what they think or what they believe. (Read more from this story HERE)
