New York GOP Rep. Peter King on Sunday called again for better surveillance of mosques in the U.S., suggesting Islamic terrorists visit them and said that critics can “cry all they want” about the tactic amounting to a civil liberties violation.
King, a member of the House’s Homeland Security and Select Intelligence committees, told “Fox News Sunday” that “99 percent” of Muslims in the United States are good people and that he’s friends with people of the Islamic faith.
“But the fact is, (mosques are) where the threat is coming from,” King said.
He also argued that some Americans have a “blind political correctness” on such issues and that civil libertarians and other critics of better mosque surveillance can “cry all they want” . . .
King, a 12-term congressman and former chairman of the lower chamber’s Homeland Security committee, also suggested that he agrees with Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al Baghdadi saying in a purported video this weekend that the roughly 16 months of U.S.-led airstrikes in Syria have done little damage to the terror group. Earlier this week on his radio show, conservative talker Rush Limbaugh explained why it was his view Islam wasn’t a religion, but instead what he called a “conquest ideology.”
According to Limbaugh, not properly defining Islam for the sake political correctness will be to our own detriment . . .
Can I be honest with you about, say ISIS, or any other jihadist Islamic organization? It’s not about revenge. You might think it is because they’re out dealing with who they consider to be infidels. But the reason they’re such a threat and need to be taken seriously is that militant Islam, jihad, ISIS, Al-Qaeda, you name it, they are conquerors, folks. They’re not getting even with anybody for mistreatment or what have you.

Leaders of several American Muslim organizations warned Donald Trump and other presidential candidates Monday that if they engage in bigotry and “Islamophobia” they will pay a political price because Muslim voters – in the words of one – will mobilize and “make sure you are out of there.”
“Let it be heard, and clear, to all political candidates, be it Donald Trump or whoever else, that indeed, if you engage in Islamophobia, if you engage in demagoguery and bigotry, you will pay a political price,” American Muslim Alliance director Mahdi Bray said at the National Press Club.
“Because we’re going to register our people and we’re going to use our ballot and we’re going to ‘take our souls to the polls’ and make sure you are out of there,” he continued.
Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) national executive director, Nihad Awad, standing alongside Bray, quickly clarified that the organizations on the platform – members of the U.S. Council of Muslim Organizations (USCMO) – were not endorsing any candidate.

Democrats Criticize Trump, Other Republicans on Islam
By David Roach. In the final Democratic presidential debate of the year, all three candidates said the U.S. government should partner with Muslims in the fight against terrorism and accused Republicans of demonizing adherents of the world’s second largest religion.
Former secretary of state Hillary Clinton’s suggestion that Republican front-runner Donald Trump’s statements on Islam are used as recruiting tools by the terrorist group ISIS drew both media attention and calls by Trump for an apology.
“We also need to make sure the really discriminatory messages that Trump is sending around the world don’t fall on receptive ears,” Clinton said during the Dec. 19 debate. “He is becoming ISIS’s best recruiter. They are going to people showing videos of Donald Trump insulting Islam and Muslims in order to recruit more radical jihadists. So I want to explain why this is not in America’s interest to react with this kind of fear and respond to this sort of bigotry.”
Clinton apparently was referencing Trump’s Dec. 7 call for a temporary ban on Muslim immigration to the U.S. in response to the threat of Islamic terrorism.
Trump demanded an apology Dec. 21, calling Clinton’s statement “a disgusting story she made up about me,” according to Politico. There was a big controversy after Thursday’s holiday concert at the local high school – when the teenagers belted out a praise song to Allah . . .
Television station WCCO first reported on the holiday dustup – quoting several moms and dads who were not all that happy their children were singing about the glories of Islam.

Parents Question Choice to Sing ‘Allahu Akbar’ at Holiday Concert
By John Lauritsen. Some parents in the Anoka-Hennepin School District are questioning a choir teacher’s decision to use a song about Ramadan performed in Arabic at a holiday concert.
At Thursday night’s concert at Blaine High School, one of the songs students will be singing includes Arabic words, including the phrase “Allahu Akbar,” which means “God is great.”
Christian and Jewish songs will be performed as well, but the Ramadan song is getting all the attention.
It started with a post on Facebook. A parent of a ninth-grade Blaine choir student posted the lyrics to the song the choir has been practicing. When others learned students would be singing the song on Thursday, the comments took a turn.

Photo Credit: CNN After a teacher at a Virginia school handed out a standard homework assignment on Islam, such an angry backlash flooded in that it prompted officials to close every single school in the county as a safety precaution.
“While there has been no specific threat of harm to students, schools and school offices will be closed Friday, December 18, 2015,” Augusta County Schools said. Extracurricular activities were shut down Thursday afternoon . . .
When the world geography class at Riverheads High School in Staunton rolled around to the subject of major world religions, homework on Islam asked students to copy religious calligraphy.
It read:
“Here is the shahada, the Islamic statement of faith, written in Arabic. In the space below, try copying it by hand. This should give you an idea of the artistic complexity of calligraphy.”

By Randy DeSoto. President Obama plans to meet with Muslim leaders later this week to discuss how his administration is working to combat discrimination and acts of hatred against those who practice that faith.
Young Conservatives highlighted the seeming incongruity of concerns the president has about potential backlash towards Muslims versus the real world violence radical Islamists visited on San Bernardino less than two weeks ago.
“What’s truly disgusting about this is how the president hasn’t personally met with victims’ families from the San Bernardino attack, who are dead because a Muslim terrorist decided to go beyond ‘hateful talk’ and end the lives of 14 innocent individuals,” writes Michael Cantrell for Young Cons. “Apparently these folks don’t matter enough for Obama to take time out of his busy schedule of doing nothing to show a little kindness. If they were Muslims, that would be a totally different story,” Cantrell believes.
Speaking at a naturalization ceremony held at the National Archives on Tuesday, Obama likened the Syrian War refugees (the vast majority of whom are Muslims) to the Jewish refugees the United States allowed to immigrate to the country following World War II.
“In the Syrian seeking refuge today, we should see the Jewish refugee of World War II.,” the president said. “In these new Americans, we see our own American stories — our parents, our grandparents, our aunts, our uncles, our cousins who packed up what they could and scraped together what they had. And their paperwork wasn’t always in order. Obama makes last-minute decision to tack on San Bernardino pit stop on way to 17-day Hawaiian vacation

White House Spokesman Josh Earnest said Obama will stop in the Southern California community on his way to Honolulu with his family, where he traditionally spends Christmas.
‘While he is en route, the president will stop in San Bernardino, California, to visit privately with the families of the victims of the terror attack that occurred earlier this month,’ Earnest said. Sweden welcomed Syrian Refugees with open arms. Sweden’s government and people rolled out the welcome mat for refugees by bringing in over 200,000 Syrians, many of whom settled in Stockholm. The humanitarian act of generosity and virtue has now been met with messages of hate and intolerance, and if true, those very refugees are threatening to kill Swedish citizens if they refuse to convert to Islam.
According to the Daily Mail, tensions started in October within the Swedish community who reported to authorities that they were being harassed and threatened with beheading if they didn’t convert to Islam. Walls of their businesses were subjected to threatening graffiti which read, “Convert or Die,” and, “The Caliphate is Here” . . .
Now, the most serious threat to public safety has emerged. Flyers with ISIS flags have been deposited into citizens’ mailboxes. The flyers read:
In the name of Allah, the merciful, full of grace. You who are not believers will be decapitated in three days in your own house. We will bomb your rotten corpses afterwards. You must choose between these three choices: 1. Convert to Islam. 2. Pay the jizya [religious tax] for protection. 3. Or else, you will be decapitated. The police will not prevent or save you from you being murdered. (Death comes to all of you).
Police and intelligence officials are taking the threat of forced conversion very seriously and are investigating the matter. The letters have been distributed into mailboxes across the entire country of Sweden, not just in Stockholm. In a May 2014 sermon, James McConnell told worshippers at the Whitewell Metropolitan Tabernacle in Belfast: “Islam is heathen. Islam is satanic.”

When MSNBC’s Chris Hayes tried to argue that the man who shot three people at a Planned Parenthood office in Colorado was no different than the radical Islamists who slaughtered 14 people in California, because the killers were following their religion, Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa) said it was not the same because Jesus never ordered people to kill but Muhammed did.
On the Dec. 9 edition of MSNBC’s All In with Chris Hayes, the host said, “Why is this any different? You, understandably, as a Christian, as someone of the faith, right, you look at what happened at Planned Parenthood and say, ‘that’s not the faith that I believe in.’”
Rep. King answered, “What Planned Parenthood is doing [aborting babies] is not the faith that I believe in.”
“But Jesus never ordered anyone to be killed,” said King, “and He never raised his hand to injure anyone specifically, but Muhammed did.”

Only a day after two ISIS-inspired Muslims slaughtered 14 people at a Christmas party in San Bernardino, California, Attorney General Loretta Lynch went before a Muslim advocacy group and urged Muslim parents to contact the Justice Department and the Department of Education if their children are bullied at school.
Jesse Lee Peterson, a radio host and founder of the civil rights nonprofit BOND, believes Lynch and the Obama administration have their priorities backward if they worry more about an anti-Muslim backlash than about Islamic terror at a moment like this.
“No looking out for the Americans, no looking out for the concerned citizens, but take care of the Muslims,” Peterson, author of “The Antidote,” said recently on his radio show. “Had this attack been carried out by Christians, it would be a different story.
“Obama refused to call the slaying Islamic terror. Does anybody know why? Do you need more proof of where Obama is coming from, which side of the fence he’s on?”
