Do Pentagon Pizza Orders Really Predict War? We Investigated

The Pentagon has been busy. With conflict escalating in the Middle East between Israel and Iran, many federal workers are pulling odd hours to monitor the situation on the other side of the world. And since AI hasn’t taken over every job just yet, those workers need to be fed.

Enter: the Pentagon Pizza Index.

Initially used by the Soviets as a Cold War-era tool for open-source intelligence, according to Euro News, the theory was that an increase in food deliveries to federal buildings might be an indicator of potential crises.

The theory was later popularized by Frank Meeks, a Domino’s franchise owner in the Washington, D.C., area, who told the Los Angeles Times he delivered a record number of pizzas to the CIA on Aug. 1, 1990—the night before Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait.

Now, an anonymous X account, @PenPizzaReport, has taken up the mantle of monitoring the activity of pizza places neighboring the Pentagon, as reported live on Google Maps.

Although @PenPizzaReport provides valuable information by capturing the data and sharing it publicly, what it doesn’t do is compare its findings to the timeline of global events to determine whether the increase in pizza orders is one of correlation or causation. So that’s what the Daily Caller did. (Read more from “Do Pentagon Pizza Orders Really Predict War? We Investigated” HERE)

Did Israel Just Try to Kill Iran’s Supreme Leader?

Israeli forces have reportedly bombed the area where Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, is believed to be hiding.

It is unclear whether the Israeli Air Force was actually targeting Khamenei in the attack. Baku.ws reported that “the Israeli Air Force is bombing a district of the Iranian capital where, according to sources, the bunker of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is located.”

Israeli forces have also reportedly struck Iran’s Ministry of Defense.

Video footage circulating on social media shows Israeli bombs decimating areas of Lavizan, where Khamenei’s bunker is believed to be located.

President Donald Trump on Tuesday issued a thinly veiled threat to Khamenei in a post on Truth Social, saying the White House knows where he is hiding. “He is an easy target,” Trump wrote. “But is safe there—We are not going to take him out (kill!), at least not for now. But we don’t want missiles shot at civilians, or American soldiers. Our patience is wearing thin.” (Read more from “Did Israel Just Try to Kill Iran’s Supreme Leader?” HERE)

Discredited Neocon Talking Points From the Iraq War Are Back, Lazily Re-Purposed for Iran

Remember all the infamous one-liners from the Global War on Terror? In the years after 9/11, when the neocon establishment in Washington was pushing ahead with its disastrous wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, they were everywhere.

It’s a slam dunk case! We have to fight them over there so we don’t have to fight them over here. We’ll be greeted as liberators. Islam is a religion of peace. Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists. God has planted in every heart the desire to live in freedom.

Those last two are direct quotes from President George W. Bush, the man most responsible — whether through extreme naiveté or extreme duplicity — for propagating these ridiculous slogans and using them to justify decades-long wars that ended in ignominy for the United States. You’d think that after Iraq and Afghanistan this kind of rhetoric would be totally discredited. But you’d be wrong.

Over the past few days, almost since the moment Israel began bombing Iran, we’ve seen the reappearance of almost all the old GWOT rhetoric. Then as now, the purpose is to justify a U.S. military adventure abroad and gaslight the American people into supporting regime change in Iran.

For those of us who were in high school and college during and immediately after 9/11, who saw the propaganda play out in real time, it’s an amazing thing to witness what’s happening now. US Is Assisting Israel Against Iranian Missile Attacks, Official Confirms

The U.S. is offering assistance to Israel against hundreds of missiles launched in a retaliatory attack from Iran, according to an email from a U.S. official to Blaze News.

Iran issued the attack after Israel launched Operation Rising Lion that successfully targeted Iran’s nuclear development capabilities as well as its military leadership. The U.S. admitted prior knowledge of the Israeli plan but denied any direct involvement.

In a statement to Fox News, a senior U.S. official confirmed that the U.S. is aiding Israel against the missile attacks.

“There are hundreds of thousands of American citizens and other American assets in Israel, and the U.S. is working to protect them,” the official said.

An email from a U.S. official to Blaze News confirmed the report.

That email said the U.S. is assisting Israel with shooting down the Iranian missiles but offered no other details. (Read more from “US Is Assisting Israel Against Iranian Missile Attacks, Official Confirms” HERE)

Christian Israeli Diplomat Murdered in D.C. Hailed Trump’s ‘Legacy’ of Peace, Creating ‘More Secure’ World; The New Details About the Israeli Embassy Staffers’ Assassinations Are Horrifying

By Breitbart. The Christian Israeli embassy staffer gunned down alongside his almost-fiancée in a terror attack outside the Capital Jewish Museum had long praised President Donald Trump’s leadership — both abroad and at home — as a blueprint for peace and strength, highlighting his refusal to start new wars and crediting him with preserving peace and making “the international system more secure” by confronting threats like Iran, China, and ISIS.

On Wednesday night, Yaron Lischinsky and his soon-to-be fiancée, Sarah Milgrim, were shot and killed by a gunman reportedly yelling “Free Palestine” before opening fire on attendees of a pro-Israel event in Washington, D.C. The killing is being investigated as a targeted act of terrorism motivated by antisemitic hatred.

President Trump said the killings, rooted in antisemitism, “must end, NOW!”

“Hatred and Radicalism have no place in the USA,” he added.

Lischinsky, a Christian who worked in the political department of the Israeli Embassy in Washington, had been a passionate advocate for peace through deterrence and moral clarity.

The New Details About the Israeli Embassy Staffers’ Assassinations Are Horrifying

By Townhall. Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim were gunned down by Elias Rodriguez at the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, DC, on Wednesday night. It was a political assassination. The pair were also a couple, set to be engaged before being cut down by a rabid antisemite. Rodriguez chanted, “Free, free Palestine,” as he was taken into custody by police. This senseless act of violence was already heinous, but a new affidavit sheds new light on the brutality of this attack. Rodrguez fired a total of 21 shots. Ms. Milgram tried to crawl away, and Rodriguez followed and continued to shoot her. Jennifer Van Laar at RedState highlighted the key passage:

In summary, the video shows a slim build person, wearing a blue jacket with a hood, a large dark-colored backpack, blue pants, and light-colored shoes, consistent with the clothing worn by RODRIGUEZ, walking across F Street, Northwest, in the direction of the Museum and where the decedents were standing preparing to enter the crosswalk. Once RODRIGUEZ walked past the decedents and two witnesses, he turned to face their backs and brandished a firearm from the area of his waistband. RODRIGUEZ is captured on the video extending both his arms in the direction of the decedents and firing several times as indicated by the muzzle flashes.

Once the decedents fell to the ground, RODRIGUEZ is captured on the video advancing closer to the decedents, leaning over them with his arm extended, and firing several more times. As Decedent-1 attempted to crawl away from RODRIGUEZ, he followed behind her and fired again. After a brief moment, RODRIGUEZ appeared to reload his firearm. At the same time, Decedent-1 sat up. Once he reloaded, RODRIGUEZ fired several times at Decedent-1. RODRIGUEZ is then captured jogging back in the direction of 3rd Street, NW, and southbound in the direction of where the entrance to the Museum is located.

Is This the Manifesto Written by the Shooter Who Assassinated Israeli Embassy Staffers in DC?

Israeli Embassy staffers probably expected a quiet evening. They were set to attend an event for young diplomats at the Capital Jewish Museum on Wednesday night in Washington, DC. They would be cut down by gunfire by a rabid antisemite, Elias Rodriguez, who shouted, “Free Palestine,” as he was taken into custody by police.

It was a political assassination. And this might be a manifesto posted by Rodriguez before the attack (via Times of Israel):

The purported manifesto of the suspected gunman in Washington’s Jewish museum shooting posted online Wednesday night defended using “armed action” to protest what he called the “genocide” being carried out against Palestinians in Gaza.

The statement, posted on the social media platform X at exactly 10 p.m. local time, less than an hour after the shooting, was signed by Elias Rodriguez, the name of the suspect arrested by police. It could have been a scheduled post or posted by a third party; its accuracy has not been verified.

[…]

The approximately 900-word online statement mentions the high death toll in Israel’s war against Hamas in Gaza and references US Air Force serviceman Aaron Bushnell — who died after setting himself on fire outside the Israeli Embassy in Washington in February 2024 to protest the war — as on of those who “sacrificed themselves in the hopes of stopping the massacre.”

The statement also expresses dissatisfaction with American support for Israel, claiming that while public opinion has shifted against the Jewish state, “the American government has simply shrugged, they’ll do without public opinion then, criminalize it where they can, suffocate it with bland reassurances that they’re doing all they can to restrain Israel where it cannot criminalize protest outright.”

As Attacks on Christians Rise in Israel, Netanyahu’s Snub of Francis Is a Dangerous Step

At a session of the Israeli Knesset’s Immigration, Absorption and Diaspora Affairs Committee on Monday (May 5), Aida Touma-Sliman, a Christian legislator from northern Israel, sounded the alarm about a disturbing pattern of harassment of Christians in the country. During Holy Week, many Christians from the West Bank were denied entry into Jerusalem, and on Holy Saturday, the eve of Easter, Israeli police prevented worshippers from reaching churches.

The disruptions were a continuation of a sharp increase in attacks against Christians documented in a March 2025 report by the Rossing Center for Education and Dialogue that showed rising incidents of violence: clergy spat on, church property vandalized, crosses desecrated and pilgrims harassed. In many cases, police were slow to respond — if they responded at all.

“If this country respects all religions,” Touma-Sliman said, “what is happening against Christian clergy should have caused a huge uproar and upended the country.”

Touma-Sliman also condemned the Israeli government’s glaring failure to recognize the death of Pope Francis. The government of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu sent a lower-level aide to Francis’ funeral, along with the Israeli ambassador to the Holy See, while the leaders of some 130 other nations attended. The excuse given — that the funeral fell on the Jewish Sabbath — rang hollow, especially in light of the Israeli ambassador’s presence at the service.

The Israeli government sent only a bland, formal message of condolences on the day of Francis’ death, and even a perfunctory tweet from the Foreign Ministry was quickly deleted under pressure from far-right coalition members. Shocking Gallup Survey Finds 60% of Dems Are Anti-Israel — First Time Ever for Major US Political Party

More than half of Democrats are anti-Israel, according to a shocking new poll.

Only 33% of Dems surveyed by Gallup said they had a favorable view of Israel, while a whopping 60% said they viewed the Jewish State unfavorably and 4% had no opinion.

It’s the first time ever that a Gallup survey showed a majority of members of a main US political party had a negative opinion of the Jewish state, with the question being asked since 1989.

By comparison, 83% of Republicans said they had a favorable view of Israel, and just 13% unfavorable, with 4% not offering an opinion, the poll found.

“This year marks the first time any party group has had majority-level unfavorable ratings of Israel, with 60% of Democrats expressing that view,” Gallup said.

Overall, 54% of Americans surveyed had a favorable view of Israel and 41% unfavorable, the lowest rating since 2000. (Read more from “Shocking Gallup Survey Finds 60% of Dems Are Anti-Israel — First Time Ever for Major US Political Party” HERE)
