Gates Foundation Cuts 20% of Staff, Launches External Review of Bill Gates’ Ties to Jeffrey Epstein

The Gates Foundation is planning to reduce its workforce by about 20 percent of its total staff while simultaneously commissioning an outside review of Bill Gates’ connections to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

The Wall Street Journal reports that an internal email sent to employees reveals that the philanthropic organization is undertaking significant organizational changes amid ongoing controversy surrounding Chairman Bill Gates’s association with Epstein. The foundation has faced sustained scrutiny since details of Gates’s relationship with the disgraced financier became public.

Mark Suzman, CEO of the Gates Foundation, disclosed in a Tuesday memo that he had commissioned an external examination of the foundation’s engagement with Epstein, as well as a review of policies governing how new philanthropic partnerships are vetted and developed. Suzman stated in the communication, “This is a challenging time for our organization in many ways, but it also highlights the critical importance of taking the tough actions now.” The Journal reported that an update on this review is anticipated during the summer months.

The foundation’s troubles intensified in January when the Justice Department released emails showing correspondence between Epstein and staff members at the organization. These DOJ documents additionally contained photographs showing Bill Gates alongside Epstein, as well as images of Gates with women whose faces had been redacted.

In February, the foundation issued a statement asserting that it had never made financial payments to Epstein nor employed him in any capacity. The organization also expressed regret that any of its employees had interacted with him. During a town hall meeting with foundation staff that same month, a spokesperson told Reuters that Gates “took responsibility for his actions” concerning his ties to Epstein. Trump Melts Down at Major U.S. Ally After New Epstein Drama

Donald Trump attacked the British prime minister for appointing a U.S. ambassador who was ultimately fired in a scandal over the envoy’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein.

“Prime Minister Keir Starmer of the United Kingdom acknowledged that he ‘exercised wrong judgement’ when he chose his Ambassador to Washington,” Trump wrote on Truth Social late Monday night, referring to former ambassador Peter Mandelson.

“I agree, he was a really bad pick,” the president added, before somewhat confusingly signing off: “Plenty of time to recover, however!”

Starmer, whose ruling Labour Party has consistently bled support since its resounding electoral victory in 2024, now faces the most perilous challenge to his leadership to date after it emerged last week his officials had overridden internal concerns about Mandelson’s friendship with Epstein, and business ties with China, in appointing Mandelson as British ambassador to Washington. Donald Trump Rages at ‘Fake News’, Breaks Silence on Melania Trump’s Jeffrey Epstein Speech

President Donald Trump has finally addressed First Lady Melania Trump’s controversial remarks on Jeffrey Epstein from the White House. She shocked everyone when she dismissed allegations about her relationship with disgraced financier and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell, in a speech on April 9.

After the surprise announcement, her ex-chief of staff also gave the president’s claim a ‘B-’ rating that he had no idea about her speech and that he was “caught off guard” by her unexpected statement.

And now, Trump has finally put the talk to rest. According to the Mirror, the president has revealed that she gave a statement denying her connection with Epstein as a constant stream of “fake news” was “bothering” her. This happened after a reporter questioned Trump about the recent statement outside the White House.

Speaking to reporters outside the White House on Thursday, April 16, Trump said there were no ties between his wife and Epstein. “She had none”, he said. “Because the fake news said she did. She had none. I think that’s been proven”, he continued.

Trump and Epstein were reportedly once friends, but their relationship strained with time. Despite repeated mention of his name in Epstein Files released by the DOJ, the president claimed to have no awareness or ties to Epstein’s criminal activities during the billionaire’s lifetime.

REPORT: UK Prime Minister Claims Officials Hid Former Ambassador’s Epstein Ties From Him

The British Prime Minister’s office reportedly claims that officials within the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office withheld critical information about former ambassador Peter Mandelson.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer suggests his own government failed to inform him that Mandelson received security clearance despite concerns raised during the vetting process, including concerns tied to his security vetting and alleged connections involving Jeffrey Epstein, according to SkyNews’ Political Editor Beth Rigby. Officials now say neither Starmer nor Foreign Secretary David Lammy knew that Mandelson’s clearance allegedly went against the recommendation of U.K. security vetting authorities.

The scrutiny was toward senior civil servants inside the Foreign Office—particularly Olly Robbins, the department’s top official. Rigby posted that Starmer had already been asking internal questions about the vetting process in recent days, especially after The Guardian reported the story. Despite those inquiries, officials allegedly failed to disclose that Mandelson’s clearance had been granted despite objections from vetting authorities.

On March 16, Rigby said she pressed Starmer on Mandelson’s appointment, and he responded that “due process was followed” while acknowledging system weaknesses, calling the outcome “my mistake,” and issuing an apology. 10 Downing Street, the Prime Minister’s office, now says officials withheld key vetting details from Starmer, including that Mandelson received security clearance despite concerns, even as he addressed Parliament, according to The Guardian’s political editor Pippa Crerar.

Is This Deported Model the Reason Melania Distanced Herself From Epstein?

On Thursday afternoon, First Lady Melania Trump addressed the nation in a six-minute-long speech.

“The lies linking me with the disgraceful Jeffrey Epstein need to end today. The individuals lying about me are devoid of ethical standards, humility, and respect,” she began. She went on to deliver a meandering account, distancing herself from the convicted sex offender.

At 9 p.m. Wednesday, prior to Melania’s speech, an account that appears to belong to Amanda Ungaro, a Brazilian former model who resided in the United States for 23 years prior to being deported by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in June 2025, posted a message to former U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter.

“Are you already aware of the situation?” she wrote. “Do you fully understand the extent of the information I possess regarding you and the individuals associated with you? I strongly advise you to consider the seriousness of these matters. Any actions taken against me or attempts to escalate this situation could have significant legal consequences,” Ungaro continued.

“I expect this to be handled with the appropriate level of responsibility and professionalism moving forward.” The post was accompanied by four photos, including what appears to be a young Ungaro holding a baby. [The X Post has since been removed.]

Melania Suddenly Breaks Silence on Epstein Scandal — Denies Ties to Maxwell Despite Email Evidence

First Lady Melania Trump stunned Washington on Thursday with a rare and forceful public statement addressing lingering questions about her past proximity to convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein — while also calling for sweeping public hearings into his network of associates.

Speaking from the White House, Melania flatly denied any involvement in Epstein’s crimes and moved to distance herself from his longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell, despite resurfaced evidence showing the two once had limited social contact.

“I am not Epstein’s victim. Epstein did not introduce me to Donald Trump,” she said, adding that while their social circles occasionally overlapped in places like New York and Palm Beach, she “never had a relationship with Epstein or his accomplice.”

Her remarks come amid renewed scrutiny of Epstein-related records, including a 2002 email exchange between Melania and Maxwell that was recently made public. In the message, Melania sent a friendly note referencing a magazine story about Epstein and suggesting they connect in New York.

Addressing the email directly, Melania dismissed it as insignificant. “My reply cannot be categorized as anything more than casual correspondence,” she said, calling it a “trivial note” that did not reflect any deeper relationship.

Still, the resurfacing of that exchange has reignited interest in the extent of her past proximity to Maxwell — a woman widely described as a central figure in Epstein’s criminal enterprise. At the time, both moved in overlapping elite social circles, where interactions among high-profile figures were not uncommon.

Melania emphasized she had no knowledge of Epstein’s abuse and never visited his private island or traveled on his plane — two key points that have been central to allegations involving other figures linked to the case.

“I know what I did, and more importantly, what I didn’t do,” she said.

In a surprising twist, the first lady went further, urging Congress to hold public hearings featuring victims in order to expose those connected to Epstein’s crimes — a move that could put renewed pressure on political and social elites.

The call is notable given that her husband, Donald Trump, previously downplayed renewed attention on the Epstein case, at times framing it as politically motivated. Trump and Epstein were known to have socialized in the past before reportedly falling out in the early 2000s.

Melania’s decision to address the issue so directly — and publicly — has fueled speculation that more revelations could be forthcoming. Whether her remarks were preemptive or simply an effort to draw a clear line between herself and the scandal remains unclear.

What is certain is that her statement has once again pulled the Epstein saga — and the powerful figures who once orbited it — back into the spotlight.

Iran War, Epstein Files Causing Male Voters to Abandon Trump: Support has Cratered by an Astonishing 20 Points

During Wednesday’s episode of The Megyn Kelly Show, Kelly pointed to fresh polling analysis from CNN senior data analyst Harry Enten, who said Trump’s approval among men has swung sharply negative since November, with the steepest declines among men under 45 and men under 25. Kelly argued the numbers pose a serious political risk for Trump and Republicans ahead of the midterms.

“Trump won in 2024 because of men. They are abandoning him right now,” Enten said on Tuesday.

According to CNN’s analysis of multiple national polls, Trump won male voters by 13 points in the 2024 presidential election. That advantage has since flipped. Enten said Trump is now seven points underwater in net approval among men overall—a roughly 20‑point swing in just over a year.

The movement is even more pronounced among younger men. Enten reported that Trump carried men under the age of 45 by five points in 2024 but now holds a net approval rating of -9 with that group. Men under 25 show a similar collapse, shifting from backing Trump in the election to registering a net approval of minus 19 in recent polling.

Reacting to the data, Kelly said the figures suggest “the coalition Trump relied on is no longer as solid as it looked on Election Day,” warning sustained losses among young men could reverberate across battleground districts in the midterms. Hackers Who Breached FBI Epstein Files Were So Disturbed by the Evidence They Threatened to Report It to the FBI

A strange cybersecurity incident involving files connected to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein has come to light after newly released U.S. Justice Department records revealed that hackers once infiltrated an FBI server — only to threaten to report the breach to the FBI themselves.

According to documents and reporting reviewed by Reuters, a hacker gained access on Feb. 12, 2023, to a server inside the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s New York Field Office. The system was connected to the bureau’s Child Exploitation Forensic Lab, which stores digital evidence used in investigations involving child exploitation cases, including material related to Epstein.

The intrusion reportedly occurred after a system used for handling digital evidence was left vulnerable while being configured for remote access by FBI Special Agent Aaron Spivack. The breach was discovered the following day when Spivack logged into his workstation and found a message indicating the network had been compromised.

Logs also showed suspicious internet activity and evidence that someone had browsed files tied to the Epstein investigation.

In a bizarre twist, the intruder apparently did not realize the system belonged to the FBI at first. After encountering files containing evidence from child exploitation investigations, the hacker left a note saying they were disturbed by what they had found and threatened to report the server’s owner to federal authorities.

FBI personnel later contacted the hacker through a video call and showed official credentials to confirm that the system was, in fact, operated by law enforcement.
Investigators still have not identified the individual responsible for the intrusion, though officials believe it was likely carried out by a foreign cybercriminal rather than a government-backed intelligence service.

Authorities have not disclosed exactly which Epstein-related files were accessed, copied or potentially lost during the breach.

Spivack later documented the incident in internal reports and said he believed he was being made a “scapegoat” for the security lapse. He reportedly blamed confusing internal IT procedures and unclear guidance for leaving the system exposed. The results of the FBI’s internal investigation into the breach have not been made public.
