‘Religion of Woke’: Hawley Slams Corporations for Liberal Agenda

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) addressed controversies over ‘woke’ marketing agendas during remarks at the religious conservative activist conference Road to Majority on Friday.

Hawley focused on his Christian faith for most of the speech, claiming corporations are pushing a “religion of woke.” Hawley vowed to defeat a new form of ‘cultural Marxism,’ saying it has taken over the Democratic Party and the media while taking root in universities.

“These new Marxists want to give America a new religion. They want to impose on us the religion of woke,” Hawley said. “It is the religion of transgenderism, critical race theory and open borders, multiculturalism, and they are shoving it down our throats.”

Hawley, who said he believes Marxism has taken over control of the Democratic Party, called Marxism the greatest threat the nation is facing. He added that it has “infected even our corporations.”

‘No Scientific Evidence’: Hawley Rips Judicial Nominee for Arguing Religious Americans More Likely to Spread COVID (VIDEO)

Republican Sen. Josh Hawley of Missouri said he won’t vote for one of President Joe Biden’s judicial nominees Wednesday due to arguments she made that religious Americans were more likely to spread COVID-19.

Loren AliKhan, Biden’s nominee for United States District Judge for the District of Columbia, testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee Wednesday but was confronted by Hawley about her beliefs regarding religious discrimination. Hawley asked if AliKhan believed it was wrong to discriminate against religious communities and questioned her previous comments about the COVID-19 pandemic.

“Do you think it’s wrong to discriminate on the basis of religious faith,” Hawley asked?

“Absolutely,” AliKhan said.

“Then why did you argue that religious services and religious people pose a greater risk of infection than people gathered to argue for defunding the police,” Hawley replied? Senator Calls Out Credit Card Companies for Tracking Gun-Related Purchases

On Tuesday, Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) called out three major credit card companies over their decision to separate gun-related purchases from other transactions made with their payment cards.

To recap, the Associated Press reported this week that Visa said on Saturday that it will start separately categorizing sales made on their payment methods at gun shops. The report described this as a “major win” for those in favor of gun control, claiming it will “help better track suspicious surges of gun sales that could be a prelude to a mass shooting.” Mastercard and American Express said they would categorize these types of sales as well.

Townhall site Bearing Arms noted that this came after New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) urged credit card companies to “do their part” to stop gun violence.

Bearing Arms also noted that the CEO of Amalgamated Bank claims this move by credit card companies “answers the call of millions.”

Berkeley Professor to Hawley: ‘Your Line of Questioning Is Transphobic’

Berkeley law professor Khiara Bridges rebuked Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.) during a Senate hearing on Tuesday, accusing him of peppering her with a line of transphobic questioning.

Bridges during an exchange with Hawley at the hearing cited the suicide attempt rate among transgender people and accused Hawley of asking questions that could lead to violence against the trans community. Hawley appeared annoyed with those accusations and eventually asked Bridges if that was how she treated her students.

The dispute began when Hawley began asking questions about pregnancy.

“You’ve referred to people with a capacity for pregnancy. Would that be women?” the senator asked Bridges during a Senate Judiciary Committee hearing on abortion rights.

“Many cis women have the capacity for pregnancy. Many cis women do not have the capacity for pregnancy,” Bridges responded. “There are also trans men who are capable of pregnancy as well as nonbinary people who are capable of pregnancy.” (Read more from “Berkeley Professor to Hawley: ‘Your Line of Questioning Is Transphobic’” HERE)
