Trump ‘Outs’ Judge Napolitano

By The Daily Caller. President Donald Trump tweeted after Saturday’s rally in Wisconsin an attack on Judge Andrew Napolitano, claiming the judge had come to him privately to ask for a Supreme Court nomination.

“Thank you to brilliant and highly respected attorney Alan Dershowitz for destroying the very dumb legal argument of ‘Judge’ Andrew Napolitano….” Trump began, following his praise of Harvard professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz with an immediate pivot to an attack on Napolitano. . .

Trump appeared to be referring to the fallout from the recently-released Mueller report, which Napolitano has argued on his Fox News Digital show “Judge Napolitano’s Chambers” stands as proof that the president obstructed justice.

Trump: Fox’s Napolitano Asked Me to Pardon His Friend, Put Him on Supreme Court

By The Hill. Napolitano, a former superior court judge in New Jersey, works as a legal analyst for Fox News. In a pair of tweets Saturday evening following his campaign rally in Green Bay, Wis., the president accused the commentator of becoming “very hostile” after Trump supposedly turned him down for the nation’s highest court. . .

The White House did not immediately return a request for comment regarding when the conversation with Napolitano occurred or whom the Fox News commentator supposedly asked Trump to pardon.

Trump frequently showers praise on Fox News figures who are seen as allies of his administration, including Dershowitz, who has defended the president amid the now-concluded investigation into Russia’s election interference and Trump’s campaign. Judge Napolitano: Hillary Clinton Committed Perjury Last Week, FBI Will Pursue Indictment

[According to Judge Napolitano], the Department of Justice and FBI audience was looking for “perjury, for misleading statements and for what federal law calls ‘bad acts’” [from Hillary Clinton’s Thursday testimony before Congress on Benghazi].

“Perjury is lying under oath. Mrs. Clinton committed perjury when she denied that she knew anything about supplying arms to rebels,” Napolitano said. “Not only did she know about it, she authorized it,” he asserted.

Napolitano noted a New York Times columnist called her the “midwife of chaos” for her “introduction of U.S. military hardware into the hands of gangs in Libya, some of whom were run by known al-Qaida operatives, several of whom murdered Ambassador Stevens.”

[He went on to assert that the] “crime of misleading Congress carries the same penalty as lying to Congress – five years per misleading statement,” Napolitano pointed out. “Her frequent use of double negatives and her professed lack of memory may save her from perjury but not from the charge of misleading – being deceptive. What she plainly revealed is a willingness and natural proclivity to deceive,” he concluded.

“We know she knew the true source of the Benghazi attacks the day they happened, even as she was lying and blaming a cheap video,” he noted. ”The FBI knows how to build a case on ‘bad acts’ – here, persistent deception – and how to use that to trap and indict the perpetrator.” (Read more from “Judge Napolitano: Hillary Clinton Committed Perjury Last Week, FBI Will Pursue Indictment” HERE)

Judge Napolitano: Someone In The White House Committed A Felony (+video)

Fox News Senior Legal Analyst Andrew Napolitano appeared on “Special Report with Bret Baier” to discuss the recent White House prosecution scandal, during which he gave his opinion that someone in the Obama administration could be prosecuted for covering up the fact that a White House staffer was implicated in the investigation.

“I see a serious legal issue here,” Napolitano said, “Here’s the legal issue: the government is permitted legally to lie to us. Jay Carney, Josh Earnest, whoever’s speaking for the President, may lawfully lie. We of course can be prosecuted if we lie to the government. But the government can’t lawfully lie to itself.”

Judge Nap: Idea of Chaplain for Atheist Soldiers Is ‘Political Correctness Gone Crazy’

The Department of Defense may soon consider adding a chaplain for atheist service members. A source told Fox News that the Military Association of Atheists and Free Thinkers planned to make the request today, floating its president Jason Torpy as the proposed chaplain.

Rep. John Fleming, R-La., who last year opposed the creation of such a position, also voiced concerns about the planned request. He told FoxNews.com he’s got to wait and see how the proposal plays out, but threatened to use legislation to block it if necessary.

“We’re only finding out about this now,” he said. Fleming said the law is clear that any chaplain needs to have an “endorsing agency” and questioned whether the applicant would have that here. “We just don’t see any avenue, but you know we’ve been surprised before by the military.”

The move would come after lawmakers, including Fleming, battled over the same issue last year.

Democrats tried, unsuccessfully, to pass legislation creating such a post in 2013. In response, Republicans offered up a measure of their own to prohibit the Pentagon from naming such a chaplain. The House approved the measure in July.

Fox News Under Fire, Falsely Asserts Planned Parenthood Doesn’t Do Abortions

A Fox news anchor is drawing criticism from pro-life advocates for saying in a news report that Planned Parenthood doesn’t do abortions. Moreover, former Judge Andrew Napolitano agreed with the anchor that that was the case.

Anchor Martha MacCallum was conducting a report on the decision by a federal appeals court to allow Texas to continue its effort revoking taxpayer funds from the Planned Parenthood abortion business.

“So judge obviously there has been a lot of debate in this country over whether or not the federal government and states should fund Planned Parenthood because they do refer people to and give them counseling with regard to abortion. They don’t perform abortions at Planned Parenthood,” she said to Napolitano, who responded, “Correct.”

“So Planned Parenthood says that most of what we do is outreach to women who need cancer screenings and basic health care, OBGYN health care, we do not provide abortions, we do counsel people, and we do help them, if they say that that’s what they want to do, we help them get there,” MacCallum added.

However, Planned Parenthood’s own figures show it is the biggest abortion business in the nation.
