U.S. Marines Forced to Pick Up Afghanis’ Feces in Kabul Before Leaving in 2021

Before they were allowed to leave Kabul in August 2021, having just lost 13 comrades to a suicide bomber, Marines were ordered to pick up human feces and other disgusting trash at the airport so as to leave it pristine for the Taliban.

This humiliation is recounted for the first time in a new book, “Kabul: The Untold Story of Biden’s Fiasco and the American Warriors Who Fought to the End.”

The Kabul airport passenger terminal was filthy on Aug. 28, 2021, after the botched Afghanistan withdrawal. More than 120,000 Afghans had camped there for a week, “defecating and leaving trash, bags, clothes, and other unspeakable things.”

Marines at every level were infuriated at being “forced to scoop up human poop.” The order to clean “came with a threat that we would not leave at all if it was not completed,” one junior Marine told authors Jerry Dunleavy and James Hasson. WATCH: Viral Marine Who Slammed Kabul Disaster Wants To Charge CENTCOM Commander for Dereliction of Duty

Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller, the active-duty Marine officer who caught viral attention for criticizing the leadership decisions in the U.S. evacuation in Kabul, Afghanistan, is now saying he wants to prosecute Marine Gen. Kenneth McKenzie for dereliction of duty.

In a video released on Thursday, Scheller said his continued criticisms of military leadership could result in pre-trial confinement and an escalation in his legal status.

“To recap my position, in the fallout of Afghanistan I demanded accountability in my senior leaders and I stated then that I understood that I might lose my battalion commander seat, my retirement and my family’s stability,” Scheller said. “As it has played out, I have in-fact lost all three of those things.”

Scheller indicated that rather than pursuing a court-martial over his critical remarks, the Marines had offered him a non-judicial punishment and separation under honorable conditions, so long as he is willing to give up his commission and not fight for his retirement.

“The reason I can’t let it go and the reason I’m not just taking an offer is because I feel like there are general officers in our institution who aren’t being held accountable,” Scheller said. Marine’s Shocking Video of Afghanistan Withdrawal Exposes Just How Insanely Chaotic Evacuation Was

Raw and shocking footage of the U.S. evacuation from Kabul shows much more chaotic scenes than many were led to believe happened during the Afghanistan withdrawal.

Real-life, behind-the-scenes video clips were released last week by Marine Cpl. Mike Markland. The Marine, who was at Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, captured the grittiness and desperation of the hurried evacuation of the Afghan capital as the Taliban marched toward power.

Markland stitched together video clips from a GoPro camera attached to his helmet to show exactly how tumultuous and unorganized the evacuation at the Kabul airport was. The firsthand footage reveals “two straight weeks of worsening conditions” on the ground as seen from the viewpoint of the Marine from 1st Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment.

Markland posted the video on his Instagram, but it has since been deleted. Task & Purpose published the video, as well as Markland’s commentary from social media, which has also been removed.

“I hope this answers questions but also provokes you to ask more,” Markland captioned the since-deleted Instagram video. “To my brothers and sisters who were there I made this for you and your family. When you have the lack of ability to explain all that happened in those two weeks, show them this. Stand tall and wear the last two weeks on your chest.” (Read more from “Marine’s Shocking Video of Afghanistan Withdrawal Exposes Just How Insanely Chaotic Evacuation Was” HERE)

Disturbing Report: U.S. Evacuated Afghans With Child ‘Brides’ They Raped

U.S. officials are looking into reports that in the frantic evacuation of desperate Afghans from Kabul, older men were admitted together with young girls they claimed as “brides” or otherwise sexually abused.

U.S. officials at intake centers in the United Arab Emirates and in Wisconsin have identified numerous incidents in which Afghan girls have been presented to authorities as the “wives” of much older men. While child marriage is not uncommon in Afghanistan, the U.S. has strict policies against human trafficking that include prosecutions for offenders and sanctions for countries that don’t crack down on it.

One internal document seen by The Associated Press says the State Department has sought “urgent guidance” from other agencies after purported child brides were brought to Fort McCoy in Wisconsin. Another document, described to the AP by officials familiar with it, says Afghan girls at a transit site in Abu Dhabi have alleged they have been raped by older men they were forced to marry in order to escape Afghanistan. The Disgrace Continues: Taliban Fans Hold Mock Funeral for U.S., NATO Allies; Parades Stolen U.S. Military Hardware

By Breitbart. Taliban supporters in the southeastern Afghanistan city of Khost held a “mock funeral” for the United States and NATO on Tuesday, complete with flag-draped coffins.

The coffins were covered with American, British, French, and NATO flags, plus Taliban flags declaring victory over those foreign armies. Members of the crowd fired guns into the air in celebration.

“August 31 is our formal Freedom Day. On this day, American occupying forces and NATO forces fled the country,” a Taliban official declared during televised coverage of the event.

“Other images shared online on Tuesday showed Taliban members walking through Kabul airport in U.S.-supplied fatigues, some brandishing gleaming rifles and others trying out state-of-the-art night vision goggles or sizing up U.S. helicopters,” Reuters reported. Videos: Taliban Parades Captured U.S. Military Hardware

By Breitbart. Taliban fighters on Wednesday gleefully paraded outside the city of Kandahar with captured American vehicles and weapons abandoned by President Joe Biden during his chaotic withdrawal from Afghanistan, the Agence France-Press (AFP) reported, confirming the authenticity of images of the display.

Videos show Taliban flags flew from the enormous convoy of transports and armored fighting vehicles outside Kandahar. The jihadist organization also reportedly flew a captured U.S. Black Hawk helicopter over Kandahar, dragging a Taliban flag behind it.

Report: New Deal for Security at Kabul Airport Would See Taliban Recognized as Legit Government

Turkey will operate Kabul’s airport in collaboration with Qatar, according to a new report.

As part of the deal, Turkey — a NATO member — will recognize the Taliban as the legitimate government of Afghanistan, according to a report by the London-based news outlet Middle East Eye.

News media accounts throughout the frenzied evacuation in Kabul last week pictured the deal to run the airport once the U.S. leaves this week as an on-again, off-again transaction. Trump released a statement on the suicide attacks near Hamid Karzai International Airport in Afghanistan that also wounded 15 U.S. service members and 143 Afghans.

“Melania and I send our deepest condolences to the families of our brilliant and brave Service Members whose duty to the U.S.A. meant so much to them,” Trump said. “Our thoughts are also with the families of the innocent civilians who died today in the savage Kabul attack.

“This tragedy should never have been allowed to happen, which makes our grief even deeper and more difficult to understand,” the former president added. “May God Bless the U.S.A.” . . .

Trump said the Biden administration made “some horrible, stupid decisions” in the past week and a half during the U.S. withdrawal, the worst being “allowing our military to leave before the civilians and before we get all of our equipment back, $83 billion dollars. Pregnant Woman Makes It to Flight From Afghanistan, Gives Birth Onboard

A pregnant Afghan woman managed to make it to an evacuation flight from Kabul’s international airport and gave birth aboard a military plane hours later.

The U.S. military is working to rapidly evacuate thousands of Afghans who worked with Americans and NATO allies during the past two decades of war as the Taliban has now retaken control of the country. President Joe Biden’s administration has faced substantial criticism and political pressure—from Republicans and Democrats alike—to swiftly evacuate the Afghan nationals amid concerns they could face reprisals and death now that the Taliban has returned to power.

Air Mobility Command (AMC), a major command of the U.S. Air Force, posted about the incident involving the pregnant Afghan woman on its official Twitter account on Saturday. The Twitter thread explained that the woman went into labor while en route to Germany and faced complications.

SecDef Austin and Gen. Milley Defend Operational Decisions That Led to Chaos in the Fall of Afghanistan

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Gen. Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, delivered their first briefing on Afghanistan since Kabul fell on Sunday. The two both delivered statements indicating that the situation in Afghanistan is “personal” to them because they served on the ground in Afghanistan during the 20-year war, as Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman said during her briefing shortly before theirs.

Austin was stumped by a reporter’s question outlining the options facing the U.S. forces deployed to Afghanistan over the weekend.

Gen. Milley twice scolded Americans that now is not the time to criticize the decisions made or their consequences, saying there will be time for “AAR” — “after-action reports” — later. . .

Another reporter asked why the military command chose to abandon Bagram Air Base in the month prior to the fall. Austin demurred as if he did not understand or didn’t want to answer the question, and Milley took up answering.

Milley said that based on the number of forces needed to secure both Bagram Air Base and the embassy in the heart of Kabul, the in-country command made the decision to “collapse Bagram” and move forces to concentrate on securing the embassy and that decision was briefed up the chain all the way to the White House. Securing both would have required more forces than the 2,500 that were in country at the time. (Read more from “Secdef Austin and Gen. Up to 21 people were killed in Friday’s attack on a restaurant popular with foreigners in the Afghan capital, after a suicide bomber blew himself up near the entrance and gunmen burst in to spray diners with bullets.

The International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) representative in Afghanistan and four United Nations staff were among the dead, who included 13 foreign nationals, police said.

Islamist Taliban insurgents claimed responsibility for the attack on a Lebanese restaurant in the capital’s central Wazir Akbar Khan district, which hosts many embassies and restaurants catering for expatriates.

“Such targeted attacks against civilians are completely unacceptable and are in flagrant breach of international humanitarian law,” U.N. spokesman Farhan Haq said. “They must stop immediately.”
