Harris Campaign Chair Fails to Identify Path to Win Electoral College in Multi-Page Memo Claiming ‘She’s Going to Win’

Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign chair, Jen O’Malley Dillon, released a memo on Wednesday claiming Harris has “multiple pathways to 270 electoral votes” without actually laying out a specific pathway to that number.

The four-page memo, which claims Harris is “going to win,” also cherry-picks figures from an assortment of polls — dating back to 2022 — and hypes abortion and January 6 as top issues in the race. It comes just days after Democrats succeeded in a behind-the-scenes pressure campaign to oust President Joe Biden from the top of the ticket over worries he would not only lose the presidency but also imperil down-ballot Democrats.

Per the document, which Politico first reported, O’Malley Dillon writes on the first page:

With a popular message, a strong record on the issues that matter most to swing voters, multiple pathways to 270 electoral voters, and unprecedented enthusiasm on her side, the Vice President is in a strong position to take on Donald Trump and win in 104 days.

In the next three pages, she fails to lay out a specific “pathway” to victory, though page three vaguely points to the typical general election swing states and how they will offer “multiple pathways” to victory:

We continue to focus on the Blue Wall states of Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania — and the Sun Belt states of North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona and Nevada, where the Vice President’s advantages with young voters, Black voters, and Latino voters will be important to our multiple pathways to 270 electoral votes.

Stumbling Out of the Gate: Harris Starts Race Down 11 Points, Even Worse Than Biden (VIDEO)

Democrats’ enjoyment of the Kamala Harris campaign’s “new car smell” may prove short-lived, as a brand new poll shows the vice president trailing former President Trump by a whopping 11 points among likely voters — matching up even worse than President Biden, who trailed by 10.

The Forbes/HarrisX survey was conducted July 19-21 — that’s after the Republican convention but before Biden was forced to withdraw from the race.

“Kamala Harris starts her 2024 battle behind Trump, who is enjoying a strong post-convention bump,” said HarrisX chief pollster Dritan Nesho.

“If the polls don’t start to close and show better traction for her, Biden’s decision to step aside for Harris may be a case of ‘too similar, too late.’ That said, Vice President Harris alleviates concerns among the democratic base and is better able to sway undecided independents and suburban women, showing some promise.”

In an ominous note for the Harris campaign, aside from her worse margin against Trump, in her head-to-head matchup, fewer voters were undecided than they were in a Biden-Trump scenario. Among likely voters, Trump led Biden 49%-39% with 12% undecided. However, versus Harris, Trump led 51%-40%, with 9% undecided.

“Democrats are jumping out of the frying pan into the fire,” Trump campaign senior advisor Jason Miller told Fox News. “They may have gotten rid of one problem with Joe Biden, but they’ve inherited a whole new problem with Kamala Harris.”

Trump Files FEC Complaint Over Transfer of Biden Cash to Harris

The Trump campaign filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) on Tuesday, accusing Vice President Harris’s campaign of improperly taking over President Biden’s campaign funds when he left the race Monday.

The complaint, reported by The New York Times, came after the Biden campaign account changed its name to “Harris for President” on Monday following the president’s announcement that he would not seek reelection.

“Kamala Harris is seeking to perpetrate a $91.5 million dollar heist of Joe Biden’s leftover campaign cash — a brazen money grab that would constitute the single largest excessive contribution and biggest violation in the history of the Federal Election Campaign Act of 1971, as amended,” Trump campaign counsel David Warrington wrote.

The suit seeks to block Harris’s access to the war chest. While most campaign finance experts believe that Harris has rightful access to the funds, as she was on Biden’s ticket as the vice presidential candidate, it’s unclear what the FEC will finally rule. . .

The complaint demands a criminal investigation of the conduct, claiming that renaming the committee for Harris is a form of fraud. It instead argues that Biden should be forced to refund his contributions instead of transferring them to Harris. Rep. Introduces Articles of Impeachment Against Kamala Harris

Republican Tennessee Rep. Andy Ogles introduced articles of impeachment Tuesday against Vice President Kamala Harris, citing high crimes and misdemeanors.

Ogles explained to the Daily Caller that he believes Harris “knowingly breached the public’s trust by failing to invoke the 25th Amendment after it became clear that Joe Biden was mentally and physically unfit to serve as president” and said “immediate action must be taken.”

Harris’s Fundraising Frenzy: Brings in $81 Million Within One Day

Vice President Kamala Harris has made headlines with a staggering $81 million raised within just 24 hours of announcing her presidential campaign, setting a new fundraising record in apparent early momentum behind her bid for the White House.

According to reports from Axios, Harris’s campaign attracted donations from over 888,000 grassroots donors, with a significant 60 percent being first-time contributors in the 2024 presidential election cycle. A significant amount of individuals, 43,000, pledged recurring donations to her campaign.

The fundraising haul includes contributions from the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and various joint fundraising committees in a coordinated effort to bolster Harris’s campaign as she steps into the spotlight following President Joe Biden’s decision to withdraw from the race.

Kevin Munoz, a spokesperson for the Harris campaign, released a statement:

Already, we are seeing a broad and diverse coalition come together to support our critical work of talking to the voters that will decide this election.

Biden’s endorsement of Harris as the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee further solidifies her position as the frontrunner, despite ongoing challenges highlighted by polling data. RealClearPolitics polling averages indicate that Harris faces lower favorability ratings compared to Biden, signaling potential hurdles in appealing to a broad base of voters beyond her enthusiastic donor base.

As Harris builds momentum on the fundraising front, questions linger about her ability to translate financial support into electoral success, particularly amidst scrutiny over her insane policy positions. Critics within and outside the Democratic Party have raised concerns about her effectiveness as a unifying figure and her approach to addressing key national and international issues.

Report: Kamala Harris Secures Support Among Enough Delegates to Become Democrat Nominee

Vice President Kamala Harris has been coasting toward the Democrat Party nomination in the wake of President Joe Biden dropping from the race, earning enough delegates to shore up support.

Biden exited the race on Sunday and immediately endorsed Harris, which prompted waves of support and endorsements from top Democrat officials and fundraisers. According to an Associated Press (AP) survey, several delegations met late on Monday to “confirm their support for Harris, including Texas and her home state of California.”

“By Monday night, Harris had the support of at least 2,471 delegates, according to the AP tally of delegates, more than the 1,976 delegates she’ll need to win on a first ballot. No other candidate was named by a delegate contacted by the AP,” noted the outlet.

Harris told campaign staff in Delaware on Monday that she has confidence her new team will perform well, adding that it is her “intention to go out and earn this nomination and to win,” promising to “unite our Democratic Party, to unite our nation, and to win this election.” . . .

Chairman Rusty Hicks said 75 to 80 percent of the state’s delegation was on a call Monday and expressed unanimous support for Harris. (Read more from “Report: Kamala Harris Secures Support Among Enough Delegates to Become Democrat Nominee” HERE)

2019 Ranking Service Rated Kamala Harris as Most Liberal Senator, Further Left Than Even Bernie Sanders

Vice President Kamala Harris was rated the most liberal senator in 2019 — further left than even Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) — according to a GovTrack scorecard.

Harris, whom President Joe Biden opted to back after announcing that he will not seek reelection after all, was viewed as the most liberal senator prior to her becoming vice president.

According to GovTrack, the ideology analysis assigns a score to lawmakers according to their “legislative behavior by whether they sponsor and cosponsor overlapping sets of bills and resolutions with other Members of Congress.”

“The score can be interpreted as a left–right scale measuring the dominant ideological difference or differences among Members of Congress, although of course it only takes into account a small aspect of reality,” it explains.

In a list of all 100 senators in 2019, Harris scored #100, winning the title of the most leftist senator. For greater perspective, Sanders came in right behind her at #99. On the flip side, Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) scored as the most conservative senator that year. A Harris-Newsom Presidential Ticket? There’s One Big Legal Hurdle: The 12th Amendment

. . .[Gavin] Newsom had been named as a potential Democratic nominee or running mate, along with Govs. Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan, Andy Beshear of Kentucky, Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania, and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg.

There’s just one problem for a potential Vice President Newsom: the 12th Amendment. . .

It states’ electors “vote by ballot for President and Vice-President, one of whom, at least, shall not be an inhabitant of the same state with themselves.”

While Harris lives at the vice president’s residency at Washington, D.C.’s Naval Observatory, she maintains official residency and is registered to vote in California.

That means a ticket with two California residents would essentially void the state’s 54 electoral votes, according to legal experts. (Read more from “A Harris-Newsom Presidential Ticket? There’s One Big Legal Hurdle: The 12th Amendment” HERE)

RFK Jr.: DNC Trying to ‘Rig’ Nominating Process to Get ‘Monumentally Unpopular’ Kamala Harris as Nominee

Independent third-party candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has accused the Democratic National Committee (DNC) of trying to rig the election in favor of Vice President Kamala Harris now that President Joe Biden has dropped out.

As Breitbart News reported Sunday, Joe Biden issued a history-making decision unseen since Democrat Lyndon Baines Johnson refused to seek reelection in 1968.

“It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your President,” Biden’s statement read. “And while it has been my intention to seek re-election, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.”

After Biden endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris to take up the party mantle, Democrats immediately rallied behind Biden and celebrated the decision. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said this essentially means party leadership wants to deny voters their right to choose a nominee in a primary election. Hollywood Celebrates Harris: A Desperate Bid to Salvage Democrats’ Sinking Ship

Following President Joe Biden’s stunning announcement that he will not seek re-election, Hollywood’s elite wasted no time in shifting their allegiance to Vice President Kamala Harris, signaling a tumultuous scramble within Democratic ranks and highlighting growing concerns over the party’s political future.

Celebrities including Robert De Niro, Bette Midler, and Mark Ruffalo were quick to eulogize Biden’s tenure, touting his supposed “accomplishments” and integrity, despite widespread dissatisfaction over his leadership. Disney’s Mark Hamill went as far as to claim Biden’s presidency restored “honesty, dignity & integrity to the office,” sentiments that starkly contrast with the realities of his tenure.

Biden’s decision to step aside follows a series of embarrassing public appearances, including a disastrous debate performance that showcased his cognitive struggles. This has left Democrats grappling with the urgent task of finding a viable replacement less than four months before the November elections.

The move to push Biden aside has stirred controversy within Democratic circles, with speculation now swirling about the potential for an open primary. Former President Barack Obama’s notable silence on endorsing Harris has only fueled further uncertainty, casting doubt on her ability to unify the party behind her candidacy.

Despite her own lackluster popularity ratings, particularly compared to Biden, Harris has consistently enjoyed unwavering support from Hollywood, stemming from her days in California politics.

Hollywood’s fervent endorsement of Harris serves as a stark reminder of the party’s ongoing struggle to find a unifying figure capable of challenging Donald Trump in the upcoming election. The spectacle of celebrity endorsements may bolster Harris’ image among progressives but risks alienating moderate voters critical to securing victory.

With the fate of the Democratic ticket hanging in the balance, the upcoming months promise to be fraught with strategic maneuvering and political calculation. As the party prepares for a challenging electoral battle, the spotlight remains fixed on Harris and her ability to galvanize support across a deeply divided electorate.
