Guess What’s Causing Delayed Results in Nevada?

The race between Republican Adam Laxalt and Democratic Senator Maggie Hassan is razor thin as votes in Nevada continue to be counted.

But according to the New York Times, a new batch of mail-in votes will delay final counts.

“Overwhelmed election officials in Nevada say that they have been flooded by thousands of mail-in ballots, and that it may take several days to count the votes and upload results. Last year, the state began requiring that mail-in ballots be sent to every registered voter. While ballots must be postmarked by Election Day, they can be counted if they arrive as late as Saturday,” the New York Times reports. “Elections officials have emphasized the need for patience and have not offered predictions on how quickly they will be able to offer tallies. Jamie Rodriguez, the interim registrar of voters in Washoe County, said she was expecting roughly 16,000 mail-in ballots to arrive on Election Day. She said that those votes would not be counted until Thursday because poll workers were so behind.” (Read more from “Guess What’s Causing Delayed Results in Nevada?” HERE)

Mail-in Ballots Found in Dumpster in California

An investigation is under way after mail-in ballots and voter information guides for the Nov. 8 election were found inside a dumpster at a Lake Elsinore apartment complex, officials said.

The Riverside County Registrar of Voters received a report about the discovery on Wednesday, Oct. 19, the registrar’s office said in an emailed statement. The U.S. Postal Service confirmed the report.

It’s unclear how many ballots and guides were found in the dumpster or where the apartment complex in question is located. A resident reported on social media that at least 100 pieces of election-related mail were in the trash.

The ballots and guides were recovered and mailed the same day, the registrar’s office and postal service said. Elections officials and postal service inspectors are investigating and the matter has been referred to law enforcement, according to Patrick Munar, a registrar’s spokesperson.

A referral also was made to the postal service inspector general, postal service spokesperson Duke Gonzales said via email. (Read more from “Mail-in Ballots Found in Dumpster in California” HERE)

These Eight States Have Already Made Universal Mail-In Ballots Permanent

Eight states have permanently adopted universal mail-in ballots for coming elections.

California on Monday became the latest — and the largest — state to adopt the mail-in ballot system. Now, every single eligible voter in California will be mailed ballots for elections without asking for one. . .

NCSL highlighted the following earlier this year:

Five states—Colorado, Hawaii, Oregon, Utah and Washington—allow all elections to be conducted by mail.

Three states—California, Nebraska and North Dakota—permit counties to opt into conducting elections by mail.

Ten states allow specific small elections to be conducted by mail. [Alaska, Arizona, California, Florida, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, New Mexico, and Wyoming]

President Trump Rails Against Supreme Court for Extending Ballot Deadlines

President Trump took to Twitter to blast the Supreme Court following its decision this week to allow Pennsylvania and North Carolina to count mail-in ballots after Election Day.

“If Sleepy Joe Biden is actually elected President, the 4 Justices (plus1) that helped make such a ridiculous win possible would be relegated to sitting on not only a heavily PACKED COURT, but probably a REVOLVING COURT as well,” Trump tweeted just before 3 a.m. Friday. “At least the many new Justices will be Radical Left!” . . .

The Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld previous decisions to extend absentee ballot deadlines. That will allow ballots to be counted up to three days after Nov. 3 in Pennsylvania and nine days in North Carolina — both key battleground states that Trump won in 2016. . .

The president lashed out against the highest court in the land again Friday morning, responding to a Wednesday story about North Carolina’s extension.

“This decision is CRAZY and so bad for our Country,” he wrote. “Can you imagine what will happen during that nine day period. The Election should END on November 3rd.” (Read more from “President Trump Rails Against Supreme Court for Extending Ballot Deadlines” HERE)

U.S. Postal Service Likely Lost THOUSANDS of Ballots

The Butler County elections director says that if you didn’t get your ballot there’s still plenty of options.

However, the reason for saying that is that KDKA has learned that the county sent about 40,000 ballots to voters, but many voters have said those ballots never arrived.

The county elections director says an unknown number of mail-in ballots were lost by the U.S. Postal Service.

This has been a source of confusion, not just for voters, but for county commissioners overseeing the election.

“I kept checking and as of this morning, it still hasn’t been received,” said Butler County voter Carol May, who says she gave her ballot to the post office two weeks ago. (Read more from “U.S. Postal Service Likely Lost THOUSANDS of Ballots” HERE)

Appeals Court Strikes Down Dems’ Mail-in Scheme

A federal appeals court blocked Minnesota Democrats from extending the state’s mail-in ballot deadline past Election Day, handing state Republicans a major legal victory.

In a 2-1 ruling, the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that mail-in ballots in Minnesota must be received by Nov. 3 in order to be counted. The court ruled that Minnesota secretary of state Steve Simon violated the Constitution when he attempted to extend “the deadline for receipt of ballots without legislative authorization.”

Minnesota Republicans filed the lawsuit in September to challenge Simon’s proposal, which would have allowed mail-in ballots to be counted until Nov. 10, a full week after Election Day, even if they lacked a postmark. State representative Eric Lucero (R.) and Republican elector James Carson said in their suit that the decree was unconstitutional and in violation of federal law. The suit accused Simon of abusing his authority and challenged the legality of counting ballots without any evidence the ballots were cast on or before Election Day.

The decision comes with just days to go before the election. It could bolster Republican campaigns in the battleground state. Polling indicates that President Trump is within range of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden in the state. While Biden enjoyed a lead in the high single-digits earlier this month, polls have narrowed between the two. (Read more from “Appeals Court Strikes Down Dems’ Mail-in Scheme” HERE)

Supreme Court Decides NC Absentee Ballot Deadline

The Supreme Court of the United States on Wednesday decided to uphold the North Carolina State Board of Elections’ decision to extend the state’s mail-in ballot deadline from three to nine days. The decision was made because of the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic.

In order to count, ballots have to be postmarked on or before Election Day but election officials must receive that ballot by 5 p.m. on Nov. 12.

The main question surrounding the case was whether or not the State Board of Elections had the authority to make deadline changes without consent from the North Carolina state legislature.

The decision was made 5-3, with newly-confirmed Justice Amy Coney Barrett sitting out “because of the need for a prompt resolution and because she has not had time to fully review the parties’ filings,” court spokeswoman Kathy Arberg told the Associated Press. Experts Now Saying Don’t Mail Your Ballot; Vote in Person

The Democrats’ ploys to draw out the ballot-counting process have largely failed across the country, so now, election and postal experts are saying it’s already too late to mail your ballot. If you want your vote to count, you need to vote in person.

It appears that about 10 percent of all first-class mail is being delayed because of the massive volume of election mail. Despite extraordinary measures by the USPS to get every ballot where it needs to go to be counted, it won’t be enough to ensure that every single ballot mailed before Election Day arrives in time to be counted.

Daily Caller:

“If you haven’t requested a mail ballot yet, it’s too late,” David Becker, executive director of the Center for Election Innovation & Research, told The Post. “I don’t care about the legal deadline; it’s just too late in terms of getting it processed, getting it mailed to you and you being able to fill it out and return it.”

He added: “You’re just putting too much pressure on yourself. At this point, if you haven’t requested a mail ballot yet, plan to vote in person and vote early, if possible.”

Hillary Clinton Just Contradicted Her Previous Stance on Voting

Democrats have continually told Americans that the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic has made it impossible to vote in person. They tell Americans the safest way to vote in the November election is to do so by mail. What’s not surprising though is these same people refuse to partake in voting by mail. Instead, they show up in-person (Joe Biden is a great example of that hypocrisy).

Now it looks as though former Secretary of State and twice-failed presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is changing course. . .

Knowing all of that, people like Clinton and “Squad” member Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) are voting in person. Maybe it’s because they don’t trust the mail-in ballot system either?

Mail-In Voter Fraud Risk? Surveillance Video Captures Rental Truck Dumping Bags of Mail in California Parking Lot

Bags of mail were found discarded in a California parking lot, according to surveillance video.

“It happened early in the morning, 5:40, and it was a Budget rental, big truck, that backed up to the parking lot. And they’re like, slowly, one by one, they’re dropping the packages,” said Lilia Serobian, who saw the mail being dumped near a spa she owns.

Local outlet KTLA reported that piles of mail were discovered in two locations in Glendale last week, which included unopened letters and boxes.

Surveillance video from near Serobian’s spa caught a rental truck dumping the mail, and she described what the perpetrators left as a “huge pile.” KTLA reported that all of the mail was from the United States Postal Service. . .

Democrats have pushed for mail-in ballots to be utilized this election, citing coronavirus fears. President Trump, however, has said that voting by mail is open to corruption and a delay in the final tally. (Read more from “Mail-In Voter Fraud Risk?
