New Study: Mask Mandates Associated With INCREASED COVID Death Rate

A bombshell new medical journal report comparing Covid-19 fatality rates across Kansas counties during the height of the pandemic alleged that mask mandates could be associated with higher death rates from the virus.

From The National Pulse:

The observational study – “The Foegen Effect: A Mechanism by Which Facemasks Contribute to the COVID-19 Case Fatality Rate” – was published in Medicine in February 2022, authored by German doctor Zacharias Fögen.

The paper analyzed “whether mandatory mask use influenced the case fatality rate in Kansas” during the time period of August 1st, 2020 to October 15th. Kansas was used for comparison because the state allowed each of its 105 counties to decide whether or not to implement mask mandates, with 81 counties deciding against the measure.

“The most important finding from this study is that contrary to the accepted thought that fewer people are dying because infection rates are reduced by masks, this was not the case,” summarized the paper.

DOJ Will Appeal Ruling Nixing Mask Mandates

The Department of Justice announced Tuesday evening the Biden administration will appeal Monday’s ruling by a federal judge in Florida striking down mask mandates for travel.

“The Department of Justice and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) disagree with the district court’s decision and will appeal, subject to CDC’s conclusion that the order remains necessary for public health. The Department continues to believe that the order requiring masking in the transportation corridor is a valid exercise of the authority Congress has given CDC to protect the public health. That is an important authority the Department will continue to work to preserve,” DOJ released in a statement. “On April 13, 2022, before the district court’s decision, CDC explained that the order would remain in effect while it assessed current public health conditions, and that the Transportation Security Administration would extend its directive implementing the order until May 3 to facilitate CDC’s assessment.”

Report: Two Major Airlines Announce They Will Ignore Court Ruling Ending Mask Mandate

Two major U.S. airlines have announced that they will continue to enforce Democrat President Joe Biden’s mask mandate on public transportation despite a federal judge ruling on Monday that the mandate was “unlawful” and that it must be “terminate[d].” . . .

The announcement from the two airlines comes after U.S. District Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle for the Middle District of Florida ruled earlier in the day that the mandate was unlawful because the mandate “exceeded the CDC’s statutory authority, improperly invoked the good cause exception to notice and comment rulemaking, and failed to adequately explain its decisions.”

This School District Is STILL Forcibly Masking Its Students

It’s so shocking that some school districts would still be forcibly masking students, that one might wonder if this is really an article from April 2022, but it is. As Elizabeth Beyer and Emily Hamer of the Wisconsin State Journal reported last week, “Masks will continue to be required in Madison School District through May.”

The decision will be revisited on May 6. As the report cited the district as saying:

“(The school district’s) main goal is to keep schools open and scholars learning safely in-person,” the district said in a statement. “(The district) strongly believes this is in the best interest of students, families, staff and the community.”

Madison’s decision to extend the mandate was made after meetings between district staff and medical advisers, who recommended continuing to mask up indoors, the district said.

Liberal School District Caves After Students Demonstrate Against Masks During Mass Walkout

Hundreds of students at a California school walked out of class on Tuesday afternoon in protest of their district’s continued mask mandate despite statewide requirements being relaxed.

The walkout, according to reports, was in protest of the delay in lifting mask mandates at schools across California. . .

According to Fox News, students assembled outside Oak Ridge High School in El Dorado Hills, California, on Tuesday and demanded the district remove its indoor mask mandate.

Later that day, the El Dorado Union High School District announced that it would be changing mask protocols and would not enforce an indoor mandate by excluding students from school.

“The enforcement of masking will be done by educating students and asking them to mask but no further actions of exclusion from class will be taken,” the district said a statement obtained by the outlet. “Moving forward students will not be physically removed from the classroom or receive a discipline consequence to prevent further exclusionary learning loss.” (Read more from “Liberal School District Caves After Students Demonstrate Against Masks During Mass Walkout” HERE)

Poll: 65% Of Democrat Voters Still Want Face Diapers

Sixty-five percent of Democrat voters still desire mask mandates for fellow citizens, a Wednesday Politico/Morning Consult revealed.

Overall, only 43 percent of voters believe mask mandates should remain in place over those who are unafraid to remove their face coverings.

Among independents, 42 percent oppose lifting mask mandates. A large 20 percent of Republicans also opposed lifting mask mandates.

A Wednesday Rasmussen poll largely confirmed Politico/Morning Consult polling. According to Rasmussen, 49 to 42 percent of people want the mask mandates in place. Rasmussen also found that the majority of individuals still continue to believe masks help block the Chinese virus:

[O]nly 58% of Likely U.S. voters believe masks are effective at preventing the spread of COVID-19, including 31% who think masks are Very Effective. Thirty-nine percent (39%) don’t think masks are effective at preventing spread of the coronavirus, including 20% who think masks are Not At All Effective against the disease.

While the Super Bowl requires attendees provide proof of full vaccination and be masked at all times, celebrities including LeBron James and Jennifer Lopez were spotted not wearing masks while at the event.

Eminem Kneels During Super Bowl LVI Halftime Show Despite Reports NFL Told Him That He Couldn’t

By Brian Linder. Eminem made his name in the early 2000s as a rapper who was not afraid to throw up a middle finger to the man and push every boundary put in front of him.

He is apparently still at it because at the end of his “Lose Yourself,” set during Sunday’s Super Bowl LVI halftime show the Detroit rapper took a knee on stage.

And that is something the NFL reportedly told him specifically that he could not do heading into the night.

Eminem was trending on social media as the game began when reports indicated that his request that he be able to take a knee in support of protests against social injustices and racial inequality was rebuffed by the league. COVID Insanity: Video Shows Dad Forcibly Tossed From School Board Meeting After Refusing to Wear Mask

A father from upstate New York was seen on video being forcibly tossed from a school board meeting this week after he refused to wear a mask.

Dave Calus was unmasked while sitting in a chair watching a presentation at a board of education meeting in Webster on Tuesday night when a security guard approached him and asked him to put on a face covering.

Calus said he told the guard “Thank you,” but refused to cover up. The officer persisted, saying, “No, you need to put your mask on right now.”

The security guard then dragged Calus’ chair toward the back of the room. Calus turns around to confront the guard but is pushed out a back door, video posted to the Facebook page ROC for Educational Freedom Public Page shows.

“What are you doing?!” the woman filming the video yells. “What are you doing?! Holy crap. Holy crap.”

Democrat Politician Poses Maskless in Room Full of Masked Children

Democratic Georgia gubernatorial candidate is facing backlash after her tweet showing a photo of her sitting maskless amongst a class of masked children went viral Friday.

Abrams visited Glennwood Elementary School as a way to partake in the third annual African-American read in, according to Fox News. Three photos were reportedly taken of Abrams and tweeted by the school’s principal, Dr. Holly Brookins. In a now deleted tweet, Abrams quote tweeted the photo of her and the children from the principal saying that her visit was “spectacular, delightful, and outstanding.”

The incident comes after the Decatur City Commission reinstated its “mandatory mask ordinance” until Feb. 22.

Abrams’ campaign manager issued a statement from the Abrams campaign on Twitter.

“It’s all nonsense,” said Adam Jenne in December after he was banned from United Airlines for wearing a red thong as a face mask. “COVID doesn’t know that we’re at cruising altitude. It’s stupid. The whole thing is theater.” . . .

The Democrat mayor of Los Angeles tried to excuse himself for flouting his own city’s mask mandate last weekend with claims Wednesday he was “holding his breath.” . . .

“I’ll take personal responsibility,” Garcetti said in response to a reporter’s question on the photos. “If it makes you and everyone else happy — or even the photographs with people where I’m literally holding my breath for two seconds — I won’t even do that.”

In September, San Francisco Mayor Breed excused herself from wearing a mask in a nightclub where coverings were required per her own city’s order.

Dr. Scott Gottlieb Says It’s Time to Consider Dumping School COVID Mask Mandates

By CNBC. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention should adjust its Covid masking guidance to account for high immunity protection in America, specifically when it comes to schools, Dr. Scott Gottlieb told CNBC on Wednesday.

“We have a much more contagious variant that is probably going to continue to circulate and you have a population that has much more immunity,” the former Food and Drug Administration chief said in a “Squawk Box” interview, referring to the proliferation of the omicron variant in the U.S., on top of most school-age kids being eligible for vaccination. . .

“If we hold out, again, if we wait for 10 cases per 100,000 per day in most communities, we’re probably going to be waiting until the summer; we’re going to lose the opportunity this spring to try to return some sense of normalcy in the schools,” he added, arguing a more appropriate threshold could be 20 cases per 100,000 people per day.

Gottlieb said the CDC’s guidance is “a pretty high threshold in the age of omicron,” adding that agency testing conducted right before the omicron wave showed that 90% of Americans have antibodies against Covid either through a vaccine or infection, or both.
