Megyn Kelly Rips Barack Obama for Posting ‘Least Attractive Photo’ of Wife Michelle on Her Birthday Amid Divorce Rumors: ‘She Looks Terrible’

. . .During the Thursday, January 23, episode of “The Megyn Kelly Show,” the famed journalist shared her thoughts on rampant rumors about the former president and first lady potentially experiencing trouble in paradise after Michelle skipped out on Donald Trump ‘s inauguration earlier this week

“I do not know whether this is true at all,” Megyn admitted. “But if it is true, it truly would be a political earthquake in Democrat circles, never mind America.”

“I don’t remember a presidential divorce in modern history,” she noted.

Megyn proceeded to call out Barack, as she criticized the upload he shared for Michelle’s 61st birthday on Friday January 17.

“Some of you are married. Did you see the post he put out to celebrate for their anniversary? He chose the least attractive photo of her that’s ever been released,” the talk show host claimed. “I mean, this is just wrong. Michelle Obama can look very nice in a photograph. This ain’t it.”

Megyn Kelly’s Today Show Plagued by Awkward Moments and Offensive Remarks

[Editor’s note: We aren’t fans of Megyn Kelly, but it seems most of the hits on Kelly’s new show – like the video below – are coming from the left. If you’ve watched her since leaving Fox, please comment below on whether her show is worth watching]

It’s only day three of Megyn Kelly’s new daytime show on NBC, and the program is already being dragged down by a series of offensive remarks, cringeworthy interactions, and awkward moments.

“Megyn Kelly TODAY” has created a number of bad headlines since its Monday premiere.

In response to a promo video where Kelly claims to be a “unifying force,” John Oliver’s HBO program, “Last Week Tonight” ran a supercut of Kelly’s most “controversial” remarks:

On her first day, Kelly created a mini-controversy by hosting the cast of “Will & Grace” and making a bizarre comment about a gay fan of the show.

Russell Turner, a “super fan” of the show, was invited onstage by Kelly. When he got on onstage, Kelly made viewers cringe by asking, “Is it true that you became a lawyer–and you became gay–because of Will?” (Read more from “Megyn Kelly’s Today Show Plagued by Awkward Moments and Offensive Remarks” HERE)

Advertisers Withdrawing From Megyn Kelly’s Show Due to Alex Jones Interview

Multiple advertisers have told NBC that they don’t want to be anywhere near Megyn Kelly’s forthcoming interview with controversial media personality Alex Jones . . .

NBC declined to say how many advertisers have distanced themselves from Kelly’s new show “Sunday Night.” Most of them are on the local level, meaning companies that bought ads on NBC-owned stations . . .

Kelly interviewed Jones last week. Jones, the leader of Infowars, purports to have millions of listeners and readers. He presents an extreme right-wing view of the world and espouses baseless and offensive conspiracy theories. One of them is that the Sandy Hook massacre could have been a “false flag” operation to win support for new gun control measures.

NBC executives say Kelly repeatedly challenged Jones in the interview. The story about Jones is still set to air this weekend on “Sunday Night,” despite calls from some politicians, media critics and Sandy Hook families to scrap the segment. Trump Attacks Megyn Kelly, Says He’s Not Certain He’ll Attend Debate — See How Fox Just Responded

Republican frontrunner Donald Trump continued his verbal assault on Megyn Kelly Monday, telling CNN that he was not 100 percent certain he would attend Thursday’s debate over concerns the Fox New host would treat him unfairly.

“I don’t like her. She doesn’t treat me fairly. I’m not a big fan of hers at all,” Trump told “Situation Room” host Wolf Blitzer . . .

“If I think I’m going to be treated unfairly, I’ll do something else,” Trump said. “But I don’t think she can treat me fairly actually. I think she’s very biased and I don’t think she can treat me fairly.”

Fox News was swift to respond.

“Sooner or later Donald Trump, even if he’s president, is going to have to learn that he doesn’t get to pick the journalists—we’re very surprised he’s willing to show that much fear about being questioned by Megyn Kelly,” a network spokesperson said in a statement provided to TheBlaze. Megyn Kelly Shows How Low Our Political Discourse Has Sunk

Screen-Shot-2015-08-07-at-2.35.26-PM-998x539Since presidential debates started in 1960, the journalists who are supposed to “moderate” them have increasingly set the agenda and determined the substance of what the public sees. In the first 2016 presidential debate, Fox News’ “moderators” focused on what might embarrass candidates rather than on their record or proposals. Also, they indulged the Republican Establishment’s animus against its least favorite candidate. Though this made for an exciting show, the biggest loser was the public’s interest in understanding candidates and issues. The public interest would be best served were candidates to question one another. That’s how it was done in Lincoln’s day. We could and should get back to that.

Choosing the president of the United states on the basis of short answers to questions formulated or chosen by journalists was always a bad idea. It has only gotten worse. Limited to two minutes, as in the League Of Women Voters debates (Fox’s limit was one minute answers and 30 second rebuttals) the candidates can only reprise their canned talking points or the cleverish ads that are the foul staples of modern campaigns. Such parodies of debates demean the candidates, and all of us who watch. Along with the candidates, we the people become pawns in a game between the political consultants, the “moderators,” and the commentators who then tell us who played best.

The Myth Of The Moderator

Because no one ever doubted that “moderators” would influence the outcome of presidential debates, much effort went into giving the impression that the persons chosen were such as whom all would consider objective and super partes. Trust in the media’s impartiality, however, had vanished long before “moderator” Candy Crowley helped Barack Obama sustain a lie in 2012’s second presidential debate by instantly and counterfactually “fact checking” Mitt Romney. How, not whether, Mainstream Media “moderators” push the agendas of the Democratic Establishment they represented is the only question. Indeed, by 2012 it was difficult to avoid the sense that the media, Fox News included, was focusing negative coverage on the most conservative candidate who happened to be leading in the polls at any given time.

So, as Megyn Kelly’s team prepared for the first debate of the 2016 cycle, and as trumping Donald Trump’s challenge to the Republican Establishment became that Establishment’s overriding concern, it was clear that Fox’s “moderators” would be the most intrusive ever, and that their push of their employers’ agenda and their “take down” of their least favorite candidate would be explicit. In both regards, the Fox team broke new ground and established precedents that should lead us to scrap the post 1960 format. Senator Ted Cruz Tells States to Ignore Supreme Court Ruling on Homosexual Marriage

Credit – Getty ImagesBy NPR. Ted Cruz has some unsolicited advice for the states not specifically named in last week’s Supreme Court ruling on gay marriage: Ignore it.

“Those who are not parties to the suit are not bound by it,” the Texas Republican told NPR News’ Steve Inskeep in an interview published on Monday. Since only suits against the states of Ohio, Tennessee, Michigan and Kentucky were specifically considered in the Supreme Court’s Obergefell v. Hodges decision, which was handed down last Friday, Cruz — a former Supreme Court clerk — believes that other states with gay marriage bans need not comply, absent a judicial order.

“[O]n a great many issues, others have largely acquiesced, even if they were not parties to the case,” the 2016 presidential contender added, “but there’s no legal obligation to acquiesce to anything other than a court judgement.”

While Cruz’s statement may be technically true, federal district and circuit courts are obligated to follow the Supreme Court’s precedent and overrule all other states’ same-sex marriage bans as unconstitutional.

The Texas senator then went on to suggest that Republicans who have called for following the court’s decision are members of a “Washington cartel” and are lying when they say they do not support same-sex marriage. (See more from “Sen. Ted Cruz Tells States to Ignore Supreme Court Ruling” HERE)

Megyn Kelly Grills Ted Cruz Over Supreme Court Fix; ‘You Want to Rewrite the Constitution?’

By Michael Schaus. Republican presidential hopeful Ted Cruz tangled with “The Kelly File” host Megyn Kelly Tuesday, defending his proposal to give American voters the power to remove Supreme Court justices through the ballot box.

Kelly challenged the Texas senator’s plan, saying his plan to “rewrite the Constitution” would result in a court that was even more political than it is now.

Justices are now appointed by the president with the confirmation by the Senate. Barring impeachment, they hold lifetime terms. And since only one Supreme Court justice has ever been impeached (Samuel Chase was acquitted by the Senate in 1805 and remained on the court), they serve in effect until they die or choose to retire.

Cruz, who has been vocal in his outrage over the court’s decisions last week upholding Obamacare and making gay marriage a constitutional right, argued that a amending the Constitution to allowing citizens to vote on retaining judges is the only way to keep the court in check . . .

“How would an electorate that twice elected Barack Obama create a court that you like better?” she asked. (Read more from “Megyn Kelly Grills Ted Cruz Over Supreme Court Fix; ‘You Want to Rewrite the Constitution?'” HERE)

The Leftward Lurch of Fox News Revealed in the Promotion of Pro-Gay Kelly, Dismissal of Hannity

The truth about Sean Hannity’s loss of his nightly slot on Fox News has finally come out. From the press release:

As part of a national journalism conference on Tuesday, August 20, America’s Survival, Inc. (ASI), a public policy organization, is officially releasing a new report on radical changes at Fox News that should cause great concern to pro-family conservatives.

“Pushing Sean Hannity out of the 9:00 p.m. slot, to make way for pro-homosexual advocate Megyn Kelly, is another sign of the channel’s left-ward drift and decline,” said ASI President Cliff Kincaid, a veteran journalist and media critic.

We would have hit the delete button, but the release carried the name of Atlanta’s Phil Kent, who confirmed that the group is indeed real – and that he’ll be handling press when the study is released at a National Press Club affair in Washington.

Megyn Kelly, Greta Van Susteren Slam Erick Erickson and Lou Dobbs for their Comments About Women (+video)

[Erick Erickson and Lou Dobbs commented on] a study which showed that more women than ever were the sole or primary breadwinners in their households. They agreed that it signaled a terrible new trend for civilization itself. Erickson even brought the animal kingdom up, saying, “When you look at biology, look at the natural world, the roles of a male and a female in society, and other animals, the male typically is the dominant role.”

When critics, including Fox News’ own Greta Van Susteren, pounced, Erickson doubled down on his radio show and in a blog post on Red State.

Kelly was loaded for bear when Dobbs and Erickson joined her on her Friday show..:

Fox News Host Blasts Gosnell Attorney: “How Can You Defend Him?” (+video)

Photo Credit: YouTubeFox News host Megyn Kelly, who is pregnant, took Kermit Gosnell’s defense attorney to task Wednesday afternoon in an interview, saying the way he acted in the court room and in interviews afterwards makes it appear he thinks Gosnell is “a swell man.”

“We don’t tar the attorney with the sins of the client,” Kelly told Gosnell attorney Jack McMahon, but she scolded him for defending Gosnell after the trial, saying “he wasn’t upset when he was aborting these babies and laughing how one child, one baby was big enough to walk him to the bus stop.”
