Melania Goes Scorched Earth on White House Aide

By The Daily Caller. First lady Melania Trump’s office criticized deputy national security advisor Mira Ricardel in a rare blistering statement Tuesday afternoon.

“It is the position of the Office of the First Lady that she no longer deserves the honor of serving in this White House,” spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham said. A statement from the office of the First Lady publicly calling for the firing of a West Wing aide is highly unusual. . .

The Wall Street Journal reported Ricardel clashed with the office of the first lady over her recent trip to Africa in which she was said to be unhelpful to Melania Trump’s staff. This included rebuffed requests for reserved seats on U.S. government aircraft and a general lack of helpfulness in using national security council resources. First Lady Melania Trump Just Publicly Called for a National Security Council Official to Be Fired

By TIME. In an extraordinary move, Melania Trump is publicly calling for the dismissal of a top White House National Security Council official.

After reports circulated Tuesday that the president had decided to remove Mira Ricardel from the NSC, the first lady’s spokeswoman issued a statement saying: “It is the position of the Office of the First Lady that she no longer deserves the honor of serving in this White House.” . . .

Ricardel attended a White House ceremony Tuesday with President Donald Trump celebrating Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights. (Read more from “First Lady Melania Trump Just Publicly Called for a National Security Council Official to Be Fired” HERE)

Melania Teaches Omarosa a Little Humility for Lashing out at Her Husband

. . .Those who have previewed Manigault-Newman’s “Unhinged” have said that one of the major plot throughlines is that the former “Apprentice” contestant had a close relationship with the first lady — something that ostensibly allowed her to opine about the state of the Trump marriage.

“Whenever Donald and Melania weren’t on speaking terms — which was very often — he would call Ivana and ask for her advice,“ a passage from “Unhinged” reads, according to the Washington Examiner. “What could upset the current wife more than the husband calling up the first wife for advice?” . . .

Aside from the “self-serving pot-calling-the-kettle-black” factor here, the whole story appears unlikely — especially since Melania Trump’s communications director, Stephanie Grisham, says Melania “rarely, if ever, interacted” with Omarosa.

“It’s disappointing to (Melania) that (Manigault-Newman) is lashing out and retaliating in such a self-serving way, especially after all the opportunities given to her by the President,” Grisham told the Examiner in an email. If that kind of mother-lecturing-a-recalcitrant-13-year-old tone doesn’t bring a smile to your face, my guess is that you have a knit pink hat with cat ears somewhere in your wardrobe. . .

“In my opinion, Melania is counting every minute until he is out of office and she can divorce him,” Manigault-Newman wrote, according to the Examiner, saying that the first lady was afraid that Trump could “invalidate” her citizenship. Which, huh? Did Manigault-Newman actually read the relevant portions of immigration law before she wrote this? Did anyone on her team try to check it out? First Lady Melania Has a Defiant Response to Bizarre Report About President Trump

By The Blaze. A spokesperson for first lady Melania Trump responded with a defiant statement to a report that President Trump had acted bizarrely to seeing her television screen set to a hostile news channel. . .

According to a New York Times report, the president allegedly grew angry at seeing that the first lady’s television on Air Force One was tuned into CNN. . .

The first lady did not address the truth or falsity of the report, but a statement from her spokesperson, Stephanie Grisham, slammed reporters for focusing on such trivial issues.

“Did you know that every 15 minutes a baby is born with NAS?” Grisham said, referring to neonatal abstinence syndrome. “Maybe you’d like to talk about the 160,000 kids who skip school every day for fear of being bullied, or that 280,000 students are physically attacked in schools every month.”

“Seems kind of silly to worry about what channel she watches on TV (any channel she wants btw) or if she heard some recording on the news,” she added. (Read more from “First Lady Melania Has a Defiant Response to Bizarre Report About President Trump” HERE)

By The Independent. Melania Trump is focused on her roles as mother and first lady, a spokeswoman said after being asked about her reaction to the Cohen tape – in which Donald Trump apparently discusses making payments to a Playboy model he is alleged to have had an affair with.

Embarrassing: Clinton Turns Into Stuttering Mess When Asked About Melania Trump

By The Daily Caller. In an interview published Friday, Hillary Clinton was asked about first lady Melania Trump and what she thought of President Trump’s immigration policy.

Clinton’s bizarre, rambling response made little sense and did not convey much information.

The Guardian’s Decca Aitkenhead writes:

“I ask how [Clinton] interpreted the jacket the first lady wore to visit a child detention centre, bearing the opaque and intriguing slogan: ‘I really don’t care, do u?’ Clinton slumps back in her chair, wide eyed, arms spread, defeated by the mystery. ‘That, I have no idea. I have no idea. I can’t even … I don’t have any idea. I don’t know.’ Does she feel sorry for the first lady? ‘I don’t know. I honestly don’t know.’”

The Guardian article also includes a quote from Clinton in which she refuses to condemn many on the left becoming “uncivil.” (Read more from “Embarrassing: Clinton Turns Into Stuttering Mess When Asked About Melania Trump” HERE)

First Lady Melania Trump Visits Immigrant Children in Second Trip to Border Region

By USA Today. First lady Melania Trump made her second visit to the southern border region Thursday, aiming to display a more compassionate view toward separated immigrant families as President Donald Trump pushes ahead with his crackdown on illegal immigration.

In Tucson, Melania Trump visited a Customs and Border Patrol facility to learn firsthand how those on the front lines – Border Patrol officers, immigration agents, immigrant families, social workers and residents – deal with immigrant children.

Most of those children crossed the border by themselves, but more than 2,000 were separated from their parents under the administration’s “zero tolerance” policy for undocumented border crossers.

The first lady also stopped in Phoenix, where she met with people who worked with the Office of Refugee Resettlement and Southwest Key Programs, the nonprofit that has housed separated children.

The tour afforded Mrs. Trump a view of just how complicated the issue is: children separated from their parents sat alongside children who came across the border alone. (Read more from “First Lady Melania Trump Visits Immigrant Children in Second Trip to Border Region” HERE)

Jacketgate: Media Freaks out About What Melania Wore on Plane Ride to Visit Immigrant Children in Texas

President Trump responded to the media speculation Thursday evening with his own explanation of the First Lady’s jacket.

Many in the media freaked out Thursday over a jacket first lady Melania Trump wore when boarding the plane to visit immigrant children in a Texas detention center. The $39 Zara jacket reads “I really don’t care. do u?” on the back.

Melania Trump’s spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham said in a statement: “It’s a jacket. There was no hidden message. After today’s important visit to Texas, I hope this isn’t what the media is going to choose to focus on.”

She also mentioned the time the media attacked the First Lady for wearing heels when boarding the plane to visit Hurricane Harvey victims in Texas.

Melania Calls Secret Service After Actor Suggests Kidnapping Barron Trump

First Lady Melania Trump’s office confirmed to The Daily Caller Wednesday that they have notified the Secret Service about actor Peter Fonda’s suggestion, in a series of since-deleted vulgar tweets, that Barron Trump should be kidnapped.

“The tweet is sick and irresponsible and USSS has been notified,” spokesperson for the first lady Stephanie Grisham told The Daily Caller. . .

A rep for Fonda told Fox that the actor “wanted to make sure that Melania and Ivanka communicate with the president the dire circumstances of separating mothers and young children.”

Donald Trump Jr. tweeted his own response to Fonda’s threats against Barron and the children of ICE agents.

This Is Why First Lady Melania Isn’t Going to Singapore With President Trump

The leftist media has been engaged in conspiracy theories about First Lady Melania Trump’s whereabouts for weeks, despite knowing she underwent serious surgery in May.

The latest criticism is the First Lady’s absence from President Trump’s upcoming trips to the G7 summit in Canada and his meeting with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un in Singapore next week.

Speaking to reporters from the South Lawn of the White House before taking off for the G7 Friday morning, President Trump explained why his wife won’t be joining him.

“The First Lady is great…she wanted to go — can’t fly for one month,” he said. “The doctors say. She had a big operation. That was a, close to a four-hour operation. And she’s doing great.” . . .

Melania’s Response to Stormy Daniels’ ‘Salaciaous Gossip’ Is Every Bit as Classy as You Would Expect

By Bizpac Review. . .Melania Trump spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham responded on behalf of the First Lady to allegations that President Trump had an affair with porn star Stormy Daniels in 2006, writing that the Slovenian-born former model is “focused on being a mom,” NBC News reports.

The First Lady notably stayed out of the fray. Grisham told NBC News “She’s focused on being a mom and is quite enjoying spring break at Mar-a-Lago while working on future projects.”

In a tweet, Grisham, likely alluding to Stormy Daniels’ Sunday night interview on “60 Minutes,” reproved the mainstream media for its coverage of “salacious gossip” and asked journalists to keep the First Couple’s 12-year-old son, Barron, “out of” the news.

The White House also responded to the “60 Minutes” interview, in which the adult film star claimed she was threatened with physical harm if she went public with her story.

“With respect to that interview I will say the president strongly, clearly and has consistently denied these underlying claims and the only person who has been inconsistent is the one making the claims,” the Washington Examiner quoted deputy press secretary Raj Shah at Monday’s press briefing. Stormy Daniels to ’60 Minutes’: I Was Threatened in 2011 Over Telling My Trump Story

By NBC News. Adult film star Stormy Daniels — who has said in a lawsuit that she had an “intimate” relationship with Donald Trump a decade before he became president — said in an interview airing Sunday night that she was threatened in 2011 inside a Las Vegas parking garage with her infant daughter present and was told not to go public with her story.

In a wide-ranging interview with CBS’ “60 Minutes” — its highest-rated broadcast in 10 years, since an interview with Barack and Michelle Obama in 2008, the network said Monday — Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, said the threat came weeks after she’d agreed to tell her story to a sister publication of InTouch magazine — an interview that didn’t run at the time.

“I was in a parking lot, going to a fitness class with my infant daughter. Taking, you know, the seats facing backwards in the backseat, diaper bag, you know, getting all the stuff out. And a guy walked up on me and said to me, ‘Leave Trump alone. Forget the story,'” Daniels said, according to a transcript of the interview.

“And then he leaned around and looked at my daughter and said, ‘That’s a beautiful little girl. It’d be a shame if something happened to her mom.’ And then he was gone,” she added. (Read more from “Stormy Daniels to ’60 Minutes’: I Was Threatened in 2011 Over Telling My Trump Story” HERE)

First Lady’s Office Fires Back, Blasts Report Melania Trump Living in D.C. Hotel

First Lady Melania Trump is firing back after being dogged by rumors that she’s living separately from the president and cancelled a planned trip to Davos, Switzerland, with her husband after news broke that he’d allegedly paid adult film star Stormy Daniels to keep quiet about an affair.

Stephanie Grisham, a spokeswoman for Mrs. Trump, posted on Twitter that the First Lady is fed up with the “false” attacks.

“BREAKING,” she wrote, according to the Associated Press. “The laundry list of salacious & flat-out false reporting about Mrs. Trump by tabloid publications & TV shows has seeped into ‘main stream media’ reporting.”

The past week’s reporting has indeed been “salacious.” After the Stormy Daniels story broke earlier in January, several outlets have been cataloging the First Lady’s every move, reporting that she’d moved out of the White House and into a “posh D.C. hotel,” that she had dropped off the president’s schedule, and then that she’d avoided the trip to Davos to take a private holiday in Mar-a-Lago. Image Consultant Says What Melania Won’t, Reveals a Message First Lady Is Sending with Wardrobe

First lady Melania Trump is carrying her fashion industry background into the White House.

“Melania Trump portrays this image of a calm, cool and collected woman,” said personal stylist Corey Roche, during a statement to the The New York Post.

“And she does that through her wardrobe.”

Roche, whose clientele reportedly includes celebrities and D.C. politicians, explained that Melania is intentional in how she presents herself to the public, making a point to always appear not only put together, but calm and collected as well. Balancing her husband’s often aggressive portrayal in the media.

Her feminine appearance, often choosing bold pinks or muted white and cream ensembles are a stark contrast to the business wear often sported by other first ladies in recent years.

Roche compared Trump’s style to that of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, whose style remains legendary several decades after her time as the first lady.

“I think she went back in time and pulled out some pieces from the Jackie O style of dressing,” Roche told The Post.

“Her style is pretty and muted, but doesn’t go unnoticed.”

Fashion experts agree that first ladies use their wardrobe to promote themselves in different ways, often using clothing as a way to communicate the role they wish to play in the White House.

Former first lady Michelle Obama was often photographed wearing modern business attire, which made sense for the lawyer. Obama took a notable role as not only the wife of the president but someone who promoted causes of interest to her — notably healthy eating and exercise for children.

Likewise, Hillary Clinton, infamous for her brightly colored pantsuits, would go on to launch a political career of her own.

Nancy Reagan, a former actress, was also noted for her fashion choices during her time as the first lady. The assertive wife of former President Ronald Reagan was known for wearing red.

Other stylists assert that Trump’s fashion choices indicate that the First Lady wishes to remain in a more traditional role within the White House.

The former model is said to use traditional and feminine style to show that she desires to remain the supportive wife of the president, and is less interested in catapulting herself into the political arena.

“It’s very feminine, but the clothes are not the clothes of working women,” said Christina Logothetis, a Washington D.C.-based image consultant. “Part of what she’s conveying is that she’s not in office, she is the wife and very specifically playing that role and only that role. And that is definitely in contrast to her immediate predecessors.”

Fascination with the first lady is nothing new for the American public.

According to the Post, the interest in first lady fashion goes as far back as Dolly Madison, who wore a feathered turban to the inauguration in 1809. Mary Todd Lincoln’s fashion choices and spending are also said to have caused a “crisis” during the Civil War.
