9-Year-Old Boy Born With 2 Percent of His Brain Undergoes Surgery to Help Him Walk

A 9-year-old boy born with just 2 percent of his brain hopes to learn how to walk after undergoing a five-hour operation to straighten his legs.

Noah Wall from Carlisle in Cumbria, England, developed a rare brain condition in the womb, and his parents Michelle, 49, and Rob, 55, were told by doctors he would likely never talk, walk, or eat on his own. . .

Tragically, a “do not resuscitate order” was placed on Noah and his parents were asked five times if they wanted to terminate the pregnancy. . .

The 9-year-old, who recently celebrated his birthday, has seen his brain grow to 80 percent, and his proud mom said she was astonished by how smart he was.

On May 19, Noah underwent a five-hour surgery at Royal Victoria Infirmary in England to straighten his legs and insert two plates into either foot. (Read more from “9-Year-Old Boy Born With 2 Percent of His Brain Undergoes Surgery to Help Him Walk” HERE)

Miracle: Baby Boy Comes ‘Back to Life’ After Being Pronounced Dead

. . .Kingston [Lane] was born in April 2020 at only 24 weeks and weighed one pound, seven ounces. He spent the first seven months of his life in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) at a hospital in Louisville. . .

On Saturday, [mother] Brittany [Lane] noticed Kingston was sick and thought it may be stomach irritation. However, on Sunday, she says he looked lifeless and was taken to the emergency room at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital.

Brittany says his heart was also giving out. Medical teams did ten rounds of chest compressions.

“They were on the ninth one, and they were like, ‘Mrs. Lane, one more time and that’s all we can do for him,’” Lane recalled. “He was completely blue, no pulse, no heartbeat and cold. Super cold.” . . .

In disbelief as medical teams were walking away, Brittany says a nurse pointed out that his pulse returned. (Read more from “Miracle: Baby Boy Comes ‘Back to Life’ After Being Pronounced Dead” HERE)

Twins Born at 23 Weeks Were Given Just 1 Percent Chance to Survive, but They Defied the Odds

Twins Joe and Ashley Keates entered the world on April 16 weighing less than 1 pound each and fitting in their mother’s hand.

Doctors gave them just a 1 percent chance of survival, but today they are thriving at home with their family, the Daily Mail reports. . .

The baby boys are believed to be the smallest premature twins ever to survive in England after they were born at just 23 weeks of pregnancy, according to the reports.

Earlier this year, their mother said Joe’s amniotic sac burst, prompting the twins’ early delivery. Joe weighed 15.1 ounces (0.95 pounds), and Ashley weighed 14.2 ounces (0.9 pounds), according to the report. . .

The boys surprised everyone with their fighting spirit, and, after 129 days in intensive care, they grew well enough to go home with their parents and older siblings, the report states. Ashley now can wear newborn clothes and his brother is wearing clothes for 0-3-month-old babies, their mother said. ‘Fighting Miracle’: Premature NCIU Baby Who Died Twice in Operating Room Goes Home

A baby boy who spent the first 151 days of his life outside the womb in the hospital and has been called a “little warrior” and a “fighting miracle” finally went home Thursday.

Aureilo Resendiz was just 2 pounds, 1 ounce when he was born prematurely at the 28th week of gestation. He was doing well in the neonatal intensive care unit at New Hanover Regional Medical Center in North Carolina until on Mother’s Day this year doctors told his mother, Tabatha Resendiz, he needed emergency surgery.

“I delivered at 28 weeks. He was 2 pounds, 1 ounce, doing great,” Tabatha told WECT. “Come March we were supposed to go home and we get a call on Mother’s Day. He was going to surgery after that.”

“He was two days from going home and his intestines had twisted and they had to do emergency surgery,” NCIU nurse Monica Hyatt explained.

The little baby Aureilo fought hard for his life, requiring six surgeries before he began to recover.

“He died twice on the operating table and doctors brought him back to life. He is such a fighter,” Hyatt said. While caring for Aureilo, nurse Hyatt developed a special relationship with him.

“He’s such a cuddle bug. He just captured my heart,” she said. Nurse Hyatt grew so close to the baby that his mother decided she ought to be a part of the family forever.

“It was heavy on my heart, so one day I approached her, and I said, ‘Miss Monica, I don’t know how to ask you, but I would like for you to be Aurelio’s godmother,’ and she said, ‘Are you serious?’ and she accepted,” Tabatha said.

“I have a godchild for life,” Hyatt said. “I get to be a part of his life forever. There is nothing better.”

Now, Aureilo is 10 pounds, 8 ounces and his stay at the hospital is over. According to WECT, he is being bottle-fed but still needs to have a colostomy bag and may need it for a while.

“It will hit me tomorrow when he is not here, but that’s our goal,” Hyatt said. “It’s our goal to get them home, get them with family and get him well and he has done it.” (For more from the author of “‘Fighting Miracle’: Premature NCIU Baby Who Died Twice in Operating Room Goes Home” please click HERE)

Man’s Accident Should Have Left Him Dead, but He Began Praying — What Happened Next Was Miraculous

By The Blaze. In February, [Eldon] Cooper, a Clarkridge, Arkansas, resident and 19-year military veteran, left his home one evening on his John Deere tractor to see if the dam on his pond was holding from the recent rain on his 25-acre property. . .

“I didn’t want to damage the tractor, so I started backing up to head home, something I have done 150 times, probably,” Cooper said. “Well, for some reason my rear tire got too close to the edge, and the edge on the pond side gave way, dropping the rear of the tractor about 18 inches or so towards the pond. It stopped before going over the edge, as I dropped the bucket to the ground.” . . .

“I needed that peace that passes all understanding, so I asked for it,” Cooper said. “You know what; that peace came over me almost immediately. I stopped panicking, and I stopped trying to breathe so hard because I couldn’t get a full breath. But I stopped panicking, and my mind cleared and I could think.” . . .

Throughout his praying, an odd thing happened: the tractor’s flashers turned on of their own accord. Cooper said that he hadn’t bumped the flashers on, because they worked on a rotary switch. . .

When [his wife came] home around 7:15 p.m., she found a flashlight and first aid kit and immediately went to the pond. Despite the darkness of the February night, the tractor’s flashing lights led her to the scene of her husband’s accident, from where she called 911 — but in her panic, gave first responders the wrong address. Another Perspective on the Miracle – From Cooper’s Own Words

By Josh Dooley. Just before [Eldon Cooper left with his tractor], he called his new wife Debra and asked her to meet him at their church for the 6 p.m. service. . .

As Cooper began backing the tractor up on the road atop the dam, he got a little too close to the edge and felt the muddy earth start to give way and the tractor started sliding toward the water, then stopped.

“It was sitting there teetering. I put the bucket down because a lot of times that will stop it,” Cooper said. “I thought about my options. I could jump out and try to swim out of the way or I could yell out for help. But, as I thought about the options, it slipped down the hill and rolled over as it entered the water.”

Unfortunately for Cooper, the tractor ended up with the door to the cab pinned to the bottom of the pond, leaving him no escape.

As Cooper hung upside down belted into his seat, the tractor quickly filled with frigid pond water. He released the seatbelt but was wedged into place due to the various control sticks in the cab. The water continued to rise. “I thought I was going to drown,” Cooper said of what he was thinking as the water was rising. . . Miracle: Boy Regains Consciousness After Parents Sign Papers to Donate His Organs

By Fox News. A 13-year-old boy who was said to be suffering severe brain injury defied odds when he regained consciousness after his parents had signed papers to donate his organs.

Trenton McKinley, of Mobile, Ala., was hospitalized two months ago after a small utility trailer he was in flipped over . . .

Trenton suffered seven skull fractures from the accident. His parents recalled doctors saying their son “would never be normal again.” . . .

Trenton was barely breathing in the days following the crash, Fox 10 reported. His mother ultimately decided to sign papers to donate Trenton’s organs that would benefit five children who needed transplants . . .

A day before doctors were going to take Trenton off of life support, the 13-year-old began showing signs of brain activity and movement. Trenton began breathing on his own and woke up speaking full sentences in late March, his mother wrote on a Facebook fundraising page. Miracle in Mobile: Boy Comes Back to Life After Parents Sign Papers to Donate His Organs

By Fox 13. . .A local boy is being called a miracle after suffering severe brain trauma from a dune buggy accident. He came back to life after his parents signed the paperwork to donate his organs. . .

Slowly but surely, Trenton is making strides beyond what anyone expected, but it’s not without a struggle. He’s lost 50 pounds, and deals with nerve pain and seizures daily. Despite all that, this kid’s still got a great sense of humor.

“I said I could turn sideways and put salsa in there and eat chips and dip out of my head. No more washing dishes for me!” laughed Trenton as he referred to the dent in his head. “She wouldn’t let me put nothing in it though. I really wanted to see if I could.”

Just talking to the young boy, you would never believe he has already been through three brain surgeries. He’s still got a long road ahead with a lot of medical expenses. Trenton currently only has half of his skull. The missing piece is frozen at the hospital. He will have surgery soon to reconnect it. Miracle Baby Comes Back from the Dead 30 Minutes After Life Support Is Switched Off

Eighteen-month-old Bella Moore-Williams’ parents could only watch helplessly as their sedated daughter took what they thought was her last breath.

Mother Francesca, 41, and father Lee, 44, wept and took one last photograph with her brother Bobby, five, before her ventilator was switched off.

They had also made prints of her hands and feet as a memento and invited family members to the hospital to say farewell.

Doctors had told them three times that it was unlikely she would survive after they diagnosed a genetic disease.

But 30 minutes later, she began kicking and screaming. (Read more from “Miracle Baby Comes Back from the Dead 30 Minutes After Life Support Is Switched Off” HERE)

After Doctors Advised Mom to Remove ‘Dead’ Unborn Child, Something Incredible Happened

Photo Credit: Life News Understandably, medical professionals don’t like it when they are wrong about a diagnosis, especially when it relates to a woman’s pregnancy. This is because in the past doctors and hospitals have been sued for giving incorrect information to women about their unborn babies.

For example, in 2013, a mother in England filed suit against a hospital where doctors told her she should have an abortion of her supposedly “brain dead” unborn baby. She followed their advice and took an abortion drug but her baby was still born perfectly healthy without any brain damage.

In a story published on a her website, a Jewish woman named Hadassah Sabo Milner explains how she almost lost her baby after doctors told her that her child was no longer viable. When Milner first discovered that she was pregnant, she was cautiously excited because she had already suffered two miscarriages . . .

Immediately, the Ob-Gyn wanted to perform a D&C because she believed the baby was gone and that Milner’s health could be in jeopardy. Thankfully, Milner refused because she wanted to give it more time and speak with her Rabbi about the situation. Her doctor was very reluctant to wait but granted her request and performed another ultrasound the next day . . .

Although the remainder of Milner’s pregnancy was very difficult, she delivered a healthy baby boy at 37-weeks who weighed 5lbs 12ozs. After her son was born, her doctor told her that from now on she would listen to women when they want to wait a few days before having a D&C. Miracle: Woman Wakes up Just Hours Before Family Was to End Life Support

download (6)Kent had lost hope that his wife would survive after he found her sick on the bathroom floor and doctors said the medication she needed to keep her organs functioning would likely result in her sacrificing her arms and legs.

Kent and his son, Ryan, watched helplessly for weeks as Teri’s tongue swelled and the tip of her nose, hands and feet turned black . . .

“We came to the conclusion as a family that the next day we were going to remove her from life support,” Ryan says . . .

That’s when she opened her eyes . . .

OB-GYN Dr. Jennifer Ashton explains that Teri had group A strep, which led to sepsis, which is caused when bacteria gets into the bloodstream and spreads throughout the body. Medication can lower the blood pressure to help prevent the infection from reaching and shutting down the vital organs, but if the arms and legs don’t receive enough blood, the tissue can die and the limbs have to be amputated.
