Pelosi and Greene Retirements Thrust $38M-a-Year Pension Perk for Congress Into Spotlight

The vast majority of the record number of congressional lawmakers not seeking re-election next year, including Reps. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) and Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), will collect annual pension benefits that cost taxpayers some $38 million per year to payout.

The timing of Greene’s abrupt retirement, as well of the six-figure sum Pelosi will receive after serving nearly 40 years in Congress, have brought attention to the little-known perk for ex-pols and renewed calls to end the program.

“I can’t read her mind, but it certainly seems as if it was timed to make sure she got vested,” Demian Brady, the vice president of research for the National Taxpayer Union Foundation, said of the Georgia Republican’s last day in the House.

Under federal law, members of Congress qualify for annual pension benefits only after completing five full years of service.

Brady was one of the first to point out that Greene, who began serving on Jan. 3, 2021, and will leave office on Jan. 5, 2026, picked a departure date that gives her just enough time to meet the eligibility threshold. Report: Nancy Pelosi’s Possible Retirement Causes Stir Among Democrats — ‘I Think She’s Out’

Some Democrats are speculating that 85-year-old former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) may soon step into retirement.

NBC News reported Monday that her fellow Democrats are “bracing” for her retirement.

“She is expected to make an announcement about her future after Tuesday’s elections, when voters will consider a ballot measure, known as ‘Proposition 50,’ that would redraw the state’s congressional lines. Pelosi is a prominent proponent of the plan, which Democrats hope would net them several seats in next year’s midterm elections,” the outlet said.

It cited several Democrat sources who reportedly believe she will not seek reelection in 2026.

One House Democrat from California said they wish she would stay for another decade, but “I think she’s out. She’s going to go out with Prop 50 overwhelmingly passing, and what a crowning achievement for her to do that.”

A House Democrat leadership aide said, “I think she’s preparing to exit the stage.” (Read more from “Report: Nancy Pelosi’s Possible Retirement Causes Stir Among Democrats — ‘I Think She’s Out’” HERE)

Nancy Pelosi’s Daughter Invokes CNN Reporter’s Dead Child To Defend Democratic Gerontocracy

Nancy Pelosi’s daughter invoked CNN reporter Andrew Kaczynski’s dead daughter after he called out Democrats for putting senior citizens and people with serious illnesses in positions of power.

Kaczynski, who goes by the Twitter handle “KFILE,” noted 47-year-old Democratic California Rep. Robert Garcia winning his party’s top spot on the House Oversight Committee on Tuesday

“A top committee spot is going to a Democrat that is under the age of 75 or doesn’t have cancer,” KFILE tweeted.

Garcia, who defeated Massachusetts Rep. Stephen Lynch, takes over the Ranking Member spot from former Democratic Virginia Rep. Gerry Connolly, who died from cancer in May at the age of 75.

Before Connolly, the Democrats’ ranking member was Maryland Rep. Jamie Raskin, who was also diagnosed with cancer while serving in the role. He is now the Ranking Member on the House Judiciary Committee.

Pelosi’s Daughter Rips ‘Lady McBiden,’ Tells Jill Biden to Put On ‘Big Girl Pants’ With Joe

A daughter of ex-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi ripped into outgoing first lady Jill Biden over the weekend — seemingly comparing her to Shakespeare’s power-hungry, ruthless Lady MacBeth.

The Dem first lady recently took a swipe at Pelosi over the Democratic mutiny against President Biden last summer, and Alexandra Pelosi, the lefty California congresswoman’s daughter, responded by saying her mom is actually one of the few friends Joe Biden has left.

“If I was Lady McBiden, I’d put on my big girl pants, play the long game and think about my husband’s legacy,” Alexandra snipped to Politico on Saturday.

“There aren’t that many people left in America who have something nice to say about Joe Biden, and Nancy Pelosi is one of them,” the younger Pelosi said.

In an interview published last week, Jill, 73, openly questioned her decadeslong friendship with Nancy Pelosi, 84, in light of the Dem revolt against her husband, which the former speaker had her fingerprints all over. Reports: Pelosi’s Injuries in Luxembourg Are Quite Serious

Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is recovering at a hospital in Luxembourg. When it was first reported, the California liberal was reported to have suffered an undisclosed injury while on a congressional delegation. Katie wrote about the incident, adding that the injuries were severe enough that Pelosi would miss the rest of the trip’s events:

“While traveling with a bipartisan Congressional delegation in Luxembourg to mark the 80th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge, Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi sustained an injury during an official engagement and was admitted to the hospital for evaluation,” a spokesperson for Pelosi released in a statement about her condition.

“Speaker Emerita Pelosi is currently receiving excellent treatment from doctors and medical professionals. She continues to work and regrets that she is unable to attend the remainder of the CODEL engagements to honor the courage of our servicemembers during one of the greatest acts of American heroism in our nation’s history. Speaker Emerita Pelosi conveys her thanks and praise to our veterans and gratitude to people of Luxembourg and Bastogne for their service in World War II and their role in bringing peace to Europe,” the statement continues.

Nancy Pelosi Seeks to Stage Another Coup In the Democratic Party

After playing a significant role in the coup against outgoing President Joe Biden, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) is back doing what she knows best: plotting another ouster within the Democratic Party.

According to a New York Times report, Pelosi seeks to shake up a critical House Committee. She is leading an effort to replace longtime Democrat Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) as a ranking member of the House Judiciary Committee. She is quietly urging Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-CA) to challenge Nadler, and according to reports, he is strongly considering it.

However, the NYT pointed out that Nadler and Raskin’s close friendship stands in the way.

Raskin is a loyalist in Democrat’s eyes. He played a leading role in pushing several hoaxes, including the bogus Russian disinformation claims involving President-elect Donald Trump. He also suggested he would refuse to certify Trump’s 2024 win. . .

Although Raskin has not publicly announced his candidacy, Nadler has already hit the ground running, eager to hold on to his position. Nadler proudly said he led the Judiciary Committee’s efforts of two impeachments against Trump. The NYT also highlighted an additional advantage Raskin brings: his skill in engaging in impromptu debates. The report noted that House Democrat leaders are staying neutral for now. Dem Donor: Oh, I Know Obama and Pelosi Didn’t Want Kamala

Democratic strategist Lindy Li doesn’t care if she never works in politics again. The operative has gone on a media tour, where she has excoriated her colleagues over the failed 2024 Kamala Harris campaign. She risks never working in Democratic politics again, but she likely couldn’t care less. She cannot keep her mouth shut regarding the unmitigated disaster this year and told NewsNation’s Natasha Zouves what we had an inkling of post-Joe Biden’s 2024 ouster: The party brain trust didn’t want Kamala Harris. Specifically, Barack Obama and Nancy Pelosi didn’t want her.

Ms. Li went into depth regarding these interactions, reportedly having deep ties to the Obama world and being friends with Ms. Pelosi.

“I know they didn’t,” she said. “It’s not a matter conjecture for me. I know they didn’t.”

Regarding her discussion with Pelosi’s camp, the former House speaker told Li to give Biden the code red, so to speak, granting her permission to venture onto Fox News Sunday, the day Biden got the boot, to sell the “step down and pass the mantle to the next generation” line.

“Obama and Pelosi were both hoping for a primary instead of a coronation, so to speak, “she added. “The chieftains of the party were hoping for a lightning round, a lightning primary. And President Biden essentially preempted that by issuing his endorsement 30 minutes after he dropped out.” (Read more from “Dem Donor: Oh, I Know Obama and Pelosi Didn’t Want Kamala” HERE)

Dems Still in Disarray: Fetterman Tells His Fellow Democrats to Calm Down

Last week, in an interview with POLITICO, Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) spoke out against Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) blaming President Joe Biden for Democrats’ election losses earlier this month. He’s also weighed in on President-elect Donald Trump’s Cabinet picks, referring to the selection of former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) as “God-tiered kind of trolling,” though he does support Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) for Secretary of State and Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) as ambassador to the United Nations.

On Sunday, Fetterman also spoke about his party’s reaction to Trump’s win–something he had been warning about for weeks–during his appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

In response to host Jake Tapper reminding Fetterman that he’s said Democrats “shouldn’t be ‘freaking out’ over every single thing that Trump does,” the senator doubled down on how he is “absolutely excited” about Rubio and Stefanik, though he considers picks like Gaetz to be “just absolute trolls.”

“And that’s why Democrats–like, Trump gets the kind of thing–mean, he gets the kind of thing that he wanted, like the freak-out and all of those things. And he hasn’t even been–it’s still not even not even Thanksgiving yet,” Fetterman reminded. “And if we’re having meltdowns every tweet or every appointment or all those things, I mean, it’s going to be four years,” he continued, about four years that hasn’t even begun yet.

Fetterman himself also pointed out that he had been warning not just about a Trump win, but that he had been “warning about the jackpot,” with Republicans also gaining control of the Senate, keeping control of the House, and conservative judges being a majority on the U.S. Supreme Court, something Fetterman called “the real jackpot.”

What Fell Off Pelosi’s Pant Leg on the DNC Stage Last Night? (VIDEO)

A square white object appeared to fall off House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s pant leg as she walked onto the stage at the Democratic National Convention (DNC) Wednesday night.

Pelosi waved to the crowd as she took the DNC stage and prepared to deliver her speech endorsing Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris. During the entrance, an unknown white object resembling toilet paper slid off her pant leg, with Pelosi pausing to glance at it.

“Wow, embarrassing and yet completely in context with the BS she was about to unleash,” Bill Mitchell, Host of YourVoice America, told his more than 400,000 followers in an X post regarding the incident.

Except for ABC News, legacy media networks cut out the potentially embarrassing moment, news site Not the Bee reported. (Read more from “What Fell Off Pelosi’s Pant Leg on the DNC Stage Last Night? (VIDEO)” HERE)

Pelosi Questions Whether Biden Wrote Letter Saying He’d Stay in 2024 Race: ‘It Didn’t Sound Like Joe’

Ex-House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has openly doubted whether President Biden wrote the letter he sent to Democrats last month insisting he was “firmly committed” to staying in the race.

Biden, 81, sent the missive to congressional Dems to try to put to rest any notion that he’d exit the race over widespread concerns about his mental acuity after his June 27 debate performance against GOP foe Donald Trump. Two weeks later, Biden dropped out.

“I didn’t accept the letter as anything but a letter,” Pelosi told New York Times‘ columnist Ezra Klein in an interview last week. “I mean, there are some people who are unhappy with the letter.

“Let me say it differently. Some said that some people were unhappy with the letter. I’ll put it in somebody else’s mouth. It didn’t sound like Joe Biden to me. It really didn’t,” she said.

Two days after Biden sent the letter, Pelosi (D-Calif.), 84, turned heads with an appearance on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” rumored to be one of the president’s favorite political programs.
