News Anchor Admits He Could Not Find a Single Person Outside of New Hampshire Grocery Store Who Feels ‘Good About the Economy’

“CBS Mornings” co-host Tony Dokoupil reported how he and his team couldn’t find anybody outside a New Hampshire grocery that was “feeling good about the economy.”

While previewing an upcoming CBS News segment set to air on Sunday, Dokoupil mentioned how people complained about higher food prices, despite macro signs that the economy is improving.

The co-host made the claim while President Biden continues to try and sell his economic achievements — aka “Bidenomics” — ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

While speaking to local New Hampshire CBS anchors, Dokoupil reported, “People are really bummed out about the economy here in New Hampshire. Even if the overall big picture numbers are going in the right direction, and even if people’s own personal experiences in general are going okay, there’s a lot of gloom.”

Noting why, he said, “Food prices, for example, are generally going up. And we talked to a bunch of people outside of a grocery store in Derry, New Hampshire — we couldn’t find anybody feeling good about the economy.” (Read more from “News Anchor Admits He Could Not Find a Single Person Outside of New Hampshire Grocery Store Who Feels ‘Good About the Economy'” HERE)

‘Insults Are So Phony’: DeSantis Blasts Trump’s ‘Conduct,’ Record to New Hampshire Voters

Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis expressed exasperation at former President Donald Trump’s insults during a Friday town hall in New Hampshire.

The moderator asked DeSantis how he would respond if Trump began to attack and demean him during a debate. DeSantis argued that he believes name-calling is beneath the dignity of the Oval Office. (RELATED: Joe Rogan Says Ron DeSantis Is ‘F*cking’ Up His Florida Record, ‘Can’t Beat’ Trump)

“So here’s the thing. These insults are so phony. These insults are juvenile. That is not the way a great nation should be conducting itself. That is not the way the president of the United States should be conducting himself.”

He argued that he would rather spend time debating “the issues” than be derailed into a series of personal attacks. (Read more from “‘Insults Are So Phony’: DeSantis Blasts Trump’s ‘Conduct,’ Record to New Hampshire Voters” HERE)

Daughter of Hall of Fame Pitcher Accused of Giving Birth in the Woods on Christmas and Then Abandoning Her Baby in the Freezing Cold

Alexandra Eckersley, the 26-year-old adopted daughter of MLB Hall of Fame pitcher Dennis Eckersley, has been accused of giving birth in a wooded area of New Hampshire and then abandoning her newborn baby in freezing cold temperatures.

Just after midnight on December 26, police in Manchester, New Hampshire, received a call from a woman later identified as Eckersley. Initially, Eckersley told officers that she had given birth on an area soccer field, a police report states. As temperatures had already dipped below 20 degrees Fahrenheit, Manchester police, fire, and American medical response quickly sprang into action to find Eckersley’s baby boy.

However, after searching unsuccessfully for more than an hour, police said that Eckersley eventually changed her story and redirected rescue teams to the child’s correct location: a squalid, makeshift tent in the woods behind the West Side Ice Arena. When they found the boy, they claimed he was “moving, not crying, and exposed.” Some reports indicate that the boy was found naked in a bloody area of the tent and that the lone propane heater inside the tent had been turned off.

The baby — who, at the time of his rescue, reportedly weighed about 4 lbs — was treated by EMTs at the scene then taken to Catholic Medical Center in Manchester before he was airlifted to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, approximately 75 miles north. Reports indicate that the baby was intubated, though, thankfully, his condition also appears to be improving. New Hampshire Man Arrested After Allegedly Assaulting Pro-Trump Teen at Polling Site

A New Hampshire man was arrested Thursday afternoon after allegedly assaulting a 15-year-old Trump supporter and two adults at a polling site during the state’s first-in-the-nation primary earlier this week. . .

The Windham Police Department said Patrick Bradley, 34, of Windham, was charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct.

Fox News has learned that the suspect got in the face of the teenage boy who was wearing a red “Make America Great Again” hat and volunteering at the Trump tent at Windham High School, a polling location for the New Hampshire primary.

Police said the incident happened Tuesday as Bradley exited the voting location inside the high school and was walking by a Trump campaign tent occupied by several supporters. As he passed by the tent, police said, Bradley slapped a 15-year old juvenile across the face and then assaulted two other adults who attempted to intercede. . .

Bradley is also accused of throwing Trump campaign signs and attempting to knock over the campaign tent, police said. (Read more from “New Hampshire Man Arrested After Allegedly Assaulting Pro-Trump Teen at Polling Site” HERE)

Five Candidates Could Win Delegates in New Hampshire for First Time

Five Democratic candidates will likely earn delegates in Tuesday’s primary in New Hampshire for the first time, Karl Rove noted on Fox News Sunday.

That reflects a close race among several frontrunners, each of whom will win something in the proportional vote — and each of whom hopes the Granite State will fuel their campaign for the weeks ahead.

Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is the favorite to win, as he did in 2016. He has the advantage of being a familiar face from next-door Vermont. He also has devoted followers, who have been packing town hall meetings in the state for months. . .

Former South Bend, Indiana, Mayor Pete Buttigieg has not been a factor until the last few months, but he surged in November and briefly held a lead in New Hampshire in December, according to the RealClearPolitics poll averages. He has a large campaign war chest and an army of volunteers. A second-place finish would help him stay among the leaders; a win could transform the race.

Former Vice President Joe Biden is struggling, and telegraphed in Friday’s debate that he does not expect to win in the state, even though he was the early frontrunner. If he finishes in the top three, he will still be competitive in the crucial Nevada caucuses (Feb. 22) and the South Carolina primary (Feb. 29), where he has a “firewall” of African-American support. But if Biden finishes fourth or worse in New Hampshire, that firewall might not last. (Read more from “Five Candidates Could Win Delegates in New Hampshire for First Time” HERE)

Judge Blocks Law Requiring Voters to Show Proof of Residency

A New Hampshire judge has blocked a state law that would require voters to show proof of residency when registering to vote, the New Hampshire Union Leader reported.

Hillsborough County Superior Court Judge Kenneth Brown issued a temporary injunction Monday to suspend Senate Bill 3 pending further legal action. . .

SB 3 put in place new procedures requiring would-be voters to provide documents showing proof of residency when registering to vote within 30 days of an election or on election day. . .

“As with voter fraud, improving confidence in New Hampshire’s election system is not a significant state interest that justifies placing increased burdens on voters,” Brown wrote. “Moreover, there is no evidence that SB 3 even accomplishes its stated goal in this regard. The state presented no evidence that the new domicile affidavit has had any impact on the public’s perception of the election process.” . . .

Gov. Chris Sununu (R), who signed the bill into law last year, said he’s confident that the law will ultimately be upheld. (Read more from “Judge Blocks Law Requiring Voters to Show Proof of Residency” HERE)
