REPORT: Serial Killer’s Therapist Allegedly Practiced For Years Without A License, Faces Felony Charges

A serial killer’s therapist reportedly practiced clinical social work in New York for years without a license and faces felony charges, prosecutors said.

Alison Winter, serial killer Rex Heuermann’s therapist, received $60,000 in reimbursement payments for insurance claims from 2018 to 2024 without having a clinical social work license, Newsday reported, citing prosecutors. Over $50,000 was allegedly billed via Cigna. The insurance company reportedly requires masters-level clinicians who work independently to have a state license in order to be part of their network. Winter also obtained reimbursement payments via UnitedHealthcare and Medicare, according to court documents.

Winter obtained a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Adelphi University in 1999, the school told Newsday. However, a verification search of the New York State Education Department’s Office of the Professions does not generate a license for Winter under the Master Social Worker category.

Prosecutors charged Winter with grand larceny in the second degree, grand larceny in the third degree, scheme to defraud, and 14 counts of unauthorized practice of a profession, a Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office (SCDAO) spokeswoman told the Daily Caller. She was already facing the felony charges when she heard Heuermann’s confession in which he allegedly admitted to killing eight women, Newsday reported. Grandma Likely Poisoned and Stabbed Grandkids, Daughter in Horrific Upstate NY Murder-Suicide: Cops

The grandma found dead alongside her daughter and four grandchildren in her upstate New York home appears to have poisoned them all, police said in a shocking update Thursday — as the slain kids’ father spoke of his heartbreak at never seeing them again.

A handwritten note found at Amy Steadman’s home “strongly suggests” that she was “involved” in the deaths of her daughter, Sarah Myers, 44, and Myers’ four children: Harper Harmon, 13, Hudson Harmon, 11, and 10-year-old twins Gavin and Gracelynn, Mechanicville Chief of Police Bill Rabbitt told a press conference.

One of the children was stabbed, while the rest appear to have been poisoned — possibly in a rage over their dad recently getting custody, sources told Channel 13.

“There is recovered evidence from inside the apartment indicating intentional poisoning – to include numerous prescriptions and over-the-counter medications,” Rabbit told reporters, noting no evidence of anyone else being involved.

“Evidence recovered during the investigation, including a handwritten note, and other circumstantial evidence, strongly suggests that Amy Steadman was involved in the deaths,” he said, stressing that the investigation is ongoing.

Sources told Channel 13 that the children were injected with drugs, with syringes found inside their grandma’s home. (Read more from “Grandma Likely Poisoned and Stabbed Grandkids, Daughter in Horrific Upstate NY Murder-Suicide: Cops” HERE)

Report: Two New York Democrat Candidates Want Federal Funds for Childrens’ ‘Drag Story Hour’ Program

Two New York Democrats running against each other in a congressional primary reportedly want to subsidize the program known as “Drag Story Hour” for school children, the news coming as the program has already been a drain on taxpayer money.

Incumbent Rep. Dan Goldman and former city Comptroller Brad Lander have reportedly expressed support for throwing federal funds at the program, the New York Post reported Tuesday:

“Unfortunately, the Majority does not allow funding from Members of Congress to support LGBTQIA+ programming,” Goldman wrote on a questionnaire from the Jim Owles LGBT Liberal Democratic Club in response to a question about whether he had “hosted, funded, or otherwise supported” a Drag Story Hour.

“However, once we take back the House, I certainly cannot wait to fund programs like Drag Story Hours and other programs,” added Goldman, who is seeking a third term.

In addition, a Lander spokesman told the outlet that if the Democrat won election he was looking forward to “funding affordable housing, health care, child care, USAID, libraries, and lots of arts and culture programs, most certainly including Drag Story Hour.” (Read more from “Report: Two New York Democrat Candidates Want Federal Funds for Childrens’ ‘Drag Story Hour’ Program” HERE)

Long-Lost Remains of 44 Revolutionary War Soldiers will Finally get Proper Burial in NY Town

. . .The long-lost remains of what’s likely more than 40 Revolutionary War soldiers will be returned to an upstate town for a proper burial in a military graveyard Friday, officials said.

The fallen Army officers — whose bones were unearthed by chance during a construction project seven years ago — will be laid to rest in caskets at Lake George’s Battlefield Park as part of a sprawling 700,000 memorial project.

Construction crews stumbled on an 18th-century cemetery below Courtland Street in Lake George in 2019, and archaeologists later recovered what’s believed to be the remains of 44 soldiers.

The bones were later transported to the New York State Museum in Albany, where researchers painstakingly reconstructed the stories of the dead from thousands of recovered fragments.

Julie Weatherwax, a New York State Museum bioarcheology technician, said she spent months examining teeth to determine how many people they’d likely dug up.

“I spent the better part of a year putting together over 800 loose teeth and just trying to recreate the dental arcades for people,” Weatherwax told cbs6albany.com. “And that’s how we actually got the minimum number of 44 individuals was from the dental arcades I was able to put back together.” (Read more from “Long-Lost Remains of 44 Revolutionary War Soldiers will Finally get Proper Burial in NY Town” HERE)

New York Legalizes Doctors Prescribing Death

New York Gov. Kathy Hochul announced in an op-ed last week that she will sign a bill legalizing medical assisted suicide for adults with a terminal illness.

Hochul says she is passing the Medical Aid in Dying Act due to the “genuine and deeply held belief that government must respect the rights and will of the people it serves.” To qualify, an adult must be “mentally competent” and have a “prognosis of six months or less to live,” the bill states.

The bill also makes it clear that anyone who makes the request for medical assisted suicide must not be considered “suicidal” and taking medication to intentionally end one’s life should not be considered a “suicide.”

This move lets New York join the club of 12 states and the District of Columbia that preach suicide as a form of “medical aid in dying.”

Although the act will allow “individual doctors and religiously affiliated health facilities” to decline offering suicide as a form of treatment to those who are suicidal, doctors must “promptly” transfer requesting clients to a health care provider who is “willing to permit the prescribing, dispensing, ordering or self-administering” of suicide medication. Senior citizen who saved himself from would-be mugger heading to prison because of NYC’s ‘draconian’ laws

A Queens senior citizen who shot dead a man who tried to rob him will spend four years in prison after admitting to toting an unlicensed revolver — as his lawyer ripped the city’s “draconian” gun laws.

Charles Foehner, 67, pleaded guilty to one count of criminal weapons possession Thursday in a deal to end his case more than two years after he fatally shot would-be thief Cody Gonzalez, who charged at him near his Kew Gardens home.

The Queens District Attorney’s Office chose not to prosecute Foehner, a retired doorman, for Gonzalez’s killing after he told cops that he’d defended himself from a mugger who lunged at him late at night holding what looked like a knife — but which turned out to be a pen.

But prosecutors slapped Foehner with a slew of weapons raps for the unlicensed handgun and for an arsenal of illicit handguns, revolvers and rifles inside his home in the quiet neighborhood.

Foehner took the plea deal to avoid a trial, where he faced 25 years in prison on gun charges that are not hard to prove, said his attorney Thomas Kenniff after Thursday’s hearing in Queens Supreme Court. Mutilated Birds Found Drained of Blood in NY as Conspiracies of Dark Rituals and Cult-Like Killings Loom

The chilling discovery of two roosters and a white dove — all decapitated and drained of blood — has authorities in upstate New York investigating a possible link to dark ritualistic sacrifices.

The gruesome find near Lake Carmel in Putnam County on Friday is just the latest in a series of recent troubling discoveries in the upstate community — with locals wondering if there’s a cult in their midst.

“The area where this bag was found was only a short distance from where other bags of mutilated animals have been found in recent months, possibly the result of ritualistic killings,” the Putnam County SPCA said in a Facebook post this week.

The bodies of the two roosters were found stuffed in a plastic bag, not far from where the white dove was found along a wooded area on Holland Drive near the lake in the town of Kent, officials said.

So far this year, 10 similar discoveries have been made in the area, including an incident in April when two butchered birds were stuffed in a garbage bag and dumped nearby, News12 reported.

The station said that the birds, which were found shortly after 4:30 p.m. Friday, had been drained of blood. (Read more from “Mutilated Birds Found Drained of Blood in NY as Conspiracies of Dark Rituals and Cult-Like Killings Loom” HERE)

Diddy Denied Acquittal and New Trial as Prosecutors Seek 11 Year Sentence

Prosecutors urged a New York federal judge Tuesday to send Sean “Diddy” Combs to prison for over 11 years following his conviction on prostitution-related charges, citing one of his accusers who said she lives in fear of the music mogul’s release from detention.

“His crimes of conviction are serious and have warranted sentences over ten years in multiple cases for defendants who, like Sean Combs, engaged in violence and put others in fear,” they wrote in a presentence submission requesting at least 11 years and three months in prison.

They filed their sentencing recommendation shortly after midnight, including letters from some of his accusers describing how his violence and demands had impacted their lives.

They called Combs “unrepentant” and said Combs had conceded his acts of violence and abuse throughout his trial but “incredibly, … he now argues that his victims should shoulder the blame.” (Read more from “Diddy Denied Acquittal and New Trial as Prosecutors Seek 11 Year Sentence” HERE)

Trump Warns Governor’s ‘Shocking’ Endorsement Could Have Consequences

President Donald Trump blasted Democrat New York Gov. Kathy Hochul on Monday morning for her endorsement of avowed socialist Zohran Mamdani for New York City mayor.

The most recent polling shows Mamdani is leading by a wide margin against disgraced former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, incumbent Mayor Eric Adams and Republican Curtis Sliwa. Hochul finally threw her support behind Mamdani, a current New York State assemblyman and former rapper, on Sunday evening after months of hesitation.

“Governor Kathy Hochul of New York has Endorsed the ‘Liddle’ Communist,’ Zohran Mamdani, running for Mayor of New York. This is a rather shocking development, and a very bad one for New York City. How can such a thing happen?” Trump posted on his Truth Social platform. “Washington will be watching this situation very closely.”

The president added that there is “no reason to be sending good money after bad,” seemingly threatening to withhold federal funds from New York. (Read more from “Trump Warns Governor’s ‘Shocking’ Endorsement Could Have Consequences” HERE)

Fashion Model Learning to Be a Man after Being Pushed to Transition at Age 15: ‘I Was Really Crazy on the Hormones’

In Catholic churches across Manhattan and Brooklyn, Salomé captivated the congregation, uplifting the faithful with her soulful singing and skilled organ playing. The New York Archdiocese Organist Training Program enrollee’s musical gifts had her booking gigs across the city.

But for years, Salomé’s bashful smile and angelic voice concealed a secret — one not even known in the shadows of the confessional. She was a he; Salomé was born Miles.

His story is one that’s becoming all too familiar: A child with unconventional interests, swayed by strange ideologies on the Internet, is hustled by doctors into a life of medical dependency — only to find himself questioning everything years later.

“They very quickly put me on hormones without really any discernment. Looking back, if I were a doctor, I would think this is a much larger decision than the kid thinks that it is,” he tells The Post. . .

At 15, Yardley found himself a patient in the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia’s gender clinic. He’d been late to start puberty and had interests in singing and dancing. Classmates began to ask if he was gay or a girl. He’d never heard of transgenderism. “I had not questioned my own identity before other people started asking me questions and putting that on me,” he says.

After only his second appointment, a Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia doctor put Yardley on androgen blockers and later estrogen therapy, calling him “the perfect example” of a transgender child.
