YETI Coolers Cuts Ties with NRA, so Its Competitor Brilliantly Does This.

By The Daily Wire. One of the secrets to being a successful business is knowing an opportunity when you see one, especially opportunities provided by your competitors’ blunders. On Sunday, YETI Coolers served up just such an opportunity and RTIC Coolers quickly took advantage.

The National Rifle Association Foundation said in a statement on Sunday that recently, without explanation, YETI informed the organization that it would no longer sell products with its charitable foundation:

Suddenly, without prior notice, YETI has declined to do business with The NRA Foundation saying they no longer wish to be an NRA vendor, and refused to say why. They will only say they will no longer sell products to The NRA Foundation. That certainly isn’t sportsmanlike. In fact, YETI should be ashamed. They have declined to continue helping America’s young people enjoy outdoor recreational activities. These activities enable them to appreciate America and enjoy our natural resources with wholesome and healthy outdoor recreational and educational programs.

YETI Cuts Ties with the NRA

Wells Fargo Threatened by Teachers Union Over Bank’s Refusal to ‘Ditch’ the NRA

After being called the “go-to bank for gun makers and the NRA” by Bloomberg over the weekend, Wells Fargo is now being attacked by the American Federation of Teachers.

AFT president Randi Weingarten announced on Saturday: “We’re issuing Wells Fargo an ultimatum. They can have a mortgage market that includes America’s teachers, or they can continue to do business with the NRA and gun manufacturers. They can’t do both.”

Wells Fargo CEO Tim Sloan offered to meet with Weingarten during written correspondence between the two, but added, “When dealing with the safety of our families, children, and other issues of this magnitude, there are no easy or satisfying solutions. In fact, as I have publicly stated, I do not believe that the American public wants banks to decide which legal products consumers can and cannot buy.”

Sloan’s statement comes weeks after Citigroup announced it would implement restrictions on gun sales for their retail clients. Citi’s move was met with ridicule from Congressional Republicans, with Senator John Kennedy (R-La.) telling the bank’s CEO Michael Corbat in a letter, “The very fact that Citi remains operational is due entirely to the generosity of the American taxpayers. Please don’t forget that.”

Citi said the intent of their new policy was to do their part in implementing gun control after “tragedy and inaction.” (Read more from “Wells Fargo Threatened by Teachers Union Over Bank’s Refusal to ‘Ditch’ the NRA” HERE)

Allen West Just Reminded the World What the NRA Did With a Black Man in Chicago

During the latest push by the left to impose strict gun control laws, the National Rifle Association has been unjustly maligned as being an evil “terrorist organization” that has blood on its hands and doesn’t mind seeing innocent people gunned down or children massacred in school shootings.

In previous rhetorical assaults on the NRA, the organization has also been ruthlessly smeared as being racist toward minorities, despite the group’s history as being one of the oldest civil rights organizations that came about, in part, to help protect the Second Amendment-guaranteed rights of free black citizens in the post-slavery Reconstruction era.

Former Florida congressman and retired U.S. Army Lt. Col. Allen West likely had that and a much more recent historical example on his mind when he took to Twitter last week to defend the reputation of the NRA from unjust smears . . .

West had referenced the 2010 Supreme Court ruling in the case of McDonald v. City of Chicago, in which the majority of the court held that the Second Amendment of the Constitution applied on a state and local level as well as federal, by virtue of the “due process clause” of the 14th Amendment, which had been added to the Constitution during the Reconstruction era to guard against states that were not respecting the fundamental civil rights of newly free black citizens.

A SCOTUSblog entry from 2009 while the case had yet to be heard noted the NRA had filed a lawsuit in support of a separate lawsuit by four Chicago residents who were challenging a draconian gun control law which effectively banned all handguns in the city. NRA Gets Flooded With Donations After Being Attacked

By The Daily Wire. On Tuesday, a new report revealed that donations to the National Rifle Association’s (NRA) political action committee significantly increased in February after they were attacked by the media and far-left activists in the wake of the Parkland shooting.

“The PAC raised a total of $779,063 in February and reported $247,985 in donations in January,” an increase of over 300%, The Washington Free Beacon reported.

The massive surge in donations comes after the gun rights group has been viciously attacked by the media and far-left activists like Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student David Hogg, who has referred to the NRA as “child murderers” on multiple occasions. NRA PAC Donations More Than Tripled in February

By Washington Free Beacon. Donations to the National Rifle Association’s (NRA) political action committee more than tripled in February in comparison to its contributions from January, filings show.

The donations increased as liberal activists, politicians, and celebrities have called for more gun control measures and singled out the NRA and Republican politicians who have received support from the group following the Feb. 14 shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., that left 17 dead.

Speakers at the “March for Our Lives” rally this past Saturday in Washington, D.C., continued the push by calling for an AR-15 ban and restrictions on “high capacity magazines.”

Supporters of the NRA appear to have responded by infusing more money into the organization’s political action committee. The NRA’s Political Victory Fund, the group’s PAC, experienced a nearly five-fold increase in itemized donations immediately following the attack, according to the Center for Responsive Politics . . .

For the two-week period prior to the shooting—from Jan. 31 to Feb. 13—the NRA’s PAC received $27,100 from 51 itemized contributions, or large contributions from individuals in the amount of $200 or more. The names, dates, and amounts of the contributions from donors who give more than $200 are included in filings, allowing for a count of large contributors. WATCH: In Profanity-Laced Interview, Parkland Student Says NRA Could Have Children’s Blood on Their Faces and They’d Still Take No Action

Recently, a left-wing activist at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School accused the NRA of being “pathetic f***ers that want to keep killing our children,” adding that they could have the blood of murdered children on their faces but they wouldn’t do anything because they are somehow greedy.

In an interview with The Outline, David Hogg attacked pro-gun politicians and the NRA, saying, “It just makes me think what sick f***ers out there want to continue to sell more guns, murder more children, and honestly just get reelected.”

“What type of s***ty person does that?” Hogg continued. “They could have blood from children splattered all over their faces and they wouldn’t take action, because they all still see these dollar signs.”

Hogg said he is going to make sure that “those f***ers aren’t getting reelected.”

Hogg said he does not want more school security because “We’re going to create a system where we widen the school-to-prison pipeline.” This notion of there being a “school-to-prison pipeline” has been thoroughly debunked. Connecticut Governor: The NRA Has Become a ‘Terrorist Organization’

Connecticut Gov. Dannel Malloy said that the National Rifle Association has evolved into a “terrorist organization.”

Malloy, a Democrat who declined to make a run at a third term this year, made the remarks on Monday, according to FOX-61.

Malloy said the Fairfax, Va.-based Second Amendment organization is today a “far cry” from what it was even 20 years ago . . .

Malloy said that in 1999 – the same year as the Columbine High School shooting – the NRA declared that teachers should not be armed . . .

“They have in essence become a terrorist organization,” he said. (Read more from “Connecticut Governor: The NRA Has Become a ‘Terrorist Organization'” HERE)

Leftists SLAM New Bruce Willis Movie as ‘Racist’, ‘Evil’ ‘NRA Commercial’

Leftists are slamming a new Bruce Willis movie as a “racist” “commercial for the NRA.”

Opening this weekend, “Death Wish,” a remake of the 1974 film of the same name, stars Willis as Paul Kersey, a Chicago doctor who turns vigilante to exact his revenge on a group of men who murdered his wife and brutally attacked his daughter. Here’s a synopsis from RottenTomatoes:

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures presents director Eli Roth’s reimagining of the 1974 revenge thriller Death Wish. Dr. Paul Kersey (Bruce Willis) is a surgeon who only sees the aftermath of his city’s violence when it is rushed into his ER – until his wife (Elisabeth Shue) and college-age daughter (Camila Morrone) are viciously attacked in their suburban home. With the police overloaded with crimes, Paul, burning for revenge, hunts his family’s assailants to deliver justice. As the anonymous slayings of criminals grabs the media’s attention, the city wonders if this deadly avenger is a guardian angel or a grim reaper. Fury and fate collide in the intense action-thriller Death Wish. Paul Kersey becomes a divided person: a man who saves lives, and a man who takes them; a husband and father trying to take care of his family, and a shadowy figure fighting crime; a surgeon extracting bullets from suspects’ bodies, and a man seeking justice that detectives are quickly closing in on.

Sounds awesome, right? Leftist critics are hating on this movie, blasting it as “NRA-Agitprop” and white man “wish fulfillment.”

And then there’s NPR’s take: “A film ruthlessly engineered to target the pleasure-centers of the most fearful and fragile cohort of American maleness.” NPR!

So with all the leftist hate for this film dragging the NRA into another cultural controversy, conservatives are excited to see it.

The critic score on RottenTomatoes may be a measly 15 percent, but 80 percent of the audience loved it so far. “Death Wish” opens this weekend. Will all the leftist hate turn out conservatives to see this movie? (For more from the author of “Leftists SLAM New Bruce Willis Movie as ‘Racist’, ‘Evil’ ‘NRA Commercial'” please click HERE)

NRA Members Rip Trump: ‘Every Word of It Was Betrayal’

NRA members have branded Donald Trump’s plans for stricter gun control legislation “stupid” and a “betrayal” after the president suggested reforms on Wednesday.

In an open meeting with congressional Democrats and Republicans, Trump embraced raising the age limit on purchasing certain weapons and suggested that law enforcement should be allowed to confiscate people’s guns before going through due process in a court.

Joe Biggs, an Austin, Texas-based NRA member and chief executive of Rogue Right, a conservative news website, was among those unimpressed by the proposal.

“That’s the stupidest f**king thing I’ve ever heard in my life. Hopefully he was just having a momentary brain fart, a lapse of judgment,” Biggs said . . .

During the meeting Trump called for a “beautiful” bill which would expand background checks on gun purchases and restrict young people from purchasing certain weapons. But it was his suggestion that in some cases law enforcement should be allowed to “take the guns first, go through due process second” – that most alarmed gun owners on the right. Delta Tax Break Threatened After Cutting NRA Ties

Conservatives in Georgia’s Senate have a message for Delta Air Lines: Renew your relationship with the National Rifle Association or you will pay the price.

The state House had approved a tax break that could provide a $40 million benefit to the airline, but members of the Senate vowed to fight the deal after Delta dropped its discounted fares Saturday for members of the NRA.

Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle, a Republican, vowed Monday to kill any tax break for Delta, which is headquartered in Atlanta, unless the airline revived its discount program . . .

Delta announced Saturday that it was joining at least 10 companies in ending its discount arrangement with the NRA, and asked the gun rights group to remove its logo from the group’s website. Other groups that cut ties include MetLife and Hertz.

The airline decided at its annual meeting to end the contract to reflect its neutral position in the national debate over gun control and notified the NRA on Saturday. The decision came after the shooting rampage Feb. 14 at a Florida high school that left 17 people dead. (Read more from “Delta Tax Break Threatened After Cutting NRA Ties” HERE)

By The Hill. First National Bank of Omaha said Thursday that it would end its business relationship with the National Rifle Association (NRA) after feedback from customers.

In a post on its official Twitter account Thursday, the bank announced it would no longer renews its contract with the NRA.

“Customer feedback has caused us to review our relationship with the NRA,” the bank wrote. “As a result, First National Bank of Omaha will not renew its contract with the National Rifle Association to issue the NRA Visa Card.”

The bank, which is the largest privately held bank in the United States, previously issued NRA-branded credit cards as part of a its business issuing branded cards for multiple U.S. brands. (Read more from “Bank Ends Relationship With NRA” HERE)

More Companies End Relationship With NRA

By David Caplan and Brendan Rand. A slew of other companies — including United Airlines, MetLife Inc., Hertz and Best Western — have followed suit, announcing plans to terminate special discounts and benefits for NRA members.

And as petitions circulate online urging companies to #BoycottNRA, the pressure to disassociate from the NRA is growing. #BoycottNRA has already trended on Twitter.

The NRA slammed companies who have been cutting ties with the group, calling it a “shameful” move. . .

Delta Air Lines: Delta announced on Twitter on Saturday morning that it will be ending its contract with the NRA for discounted rates for group travel. . .

Enterprise Holdings Inc.: The car rental company, which also owns Alamo and National, tweeted Friday, “All three of our brands have ended the discount for NRA members. This change will be effective March 26.” (Read more about companies that end relationship with NRA HERE)
