Peter Strzok Isn’t Taking the Durham Report Findings Very Well

Disgraced FBI Agent Peter Strzok isn’t taking the latest Russian collusion update well. Maybe that’s because the report submitted by Special Counsel John Durham, which totaled over 300 pages, eviscerated the FBI and finally concluded that the whole investigation was a hoax. Not a shred of tangible evidence could suggest that Donald Trump was colluding with Moscow, and there was certainly not enough to greenlight a full-blown counterintelligence probe into the matter. The report confirmed what we already knew but took a katana to the credibility and professionalism the bureau prided itself on for decades. The FBI is the Democratic Party’s errand boy, and the report, like other IG reports on the Department of Justice, points to political bias as the primary motivator with all these witch-hunt inquiries into the former president.

Strzok responded to the Durham findings predictably:

. . .Strzok was a top counterintelligence agent whose extramarital tryst with FBI lawyer Lisa Page highlighted how standards had fallen. Not over their dalliance but the tens of thousands of anti-Trump text messages, including one that had Strzok assuring Page that they would stop Trump. Liberal Insanity: Former FBI Agent Peter Strzok Says January 6 Was Worse Than 9/11

Disgraced former FBI agent and a central figure in propagating the Trump-Russia “collusion” probe Peter Strzok touted to legacy media pundits Monday that September 11 is “nothing compared” to January 6.

During an interview with MSNBC’s Nichole Wallace during Deadline White House, Wallace condemned FBI director Christoper Wray for failing to spout “one utterance” of connecting the dots between 9/11 and 1/6, adding that day in American history was the “deadliest attack on the U.S. Capitol.”

“If you look at the scale in terms of threat to democracy — I mean 9/11 was a tragedy, we lost thousands of lives in a horrific way — we still mourn to this day,” Strzok said. “But when you look at something that is an attack on democracy . . . that could actually bring about a fundamental change to American governance, as we understand it — 9/11 is nothing compared to January 6.”

Strzok then echoed MSNBC’s sentiments slamming federal authorities for failing to get on the “same sort of war footing” that the U.S. paved following the events at the World Trade Center twenty years ago.

“Shame on everyone,” he added.

The Biden Administration Just Made Peter Strzok’s Wife a Top Official

President Joe Biden’s Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) announced it hired Melissa Hodgman to lead the agency as its acting director of the Division of Enforcement last week.

“Melissa’s dedication to investor protection, broad experience in the Division, and proven track record of collaboration and creative problem solving make her ideally suited to this role,” SEC Acting Chair Allison Herren Lee celebrated in a statement. “As Associate Director, Melissa has overseen a wide range of complex and programmatically important matters, and has been a leading voice in the Division on critical issues of diversity, hiring, and labor-management relations.”

Hodgman, according to the agency press release, has been with the SEC since 2008 as a longtime bureaucrat engaging in a wide range of litigation. Hodgman is also married to another, better-known longtime Washington bureaucrat, Peter Strzok, made famous for his role in the FBI’s deep-state Crossfire Hurricane operation, which featured a witch hunt investigation that sought to incriminate President Donald Trump. New Strzok-Page Emails Show FBI Investigated President Trump’s Tweets Critical of Obama and FBI

Judicial Watch announced today that it received 323 pages of emails between former FBI official Peter Strzok and former FBI attorney Lisa Page. The records include an email from Strzok to other FBI officials about Trump’s tweets regarding them spying on him, as well as their interaction with other media outlets including CNN.

The records were produced to Judicial Watch in a January 2018 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit filed after the DOJ failed to respond to a December 2017 request for all communications between Strzok and Page (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:18-cv-00154)). The FBI is only processing the records at a rate of 500 pages per month and has refused to process text messages. At this rate, the production of these emails will not be completed until late 2021 at the earliest.

On March 18, 2017, Strzok emails his boss, then-Asst. Director for the Counterintelligence Division Bill Priestap, along with colleagues Jon Moffa and Page, about his research into President Trump’s tweets about being wiretapped:

Sending the tweets in question along with posting times. Doing some research, time stamping in Twitter can be glitchy … [T]he tweet times below were all -3 hours from east coast time, which I adjusted (ie, the first listed as 3:35am). I think I recall reporting at the time described the tweets as occurring around 630, not 330.

Terrible! Just found out that Obama had my “wires tapped” in Trump Tower just before the victory. Nothing found. This is McCarthyism! – Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 4, 2017 6:35 AM

WATCH: Lisa Page Explains What Her Texts Messages With Peter Strzok REALLY Meant

Former FBI lawyer Lisa Page explained to MSNBC host Rachel Maddow what the text messages between her and former FBI agent Peter Strzok actually meant during her first televised interview on Tuesday.

Maddow asked Page what Strzok, who she was having an affair with, meant by having an “insurance policy” in case then-candidate Donald Trump won the 2016 presidential election.

“First of all it’s not my text so I’m sort of interpreting what I believed he meant back three years ago, but we’re using an analogy,” Page explained. “We’re talking about whether or not we should take certain investigative steps or not based on the likelihood that he’s going to be president or not. You have to keep in mind if President Trump doesn’t become president, the national security risks, if there is somebody in his campaign associated with Russia, plummets.”

DOJ Details ‘Security Violations’ by ‘Anti-Trump’ Agent Strzok

In government documents released Monday, Peter Strzok — the famous “anti-Trump” FBI agent who was a central figure in the bureau’s investigation into Hillary Clinton’s private email server and the early stages of the Trump-Russia “collusion” probe — is accused by the Department of Justice of several “security violations” and “unprofessional conduct.”

Strzok sued the Justice Department in August for what he says was an unfair, politically motivated firing that was a result of, as one of his lawyers put it, “President Trump’s unrelenting retaliatory campaign of false information” against him.

“The decision to fire Special Agent Strzok in violation of his Constitutional rights was the result of a long and public campaign by President Trump and his allies to vilify Strzok and pressure the agency to terminate him,” reads the complaint filed in federal court in Washington, D.C. on August 6. The Justice Department, Strzok claims, attempted to smear him in part by disclosing hundreds of text messages revealing his political bias and adulterous affair with FBI lawyer Lisa Page.

The Justice Department, however, maintains that Strzok has no case, its filing Monday intended to hammer home that message by outlining a series of flagrant offenses committed by the agent — “including his alleged practice of keeping sensitive FBI documents on his unsecured personal electronic devices, even as his wife gained access to his cellphone and discovered evidence that he was having an affair with former FBI attorney Lisa Page,” as reported by Fox News. . .

“In its filing, the DOJ included an August 2018 letter to Strzok from the DOJ’s Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR), which said in part that Strzok had engaged in a ‘dereliction of supervisory responsibility’ by failing to investigate the potentially classified Hillary Clinton emails that had turned up on an unsecured laptop belonging to Anthony Weiner as the 2016 election approached,” Fox News explains. “The situation became so dire, OPR said, that a case agent in New York told federal prosecutors there that he was ‘scared’ and ‘paranoid’ that ‘somebody was not acting appropriately’ and that ‘somebody was trying to bury this.’” (Read more from “DOJ Details ‘Security Violations’ by ‘Anti-Trump’ Agent Strzok” HERE)

Disgraced FBI Agent Peter Strzok, Who Said He Would ‘Stop’ a Trump Presidency, Is Suing the DOJ

Former FBI Agent Peter Strzok, who was fired in disgrace for his conduct during the 2016 election, has filed a lawsuit against the Department of Justice; demanding back pay in what he says was a wrongful termination. Strzok’s antics during the 2016 election place the FBI in an embarrassing situation and tarnished its reputation as a leading and impartial investigative body. The FBI started the counterintelligence investigation that became the Russia probe headed by now-ex-Special Counsel Robert Mueller, who removed Strzok from the case when he learned of the text messages and its contents. Strzok was a counterintelligence agent who was then reassigned to human resources upon discovery of these texts (via NBC News):

Former FBI agent Peter Strzok filed suit against the Justice Department on Tuesday, arguing he was wrongly fired for sending private text messages that ripped Donald Trump during the 2016 presidential campaign.
Strzok was a senior FBI official who worked on the investigations into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server as secretary of state and any links between Russia interference in the 2016 election and the Trump campaign. Special counsel Robert Mueller had him removed from his investigation into Trump and Russia after the anti-Trump texts emerged publicly.

Strzok was fired from the FBI late last year. His lawsuit says he was fired as a result of a “concerted public campaign to disparage and, ultimately, fire Special Agent Strzok” that “was enabled by the defendants’ deliberate and unlawful disclosure to the media of texts.”
