Pathetic: Kamala Harris Omits Declaration of Independence’s Right to ‘Life’ in Address on Abortion

Vice President Kamala Harris omitted the right to “life” when quoting from the Declaration of Independence during her pro-abortion remarks on the 50th anniversary of the now-overturned Roe v. Wade Supreme Court case.

Harris spoke in Tallahassee, Florida, on the 50th anniversary of Roe, the landmark abortion case that the U.S. Supreme Court overturned last summer.

“We are here today because we collectively believe and know, America is a promise – it is a promise of freedom and liberty,” Harris said before quoting from the Declaration, which declares that the rights to “Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness” are natural rights.

However, Harris conveniently omitted “life” as she quoted from one of the most important documents in American history.

“Not for some, but for all,” Harris continued. “A promise that we made in the Declaration of Independence that we are each endowed with the right to liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

This Hotel Has a Disgusting Offer for Southern Women Wanting Abortions

After multiple states in the south passed pro-life bills prohibiting women from obtaining an abortion once a fetus’ heartbeat is detected – commonly referred to as “heartbeat bills – the owner of the Yale Hotel in Michigan has invited women to come to her state to stay at her hotel while they obtain an abortion.

The owner, 55-year-old Shelley O’Brien said she couldn’t sit by and watch. She had to do something to help women wanting to obtain an abortion. The mother of three and grandmother of seven said she thought of the Underground Railroad. During slavery, the Underground railroad was used to free slaves by bringing them to the north. O’Brien said she thought a similar thing could happen with women wanting to obtain abortions.

“This is important. This is my line. There’s no coming back from this. You start taking away the right for women to control their own bodies, and we’re done for as a civilization,” O’Brien told the Detroit Free Press.”I can’t stop what’s happening, but I have the resources to maybe help someone in that position, and especially knowing that women are coming from other states already.”

O’Brien posted on her hotel’s Facebook page, letting women know they could stay at her hotel for free if they were visiting the area for the medical procedure. After the initial post, she updated with additional resources, including organizations that provide rides for women to and from their appointments.

Pro-abortion Group Waves Bloody Hangers Outside Austin Courthouse

“These coat hangers represent the terror enacted against women!” So screamed Alexandria Petersburg, an organizer for a pro-abortion group known as “Stop Patriarchy.”

Petersburg and her group made quite the scene in Austin, Texas Wednesday when they gathered outside a federal courthouse to protest the pro-life bill HB2. Governor Rick Perry signed this legislation into law last summer and it has since shuttered over a dozen abortion clinics in the state after they failed to meet the same standards as ambulatory surgical centers. Since its passage, pro-choice advocates have used rather unorthodox tactics to voice their opposition. “Stop Patriarchy,” however, took their protests to an egregious level:

They were cloaked in black chains, holding bloody clothes hangers and chanting, “Abortion on demand without apology!” Protesting outside the Austin federal courthouse during the trial to overturn Texas’ abortion law last week, members of the national abortion rights group Stop Patri-archy likened forced motherhood – that is, no access to abortion care – to female enslavement. The fiery rhetoric and dramatic display caught the eyes of local TV news – one newscast reported, “Those orange shirts were back to protest the law.”

Pro-Abortion Biden Boasts His Theology Credentials, Claims Amnesty Bill is “Christian Thing to Do”

Vice President Joe Biden, speaking at the National Hispanic Prayer Breakfast Thursday, slammed Republican lawmakers opposed to the push for comprehensive immigration reform, calling the White House’s blueprint the “Christian thing to do.”

As lawmakers move closer to a compromise on border security, the free-talking Biden had some fiery words for Republicans . . .

“Many of these same [GOP] representatives talk about their Christianity and their fidelity to the Bible, but they forget Matthew Chapter 25, Verse 34, where scripture teaches us: ‘I was hungry and you gave me food; I was thirsty — you gave me drink. I was a stranger, and you welcomed me,’” Biden said pointing to a Republican amendment that would have blocked President Obama’s decision to halt the deportation of so-called DREAMers.

Biden later added, “It’s the right thing to do; it’s the Christian thing to do.”

DNC Chair Wasserman, Pro-Abortion Activist Fluke, Crash GOP Convention in Tampa

Pro-abortion activist Sandra Fluke and pro-abortion Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair and Florida Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Shultz crashed the Republican convention on Thursday afternoon.

Leading up to the nomination acceptance speech from Mitt Romney, Fluke and Wasserman Schultz somehow made it through security and into the convention center to speak to members of the press. Reporters surrounded Schultz to get her take on the GOP convention. She made a brief statement to the press and walked to the Google-sponsored bloggers lounge where press members also are found.

Although Democrats have set up an office near the GOP convention center, this was the first time and top Democrats ventured into the GOP convention itself.

Fluke later tweeted, “At the #RNC2012 getting the word out on why #romneyryan are #WrongForWomen. First this convention has gotten to hear about women’s concerns.”

Matthew Boyle of the conservative Daily Caller had more on their appearances and snapped a picture:

Video: Unearthed – Obama calls newborn baby a ‘fetus outside of the womb’

Did Obama vote in favor of infanticide? Pro-life activists have long made the argument that he did, and that a conspiracy of silence from the mainstream media is the only thing that has prevented Americans from knowing the full extent of Obama’s extreme views on the abortion issue.

Now, newly unearthed audio from 2002 shows Barack Obama, then a state senator in Illinois, discussing the bill that has elicited charges that he voted to allow “infanticide.” Read more from this story HERE. Obama’s extreme statements begin at 3:20:

Fox News Under Fire, Falsely Asserts Planned Parenthood Doesn’t Do Abortions

A Fox news anchor is drawing criticism from pro-life advocates for saying in a news report that Planned Parenthood doesn’t do abortions. Moreover, former Judge Andrew Napolitano agreed with the anchor that that was the case.

Anchor Martha MacCallum was conducting a report on the decision by a federal appeals court to allow Texas to continue its effort revoking taxpayer funds from the Planned Parenthood abortion business.

“So judge obviously there has been a lot of debate in this country over whether or not the federal government and states should fund Planned Parenthood because they do refer people to and give them counseling with regard to abortion. They don’t perform abortions at Planned Parenthood,” she said to Napolitano, who responded, “Correct.”

“So Planned Parenthood says that most of what we do is outreach to women who need cancer screenings and basic health care, OBGYN health care, we do not provide abortions, we do counsel people, and we do help them, if they say that that’s what they want to do, we help them get there,” MacCallum added.

However, Planned Parenthood’s own figures show it is the biggest abortion business in the nation.

Botched Abortion 911 Call: “She’s Bleeding Quite Badly” (+video)

By Steven Ertelt. The recording of the 911 call from an apparently badly botched abortion last week at an abortion clinic is Dayton has been made public and the details are shocking for a woman who was victimized.

A woman was rushed to the hospital in Dayton, Ohio following a botched late-term abortion that took place at the Women’s Med Center abortion clinic in Dayton. Martin Haskell, who is credit with making the partial-birth abortion procedure a household name, runs the abortion facility that injured the woman.

According to local pro-life advocate who filmed emergency medical personnel rushing to the scene, paramedics loaded a female patient into an awaiting ambulance. Those activists confirmed that the abortion practitioner on duty that day was Roslyn Kade, a long-time associate of Haskell’s.

Now, a 911 recording just released by Operation Rescue reveals that a medical emergency last week involved uncontrolled bleeding on a 37-year old patient.

“She’s bleeding quite bad,” a caller from the Women’s Med Center told the emergency dispatcher. The woman’s current condition remains unknown.

Federal Court of Appeals: Texas can cut off funding for Planned Parenthood

Texas officials are vowing to cut off funding for Planned Parenthood after a federal court sided with the state in a challenge over a new law that bans clinics affiliated with abortion providers from getting money through a health program for low-income women.

The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans late Tuesday reversed a federal judge’s temporary injunction that was allowing the funding to continue pending an October trial on Planned Parenthood’s challenge to the law.

State officials are seeking to halt money to Planned Parenthood clinics that provide family planning and health services as part of the state’s Women’s Health Program because the Republican-led Texas Legislature passed a law banning funds to organizations linked to abortion providers.

Planned Parenthood provides services like cancer screenings – but not abortions – to about half of the 130,000 low-income Texas women enrolled in the program, which is designed to provide services to women who might not otherwise qualify for Medicaid.

The appeals court’s decision means Texas is now free to impose the ban.
