‘Of Course!’ Former Trump Advisor Stephen Miller Says Watergate Was ‘Obviously’ a ‘Deep State Coup Against Richard Nixon’ (VIDEO)

. . .The exchange happened during the Friday edition of The Benny Show where host Benny Johnson asked Miller how reform could take place at the Department of Justice in light of the third indictment of Trump. A clip from the interview began circulating Twitter via Jason Campbell.

JOHNSON: I think the atmosphere, perhaps Stephen, is right for true, true reform here at the DOJ. Sir, how do you go about doing it?

MILLER: Well, the first and most important thing is to reestablish what is known as the unitary executive. So this goes back to the Watergate era. And now we obviously know, looking back on it now, of course, that that was a deep state coup against Richard Nixon.

MILLER: But this was back to the Watergate era in which, by the way, the cost of that just that we’re talking about measuring this in human lives, is that just I know it is a tangent, but to understand the consequence of the deep state thinking they run policy. Getting rid of Nixon, who was pursuing an honorable peace and a durable peace in Vietnam, led to the complete collapse of Nixon’s Vietnam strategy after he left office.

Tucker Carlson: Deep State Forced Nixon’s Resignation Because He Knew CIA Killed JFK; Bob Woodward Is a Fed

By Mediaite. Tucker Carlson claimed former President Richard Nixon was forced out of the White House as part of an elaborate deep state plot that included Bob Woodward. . .

Carlson noted Nixon resigned as president in 1974 and was replaced by his vice president Gerald Ford. The host said Nixon was reelected in 1972 by a historic margin but was “forced to resign” only to be replaced by an “obedient servant” in Ford:

“On June 23, 1972, Nixon met with then-CIA director Richard Helms at the White House. During the conversation, which thankfully was tape-recorded, Nixon suggested he knew “who shot John,” meaning President John F. Kennedy. Nixon further implied that the CIA was directly involved in Kennedy’s assassination, which we now know it was. Helms’ telling his response? Total silence.”

. . .The host said the Washington Post had already begun its “dishonest” reporting about the break-in at the Watergate Hotel. He said the burglary was perpetrated by CIA agents. Carlson then went in on Woodward, who reported those stories:

“Who exactly was Bob Woodward? Well, he wasn’t a journalist. Bob Woodward had no background whatsoever in the news business. Instead, Bob Woodward came directly from the classified areas of the federal government. Shortly before Watergate, Woodward was a naval officer at the Pentagon. . . Soon after leaving the Navy for reasons that have never been clear, Woodward was hired by the most powerful news outlet in Washington and assigned the biggest news story in the country. Tucker Carlson Suggests Bob Woodward Was a CIA Asset Sent to Oust President Nixon: ‘He Wasn’t a Journalist’

By The Wrap. Days after unequivocally claiming the CIA was behind the John F. Kennedy assassination, Tucker Carlson fingered the U.S. spy agency for ousting then-President Richard Nixon in 1974 by dispatching one of its most powerful assets: Washington Post journalist Bob Woodward. . .

Carlson had already suggested last week that Woodward was working with the government to get Nixon out – and get “obedient servant” Gerald Ford – Nixon’s then-Vice President – into the White House. . .

“Soon after leaving the Navy for reasons that have never been clear, Woodward was hired by the most powerful news outlet in Washington and assigned the biggest news story in the country,” Carlson added. “And just to make it crystal clear what was actually happening, Woodward’s main source for the Watergate series was Deputy Director of the FBI Mark Felt [believed to be the source known as ‘Deep Throat’].”

Carlson used that framing to suggesting that a similar bureaucratic coup is happening to President Joe Biden, who suddenly finds himself harangued by revelations that he had been improperly housing classified documents at his private residence, a now-familiar storyline.
