Riley Gaines Says TikTok Removed a Video in Which She Never Even Spoke a Single Word

Riley Gaines noted that a video that she posted — in which she never even spoke — has been removed from her TikTok account.

“This video just got removed from my tik tok for violating community guidelines but I literally didn’t say a word,” Gaines noted in a post on X, while retweeting a post that includes the relevant video.

In the video, Gaines can be seen eating cereal while a video plays in which an individual announces their pronouns and then proceeds to rattle off a massive list of bizarre self-descriptions.

“I am a white transmasculine, femme, nonbinary, temporarily mostly able-bodied, neuro-divergent, obsessive compulsive, chronically ill, culturally Jewish, Unitarian Universalist, nonmonogamous, demilowromantic, greydemibisexual, survivor of acute and complex trauma, millenial, and cat parent in mental health recovery,” the person declares in the video.

“Poor cat,” Gaines wrote earlier this month when sharing the video on X.

Top Athlete Urges Congress to Pass Bill Defining ‘Woman’

Riley Gaines, a former top college athlete, called on Congress on Wednesday to pass the “Women’s Bill of Rights,” which would clarify that the term “woman” is based on biology rather than personal identity when it appears in federal law.

The bill, led by Rep. Debbie Lesko (R-AZ) and cosponsored by about two dozen other Republicans, would codify the meanings of several of these sex-based terms, including “sex,” “woman,” “man,” “girl,” “boy,” “mother,” and “father.”

“This is crucial to ensure that women, we’re entitled to our privacy and our safety and our fairness and our equal opportunity,” Gaines said, adding, “I’m speaking for so much more than just myself.”

Gaines, a decorated swimmer who now serves as an Independent Women’s Voice spokeswoman, gained national attention last year after tying down to the hundredth of a second with Lia Thomas, a man, in an NCAA women’s national swimming championship event.
