By Assemblyman Tim Donnelly. On Saturday, hundreds gathered to protest against Islam’s sharia law at the site of the December 2015 terror attack in San Bernardino, California, and elsewhere throughout the state.
Protest rallies sponsored by ACT for America — Bridgette Gabriel’s anti-jihadist group — were held nationwide.
As the Los Angeles Times noted, a diverse group of over 500 demonstrators gathered at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino to protest what they described as the spread of sharia law in the United States.
They were met by smaller groups of counter-demonstrators, many from so-called “Antifa” groups. San Bernardino Police Officers handled security without any major incidents, except a few scuffles on the Anitfa side.

Anti-Sharia Protest, Counter-Demonstrations Held in Chicago Saturday
By Ash-Har Quraishi. It was supposed to be a rally against Sharia law, but those demonstrators were quickly outnumbered by counter-protestors in Chicago on Saturday afternoon.
The rally, part of a nationwide series of demonstrations organized by the conservative group ACT for America, saw some heated back and forth exchanges, but was largely a peaceful affair as the two sides each held sides and chanted slogans during their respective rallies.

For some Muslims, it can be hard to buy a house, and Mayor Ed Murray plans to do something about it.
On Monday, Murray’s housing committee released its recommendations for ways the city can increase housing in the city. Most ideas were what you’d expect, including increasing the city’s housing levy and implementing new rules and regulations to foster development of market-rate and lower-income housing.
One suggestion would help followers of Sharia law buy houses. That’s virtually impossible now because Sharia law prohibits payment of interest on loans. The 28-member committee recommended the city convene lenders and community leaders to explore options for increasing access to Sharia-compliant loan products.
More and more lenders are offering Sharia-compliant financing, according to a USA Today report. The sector has grown to more than $1.6 trillion in assets worldwide over the past three decades, and analysts see potential for continued growth as the number of Muslims in the United States and Europe grows.
It’s unclear how many Muslims in Seattle would benefit from Murray’s plan. The Washington state chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) estimates more than 30,000 Muslims live in the greater Seattle area, and Chapter Executive Director Arsalan Bukhari on Tuesday said it’s “fairly common” for some not to seek loans. The Saudis have spent billions already. 80% of the mosques built in America are Saudi-funded. Islamic groups working to impose the sharia are largely funded by the Saudis.
We can look forward to 32 billion more of the “kingdom’s brand of Islam, while censoring criticism of Islam.”
And it’s not just the media that is on the receiving end of this blood money, but also Muslim Brotherhood fronts like CAIR, which spend millions whining about how lucrative the “islamophobia” business is. As if . . .

By Realistic Observer. We are constantly told that only a tiny minority of Muslims hold extremist views and that Muslims make wonderful citizens. But a recent survey refutes all of this optimistic propaganda.
The survey tell us that significant numbers of Muslims in America do not want to be ruled by our Constitution but want Sharia law. Did Beyonce really call for Sharia law to be employed in urban communities for the benefit of the public?
Certainly not. But don’t tell that to some of the people author and social commentator Mark Dice interviewed for his “Man On the Street Mondays” segment posted to YouTube this week.
Dice, whose new book, “The Bilderberg Group: Facts & Fiction” was released last month, asks people if they heard Beyonce’s speech at The Bilderberg Group meeting last week.
Of course, Beyonce, by all accounts, was not even at the meeting and even if she was no one would know what she said because no minutes are kept of the highly secretive gatherings of political, business and academic leaders from Europe and North America. It is interesting to see President Obama trying to make a nuclear deal with Iran because Iran, an Islamic theocracy, must make a deal that is Sharia compliant. The Obama administration has to know and must feel a need to work with Iran’s Sharia requirements but is not making the predicament clear to the American people who are unaware of it. This is why:
Islamic law places jihad as not only a duty of every Muslim, but more importantly as the duty of every Muslim head of state. Permanent peace agreements with non-Muslim countries are forbidden since peace with the enemies of Islam is not a value, but in fact discouraged and would be treason if pursued for the purpose of peace. The relationship between Muslims and non-Muslims, as dictated by Sharia, must remain a hostile one unless non-Muslims abide by and live under Sharia. True peace with non-Muslims is forbidden and the only thing allowed is truces that must never exceed 10 years.
The Sharia manual of Islamic law Reliance of the Traveller, page 604-605, clearly states that only a truce, defined as cessation of violence, is “permissible but not obligatory.” In the Arabic original text, the word peace was never used to describe a truce, but in the English translation a truce is said to mean “a peace treaty with those hostile to Islam, involving a cessation of fighting for a specified period.” It is also important to note that the Arabic text call the people against whom Muslims are fighting as “Ahl El Harb” meaning people of war, or those who live in land of war (non-Muslim land) but in the English translation they are described as “those hostile to Islam.”
According to sharia “only the caliph (Muslim head of state) may effect a truce, for it is a matter of the gravest consequence because it entails the nonperformance of jihad.” Again here Sharia emphasizes the gravity and illegitimacy of ending violence and stopping jihad with Islam’s perceived enemies and the importance of never allowing peace to penetrate the Islamic state relationship with non-Muslim groups or nations.
Sharia clearly discourages truces unless it is beneficial for Islam, “There must be some interest served in making a truce other than mere preservation of the status quo,” it is said in English, but in Arabic it says “Truces should never be made just to end fighting.” Then it continues quoting from the Quran a verse on peace and its conditions: “So do not be fainthearted and call for peace, when you are the upper most.” Meaning that when Muslims are strong and have the upper hand they must not seek a truce or peace.
According to Sharia (Traveller, page 987) it is an enormity sin, punishable by death, for “a Muslim to flee from combat (jihad) against unbelievers” because of fear of getting killed, unless one is falling back to regroup regain strength and reinforcement. Truces in that sense should never be done for the sake of peace or to escape jihad.
A truce must be justified for a reason such as Muslim weakness because of lack of numbers or material, or in the hope of an enemy (non-Muslims) becoming Muslim. Traveller’s page 605 states that “If Muslims are weak, a truce may be made for ten years if necessary… It is not permissible to stipulate longer than that, save by means of new truces, each of which does not exceed ten years.”
It is clear that Iran’s wish to make a deal with the U.S. regarding its nuclear program is because of its feeling of weakness both internally from the economic standpoint and externally with the West and the many Sunni Arab enemies. For Obama the deal will show his critics that he has done something to stop Iran’s nuclear program, while in reality he is only kicking the can down to the next administration.
Benjamin Netanyahu and critics of Obama’s deal with Iran are right. Iran is following Sharia to the letter; it recognizes that it is now weak and desperately needs a 10-year Islamic fake peace, called a truce, to regroup, regain, and rebuild its military and economic strength while continuing its secret activities. After the lifting of the sanctions, Iran’s economy will improve and its control over its citizens will be strengthened, ending any hope for an uprising. In a few years Iran will regain its legitimacy among the nations of the world and will build an image of moderation only to start a new round of terror against Israel and the U.S. who should not be shocked this time by a Shiite style 9/11 after being kept in the dark for 10 years and shielded from the sharia proof plan.
The West must recognize that incrementalism has worked very well historically for both Shiite and Sunni Islam for over 1400 years, and 10 years is the sharia requirement. Iran does not have to noticeably violate the sharia-compliant truce with Obama since the deal has a sunset clause removing all restrictions and sanctions on Iran to develop its nuclear program after 10 years.
Even if Iran gets as far as 10-years compliance, it is guaranteed they will attack in earnest with complete terror and devastation because they would have obeyed Islamic law’s objective of annihilation of non-Muslim enemies, both Israel, the United States and all perceived enemies of Islam in their land, the land of war. Somali entrepreneurs in the neighborhood have transformed an abandoned machinery warehouse into this bustling indoor bazaar. Karmel Square is one of several commercial districts they’ve revived in recent years with support from an unexpected ally: the city.
Since 2006, Minneapolis has loaned more than $1 million to Muslim business owners through a program that complies with sharia law, which prohibits Muslims from paying or earning interest in a financial transaction. The program, which is operated in partnership with the African Development Center, makes Minneapolis the only city in the country to offer Islamic financing at a time when states are trying to ban sharia from the courts. “Minneapolis is a very welcoming city,” says Kristin Guild, the city’s business development manager. “Because [Somali immigrants] wear headscarves, they are visible as entrepreneurs and people see that they are setting up businesses in our town and creating jobs.”
Minnesota is home to the country’s largest Somali community, which is predominantly Sunni Muslim. An estimated 32,000 people of Somali ancestry live in the state, and about one-third of them live in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro area, according to the latest census figures.
In the past 10 years, North African immigrants have opened teashops, pharmacies, and child-care centers in southwest Minneapolis storefronts that were once boarded up. But many of these entrepreneurs struggled to grow their businesses because Islamic law forbids Muslims from earning or paying interest, known as riba. So they couldn’t take out loans or participate in the city’s low-interest financing program for small businesses.

Photo Credit: Gabriel Wani / FacebookTwenty-two House lawmakers led by Rep. Scott Garrett (R-N.J.) have sent a letter on Thursday to Secretary of State John Kerry, asking him to confront the Sudanese government about Meriam Ibrahim, a jailed pregnant Christian woman facing execution for apostasy.
“We urge the State Department to condemn the ruling handed down by Sudan’s court and call upon the Sudanese government to respect human rights and free Mariam Yahya Ibrahim [sic] and her young son immediately,” stated the letter, signed by 21 Republicans and one Democrat.
Meriam Yehya Ibrahim, who is eight months pregnant with her second child and imprisoned with her under two-year-old son, Martin Wani, was convicted of apostasy and adultery on May 11 and sentenced to death and 100 lashes, respectively, according to the Sudan Tribune.
Ibrahim was born to an Ethiopian Orthodox mother and a Sudanese Muslim father.
She married her husband, Daniel Wani, a South Sudanese-born U.S. citizen, in 2012.

On any ordinary weekday, every table at the Beverly Hills Hotel’s iconic Polo Lounge is filled to capacity with industry movers and shakers like Steven Spielberg, Ari Emanuel and Jeffrey Katzenberg, all regulars at the 73-year-old power spot.
But these days, the room is a ghost town.
Caught in the middle of the ballooning Beverly Hills Hotel boycott — a direct response to a decision by its owner, the Sultan of Brunei, to institute Sharia law in his country, which calls for the stoning to death of gays and adulterers — a Hollywood Reporter field trip on Wednesday for the midday meal found 1 p.m. to be as busy as 1 a.m.
Major philanthropic events like the Motion Picture & Television Fund’s Night Before the Oscars party, a luncheon for the Carousel of Hope Benefit, the J.J. Abrams-chaired Children’s Defense Fund gala and THR’s own Women in Entertainment breakfast have already canceled bookings at the storied Pink Palace. Now, it seems, the mass shunning extends to the property’s loyal power-lunching ranks.
Two hours earlier, an anonymous reservation call was placed, and a gracious female voice on the other end fielded the request for a highly sought-after booth for two. What would typically yield a “Sorry, we’re booked” instead earned a cheerful “We’ll do our absolute best!” For the eatery ranked No. 2 on THR’s 2014 Power Lunch survey, this did not bode well.

The pink stucco palace known as the Beverly Hills Hotel has long been a symbol of Hollywood glamour and affluence, the place where Elizabeth Taylor decamped for six of her eight honeymoons. Now it’s become the unlikely epicenter of protest against a new set of harsh laws enacted by the Islamic country of Brunei.
The opulent hotel is part of the Dorchester Collection, a luxury chain owned by the Sultan of Brunei. This week, the tiny, oil-rich southeast Asian country set off a storm of celebrity protests and boycotts by introducing Islamic laws that include death by stoning for homosexuals and adulterers.
Over the past several days, 20 events have been canceled at the Beverly Hills property–a loss of about $2 million in revenue for the hotel, according to Dorchester. Local politicians and celebrities are also boycotting the nearby Hotel Bel Air in Los Angeles, the hotel’s more subdued sister property.
Big names like Jay Leno and Ellen DeGeneres are urging boycotts, and the Beverly Hills mayor and council are calling for Dorchester to sell the famed hotel.
Dorchester, which runs 10 hotels world-wide, is looking to expand globally and has said it is seeking to acquire a luxury property in New York. Hotel analysts say the publicity surrounding protests against the company could complicate efforts to operate a Manhattan hotel, where there is also opposition to the new law.

Florida Democrats have declared war on women; but fortunately, their attack on our freedoms was turned back by Republicans who represented America and voted against them.
Anyone who isn’t certain that Democrats are devoted to destroying America need only take a look at their despicable conduct in the Florida Senate. In a vote that never should have had to be taken, every single Democrat voted to force Sharia Law on the people of Florida. By doing so, they placed women and children in very real danger. The vote was 24 votes for America and 14 votes for al Qaeda and the Taliban cast by loathsome Democrats. They voted to deny Americans the Constitutional protections generations of American men and women fought for and died to protect. Democrats have revealed their desire to force Americans to live as slaves to a third world, foreign “justice system.”
Since the liars in the Democrat–controlled media won’t describe what these quislings have tried to force on Americans, here is an outline of the horrors of Sharia Law.
There would be no freedom of religion because Sharia supports only Islam.
There would be no freedom of speech.

“We should be afraid of sharia law” in America, and Muslims here who want to practice sharia should go back to where they came from, “to those nations that recognize sharia law,” said Rev. Franklin Graham, head of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association.
In a recent interview with the Charlotte Observer, Graham was asked, “Some say you demonize Islam, and Christians in this country have opposed building a mosque or are worried about Sharia law. Isn’t it –”
Graham, who oversees the international Christian aid group Samaritan’s Purse, said, “We should be afraid of Sharia law. We should be absolutely afraid of it. No question about it, because there’s no tolerance in Sharia law. It persecutes those that do not believe in Islam.”
“And I would say to Muslims in this country, if they want to practice Sharia law, go back to where you came from, to those nations that recognize sharia law,” said Graham. “But we have our own laws here.”
Sharia law is the law of Islam, governing public life as well as private life. “Also meaning ‘path’ in Arabic, sharia guides all aspects of Muslim life, including daily routines, familial and religious obligations, and financial dealings,” states a backgrounder on sharia published by the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR). “Marriage and divorce are the most significant aspects of sharia, but criminal law is the most controversial.”
