U.S. Women’s Soccer Team Backup Goalie Attacks Christian Player

After accusations rose against the U.S. women’s soccer team that the team had snubbed openly Christian and star player Jaelene Hinkle because of her faith, the backup goaltender for the team, Ashlyn Harris, ripped into Hinkle, saying that the problem is Hinkle’s “intolerance” and that Hinkle is “homophobic.”

Harris’ comments were prompted not by Hinkle, who has not commented on the uproar, but by Catholic advocate and staunch pro-life champion Obianuju Ekeocha, who tweeted on Sunday: “Jaelene Hinkle, is the 26-year-old American footballer who gave up the opportunity to be in the USWNT. I was very curious to know what happened so I went in search of her interview with CBN. Apparently, the US women’s Football team is not a very welcoming place for Christians.” . . .

Then Harris seemingly conflated Ekeocha’s statement with Hinkle’s perspective, writing, “Don’t you dare say our team is ‘not a welcoming place for Christians’. You weren’t around long enough to know what this team stood for. This is actually an insult to the Christians on our team. Same on you.”

Christian Soccer Player Withdraws From Friendlies as US Team Is Set to Wear Gay Pride Jerseys

A release from U.S. Soccer said [Jaelene] Hinkle, 24, who is a defender for the North Carolina Courage, was called into the national camp to play international friendlies against Sweden and Norway this month. She was not replaced on the roster after her withdrawal.

It is unclear if U.S. Soccer’s celebration of gay pride this month is related to Hinkle’s withdrawal but she wears her faith proudly on social media.

She proudly boasts Colossians 3:23 on Twitter which says: “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men.”

“If you live for people’s acceptance, you’ll die from their rejection,” the tagline also notes.

She also converted a gay pride logo into a celebration of the cross on Instagram the same day the Supreme Court ruled in favor of same-sex marriage in 2015 while sharing her thoughts on the decision. Hope Solo, the gold-medal winning women’s soccer player, has blown the lid on the rumored raging parties and sexual exploits of the world’s most respected athletes during the Olympics.

Ms Solo detailed her and her competitors adventures off the field and in the Olympic Village, saying the entire women’s soccer team was completely wasted when they appeared on the Today show in 2008 after winning the gold medal.

‘I’ve seen people having sex right out in the open. On the grass, between buildings, people are getting down and dirty,’ she explains in the latest issue of ESPN magazine.

After taking home the 2008 gold medal in Beijing for women’s soccer, Ms Solo and her teammates made a brief appearance on the Today show.

The women smiled and spoke succinctly, but Ms Solo revealed that their demeanor was more linked to the fact that there were drunk from the night before.
