Minneapolis: FBI Raids Childcare Facilities Linked to Somali Fraud

More than 20 locations in Minneapolis were raided Tuesday as federal authorities crack down on alleged fraud linked to Somali-owned businesses in the Democrat-run state.

The targets included childcare facilities that were registered with the state but allegedly billing for care they did not provide, Fox News reported Tuesday.

Sources informed the outlet two of the raids happened at Quality Learning Center and Baby Halimo Child Care which are located in Minneapolis. The ironically misspelled “Quality Learing Center” drew much attention when it was featured in citizen journalist Nick Shirley’s investigation highlighting the alleged fraud, per Breitbart News.

In December, Shirley claimed he and his team uncovered more than $110,000,000 in a single day when they visited Minneapolis to investigate. Shirley’s video showed numerous childcare facilities that were vacant or non-operational storefronts, and some were occupied by Somalis who refused to answer his questions. Somali trucker busted driving wrong way down highway failed English test and couldn’t read road signs

A Somali driver caught barreling an “80-ton truck” the wrong way down a Missouri highway failed an English proficiency test — and wasn’t able to read road signs, authorities said.

The trucker was filmed driving south in the northbound lanes on Highway 61 near Troy, about 55 miles outside of St. Louis, at 8 a.m. Wednesday before finally crossing over and heading the right way, terrifying video shared by US Transportation Security Sean Duffy on X shows.

“We have learned that a truck driver with a Minnesota CDL who couldn’t read basic road signs spent MILES driving the wrong way in an 80 TON truck!” Duffy wrote on Wednesday.

Duffy confirmed that the “dangerous trucker is now out of service.”

Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers discovered that the trucker was behind the wheel despite being unable to identify basic road signs required for a commercial license, Fox 2 Now reported. Resurfaced Video Shows How Somali Scammers Used Day Care Centers To Rip Off State

A resurfaced 2018 video from a Minneapolis-area TV station shows how Somali scammers allegedly bilked Minnesota out of millions of dollars for services that they never provided.

Independent journalist Nick Shirley touched off a storm on social media Friday after he posted a photo of one day-care center, which displayed a banner calling it “Quality Learing Center” on X, along with a 42-minute video that went viral showing him visiting that and other day-care centers. The surveillance video, which aired on Fox 9 in 2018 after being taken in 2015, showed parents taking kids into the center, then leaving with them minutes later, according to Fox News.

“They were billing too much, they went up to high,” Hennepin County attorney Mike Freeman told Fox 9 in 2018. “It’s hard to imagine they were serving that many people. Frankly if you’re going to cheat, cheat little, because if you cheat big, you’re going to get caught.”

Democratic Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota was accused of engaging in “systemic” retaliation against whistleblowers in a Nov. 30 statement by state employees. Assistant United States Attorney Joe Thompson announced on Dec. 18 that the amount of suspected fraud in Minnesota’s Medicaid program had reached over $9 billion.

After Shirley’s video went viral, FBI Director Kash Patel announced the agency was already sending additional resources in a Sunday post on X, citing the case surrounding Feeding Our Future, which at one point accused the Minnesota government of racism during litigation over the suspension of funds after earlier allegations of fraud. Somali Gang Storms U.S. Park, Attack Random People

In what is just the latest incident of violence by Somali refugees in the United States, a gang has been caught on video attacking victims in a Lewiston, Maine, park.

Maine First Media reported witnesses said the attack began when one of the victims asked an attacker for a lighter for his cigarette. . . .

Main First Media said a dozen Somali youth “swarmed and attacked two local residents in Kennedy Park last Thursday evening. The Somali mob attacked around 7:45 pm, just as the sun was setting on this historic city park in the heart of Maine’s second largest city.”

The report said a local mother recorded the video “as a mob of teens and children, boys and girls as young as nine years old, brandishing wooden bats and other objects, along with fists, feet and sheer numbers to attack the two non-Somali defenders.” . . .

“Kennedy Park is a large common space in the middle of some of the poorest census tracts in the Northeast,” [Mayor] Bouchard told the agency. “When you have large, diverse groups of people in the same place you are bound to have incidents. US Woman Stabbed 14 Times by Somali Migrant, Media Silent

Morgan Evenson was walking home in downtown Minneapolis about 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 13 when a black man got out of his car, chased her down, tackled and stabbed her repeatedly . . .

At some point, neighbors heard her screams and came to help. Her attacker – described as a Somali man in his early 20s, about 5-foot-7 with a slight build and wearing grey stone-washed jeans – ran away.

Evenson was left bleeding on the curb with 14 stab wounds on her arms, neck and back. Her kidney was lacerated. She was lucky to survive the attack.

It happened while she was walking home from the Apple Store, where she worked, about eight blocks away from her apartment. That’s when the man attacked her for no apparent reason. Police, who have not made any arrests in the case, are calling it a botched robbery.

Police have called the case unusual for the level of brutality just to get a woman’s purse, leading some to wonder if the assailant didn’t want more than just a purse. (Read more from “US Woman Stabbed 14 Times by Somali Migrant, Media Silent” HERE)
