School Board President Tells Emotional Girl to ‘Wrap It Up’ After She Recounts Trans Athlete Experience

A school board meeting in California featured emotional debate over transgender athletes being allowed to share locker rooms with high school girls. One girl who cried during a speech was told by the board president to “wrap it up.”

During the Lucia Mar Unified School District (LMUSD) board meeting Wednesday, a high school junior girls’ track athlete at Arroyo Grande High School named Celeste Diest took the podium to recount her experience of having to change in front of a biologically male trans athlete before practice, while that athlete allegedly watched her undress.

“I went into the women’s locker room to change for track practice where I saw, at the end of my row, a biological male watching not only myself, but the other young women undress. This experience was beyond traumatizing,” Diest said, as she began to choke up and cry.

“Adults like yourself make me and my peers feel like our own comfort was invalid, even though our privacy was and still is completely violated.”

Diest then fought through her tears to argue that the trans athlete’s XY chromosomes define the person as a male, adding, “That is basic biology.” (Read more from “School Board President Tells Emotional Girl to ‘Wrap It Up’ After She Recounts Trans Athlete Experience” HERE)

Surrounded by Young Female Athletes, Donald Trump Bans Men From Women’s Sports

President Donald Trump signed an executive order Wednesday banning men from women’s sports, a historic moment in the fight to protect the integrity of women’s spaces from gender activists and ideologues.

“From now on,” he said to massive applause from those assembled, “women’s sports will be for only women.”

“With this executive order, the war on women’s sports is over,” he added.

The president signed the order in the East Room of the White House, surrounded by young schoolgirls, female athletes, and advocates, including Independent Women’s Forum ambassadors Riley Gaines, Paula Scanlon, and Peyton Edwards; journalist Sage Steele; Concerned Women for America’s Penny Nance, and others.

“If we have to worry about them, we have a bigger problem,” he joked to his Secret Service agents as the crowd of middle-school-aged girls rushed to his side for the signing. “What a nice picture this is!” (Read more from “Surrounded by Young Female Athletes, Donald Trump Bans Men From Women’s Sports” HERE)

US Olympic Committee Pushes ‘Open Categories’ for Transgender Athletes

The U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee is encouraging individual sports to consider “category qualifiers” — classified in some sports as “open” categories — to ensure transgender athletes will have events to participate in once they reach puberty.

The USOPC finalized its so-called position paper at its board meeting earlier this month and released it Monday, addressing a proposed path forward for transgender participation in sports.

The committee’s recommendations were based, it said, on the principle that science and “fairness” should guide all major decisions. As part of that, the two-page paper said the emphasis in youth sports (before children reach puberty) should be to push for as much participation as possible.

“Here, we believe the science is clearer that there is much less physical safety or competitive risk, or sporting advantage based on physiological sex characteristics,” the paper said.

The federation said it wanted to follow the science in determining the conditions under which transgender athletes can compete once they reach puberty, which triggers significant differences in testosterone production between biologically born males and females. It acknowledged that the “sport landscape may leave currently competing athletes feeling uncertain regarding potential shifts in their eligibility status.” (Read more from “US Olympic Committee Pushes ‘Open Categories’ for Transgender Athletes” HERE)

Transgender Swimmers Banned by Fina

Swimming’s world governing body, Fina, has voted to bar transgender women from elite female competitions if they have experienced any part of male puberty, in a seismic decision that sets it apart from most Olympic sports.

The decision, decided by 71% of the vote of 152 national federations at the world championships in Budapest, followed a report from a Fina scientific panel which found that trans women retained a significant advantage over cisgender female swimmers even after reducing their testosterone levels through medication. . .

Commenting on the policy the Fina president, Husain al-Musallam, said: “We have to protect the rights of our athletes to compete, but we also have to protect competitive fairness at our events, especially the women’s category at Fina competitions.” (Read more from “Transgender Swimmers Banned by Fina” HERE)

Here’s What Trump Thinks About Transgender Athletes (VIDEO)

In an interview this week, former President Donald Trump called out transgender athletes competing in women’s sports.

“How much do you think the cancel culture, woke debate, is now beginning to really damage the Democrats? And I’ll give you the example that’s been raging recently, this whole issue of transgender athletes in sport, for example. Women’s sport. Lia Thomas, the swimmer. I think it’s grotesquely unfair,” Morgan said.

“It is,” Trump agreed.

“You can support trans rights to equality and fairness, but also understand that what’s going on in sport is inherently unfair and unjust and unequal. Is that your position?” Morgan added.

“People see it and they won’t put up with it,” Trump responded. “They had a weight lifter where the record was, for 11 or 12 years, and they’d put a half-an-ounce on each side, the woman would lift – a guy comes along and breaks the record by numbers you would never –”

Biological Male Transgender Golfer Slams ‘Male-Bodied’ Athletes in Women’s Sports

A Danish transgender golfer, who is a biological male, said this week that allowing “male-bodied” individuals to compete in female sports is a “slap in the face to women.”

Golfer Mianne Bagger, who is 55, was the first transgender athlete in a professional gold tournament in the Women’s Australian Open. This week, on Australia’s “Insight” television show, Bagger said they now support a bill that will ban transgender athletes from female sporting events, according to the New York Post.

“If someone has gone through male puberty and competed in elite pro-level sport or Olympic level sport as a male, I think if they transition that should preclude them from competitive women’s sport,” Bagger said in the TV program.

Bagger told News.com.au that current laws allow “male-bodied people presenting as women, who live as women, with varying degrees of medical intervention and in some degrees, no medical intervention,” to compete in women’s sports.

“It’s crossed the line, in my view, it really has,” Bagger added. “It’s a slap in the face to women.” (Read more from “Biological Male Transgender Golfer Slams ‘Male-Bodied’ Athletes in Women’s Sports” HERE)

WATCH: Transgender Rugby Player Slams Female Athletes, Coach Says Three Injured

A high school rugby league is under fire after a transgender female athlete allegedly injured three biological female players during a Saturday match.

A biological male identifying and playing as a female on Guam High School’s rugby team injured three biological female players from Tiyan High School during Saturday’s season-opening match, according to Tiyan High School head coach Conrad Kerber.

The transgender athlete’s “body size, body strength … completely dominate any girl that I have on my team,” Kerber said, according to a report.

“The aggressive nature that was witnessed clearly showed that it’s a definite issue that we have to deal with,” he added. “I have three players that were injured in that first game against Guam High directly by that particular player.” (Read more from “WATCH: Transgender Rugby Player Slams Female Athletes, Coach Says Three Injured” HERE)

Arizona Lawmakers Vote To Restrict Biological Male Athletes In Women’s Sports

The Arizona Legislature passed two bills on Thursday targeted at transgender minors. The first bill prohibits gender reassignment surgery for individuals under 18 while the second bans biological male transgender athletes from playing on girls’ sports teams. GOP Governor Doug Ducey has not signaled whether or not he will support the pieces of legislation.

This week, as I covered, two Republican governors, Gov. Eric Holcomb of Indiana and Gov. Spencer Cox of Utah, vetoed bills barring biological male athletes from playing girls’ sports. This comes amid the controversy surrounding biological male swimmer William “Lia” Thomas competing against women at the NCAA championships and winning a race.

According to the Associated Press, about 16 transgender student-athletes in Arizona have recieved waivers to play on sports teams that align with their gender identity rather than their biological sex. Republican state Rep. Shawma Bolick told the AP that the bill prohibiting biological male transgender athletes from girls’ sports would promote fairness.

“This bill to me is all about biology,” Bolick said. She added that she played on a coed team in the 1980s but could not have made the high school boys team. “In my opinion, it’s unfair to allow biological males to compete with biological girls’ sports.” (Read more from “Arizona Lawmakers Vote To Restrict Biological Male Athletes In Women’s Sports” HERE)

Feminist Group Condemns NCAA For Ignoring Pleas Of Female Swimmers, Shielding Trans Swimmer

A feminist organization is condemning the NCAA for staying silent amid a national controversy over the inclusion of a biologically male athlete in the recent NCAA Women’s Swimming Championships.

“We are deeply disappointed by the NCAA’s promotion and celebration of a male athlete over the wellbeing of female athletes during the past few months,” Mahri Irvine, the executive director of the Women’s Liberation Front (WoLF), said in a Thursday afternoon statement to The Daily Wire. . .

“Lia Thomas has been portrayed by the NCAA as a woman who legitimately deserves to compete in women’s sports,” Irvine said. “However, nothing could be further from the truth.”

The WoLF executive director pointed to the fact that Thomas, who won the 500 freestyle last Thursday evening, tied for fifth in the 200 freestyle Friday evening, and placed eighth in the 100 freestyle, formerly raced with men for three years.

“Lia is a man who didn’t do particularly well in men’s swimming competitions,” Irvine said. “This man decided to say that he is a woman in order to gain access to women’s sports.” (Read more from “Feminist Group Condemns NCAA For Ignoring Pleas Of Female Swimmers, Shielding Trans Swimmer” HERE)

NCAA Swimmer Wants Rule Change After Missing Out on Finals to Transgender Athlete

A Virginia Tech swimmer blasted the NCAA over its rule allowing transgender women to compete against biological women after she came up short in a championship qualifying race that was dominated by University of Pennsylvania transgender swimmer Lia Thomas.

Reka Gyorgy leveled the criticism in a post to her private Instagram account after missing the cut on Thursday to compete in the finals of the 500 free at the NCAA Championships, Fox News reported.

“It doesn’t promote our sport in a good way and I think it is disrespectful against the biologically female swimmers who are competing in the NCAA,” Gyorgy said of the rule that has received considerable scrutiny since Thomas has smashed records in [his] first season competing at the collegiate level as a transgender woman.

Gyorgy also placed blame on Thomas for her failure to qualify. The Virginia Tech swimmer said she felt the last spot to get into the final was taken from her “because of the NCAA’s decision to let someone who is not a biological female compete.”

Thomas finished with a 4:33.82 in the preliminaries and ultimately took home the national women’s 500 free title when [he] won the finals race with a time of 4:33.24. (Read more from “NCAA Swimmer Wants Rule Change After Missing Out on Finals to Transgender Athlete” HERE)
