Married Mom Who Vanished Last Year Could Be Tied to Missing and Dead US Scientists: Report

A married mom who vanished last year may be tied to a string of mysterious deaths and disappearances of US scientists and military officials with access to potentially sensitive information, according to a report.

Melissa Casias, who worked with her husband as an administrative assistant at Los Alamos National Laboratory [LANL] — famous for developing nuclear weapons during the Manhattan Project — has not been seen since she dropped lunch off for her daughter in New Mexico last summer.

She is one of four high-clearance people who have died or gone missing since June 2025 with connections to UFO-linked retired Air Force Gen. William McCasland, who vanished last month, according to the Daily Mail.

Former FBI Assistant Director Chris Swecker told the Mail he is now worried that she is part of an alarming pattern, as her work as an assistant at LANL may have made her a target for kidnapping.

“In a classified lab, or just a high clearance lab, they would basically be in the know on what’s going on,” Swecker, who spent 24 years with the agency, said. “And it wouldn’t be the first time their administrative assistant has been targeted.” (Read more from “Married Mom Who Vanished Last Year Could Be Tied to Missing and Dead US Scientists: Report” HERE)

Chabad-Affiliated Jewish Group Complains about Messianic Jewish Chaplains in U.S. Armed Forces

For more than a century, U.S. military chaplains have worn insignia identifying their faith — a cross for Christians and tablets with a Star of David for Jews. Now Jewish chaplaincy groups are asking the Pentagon to intervene after chaplains from Messianic Judaism, a Christian movement that blends Jewish practices with belief in Jesus, began wearing the Jewish symbol. . .

In a view shared by many Jews, Aleph [a Chabad-affiliated organization that endorses Jewish chaplains for the U.S. military] suspects that the Messianic movement is a facade — a deceitful tactic aimed at proselytization.

“They have engaged in heavily deceptive behavior, all for the purpose of trapping unsuspecting Jews into the belief that Jesus is part of Jewish theology,” Aleph’s letter [to the Armed Forces Chaplains Board] said. “Due to persecution, forced conversion, and extreme tactics employed by many Christian countries over the millennia proselytization of Jews is considered an antisemitic tactic” . . .

Burling pointed to a San Diego rabbi, Yoram Dahan, as someone familiar with his Jewish learning and involvement in the community. But Dahan said that while Burling had studied Torah with him, he never understood Burling to be Jewish.

“[A Messianic Jewish chaplain] studied Torah with us and he was very serious about it. He loves Israel. But of course he is Christian,” [a San Diego rabbi] said. “If he says he is Jewish, it is not true and it’s not good. . . . The Messianics are a very dangerous group.” (Read more from “Chabad-Affiliated Jewish Group Complains about Messianic Jewish Chaplains in U.S. Armed Forces” HERE)

Trump Calls for $1.5 Trillion to Build ‘Dream Military,’ Pay Down Debt, Give Dividend to ‘Moderate Income Patriots’

President Donald Trump said the 2027 military budget should be increased to $1.5 trillion, pointing to national security needs and strong tariff revenues as reasons the higher amount is both necessary and achievable.

On Wednesday, President Donald Trump released a statement on Truth Social calling for an increase in the 2027 military budget, raising the target from $1 trillion to $1.5 trillion. He attributed the shift to “long and difficult negotiations with Senators, Congressmen, Secretaries, and other Political Representatives.” Trump remarked that the decision was made “for the Good of our Country, especially in these very troubled and dangerous times.”

The proposed increase, according to Trump, would support building what he referred to as the “Dream Military,” asserting that such a force would ensure the United States remains “SAFE and SECURE, regardless of foe.” He linked the feasibility of the higher budget figure to revenue generated from tariffs, claiming that “tremendous numbers” from tariff income had made the larger figure viable. “Because of Tariffs, and the tremendous Income that they bring, amounts being generated, that would have been unthinkable in the past … we are able to easily hit the $1.5 Trillion Dollar number,” Trump wrote. He added that this approach would also allow for “pay[ing] down Debt” and providing a “substantial Dividend to moderate income Patriots within our Country.”

Trump contrasted current tariff revenues with what he described as the lower expectations under “the Sleepy Joe Biden Administration, the Worst President in the History of our Country!”

This statement comes in the context of ongoing debates about defense spending under both the Biden and Trump administrations. Under President Joe Biden, the Department of Defense’s budgets have seen incremental increases — reaching $886 billion in the 2024 request — but have also faced criticism from Republicans who argue that inflation has effectively turned these increases into cuts. Trump Administration Cancels Army Program After Officer Participation Plummets

The Trump administration has officially scrapped the Army’s Command Assessment Program (CAP) — a leadership evaluation system that incorporated psychological testing, peer feedback, and behavioral analysis into the promotion process for senior officers — following years of declining participation and controversy within the ranks.

The decision marks a sharp break from the Army’s recent attempts to modernize its promotion pipeline by reducing bias and incorporating non-traditional metrics like emotional intelligence and cognitive capacity. CAP, introduced in 2020 and formally codified in early 2025 under former Army Secretary Christine Wormuth.

According to internal Army documents, the program used a range of psychometric tools to measure leadership traits such as self-awareness, conscientiousness, and emotional intelligence. Each year, approximately 2,000 senior officers were invited to undergo the assessments as part of the process to fill key command positions.

But the program struggled to gain traction. By 2024, more than half of eligible officers — 54% — declined to participate, up from 40% in 2019. Critics within the ranks argued the assessments were overly subjective, bureaucratic, and disconnected from actual field performance.

Army Secretary Dan Driscoll placed the program under review last month before officially pausing it. The Army will now revert to the Centralized Selection List (CSL) process, which evaluates candidates based on their service record, prior assignments, and evaluations from senior leaders — a more traditional method long favored by military brass.

The termination of CAP also aligns with a broader Defense Department review, ordered in June, to evaluate how officer promotions are conducted across all branches. The June 20 memo from the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness called for a return to selection methods that emphasize proven performance and experience over experimental assessment tools.

With CAP now shelved, the Army will re-center its leadership selection process around the CSL system. Proponents argue this will restore confidence and objectivity to promotions.

U.S. Navy Commander Now Investigated for Exposing ‘Unconstitutional and Illegal Actions by Military Leadership’ during Covid-Shot Mandates

One of the U.S. military’s most high-profile and respected whistleblowers, active-duty Navy Commander Robert A. Green, Jr., says his chain of command has informed him that he is, as of July 8, “under investigation for publicly calling out the unconstitutional and illegal actions by military leadership during the COVID-19 mandates.” He made the announcement in an X post the following day:

“For 4 years I have been using the same language and the same demand for accountability that I continue to use on this platform,” posted Green.

“My leadership does not like that I have used the words ‘domestic enemies of the Constitution’ to describe many of them for their actions during the mandates. But where were they when thousands of us notified them about the laws they were breaking?” He added: “There is a clear line drawn between service members who will defend the Constitution, and Admirals & Generals who violate constitutional rights with impunity.”

Former service members are reacting strongly, clearly disturbed by the news. WorldNetDaily spoke to one such individual, Dr. Chase Spears, a retired U.S. Army public affairs officer.  When Green published his book, “Defending the Constitution behind Enemy Lines,” in July 2023, Spears quickly took notice. Having been a writer himself while serving in the Army and knowing the challenges that come with a hostile chain of command, he admired Green’s “direct approach.”

Sheriff Warns Locals in Manhunt for Suspected Killer Dad

A Washington state survivalist has been on the run from authorities for nearly a week after allegedly killing his three young daughters, who were found with plastic bags over their heads and bound wrists at a campground in Chelan County Monday.

Travis Caleb Decker, 32, did not have custody of the girls – all of whom are believed to have died from asphyxiation. Decker spent time in the military and is an avid outdoorsman, according to authorities.

“We’re getting more confirmation, that he might have possibly gone through Mountain Survival School,” Chelan County Sheriff Mike Morrison told reporters Wednesday. “But we also know, too, that he’s been an outdoorsman since he was a kid.”

On Thursday, he released a new photo showing Decker’s tattoos and said search warrants had generated leads. He urged homeowners and people with mountain cabins to lock their doors – including to sheds and outbuildings, leave their blinds open and turn on outdoor lighting.

The children were ages 5, 8 and 9, and Decker’s ex-wife Whitney Decker, 35, told police Monday that he had failed to bring the girls back to her after a Friday visit under the terms of their court-ordered parenting plan, according to court documents. Army Hits Recruiting Goal of 61,000 Soldiers 4 Months Early

The Army has met its fiscal 2025 recruiting goal four months early, signing 61,000 contracts for new active duty soldiers, officials announced Tuesday.

“This achievement represents a significant turning point for the Army and indicates a renewed sense of patriotism and purpose among America’s youth,” the Army said in a release.

The goal was 10% higher than the 55,000 recruits the Army sought last year. Average contracts per day exceeded last year’s levels by as much as 56% during the same period, according to the release.

“I’m incredibly proud of our U.S. Army recruiters and drill sergeants,” said Army Secretary Dan Driscoll. “Their colossal efforts and dedication to duty helped the U.S. Army accomplish our FY25 annual recruiting goal a full four months ahead of schedule.”

Last year marked the first time the Army had reached its recruiting goals in two years. (Read more from “Army Hits Recruiting Goal of 61,000 Soldiers 4 Months Early” HERE)

Military Finds Physical Reality Shatters DEI-Fueled Theories About The Sexes

Ten years have passed since the Department of Defense initiated a social experiment with women in the military. Pentagon officials promised that female trainees headed for previously all-male combat arms units would have to meet the exact same standards as men. Has the experiment played out as promised?

We are about to find out. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth’s March 30 memorandum calls for a 60-day review to achieve high, uncompromised standards in combat arms units such as the infantry, special operations, and other occupations with extraordinary physical demands.

Thanks to a series of executive orders that President Donald Trump has issued since January, Hegseth’s six-month implementation period should proceed without equivocation or distractions related to percentage-based diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) quotas. Wrote Hegseth, “[I]t is essential to identify which positions require heightened entry-level and sustained physical fitness.”

An honest review of contemporary policies regarding women in the military should reflect sound priorities unrelated to DEI. Career opportunities are important, but if there is a conflict, the needs of the military must come first.

Direct Ground Combat Goes Beyond ‘In Harm’s Way’

As the Center for Military Readiness stated in this CMR policy analysis, implementation of Hegseth’s order must begin with clear definitions of terms, starting with “direct ground combat” (DGC). Direct ground combat arms units such as the infantry, armor, artillery, and special forces in all branches of the service are trained to seek out and attack the enemy with deliberate offensive action.

Physical demands in DGC units typically are greater than those in units and military occupational specialties (MOSs) that serve “in harm’s way” in war zones. Men and women serving in such roles are at risk of contingent or incident-related combat, and those who come under fire are trained to fight back and return to base. Their mission, however, is not to seek out and engage the enemy with deliberate offensive action. (Read more from “Military Finds Physical Reality Shatters DEI-Fueled Theories About The Sexes” HERE)

U.S. Military Veterans Slam DOD Demand Forcing Them to Lie to Get Reinstated

Conservative military veterans are sounding the alarm over a new Department of Defense reinstatement form that they say whitewashes the truth about their forced separations during the COVID-19 vaccine mandate era.

Veterans who once wore the uniform with honor are now being told that if they want back in, they must lie on paper and pretend they left the military of their own free will.

The Department of Defense has released updated guidance officially inviting back thousands of service members who were involuntarily separated for refusing to comply with the now-defunct COVID-19 vaccine mandate.

The move comes under Executive Order 14184, signed by President Donald Trump on January 27, 2025, and implemented by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth.

The order compels the Pentagon to offer reinstatement to any military personnel—active or reserve—who were forced out solely for refusing the COVID shot. (Read more from “U.S. Military Veterans Slam DOD Demand Forcing Them to Lie to Get Reinstated” HERE)

4 U.S. Soldiers Killed After They Went Missing on Training Mission in Lithuania Just Miles From the Border

Four US Army members have died in Lithuania after they disappeared on a training site while on maneuvers just miles from the border, NATO’s Secretary-General Mark Rutte said Wednesday.

The four soldiers from the 1st Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, based out of Fort Stewart, Georgia, were last seen alive on Tuesday riding an armored vehicle during tactical training exercises at a military site near the city of Pabrade, in eastern Lithuania.

The area is about six miles from the border with Belarus — a staunch Russian ally, Army officials said.

Rutte said he had received word of the deaths of the four soldiers and extended his thoughts and prayers to their families and the United States.

“This is still early news so we do not know the details,” he told reporters while on a visit to Poland’s capital, Warsaw. “This is really terrible news and our thoughts are with the families and loved ones.” (Read more from “4 U.S. Soldiers Killed After They Went Missing on Training Mission in Lithuania Just Miles From the Border” HERE)
