USAID, State Failed To Monitor NGOs To Ensure They Weren’t Funding Taliban, IG Says

A government inspector general on Wednesday sounded the alarm about problems with the now-shuttered U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and underscored how “non-government organizations” receive billions of dollars from the United States in corruption-prone regions with limited accountability.

The Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction said in a new report that “since the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan in August 2021, the U.S. government has spent billions of U.S. taxpayer funds on projects intended to provide for Afghans’ basic needs.”

The report said the State Department and USAID have turned to Public International Organizations, its term for NGOs, “as the primary means of delivering this aid,” but “have been inconsistent in their efforts to formally require PIOs to agree to U.S. government oversight on how funding is spent and whether projects are delivering intended results” rather than being “diverted to the Taliban.”

For example, the USAID Mission to Afghanistan’s standard contract with NGOs did not require them to permit American officials to visit to see what they were actually doing. (Read more from “USAID, State Failed To Monitor NGOs To Ensure They Weren’t Funding Taliban, IG Says” HERE)

USAID-Linked Ukrainian Group Smears Vance, Massie

A London-based Ukrainian intelligence group linked to the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) labelled American politicians as “foreign propagandists,” falsely accusing them of Russian loyalty.

The group, Molfar, created an online blacklist including Vice President JD Vance, Republican Kentucky Rep. Thomas Massie, U.S. Counterterrorism Director Joe Kent and others. The list claims these officials are “external agents of Russia,” demanding their removal from public positions and investigations into their “personal involvement in crimes.” and calling for sanctions against them.

“Instead of mentioning famous names of internal Russian propagandists, we focused on the personalities of external agents of Russia,” Molfar’s website reads. “Foreign propagandists of the Russian Federation repeat the theses of Kremlin leadership, justify Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine, call for the lifting of Western sanctions against the Russian Federation and convince the world that the annexation of the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine is legitimate.”

The website presents tweets from Vance describing Ukrainian NATO membership as “irresponsible” and Massie’s characterization of Ukrainian aid as wasteful as supposed “evidence” that these politicians serve as Russian “propagandists.” (Read more from ”

Molfar, founded in 2014 following Ukraine’s Western-backed Maidan uprising, describes itself as an open-source intelligence (OSINT) firm dedicated to countering “Russian disinformation” and identifying “enemies of Ukraine.” While it claims to focus on tracking alleged war criminals, its activities have expanded to include doxxing journalists and compiling blacklists of foreign politicians. Molfar lists USAID as a “partner” on its website as of Tuesday. (Read more from “USAID-Linked Ukrainian Group Smears Vance, Massie” HERE)

USAID Blew Hundreds Of Thousands In Taxpayer Slush Funds On Ukrainian ‘Pickle Maker,’ Pet Accessories

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) spent millions of American taxpayer dollars propping up pet projects like dog collar manufacturing and pickle making in Ukraine and then spent months stonewalling members of Congress about that spending, according to findings obtained by The Federalist.

Sen. Joni Ernst’s staff uncovered the secret slush funds when, after months of enduring the agency’s excuses to justify its resistance to oversight, they were finally permitted access to “very limited data.” In October 2024, as Ernst has since detailed, the senator’s staff visited USAID headquarters in person for an “in-camera review” of Ukraine assistance data even though, her team discovered, the documents were not classified.

Even though they were heavily restricted during their investigation, Ernst’s team discovered a variety of U.S. taxpayer-funded grants funneled to Ukrainian businesses under the guise of both Competitive Economy Program (CEP) and Investment for Business Resilience funds.

Among the grants Ernst’s staff discovered were hundreds of thousands of dollars devoted to literal pet projects including approximately $300,000 to a “pet tracking app,” approximately $300,000 to a “dog collar manufacturer,” and approximately another $109,000 to a “pet food packaging producer,” according to a findings breakdown Ernst’s office sent to The Federalist.

Fashionistas also benefitted from the taxpayer-funded expenditures with a women’s clothing company, a fashion photographer, a “purveyor of contemporary knitwear,” a “luxury bridal brand,” a “marketplace for designer artisanal pieces,” and even a “trade mission for a fashion design house,” raking in approximately $733,000 combined. USAID In Egypt Had Me Detained For Walking In And Asking If It’s Following Trump’s Orders

For some years now, I have been tracking globalist initiatives at both ends: at the point where the ideological rounds are chambered and downrange where they affect the lives of millions as public policies. This has taken me from places like Davos, Switzerland, where the World Economic Forum meets annually, to cartel towns in Colombia where illegal aliens board Zodiacs bound for the Darién Gap and thousands of them simply disappear.

I’ve also been tracking how USAID, the United States Agency for International Development, via a series of NGOs, has been running what amounts to a massive human trafficking operation across South America, through Central America, and straight up through our borders. President Trump is working to hold accountable those responsible, but there is so much more to the global workings of this clandestine government agency.

I recently traveled from Davos to the ancient city on the Nile. With USAID’s nefarious activities dominating the news, I decided to visit its Cairo office to see how it was responding to Trump’s recent order slashing USAID activities.

To call USAID Egypt an office is misleading. It is a military-style compound.

My Egyptian driver, Mohamed, and I approached the boom gate where security guards stood in a small guardhouse of the type you see all over the world. They raised the gate arm and waved us through. (I’ve found that the key to entering government buildings, much like the World Economic Forum, is simply to walk in as if I own the place. More often than you might think, security just steps aside.) Politico Misses Payment to Workers, Raises Suspicion That CIA’s USAID Paid It Without Disclosure

Many are wondering if Politico has received money from the United States Agency for International Development after the publication reportedly was unable to pay its employees as the Trump administration began to close the agency.

Politico was unable to pay workers but sent out an email blaming a glitch in its vendor systems. Critics pounced on the news to accuse the outlet of losing funding after President Donald Trump took over USAID and shut down its funding.

Politico has reportedly not disclosed payments from USAID or any other government entity, and it would be a major scandal if it had received funding and not disclosed it. . .

“Due to what we believe to be a technical error, employees did not receive their paychecks as scheduled. We understand the urgency of this matter and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience,” the email read.

“Our team is working diligently with our systems vendors and the bank to identify the root cause and implement a solution as quickly as possible,” the company added. “We will keep you updated as we learn more and work to resolve the problem as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.” (Read more from “Politico Misses Payment to Workers, Raises Suspicion That CIA’s USAID Paid It Without Disclosure” HERE)
