Vivek Ramaswamy Is Out at DOGE

Many saw this break-up coming, though I’m not sure they expected it to happen so soon. Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy were supposed to be co-leads to head the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). Given their profiles, both men were likely never to work together for long.

Yet, it sounds like Vivek won’t be part of the DOGE revolution, reportedly rubbing the rank-and-file the wrong way and unwilling to do the heavy lifting behind the scenes. Hence, why Donald Trump and others have been trying to create new opportunities for him, like pressing Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine to name him to fill JD Vance’s empty Senate seat (via CBS News):

Vivek Ramaswamy, President-elect Donald Trump’s choice to co-lead the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) with entrepreneur Elon Musk, is expected to soon step away from the task force, CBS News has learned. Ramaswamy intends to announce a campaign for Ohio governor as soon as the end of January, multiple sources confirmed to CBS News.

Ramaswamy, 39, had no comment.

People close to Musk have privately undercut Ramaswamy for weeks, frustrated with his lack of participation in the heavy lifting, according to sources familiar with the internal dynamics. There has been friction between the incoming rank and file DOGE staff and Ramaswamy, the sources said, and Ramaswamy has been subtly encouraged to exit.

Poll Reveals Which Vice President Pick Most Helps Trump With Voters

A recent poll found that voters say they would be more likely to support former President Donald Trump if Republican South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott is on the ticket in 2024.

Scott leads the field of possible vice presidential contenders, including former Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, Republican Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, Republican Rep. Elise Stefanik of New York and former independent Rep. Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii, according to a recent Harvard-Harris Poll. Scott drew 25% among voters who said they were more likely to vote for Trump if he was on the ballot, followed by 23% for Ramaswamy and 22% for Rubio.

Stefanik polled the lowest across all voters with only 13% reporting they would likely vote for a Trump-Stefanik ticket, while Gabbard received 19% support. Also mentioned as possible picks to be Trump’s running mate includes Republican Gov. Kristi Noem of South Dakota, who received 16% support of those surveyed, and Republican Gov. Doug Burgum was favored by 15% of those polled.

Trump previously named Scott as a potential vice presidential pick on a Fox News town hall in February. Republican Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio and Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis of Florida have also been mentioned as possible selections, but their possible candidacies were not surveyed in this portion of the poll. Leaked Pitch Reveals Plot by Former Vivek Staffer to Use MAGA Influencers Against Trump, for RFK

A former communications staffer for Vivek Ramaswamy’s 2024 presidential campaign has been trying to leverage pro-Trump and conservative figures to boost content in favor of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is running against former President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden for the White House, according to a leaked pitch deck obtained exclusively by the Daily Caller.

Zach Henry, who worked as the Deputy Communications Director for Ramaswamy’s campaign, has since started his own firm, Total Virality, and is taking money from the Kennedy campaign. According to FEC reports, RFK Jr.’s campaign paid Total Virality nearly $8,000 in March for “influencer engagement.”

The pitch deck obtained by the Daily Caller shows that Henry was touting his work with RFK alongside screenshots of prominent conservative twitter users.

“RFK’s team contracted Total Virality to help boost his SOTU video. The original agreed upon goal was 4M views (this would have made it the third-highest viewed video ever posted by RFK on the platform),” slide three of the deck says. “We delivered 6M views in the first 24 hours leveraging a custom list of influencers – many of whom were already in our network as well as others we added specifically to this project. It is now RFK’s most-viewed video ever on X.”

The same slide includes screenshots of various prominent Twitter users sharing Kennedy’s State of the Union response video, including avowed Trump supporters and other conservative figures like Scott Adams, Alex Jones, Oli London, Ian Miles Cheong and Joey Mannarino, among others. WATCH: Vivek at Trump Event: 45th President Will ‘Shut Down That Deep State’

Entrepreneur and former 2024 Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy declared former President Donald Trump would “shut down the deep state” if elected back into the White House while speaking at a Trump campaign event in New Hampshire.

Ramaswamy’s appearance at the Atkinson, New Hampshire, event Tuesday evening comes the day after he dropped out of the presidential race and endorsed Trump following the 45th president’s record-breaking victory in the Iowa Caucuses Monday.

In a video streamed to Rumble by Rightside Broadcasting, the 38-year-old Ramaswamy said, in his impassioned populist pitch on behalf of Trump, that the nation is in “a war” that is “between the permanent state and the everyday citizen.” He said the country needs “a commander in chief who will lead us to victory in this war.”

After corralling roughly eight percent of the vote in Iowa, Ramaswamy said Tueaday, “The people of Iowa spoke loud and clear”

“We heard ‘We the People’ last night, and that is why last evening I met my friend here. We met in person, and I told him that I would endorse Donald J. Trump for President of the United States,” Ramaswamy said. (Read more from “Vivek at Trump Event: 45th President Will ‘Shut Down That Deep State’” HERE)

Trump Triumphs in Iowa: Kickstarting 2024 GOP Nominating Process With a Resounding Victory

The 2024 GOP presidential nominating process kicked off with a bang as the Iowa caucuses witnessed former President Donald Trump making a formidable return to the political arena. Trump aims to secure the greatest comeback in modern political history, eyeing a return to the Oval Office while facing “challenges” from Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley.

As the results unfolded, Vivek Ramaswamy dropped out of the race, throwing his support behind Trump. DeSantis, addressing supporters in West Des Moines, acknowledged the onslaught of attacks against his campaign, referencing millions in attack ads and expressing discontent over premature election calls.

Despite DeSantis’ determination to continue his campaign, Haley’s uninspiring third-place finish hinted at a challenging road ahead. She aimed to reshape the race into a “two-person race” with Trump and announced plans to head to New Hampshire.

With 93 percent reporting, Trump maintained a commanding lead with 50.9 percent support, positioning himself for a majority finish. DeSantis seemed likely to secure second place, leaving Haley in a distant third—a discouraging outcome for those attempting to thwart Trump’s path to the GOP nomination.

In his victory speech, Trump pledged to seal the border, prioritize drilling for oil and natural gas to boost U.S. energy, and called for national unity to address global challenges. Despite a push for unity, Trump congratulated both DeSantis and Haley, emphasizing the uncertainty surrounding the outcome of the second-place finish.

DeSantis ally Ben Shapiro of the Daily Wire declared Trump’s blowout victory as a clear indication that he is destined to be the GOP nominee for president in 2024. South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem, a Trump endorser, echoed the sentiment, urging Haley and DeSantis to suspend their campaigns, unite behind Trump, and focus on defeating Joe Biden in the upcoming election.

“Iowa spoke loud and clear. President Trump has won overwhelmingly tonight,” Noem stated, emphasizing the need for Republican unity to reclaim the country. The resounding victory in Iowa sets the stage for a highly anticipated and competitive 2024 GOP nomination process, with Trump emerging as a formidable force within the party.

‘Not MAGA’: Donald Trump Directly Attacks Vivek Ramaswamy (VIDEO)

Republican frontrunner Donald Trump directly attacked GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy Saturday evening on social media.

Trump directly trashed Ramaswamy for the first time in a Truth Social post, stating that the Republican hopeful is “not MAGA.”

“Vivek started his campaign as a great supporter, ‘the best President in generations,’ etc. Unfortunately, now all he does is disguise his support in the form of deceitful campaign tricks,” Trump wrote. “Very sly, but a vote for Vivek is a vote for the ‘other side’ — don’t get duped by this.”

“Vote for ‘TRUMP,’ don’t waste your vote! Vivek is not MAGA,” Trump wrote. “The Biden indictments against his Political Opponent will never be allowed in this Country, they are already beginning to fall! MAGA!!!” . . .

Ramaswamy responded to Trump’s attack Saturday evening in a video posted on X. He urged supporters to “open your eyes” to the uphill battle Trump faces, writing that “this system will stop at nothing to keep this man away from the White House.”

Vivek Ramaswamy Tells Tucker ‘The System’ Wants Nikki Haley as President to Keep ‘War Machine Humming’

Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy told Daily Caller co-founder Tucker Carlson on Wednesday fellow candidate Nikki Haley is who the “bipartisan system” wants to keep the “war machine humming.”

Ramaswamy appeared on “Tucker Carlson Uncensored” to discuss his run for the upcoming 2024 GOP primary elections. Carlson had asked the GOP presidential candidate what he’s “noticed” regarding the “subtext” of the 2024 race.

Ramaswamy stated the “real puppet” is Haley, claiming the GOP was part of “paying to keep” former President Donald Trump “off of the ballot.”

“I think what’s become clear to me now — I’m in the thick of this GOP primary, is that the real puppet they’re trotting out isn’t Gavin Newsom. It isn’t Michelle Obama. I was wrong about that, actually,” Ramaswamy stated.

“They found a much more convenient puppet within the Republican Party itself. It’s not Gavin. It’s not Michelle. It’s Nikki, actually. And I think that if you just follow exactly who are the very people who are paying to keep Donald Trump off the ballot or funding the lawsuits that keep Trump off the ballot …” Ramaswamy said.

DeSantis, Ramaswamy Respond To Haley’s Remarks On Slavery And The Civil War

Two Republican presidential candidates criticized former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley on Thursday for remarks that she made this week about slavery and the Civil War.

Haley, who is also running for president, faced backlash Wednesday night after she answered a voter’s question on the cause of the Civil War without mentioning slavery.

“Well, don’t come with an easy question, right?” Haley said. “I think the cause of the Civil War was basically how government was going to run. The freedoms and what people could and couldn’t do.” . . .

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis responded to Haley’s “incomprehensible word salad” while on the campaign trail in Iowa, saying that it showed she “is not a candidate that’s ready for primetime.”

Entrepreneur Vivek Ramaswamy responded to Haley’s remarks in a series of posts on X, writing: “The shocking part isn’t that Nikki failed to mention slavery. It’s that she failed to mention the 10th amendment. When you try to be everything to everyone, you’re nothing to anyone. A perfect puppet for the corrupt establishment.”

David Axelrod Makes Bold Prediction About Future of Ramaswamy Campaign

We are just under three weeks away from the Iowa Republican caucus, the first nominating contest in the country. Former and potentially future President Donald Trump has a historic lead in the polls, though he’s still facing four other candidates. The latest move from Vivek Ramaswamy has some, including Democratic strategist David Axelrod, wondering if he’ll even make it to Iowa, or will instead drop out to endorse Trump. . .

NBC notes that Ramaswamy was spending more than $200,000 in the first full week of December, but spent $6,000 on ads, all on TV, citing figures from AdImpact. The report also began by mentioning that Ramaswamy “does not have any TV ad reservations booked.”

According to Tricia McLaughlin, who serves as the campaign press secretary, the campaign is still spending on ads, but not on TV. As she explained it, they’re looking to best reach voters they’ve identified, with McLaughlin also noting the move is intentional:

Ramaswamy’s campaign says it is still spending money on ads, just not on TV.

“We are focused on bringing out the voters we’ve identified — best way to reach them is using addressable advertising, mail, text, live calls and doors to communicate with our voters on Vivek’s vision for America, making their plan to caucus and turning them out,” Tricia McLaughlin, the campaign’s press secretary told NBC News.

Ron DeSantis Says He Will Not Follow Ramaswamy’s Lead and Withdraw His Name From Colorado Ballot

Republican presidential candidate Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) said he will not follow fellow candidate Vivek Ramaswamy’s lead and voluntarily withdraw his name from the ballot in Colorado in protest of former President Donald Trump’s name being taken off the ballot.

In an interview on Newsmax, Ron DeSantis was asked if he would do the same.

He responded:

No, I think that’s just playing into the left. I think the case will get overturned by the Supreme Court, but I’ve qualified for all the ballots, I’m competing in all the states, and I’m going to accumulate the delegates necessary. That’s the whole name of the game in this situation, but I do anticipate that decision was political and will get reversed.
