Conservatives Mustn’t Let Media Pick The Candidate
Leaving aside the televised, overly scripted, predictable and marginally useful “debates” now taking place between the Republican candidates for president, there are much more important discussions going on between conservatives and independents who are unified in their belief that for the good of the nation, Barack Obama must be defeated.
Those discussions — taking place across kitchen tables, in lunchrooms, or in neighborhood bars after a week of hard work — are trying to determine which path to follow in the approaching political fork in the road.
One of those paths will most likely lead to the defeat of Mr. Obama. The other could very well ensure his re-election.
It is critical for Republicans, conservatives, and independents to remember that from the 2008 GOP field, John McCain had the stamp of approval from the mainstream media.
In fact, the liberal media worked overtime to resurrect his then all but comatose campaign. Why?

Thought it couldn’t get any worse than Solyndra?
President Obama’s nominee for Commerce secretary served as chairman of the board of a solar energy company that recently received a $1.37 billion federal loan guarantee – the largest the Department of Energy has ever given for a solar power project.
Now that company, BrightSource Energy, is attempting to build the world’s largest solar power plant amid concerns such ventures may be too risky an investment for the federal government.
In June, BrightSource Chairman John Bryson was nominated by Obama to head the Commerce Department.
WND reported in June that Bryson co-founded an environmental activist group that is a member and funder of the controversial Apollo Alliance.
Apollo is run by a slew of socialists and radicals, including Jeff Jones, a founder of the Weather Underground domestic terrorist organization. Jones himself boasts of doing work for the environmental group founded by Bryson, the Natural Resources Defense Council.

By Victoria Jackson (WND): I was dying to ask Joe Miller about the ridiculously “fishy” 2010 Alaskan Senate election. Driving from a Juneau tea party held in an empty room in a rundown mall, back to our WND Celebrity cruise ship, Joe, his beautiful wife, Kathleen, and our beautiful volunteer driver, homeschool mom/tea-party activist Barbara, were kind enough to oblige me.
“Miller ran on the tea-party platform of reduced taxes and government, opposition to abortion, repeal of the health-care law passed by the Democrats in 2010, and restriction of federal earmarks for local projects.”
Sounds like my kind of candidate. And, listen to his resume: Joe is an attorney, a U.S. magistrate judge, a faithful husband and father of eight, a 1997 graduate of Yale Law School, a combat veteran of the 1991 Gulf War and a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point where he received his bachelor’s degree in political science with honors, and where he was a member of the Officer’s Christian Fellowship, an organization that seeks to “develop career-long ‘ambassadors for Christ in uniform.'” Wow.
Joe Miller, please be the president.
“[T]o ensure voter confidence in the election process and transparency,” Joe Miller “filed two state court and one federal lawsuit and later one state supreme court appeal, claiming constitutional violations of equal protection, the election clause of the U.S. Constitution and voter fraud as well as violations of the state election statute.” Thank you, Joe.
I witnessed voter fraud at the Miami Shores Recreation Center in 2010. I went to vote with my elderly mom and dad. Mom (hard of hearing) said to my Dad (hard of hearing) loudly, “Oh! The last time we were at this polling place was when we voted for Reagan, right Jim?!” The poll volunteer glanced at us coldly and then spent 30 minutes looking for my name and address and handed me a form for the wrong district. When I corrected her, got the right ballot, and filled it out, she took it from me as if she were going to place it in the box herself (or not). I asked her if I could please place it in the ballot box myself. She made a face at me. I refused to leave until I could see her actually place it in the ballot box. I reported her to the poll supervisor.

Murkowski’s cover-up begins to unravel; top fisheries aide’s crewmate on the record with APRN
Murkowski has stated that she didn’t know until December 2010 that her top fisheries aide had committed multiple criminal acts years before. But everyone else apparently knew. NOAA Chief Lubchenco refused comment when asked directly whether she told Murkowski in 2009
By APRN (9/26/11): When Senator Murkowski’s fisheries aide pulled out from consideration for an influential job in the Obama Administration two years ago, he said it was because the process was taking too long. It turns out Arne Fuglvog was under investigation by the very agency he would have run.
Fuglvog pleaded guilty last month to breaking commercial fishing law before joining Murkowki’s staff. His admission shook the commercial fishing industry in Alaska, where Fuglvog had served on influential councils.
Now, former crew members are coming forward saying they tried to turn Fuglvog in to authorities for years, and felt like they were ignored.

Head of the IMF warns that it needs billions more from member nations
By the Telegraph (9/26/11): The head of the IMF has warned that its $384bn (£248bn) war chest designed as an emergency bail-out fund is inadequate to deliver the scale of the support required by troubled states.
In a document distributed to the IMF steering committee at the weekend, Ms Lagarde said: “The fund’s credibility, and hence effectiveness, rests on its perceived capacity to cope with worst-casescenarios. Our lending capacity of almost $400bn looks comfortable today, but pales in comparison with the potential financing needs of vulnerable countries and crisis bystanders.”
The suggestion came after European officials revealed they were working on a radical plan to boost their own bail-out fund, the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF), from €440bn (£384bn) to around €3 trillion.
The plan to increase the EFSF firepower is the crucial part of a three-pronged strategy being designed by German and French authorities to stop the eurozone’s debt crisis spiralling out of control. It also includes a large-scale recapitalisation of European banks and a plan for an “orderly” Greek default.
Although Britain is not involved in the large-scale eurozone bail-out projects, it is liable for 4.5pc of IMF funding.
The plan, which would aim to build a “firebreak” around the indebted eurozone countries, emerged at the IMF annual meeting in Washington where global leaders united to demand urgent action from European politicians.
Despite the developments, traders warned that the failure of politicians to agree a solid rescue plan would result in more turbulence on global stock markets.

Palestinian statehood is the road to evil paved with dead Jews and Christians
If you doubt that a Palestinian state would be a major step toward the Islamist dream of wiping Israel off the face of the earth please read no further as you are hopelessly lost in a liberal Fantasy World.
The facts say otherwise. The facts say a sizable number of the world’s 1.2 billion Muslims harbor deeply held intentions to give their lives if necessary to kill Jews Christians and anyone else who refuses to convert to Islam or live as a pious Muslim if born into Islam.
In a sane and honest United Nations the question of recognizing Palestine as a member state would be rejected without further consideration. But such is not the case. The UN is a circus of lowlifes who couldn’t get a real job without the political connections that bring them to the brothel on 1st Avenue.
The issue of Palestinian statehood brings to mind the old movie line “The greatest trick the devil ever did was convince you he doesn’t exist.”
We can not let these evil people have their way, now or ever.

Obama’s Anti-Drilling Policies Stifle Job Recovery
President Obama is clearly an anti-energy activist. He has placed the Environmental Protection Agency under the authority of Lisa Jackson, a regulatory zealot – and is doing everything in his power to destroy America’s energy industry.
One of Obama’s anti-energy tactics is to block or lengthen the time it takes to get approval for an oil lease in the Gulf of Mexico. Oil is the lifeblood of the American economy – that’s why Obama has targeted it.
Back in July, the House Oversight Committee released a report on Obama’s effective destruction of oil drilling jobs.
House Committee Chairman Darrell Issa (R-CA) noted:
“The Obama Administration has systematically blocked domestic energy production in the Gulf of Mexico, and today’s report puts that action in stark terms. It documents a 250 percent increase in the deepwater exploration permit backlog with a decrease of nearly 80 percent for plan approvals and deepwater drilling. That means a loss of $9 billion dollars in capital investment in 2011, along with a projected loss to the government of $25 billion in royalties and tax payments over the next 3 years, to say nothing of the tens of thousands of jobs lost.
“Our domestic energy resources are the largest in the world. Tapping these resources will create more than 500,000 jobs in the next three years, grow the economy and put us on the path to recovery.”
