A Border Patrol agent claims that the federal government is allowing murderers from Central America to be released into the U.S.

Speaking to Fox News on Wednesday, agent Chris Cabrera stated that these teenage gang members crossing the border are being released to family members in the U.S.

“If they have family in the United States, they’ll release them to the family, even if they’re admitted gang members,” Cabrera explained to Fox News. “We’ve had a couple that had admitted to murders in their home country. They were 17 years old, 16 years old, and the United States government thought it fit to release them to their parents here in the United States.

“Even if he’s a confirmed gang member, a confirmed criminal even by self-admission, we for some reason don’t send them back to their home country, we release them into our country.”

Cabrera blamed these alleged gang members and murderers being released due to a “loophole.”

Immigrant Mayor Defends His Town Against Illegal Flood: ‘We Are Going To Stand For Our Rights’

By Brendan Bordelon.

Escondido, California mayor Sam Abed — himself a Lebanese immigrant — railed against a lawsuit contending that his city violated the rights of illegal immigrants by refusing to build them housing, declaring the ACLU is “targeting our city” and “we are going to stand for our rights.”

Last month, city planners in the 150,000-person city north of San Diego rejected a plan to build housing for illegal immigrants, which are overcrowding federal detention centers along the border.

Last week, the ACLU appealed that decision to the entire city council, setting off a local firestorm and making one mayor very, very angry.

“We embrace immigration,” Abed told Fox News’ Neil Cavuto. “I am a proud immigrant coming to this country because of the liberty and the freedom. But the ACLU is [over]stepping their boundaries to interfere with local government.”

“We have two issues here,” he continued,” the issue of the detention facility which the planning commission has denied based on land-use issues. Now the ACLU is dragging this issue to immigration.”

‘I will not rest until these worthless pieces of s**t are dead’: Anguished vow of mother who watched two illegal immigrants – who had been deported SIX times before – gun down her off-duty Border Patrol son

By WILL PAYNE.

A mother who watched her cop son gunned down in front of her, his wife and his children allegedly at the hands of two illegal immigrants has vowed not to rest until his ‘worthless piece of s**t’ killers are dead.’

Heartbroken Marie Vega was on a family fishing trip with her husband Javier, son Javier Jr., his wife Paola and their three children when they were ambushed by two armed Mexican illegal immigrants who have been deported SIX times before in total.

Javier Jr and his father bravely tried to fight them off, but the off-duty Border Patrol Agent was fatally shot in the chest and Javier Sr was blasted in the hip.

Mexican nationals Gustavo Tijernia, 30 and Ismael Hernandez, 40 fled the scene and were arrested hours later after a huge man hunt.

The ruthless killing has again highlighted the border crisis plaguing the Obama administration which is struggling to contain a huge wave of illegal immigration across the border with Mexico which has stretched authorities to breaking point this year.

The Jaw-Dropping Cost of a Bandaged Finger Exposes the Issues ObamaCare Isn’t Fixing

Obamacare was touted as a way to make healthcare affordable for every American. In reality, it has not done that and, through excessive regulations, has instead driven up costs and made the problem worse for many.

Despite Obamacare, healthcare in the U.S. remains expensive. Take, for example, what one man was charged more than $8,000 for. NBC 4 New York reports:

Last August, Baer Hanusz-Rajkowski, of Bayonne, accidentally cut his finger with the claw-end of a hammer. He says he waited a few days for it to heal but the cut didn’t seem to be closing, so he went to the Bayonne Medical Center emergency room to ask whether he should get stitches.

The nurse practitioner determined no stitches were necessary, he says. There was no X-ray either.

“I say to America that the Islamic Caliphate has been established,” Abu Mosa, a spokesman for the terror group known as the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS), told VICE Media in a video interview posted online Thursday. “Don’t be cowards and attack us with drones. Instead send your soldiers, the ones we humiliated in Iraq.”

“We will humiliate them everywhere, God willing, and we will raise the flag of Allah in the White House,” he added.

The video is the first of a multipart series on ISIS VICE Media says it plans to release. VICE Media reporter Medyan Dairieh recently spent three weeks in the ISIS-controlled Syrian city of Raqqa, which the terror group has proclaimed the capital of their newly declared Islamic caliphate.

By Fox News.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has raised their emergency response to the Ebola outbreak to level 1.

This is the highest level of emergency response at the CDC and, according to an agency spokesperson, it has been activated because of the surge of personnel being sent into the affected countries. The CDC’s emergency operations center is now assisting the National Center for Emerging and Zoonotic Infectious Diseases in Atlanta, which specializes in the study and research of Ebola.

Ebola’s Spread to US is ‘Inevitable’ Says CDC Chief

By Kerry Sheridan.

Ebola’s spread to the United States is “inevitable” due to the nature of global airline travel, but any outbreak is not likely to be large, US health authorities said Thursday.

Already one man with dual US-Liberian citizenship has died from Ebola, after becoming sick on a plane from Monrovia to Lagos and exposing as many as seven other people in Nigeria.

More cases of Ebola moving across borders via air travel are expected, as West Africa faces the largest outbreak of the hemorrhagic virus in history, said Tom Frieden, the head of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The virus spreads by close contact with bodily fluids and has killed 932 people and infected more than 1,700 since March in Sierra Leone, Guinea, Nigeria and Liberia.

“It is certainly possible that we could have ill people in the US who develop Ebola after having been exposed elsewhere,” Frieden told a hearing of the House Subcommittee on Africa, Global Health, Global Human Rights and International Organizations.

Alaska Department of Law Confirms Former AG Sullivan Never 'Fought to Pass' Stand Your Ground

Today, Joe Miller called out Dan Sullivan for misleading Alaskans regarding his involvement in the Stand Your Ground legislation. Miller’s campaign recently submitted a Freedom of Information Act disclosure request to the Alaska Department of Law. The purpose of the request was to confirm or deny Attorney General Dan Sullivan’s claim that he “fought to pass . . . Stand Your Ground” legislation. According to the FOIA request, that claim is proved false.

“I find it deeply troubling that Dan Sullivan would run thousands of dollars of ads to mislead Alaskans about his role in the passage of legislation that he fought against,” said Miller. “This latest information proves without a doubt that Dan had nothing to do with passing Stand Your Ground.”

Assistant Attorney General Alan Birnbaum signed the FOIA response which states:

“The Alaska Department of Law received your July 3, 2014, request for records ‘exchanged between then-Attorney General Dan Sullivan and his staff’ and/or ‘Representative Mark Neuman’s office, relating to HB 381, or so-called Stand Your Ground legislation during the years 2009 and 2010.

Despite a diligent search, the Department identified no responsive paper or electronic records.”

This latest FOIA disclosure confirms what the Miller campaign has already determined – that Dan Sullivan continues to mislead Alaskans when he inflates his involvement in the Stand Your Ground legislation passage. Local progressive columnist Shannyn Moore and the nonpartisan Politifact.com also debunked Sullivan’s claims.

“In a court of law, this would be an ‘opened and closed case,’” said Miller. “As our former Attorney General, Dan Sullivan knows this. He knows the score. That’s why he’s acting like he still has a ‘duty to retreat.’”

U.S. May Sign UN Treaty Usurping Parental Rights

There is no shortage of domestic issues to be concerned about these days. From the chaos at the border to Ebola patients on our soil to Kanye West’s messiah complex – we are overwhelmed with crisis after crisis. I hate to put one more on your plate, but I think this is an issue that parents – particularly parents of disabled children – may want to know about.

Recently, the Senate Foreign Relations committee voted to send the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) treaty to the full Senate for an official vote. At first glance, the CRPD doesn’t seem that scary. It’s basically an international agreement to secure the rights of dignity and fair treatment for disabled people across the globe. That’s not such a bad thing, considering that most most non-westernized nations treat persons with disabilities as highly disposable and extremely undesirable. The results are often abandonment and/or death. Clearly there is an international crisis when it comes to the treatment of those born with disabilities. That cannot be denied.

Fortunately the United States is not one of those countries that tolerates such treatment, and yet we are getting set to sign an international treaty that could potentially usurp state law and parental rights when it comes to how we treat our disabled citizens, specifically children.

Unsurprisingly, the CRPD includes some very vague language that could be interpreted to the detriment of free American citizens. The Homeschool Legal Defense Association (HLSDA) has taken up this issue in particular, because they are concerned homeschooling parents of disabled children may lose their right of association and ability to make autonomous decisions when it comes to the well-being of their students at home.

Barack Obama Approves Airstrikes on Iraq, Airdrops Aid

By JULIAN E. BARNES, JEFFREY SPARSHOTT and NOUR MALAS.

President Barack Obama authorized targeted airstrikes and emergency assistance missions in northern Iraq, saying Thursday the U.S. must act to protect American personnel and prevent a humanitarian catastrophe in the face of advances by violent Islamist militants.

The U.S. military said it completed a delivery of meals and water to thousands of members of a religious minority who fled the town of Sinjar and are trapped in nearby mountains by the group calling itself the Islamic State.

Mr. Obama said he ordered the use of U.S. airstrikes if necessary either to stop militants from closing in on the northern city of Erbil or to allow local forces to aid the Yazidis, the religious minority. No U.S. strikes had been conducted by late Thursday, officials said.

His remarks at the White House capped a day of soaring concern about militant advances in Iraq, where extremist fighters seized control of areas long considered safe and took over the Mosul Dam, the country’s largest, according to local reports.

But Mr. Obama also acknowledged domestic jitters about renewed military involvement in Iraq, where America fought an eight-year war.

Obama: Tonight I Authorized “Military” and “Humanitarian” Operations in Iraq

By Daniel Doherty.

Speaking from the State Dining Room on Thurday evening, President Obama announced that he had authorized two separate operations in Iraq: a “humanitarian mission” to bring food and supplies to ethnic minorities trapped and fearing for their lives on an isolated mountain in northern Iraq, and “limited military airstrikes” to prevent ISIS from slaughtering more innocents.

“They’re without food, without water, people are starving and children are dying of thirst,” he said.

Many too, he continued, have been indiscriminately massacred or even enslaved by ISIS forces in recent weeks. It was therefore, he argued, the responsibility of the US to intervene militarily.

Obama Official Deleted Obamacare Emails Sought By Congress

The administrator of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) deleted some of her emails and may not be able to cooperate with a congressional investigation into the flawed Obamacare rollout, CMS has warned Congress.

Marilyn Tavenner, who was appointed by President Obama to take over CMS within the Department of Health and human Services in 2013 — prior to the Obamacare rollout — deleted some of her emails and did not save hard copies as the Federal Records Act requires her to do, MSNBC reported Thursday.

Though Tavenner’s computer did not crash like ex-IRS official Lois Lerner’s computer allegedly did, Tavenner may be unable to cooperate with House Oversight and Government Reform Committee subpoenas.

Homeland Security Spends $450,000 on ‘State of the Art’ Gym Memberships

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is spending more than $450,000 on gym memberships for TSA agents and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) employees who work desk jobs at a procurement office in Washington, D.C.

Last month, DHS bought gym memberships for ICE workers in its Office of Acquisition to boost their morale and “improve working conditions.”

“As part of the agency-wide Health and Wellness program, sponsored by Department of Homeland Security/Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), has a requirement to provide ICE employees in Tech World Office at 801 I Street, NW Washington, DC, 20536 with access/membership to a fully comprehensive state-of-the-art health club facility,” the June solicitation said.

On July 7 the agency announced it had purchased 236 gym memberships to Vida Fitness, which describes itself as “more than just a gym,” offering an “Aura Spa, Bang Salon, Fuel Bar, Gear Shop, Endless Pools, luxurious locker rooms, and the rooftop Penthouse Pool and Lounge.”

The government will spend an estimated $400,000 for two-year memberships at the upscale Vida gym located in the Renaissance Hotel on 9th street.

Transparency Troubles: Audit Finds $619B Gap in Federal Spending Site

The Obama administration failed to properly account for how it spent nearly $619 billion, according to a watchdog audit of the main federal website meant to track where taxpayer money is going.

The report from the Government Accountability Office picked apart the website USASpending.gov, and the agencies feeding information to it.

The database of government spending and contracts was created out of a 2006 transparency law, but the GAO found it continues to have serious problems. The Department of Health and Human Services was the worst offender, during the 2012 period GAO examined.

“Although agencies generally reported information for contracts to USASpending.gov, they did not properly report information on assistance awards, totaling nearly $619 billion,” the GAO reported.

USA Today first reported on the GAO audit.
