Hilarious: Robbery Suspect Caught After Shooting Himself in the Leg (+video)

Friday apparently was burglary-spree day for Bradley Parrish, 25, and David Dempsey, 27.

They reportedly robbed a Comfort Inn and a Holiday Inn, tried to rob a Checkers in North Augusta, South Carolina, and then made their way to a Quality Inn in Aiken . . .

Dempsey allegedly was seen on surveillance video entering the hotel lobby about 10:30 p.m. and talking to the front-desk attendant.

All of a sudden he goes, ‘Give me all your money,’ so I started pulling out bills and everything,” Pat Coats told WRDW-TV, adding that Dempsey had a gun and was waving it around . . .

Dempsey started to walk away with nearly $300 — but was stopped in his tracks by his own firearm. (Read more about the robbery suspect caught after he shot himself HERE)

NYPD Barred from Vacation Time Until Arrests Increase

Photo Credit: Breitbart By Dan Riehl. Across New York City, policemen are being put on notice by higher ups, get back to business as usual, or no vacations, or sick days, according to reports.

And borough commanders want to see the proof. “Throughout the city, precincts are being ordered to hand up to borough commanders ‘activity sheets’ indicating the number of arrests and summonses per shift…”

Said one union source, according to the New York Post, “Police officers around the city are now threatened with transfers, no vacation time and sick time unless they write summonses.”

Ironically, it was some of this very type of activity that has led NYPD critics to label them part of the problem, not the solution. At the same time, the slow down in issuing summonses is said to be impacting city revenue.(Read more about NYPD barred from vacation till they do more arrests HERE)

Blackmail 101: Court File Shows Billionaire Epstein Filmed Prince Andrew, Others with Underage Girls

Prince Andrew’s tycoon pal may have taken compromising photos of him with the underage girl he is alleged to have abused.

Details buried in original court papers filed against pervert Jeffrey Epstein, 61, reveal that he recorded the sordid orgies he threw for VIPs at his luxury homes using cameras hidden in the walls of guest bedrooms.

The woman known as Jane Doe 3 – said to be 30-year-old Virginia Roberts – claims she was held as a sex slave and forced to sleep with the Duke of York in London, New York and the US Virgin Islands . . .

One of the sexual encounters with the Prince, 54, is alleged to have taken place at an orgy involving other underage girls on Epstein’s private island.

The financier, who was jailed for 18 months in 2008 after pleading guilty to solicitation for prostitution, kept a sickening stash of images on a computer seized at his Palm Beach mansion in 2006. (Read more about how Epstein filmed his guests in compromising situations HERE)

New Congressional Bill Intends to Defund Planned Parenthood

By Steven Ertelt. Just weeks after it announced that it killed another 327,000 unborn babies in abortions in its most recent fiscal year, Planned Parenthood faces a new Congressional bill to yank its taxpayer funding.

Congressional Republicans informed LifeNews today that more than 80 other House members re-introduced the Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act would would revoke taxpayer funds from Planned Parenthood to ensure taxpayers are not financing the abortion industry.

Representative Diane Black, a pro-life congresswoman from Tennessee, is the lead sponsor of the bill along with Reps. Bill Flores (R-TX), Jackie Walorski (R-IN), Pro-Life Caucus Co-Chairman Chris Smith (R-NJ), and Rep. Joe Pitts (R-PA) . This bill ensures that Title X family planning grants are used for their intended purpose and are prohibited from being used by organizations that provide abortions or fund those that do.

“Planned Parenthood and organizations like it that profit off the destruction of innocent life do not deserve one more dime from American taxpayers. I have been proud to lead the charge against the funding of the big-abortion industry since my first days as a state legislator, and I am honored to continue this fight by reintroducing the Title X Abortion Provider Prohibition Act. This legislation would simply clarify the original intent and spirit of the law to ensure that Title X federal funded grants will no longer be awarded to ‘health care’ providers that fail to protect life by providing abortions,” Black said. Abortion Activists are Trying to Find New Ways to have UN Push Abortion in Pro-Life Nations

By Stefano Gennarini. Activists and governments that promote abortion and sexual rights see a new global scheme on development as an opportunity to change national policies.

Discussions are ongoing at UN headquarters after member states reached a partial agreement in December on a new agenda to replace the Millennium Development Goals (MDG). Negotiations begin next month on the substance and format, but an agreement on how the negotiations will occur still remains elusive.

Abortion groups have failed to gain ground on new norms in the draft development agenda. Like previous UN agreements, the 17 goals and 169 targets that UN member states adopted last year, called the Sustainable Development Goals, do not recognize a right to abortion. Tiffany and Co. Ad Features Homosexual Couple While TLC Goes the Other Direction

Photo Credit: Washington TimesBy Kellan Howell. World famous jeweler Tiffany and Co. is featuring a gay couple for the first time in a new ad campaign.

The campaign, shot by fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh, features seven scenes of different couples at various stages in their relationships, including a scene of a same-sex couple about to commit to a marriage, CNN reported Saturday.

The two men, shown sitting on a picturesque stoop in New York City, are a real couple, not models, a Tiffany spokesperson told CNN. (Read more about the ad that features homosexual couple HERE)

Activists Rage as TLC Promotes Reality Show About Gay Mormons Married to Women

By Kirsten Anderson. What do you do if you suffer from same-sex attraction, but your faith tells you that homosexual acts are sinful and marriage and family are a man’s highest calling?

Well, if you’re one of the several Mormon men featured in this weekend’s TLC special “My Husband’s Not Gay,” you set aside your urges and refuse to make them your identity. If you’re lucky, you find someone to marry and live the life your faith calls you to live. And if the men who star in the show can be believed, through obedience, you find peace and happiness.

But homosexual activists are calling for the show to be yanked from the lineup before it has a chance to air, saying it promotes the “dangerous” idea that people can choose not to act on their homosexual urges.

“My Husband’s Not Gay” follows three Salt Lake City-area married couples – Jeff and Tanya, Pret and Megan, and Curtis and Tera – along with 35-year-old Tom, a single man who is sexually attracted to other men, but wants to find a wife.

All four men featured on the show say they are primarily physically attracted to other men. But according to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (more commonly known as LDS or “Mormon”), “the only acceptable expression of sexuality and romantic feelings is within a marriage between a man and a woman.” (Read more from this story HERE)

White Genocide Billboard Posted in Birmingham

For the second time in less than a year, a billboard near Birmingham is carrying a racial message connected to a segregationist screed.

Posted along I-59 near Springville in St. Clair county, the billboard says “Diversity means chasing down the last white person” and includes the hashtag #whitegenocide.

The billboard appears similar to one posted near Leeds in June 2013 which read “Anti-racist is a code word for anti-white.” Though the billboard was within Birmingham city limits, Leeds mayor David Miller denounced that billboard’s “racist message” at the time due to its proximity to the city.

Both phrases are commonly used by the White Genocide Project, a group of white supremacist and separatist online activists. Their website refers to both slogans as “repeater phrases,” words and sentences activists are encouraged to use often.

The White Genocide Project is also connected to the “swarm,” and the groups follow the “Mantra,” written by a segregationist named Robert Whitaker. (Read more about the white genocide billboard HERE)

Critics Say Obama’s Math Doesn’t Add Up on Free Tuition

Photo Credit: Pete SouzaBy Brian Hughes. President Obama’s plan to provide free tuition to community college students has landed with a thud among number crunchers, who argue that overburdened states cannot afford to fund the White House idea.

As a political strategy, “free tuition” is as appealing a message as Obama could devise heading into his final two years in office. But when pressed on funding the measure, it gets messier for the White House.

Even if Obama had the backing of Republicans to spend $60 billion in federal funds on the education program — he doesn’t — the White House still would have a money problem.

States would be on the hook for $20 billion over the next decade to send students to community college, even at a time when statehouses are funding a shrinking share of their higher education programs.

“I don’t know how states would pay for this,” said Neal McCluskey, associate director of the Cato Institute’s Center for Educational Freedom. “The assumption is states are willing to shell out more money if they can get additional federal dollars. But they’ll either have to raise taxes or slash spending somewhere else.” (Read more about how the free tuition won’t work HERE)

Deciphering Obama’s Chemistry with Congress, or Lack of it

By Associated Press. He hardly ever calls. When he does, it’s all business.

And that’s President Barack Obama’s vibe with top Democrats on Capitol Hill.

With Republicans, there’s even less chemistry.

But GOP congressional leaders don’t show much inclination to buddy up to the president, either.

When the president sits down with eight top legislators — four from each party — at the White House on Tuesday, there’s little expectation it will usher in a new era of comity and cooperation. (Read more from this story HERE)

The Coming Republican Failure on Immigration

Republicans in Congress are nearly unanimous in opposing President Obama’s unilateral executive action on immigration. Nearly all want Congress to overturn the president’s edict. But how to do it? Republicans have two basic options, and as the time to act nears, it appears they are preparing to choose the one more likely to fail.

The first option is to pass a brief, simple bill that denies funding for the implementation of Obama’s action, as announced last Nov. 20 and as outlined in memoranda from both the Department of Homeland Security and the White House. Such a move would be direct, unambiguous, and would focus specifically on Obama’s action, which is what the controversy is about in the first place.

The second option is to begin with a defunding measure but then add other provisions, targeting not just Obama’s executive action but also a large chunk of the president’s immigration policy going back five years.

The first, simpler, option probably has the greatest likelihood of success. The second is more complex, and each additional component is likely to give some lawmaker — a few moderate Republicans or the Democrats whose votes are needed for passage in the Senate — a reason to vote against the measure.

While nothing is set in stone, it appears the GOP leadership seems to be headed toward the second option. In answering the president’s overreach on immigration, Capitol Hill Republicans are engaging in some overreach of their own. (Read more about the upcoming republican failure HERE)

The Last Tempation of Mitt

By McKay Coppins. It wasn’t long after Mitt Romney tottered off the national stage in November, 2012, bringing an end — it seemed — to the long, tragic story of his political career, when Spencer Zwick started getting phone calls from conservative millionaires who were clamoring for one last sequel.

Zwick, the square-jawed finance wunderkind who masterminded the candidate’s phenomenally successful fundraising operation in 2012, had returned after the election to the private equity firm he co-founded with Romney’s son, Tagg — but Mitt’s network of GOP money men wouldn’t stop hounding him. Inside Solamere Capital’s pristine, white-walled offices on Boston’s trendy Newbury Street, Zwick often found himself on the phone with major Republican fundraisers, bundlers, and donors putting the same questions to him.

“I got calls from people every day asking, ‘Do you think he’ll do it? How can we convince him to do it?’” Zwick said in an interview with BuzzFeed News.

With Friday’s news that Romney told a group of donors he was now actively considering a third presidential bid in 2016, it appears the boosters have gotten through. “Everybody in here can go tell your friends that I’m considering a run,” the former candidate told the gathering in midtown Manhattan, according to Politico. But insiders who spoke to BuzzFeed News about Romney’s evolution on the 2016 question said he only began to entertain the possibility recently, and that he still needs to weigh a number of factors — including Jeb Bush’s electability — before he decides to take the plunge. City Removes Memorial for ‘Promoting Christianity,’ Pays $500k to Barry Lynn’s Extremist Group

Photo Credit: Fox NewsBy Fox News. Until a few days ago, a war memorial in a public park in North Carolina included a metal sculpture depicting a soldier kneeling in prayer before a cross. But city officials voted to remove the sculpture to settle a lawsuit claiming the artwork promoted Christianity.

King, a small city of about 6,000 people 15 miles north of Winston-Salem, dedicated the memorial about a decade ago. But the statue was removed Tuesday night, immediately after The King city council voted 3-2 to end the lawsuit. Now, an empty hole can be seen where the statue once stood.

MyFox8 in Winston-Salem, reporting on the controversy the other day, said the memorial is on city-owned land but was paid for through private donations.

“Both sides in this matter wish to avoid further costs, and this agreement will ensure that the City of King will not spend additional taxpayers’ funds to continue litigation in federal court,” the city said in a statement after the vote.

As part of the agreement, the King City Council also said it would stop flying the Christian flag over the memorial and would pay $500,000 to Americans United for Separation of Church and State for the legal costs the group incurred bringing the lawsuit on behalf of local Afghanistan War veteran Steven Hewett. Pastor Brags About Beating Jesus Into Boy (+video)

By Zach Noble. Too inquisitive for this pastor?

He might just try to beat Jesus into you.

Bible Baptist Church in Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey, publishes its pastors’ sermons actively on Vimeo — and one of those sermons is coming back to reflect badly on the church.

Pastor Eric Dammann speaks in one sermon of a boy named Ben who was “a nice kid, but one of those — he was a real smart aleck. He was a bright kid, which didn’t help things — made him more dangerous.”

When Ben became too much of a “smart aleck” and asked too many questions about God, Dammann says he got violent with him. (Read more from this story HERE)
