Photo Credit: Abilene Baptist ChurchFor nearly two decades, the U.S. Army has provided an honor guard for an Independence Day celebration at a Baptist church that predates the founding of the nation. But this year – that tradition has come to an end.
Officials at Fort Gordon say they will not be able to send an honor guard to a July 5th service at Abilene Baptist Church because it violates a military policy banning any involvement in a religious service.
“While there are conditions under which the Army can participate in events conducted at a house of worship, we cannot participate in the context of a religious service,” Public Affairs Officer J.C. Mathews told me.
He said officials at Fort Gordon as well as the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate reviewed the church’s request and determined they were in fact holding a “religious service” . . .
That policy would be an offense to most churches in America – but it is especially offensive when you consider the Army just refused to provide an honor guard for a church whose first pastor was a chaplain in the Revolutionary Army. This is a pressing question for most Americans, especially given that Obama has no strategy. But why not start with a simple proposition? Let’s not fund terror with American taxpayer dollars.
Yet, astoundingly, a bipartisan group of Republicans and Democrats voted yesterday to preserve foreign aid to the so-called Palestinian government. While marking up an authorization bill for a number of programs within the State Department, Sen Rand Paul (R-KY) offered an amendment to eliminate aid to the Islamic terror entity known as the Palestinian Authority (it sounds nicer than their authentic name, the Palestinian Liberation Organization). Sadly, only four other Republicans joined with him in supporting the amendment: Sens. Risch (ID), Gardner (CO), Barrasso (WY) and Rubio (FL). Every Democrat on the Foreign Relations Committee, along with GOP Sens. Corker (TN), Johnson (WI), Flake (AZ), Purdue (GA), and Isakson (GA), voted to continue funding the terrorists.
According to the Congressional Research Service, we have sent roughly $5 billion to the Palestinian government since the mid-1990s. Our annual aid has fluctuated, but has hovered around $500 million per year. The worst practices in the modern world of jihad have been taught to the Arab world by these people, yet our taxpayer dollars and military training have gone into propping up this violent “government.”
While some conservatives feel Sen. Paul is weak on U.S. policy with Iran, he has been much tougher than most Republicans when it comes to Palestinian terrorists. Paul released the following statement after his amendment was defeated:
“American tax dollars continue to flow to governments that openly seek the destruction of one of our nation’s biggest allies, Israel. My support has not and will not waiver; I will continue pushing to cut off all U.S. foreign aid to the Palestinian Authority until they recognize Israel’s right to exist as a Jewish state, renounce terrorism, and purge terrorists from their ranks.”
Paul is absolutely correct. The much-vaunted Mahmoud Abbas, who is regarded as an Angel of Peace among the “international community,” has consistently refused to recognize Israel’s right to exist and has consistently told his people they will continue to struggle until “all of Palestine is liberated.” A post on the official Facebook page of Abbas’ Fatah faction showed a picture of terrorists in the military wings of Fatah, Hamas and Islamic Jihad, under the banner of “brothers-in-arms: one God, one homeland, one enemy, one goal.”
So how could the committee members, led by Sens. Bob Corker (R-TN) and Ben Cardin (D-MD), agree to continue aid to Arafat’s terror group, even as they have joined in a unity government with Hamas? Aren’t we ostensibly sending money to those who are formally designated as terrorists by our own State Department? And remember, it’s pretty hard to get on the State Department’s terror list.
During the markup, Corker said he opposed the amendment because it would undermine the “Palestinian Authority” and risk destabilizing the “West Bank.”
This assertion cannot be farther from the truth. The so-called Palestinian government has been given more global aid per capita than any other country or entity, yet it is still a corrupt, terror-laden basket case. The entire purpose of keeping the bucks flowing into the Fatah-Hamas coffers is to create an Arab-Palestinian state in Judea and Samaria, what Corker erroneously refers to as the “West Bank” (hearkening back to Jordan’s illegal occupation in 1949 of the area west of the Jordan River). There is no greater potential destabilizing event than the creation of such a state. If a Hamas-Fatah state is not bad enough, there is no doubt that, given its geographical proximity to the unstable Jordan and Syrian Golan, this region would fall to the Islamic State the minute Israel’s military pulls out of the area.
Consequently, any continued aid to the PLO will only buttress Obama’s inexorable attempt to create a terror state in one of the most sensitive parts of the Middle East. At the very least, Senate Republicans should have conditioned aid to the PLO on Obama not supporting their bid for statehood at the UN.
Unfortunately, we can’t even get the political elites to agree not to send taxpayer dollars to the most violent terrorists. Just this past year, the U.S. has shipped to the Lebanese army a number of weapons, including AGM-114 Hellfire II missiles, M198 Howitzers, Humvees, and tens of millions of rounds of ammunition. The Lebanese Army is nothing more than a puppet of Hezbollah, which is a proxy of Iran.
Hence, a reaffirmation of aid to both of Israel’s top enemies – Hezbollah and Hamas – in the same week.
Why are so few politicians concerned about this dangerous and immoral use of American taxpayer dollars?

Dr. Alveda King, the niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., has recently called abortion giant Planned Parenthood a “killing machine” in front of a California city counsel.
In May, King was invited by the Imperial Valley Coalition for Life to address the El Centro City Council about a new Planned Parenthood facility in the area which is seeking to perform abortions . . .
King is outspoken about the way that Planned Parenthood targets the Black community and she now feels they have their sights set on other minorities . . .
“Many people know that Planned Parenthood is after money offering abortions and harmful byproducts and in that process they target the most vulnerable, American women and families, Latinos and African Americans. Now, they are after the women of Mexicali and their babies because they are easy prey to their lies that they offer “safe, legal and rare abortions” . . .
“Here in El Centro, there’s a new sports pavilion and a proposed Planned Parenthood facility. The MLK sports pavilion offers help for the youth of the community while the Planned Parenthood facility offers death…It’s time to pray that Planned Parenthood doesn’t move in with it’s well planned killing machine, ” she said. It is time to stop making excuses for American Jewish leaders and their failure to respond to US President Barack Obama’s latest charm offensive, expressing “admiration” for Jews and “love” of Israel as a mantle to cast moral aspersions against the democratically elected government of Israel.
Obama is clearly determined to undermine the standing of the newly elected Israeli government by embarking on a campaign to promote an utterly fictional narrative of the Arab-Israeli conflict, even in advance of the June 30 deadline of the “negotiations” with Iran.
He orchestrated interviews with journalists Jeffrey Goldberg and Tom Friedman, whom he uses regularly to convey his distaste for Israeli policies – and Ilana Dayan of Israel’s Channel 2 TV. Considered a tough investigative journalist, Dayan on this occasion acted as though she were launching an Obama fan club.
She failed to pose any challenging questions and instead provided openings for him to benevolently display his loathing for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Obama also gave a major address to a Jewish audience at Washington’s Conservative Adas Israel congregation.
One of his acolytes, David Axelrod, recalls Obama – who for many years belonged to a church with an anti-Semitic pastor – describing himself as “the closest thing to a Jew” who has ever served as an American president. At Adas Israel, Obama even described himself as “an honorary member of the tribe” and called on Israelis and Jews to concentrate on “tikkun olam – repairing the world,” implying that universal humanistic values are more in keeping with Judaism than nationalism. A new report by In Touch claims the Duggar family was being investigated as recently as May 27, and a 911 call regarding the Duggars was placed on that date by a Washington County Department of Human Services (DHS) worker because the DHS was allegedly being denied access to a minor in the family.
The call was supposedly just days after a May 19 report by In Touch revealed Josh Duggar had sexually abused five females – including four sisters — when he was 14 or 15 back in 2002 and 2003. Josh Duggar, his parents, and two of his sisters—Jessa Seewald and Jill Dillard—have since spoken openly about the abuse.
After the revelations about the Duggars hit the web, the Arkansas Department of Human Services reportedly launched a new investigation into the family made famous by the TV show “19 Kids and Counting.”
The latest issue of In Touch magazine contains a transcript of the 911 call that was allegedly made regarding the Duggar family. In [the] supposed printed transcript of the call, the caller identifies the home they are calling about by saying “Address is the Duggar family home.”
The alleged transcript states the caller said the following when asked for the reason for the call: “Well, we’re Washington County DHS office we’re out here to, we have an investigation, and I guess they’re not being cooperative. The “mom-of-the-year” involved in a brawl with a fellow shopper in a motorized chair inside an Indiana Walmart has spoken out.
And not only does the woman justify her actions, saying she was reacting to a racial comment the shopper made toward a store employee, but she defends the role of her 6-year-old son in the fight, The Blaze reported.
Appearing on the “Smiley Morning Show” on WZPL, in Greenfield, Ind., a person who identified herself as “Amber” claimed to be the mom seen in a video that has since gone viral, and said the incident all began when the other shopper used the n-word.
“(The woman) was sitting there yelling at an employee at Walmart, and she was telling her that she was a n***** and that she was going to get out of the chair and whoop her a**,” Amber said . . .

Appearing with her godfather on “Hannity” Tuesday, a girl who attended Friday’s pool party where a police officer drew his weapon on a group of teenagers in McKinney, Texas, tried to excuse the behavior of the teens in the video.
“He started cussing at us first,” Ladariene McKever told Hannity. “No one’s going to listen to him if [he’s] calling us names for no reason.”
Her comments demonstrate a troublesome attitude among certain communities, where disobeying the police is considered acceptable under various circumstances . . .
The claim that the teens in in the video resisted arrest and refused lawful orders simply because the cop used foul language is sadly illustrative of a culture that has been conditioned to distrust and disrespect authority. During an argument over infidelity, a Florida woman threw a hamburger at her boyfriend, striking him in the eye and landing her in jail.
According to cops, Rykihia Moore and Mario Thornton were bickering Saturday evening over Moore reportedly “being unfaithful.”
In the midst of the verbal beef inside a Clearwater home, the 27-year-old Moore “took a hamburger” and threw it at Thornton, her beau of 12 months. In a survey conducted by the University of Kent between December 2014 and January 2015, 1,546 U.S. citizens and former citizens were asked why they no longer wanted to be Americans. Survey participants stated that high taxes were the primary reason for renouncing their citizenship. But the survey also found that contrary to popular belief, income was not a key factor in their decision.
“Of those who have renounced or relinquished US citizenship (142 of the total respondents), nearly half (43%) have annual pre-tax household incomes of under $100,000 (USD). There is, similarly, very little difference in renunciation intention between those with lower incomes and those with higher incomes: of US citizen respondents with annual household incomes under $100,000 (USD), 28% are actively thinking of renouncing; of US citizen respondents with incomes above $250,000 (USD), 33% are actively thinking of doing so.”
In 2014, the government raised the fee for those wishing to formally relinquish their U.S. citizenship from $450 to $2,350. But nearly a third of those surveyed say they are still thinking about doing it anyway. . .
The record number of American natives who have renounced their U.S. citizenship is in sharp contrast to the much larger rise in immigrants coming to America. An estimated 41.3 million immigrants, both legal and illegal, currently live in the United States and their numbers grew by 1.4 million people between 2010 and 2013, according to the Census Bureau. The largest number – 11.6 million – are from Mexico. . .
The Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) explained that during the next decade, immigrants will make up the largest share of the U.S. population ever recorded in American history:“The [Census] Bureau projected the future size of the immigrant (foreign-born) population and found that by 2023 immigrants will account for more than one in seven U.S. residents (51 million).” (Read more from “Record Number of Americans Renounced Their US Citizenship in 2015” HERE)

Using federal tax dollars, Alaska’s Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER) is promoting a “family event” involving drag queens and the transgender “Rev. Drew Phoenix” – formerly Ann Gordon – who made national headlines over her sex change and effort to keep her Methodist credentials several years ago.
The base’s first drag queen event, published on JBER’s official Facebook page, announces “special drag performances by: Hank and Callie”:

Apparently, the military base believes that this is a family-friendly event, stating that “family members are encouraged to attend.”
The military base’s efforts to promote the LGBT agenda has drawn a sharp reaction from service members. The comments on the military installation’s Facebook page are overwhelmingly opposed to the event and the efforts of the military brass to characterize it as “family” appropriate. Here are just a few of the comments:
The keynote speaker for the event – the so-called “Reverend Drew Phoenix” – told the annual United Methodist Church conference in 2007 that, “My transition to live fully as the male I know myself to be is very personal and deeply spiritual,” Phoenix told the annual conference. “As I continue to transition, to fully claim myself as a male, I find myself coming home to the child God created me to be. I find myself joyful, whole, and peaceful. And I find myself even more effective as a pastor.”
Walt Heyer, another individual who lived the transgender lifestyle and actually went through a surgical gender reassignment surgery – and then regretted it – fundamentally disagrees with the former Rev. Ann Gordon, and the efforts of the U.S. Military to promote transgenderism as “normal”:
