Watch: Ben Carson Said Obama Used Something That Immediately Turned Heads

16475754279_d6c395b65f_bRepublican presidential candidate Ben Carson said in an interview on Fox News that he “couldn’t find a single person” in Israel who felt the Obama administration hasn’t “turned their back on Israel.”

Appearing on Fox News Sunday this past weekend, Carson was asked by host Chris Wallace to explain his criticism of President Obama and the Iran deal. “Well, all you have to do, Chris, is like I have, go to Israel and talk to average people on all ends of that spectrum,” Carson said. “And I couldn’t find a single person there who didn’t feel that this administration had turned their back on Israel.”

And I think the position of president of [the] United States should be one where you begin to draw people together behind a vision, not one where you castigate those who believe differently from you. I think it’s a possibility for great healing, if it is used in the correct way.

Among other things, the deal brokered last month is supposed to reduce the number of Iranian centrifuges by two-thirds, ban enrichment at key facilities, and limit Iran’s nuclear material stockpile to 300 kg for 15 years. Rather than 2-3 months, the U.S. believes it will now take the Iranians one year to assemble its first nuclear bomb once the provisions of the deal expire down the road.

Writing in The Jerusalem Post last week, Carson criticized Obama’s August 5 speech at American University in Washington, D.C., where the president vigorously defended the Iran deal and lashed out at his critics. Carson asserted Obama used “anti-Semitic themes” throughout his speech . . .

The relevant exchange begins around 5:40:

U.S. Military Reveals a MASSIVE Blow It Just Dealt ISIS

downloadA airstrike has taken out the Islamic State’s second in command, the White House confirmed in a statement on Friday. The strike on Fadhil Ahmad Al-Hayali, also known as Hajji Mutazz, occurred while he was traveling in a vehicle near Mosul in Northern Iraq on Tuesday.

Al-Hayali was an “ISIL Shura Council member and, as the senior deputy to ISIL leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, was a primary coordinator for moving large amounts of weapons, explosives, vehicles, and people between Iraq and Syria,” said White House NSC spokesman Ned Price.

“Al-Hayali’s death will adversely impact ISIL’s operations given that his influence spanned ISIL’s finance, media, operations, and logistics,” Price added.

Charles Lister, a visiting fellow at the Brookings Doha Center, told the Wall Street Journal that Al-Hayali’s killing indicates the U.S. may have gained significant intelligence gathering capability regarding ISIS. “The killing by itself suggests the U.S. has acquired a top-level source of intelligence capable of providing insight into and infiltrating the uppermost ranks of what is a highly secretive and well protected organization,” he said. As Hillary Implodes, the Democrats Have No Real Plan B

hillary_clinton_scaryThe summer has not been kind to Hillary Clinton. The drip-drip-drip of revelations about her possible misuse and mishandling of classified information threatens to become a deluge in the fall. They have taken a serious toll on her reputation — and even more notably, her treatment by liberal media figures who surely would rather she be elected even if the Risen Christ were to be the Republican nominee.

Democrats are worried — so worried five donors who raised millions for President Obama as well as Obama’s chief Florida strategist have both sworn off Hillary and joined an effort to draft Vice President Joe Biden to save the party from an unelectable (or, dare we say it, indicted) nominee.

Should they be worried? Sure. People in politics should always worry, and since she kicked off her presidential campaign by talking about being “dead broke,” Hillary has been a worry-generating machine for any rational non-Pollyanna Democrat who doesn’t live in a Media Matters for America bubble.

But is Joe Biden a serious Plan B? No. There is no Plan B.

First, the case for Democratic panic. We begin with the perception problem. I’m profoundly skeptical about polling results these days, but politics runs on them, and Democrats are looking at polls that suggest Americans as a whole view her as dishonest and untrustworthy — polls in which the numbers are getting worse as the months pass. Woman: Planned Parenthood Said I Had to Donate This, or I Couldn’t Get the Abortion

6905464604_c4a082dbf9_bBy Kasey Jackson. It has been a public mantra of Planned Parenthood since the Clinton administration – this idea that abortion should be safe, and legal, but also, as rare as possible. With induced abortion being the most invasive and painful medical procedure available to prevent and/or end an unintended pregnancy, even those that passionately identify as pro-choice agree that preventing an unintended pregnancy is preferred over the need to terminate one. Both pro-life activists and Planned Parenthood affiliates alike publicly celebrate and take credit for the fact that abortion numbers across the United States are at the lowest point since 1973 . . .

I recently had the opportunity to speak with a post-abortive woman by the name of Nancy Tanner who shared her story with the Silent No More Awareness Campaign about her experience at a Washington D.C. Planned Parenthood clinic where she had her abortion:

“I was second-guessing my decision to have the abortion,” Nancy says. “And as I was filling out the paperwork, I saw a permission slip that dealt with the disposal of the ‘products of conception.'”

After reading the permission slip, Nancy realized that the form gave Planned Parenthood permission to donate her fetus for scientific research, and she didn’t feel comfortable signing the form. She says that the nurse must have sensed her uneasiness about signing it, because she recalled that the nurse “asked me if I was an organ donor, and I told her that I was.” Nancy said, “she told me that this (the fetal tissue donation) was of a similar value” . . .

I said I didn’t want to sign it (the fetal tissue donation consent form) and they said I had to or I couldn’t have the abortion. I didn’t want my baby to be used for scientific research and I was told, “Don’t worry, it’s not a baby.” I told her I had two daughters already and I knew what a baby was. She said, “We don’t think its a baby.”

Boehner Aide, Sister of CEO Who Discussed Shipping ‘Intact’ Aborted Baby Parts, Resigns to Join Lobbying Firm

By Michael W. Chapman. Charlotte Ivancic — the older sister of Cate Dyer who runs the biotech company StemExpress, and who discussed and laughed about shipping “intact” aborted baby parts in an undercover video released on Friday – is leaving her position as the health policy adviser to House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) to go to work for the lobbying firm Tarplin, Downs & Young.

The resignation of Ivancic–who worked for Boehner and as legal counsel to the House Budget Committee–was announced on August 5, as reported in The Hill.

In late July, StemExpress and its founder and CEO, Cate Dyer, were mentioned in undercover videos of Planned Parenthood’s harvesting of aborted baby parts by the Center for Medical Progress, a pro-life organization.

StemExpress obtained a temporary restraining order on July 28 against the release of any further investigative videos, but that order was lifted on Aug. 21 by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Joanne O’Donnell.

After the restraining order was lifted, the Center for Medical Progress released a new video (on Aug. 21) that includes footage of a luncheon meeting with StemExpress’ Cate Dyer and the investigators who discuss how the procurement, supply, and shipping of aborted baby parts and their tissue operates. Another Hero on Paris-Bound Train: U.S. Professor First Tackled AK47 Wielding Jihadist and Was Shot in Neck‏

mark-m_3416314bThe mystery identity of the first heroic passenger to wrestle a weapon from the high-speed train gunman can be disclosed for the first time by The Telegraph.

Mark Moogalian, a 51-year-old professor at the Sorbonne (originally from Virginia), tackled Ayoub El-Khazzani during Friday’s bloody incident aboard an Amsterdam-Paris international service. Mr Moogalian is the previously unnamed man who came to the aid of “Damien A”, 28, a French banker who confronted El-Khazzani.

The pair tackled the Kalashnikov assault rifle off El-Khazzani, who then drew a sidearm and shot Moogalian in the neck before taking back the rifle, his sister has revealed. Read here for more details.

The three Americans and one Brit who were able to tackle and tie up Ayoub El-Khazzani, the gunman, will recieve the Legion of Honour medal, France’s highest civilian honour.

El-Khazzani’s lawyer claims he was homeless and has suggested he was simply trying to commit a robbery. That version of events has been disputed by officials. (Read more from “Another Hero on Paris-Bound Train: U.S. Professor First Tackled AK47 Wielding Jihadist and Was Shot in Neck” HERE)

Obama Officials Heading to Mexico to Discuss International Gun Control via UN Treaty

GettyImages-455648766-640x427 (1)On August 24 officials from the Obama administration will be attending the UN Arms Trade Treaty (ATT) conference in Mexico City.

The ATT was signed by Secretary of State John Kerry on September 25, 2013 but never ratified by the US Senate. Nevertheless, Gun Owners of America reports that Obama officials will be in Mexico City for the conference.

Breitbart News previously reported that the ATT is an international gun control treaty designed to be implemented apart from, or in spite of, the general framework of governance for countries that are signatories to it.

Thus, while it will not do away with the Second Amendment on paper, it will subjugate the Second Amendment to the ATT’s gun controls if Obama administration officials return and implement the plans they will discuss in Mexico City.

ATT was pushed under the guise of stopping “small arms [and] light weapons” from crossing borders. And when it was being discussed in 2013, Breitbart News warned that firearm registration must proceed from the ATT if it is to be enforceable. After all, how can agents tasked with enforcing this treaty ascertain the origin of smuggled weapons without a comprehensive registration on file? Cruz’s Evangelical Outreach Shifts Into High Gear

US-POLITICS-CONSERVATIVES-CPACSen. Ted Cruz, who has assiduously courted evangelicals throughout his presidential run, will take a lead role in the launch this week of an ambitious 50-state campaign to end taxpayer support for Planned Parenthood — a move that is likely to give the GOP candidate a major primary-season boost in the fierce battle for social-conservative and evangelical voters.

More than 100,000 pastors received e-mail invitations over the weekend to participate in conference calls with Cruz on Tuesday in which they will learn details of the plan to mobilize churchgoers in every congressional district beginning Aug. 30. The requests were sent on the heels of the Texas Republican’s “Rally for Religious Liberty,” which drew 2,500 people to a Des Moines ballroom Friday.

“The recent exposure of Planned Parenthood’s barbaric practices has brought about a pressing need to end taxpayer support of this institution,” Cruz said in the e-mail call to action distributed by the American Renewal Project, an organization of conservative pastors.

The push comes as Cruz seeks to grab a decisive edge in a crowded primary-within-a-primary, with half a dozen GOP contenders battling for what he has referred to as “the evangelical bracket.”

Roughly 1 in 4 voters have identified themselves as evangelical in exit polls from the 2004 campaign on. In key Republican contests such as Iowa, and in some of the Southern states that Cruz has said are critical to his run, that figure was higher during the last presidential campaign — nearly 50 percent. Liberman: Barak Revealed State Secrets on Iran

F100829FF10-e1440333490811-635x357Former foreign minister Avigdor Liberman on Sunday accused erstwhile defense minister Ehud Barak of exposing state secrets, after the latter detailed on tape three occasions between 2010 and 2012 when Israel was ostensibly poised to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Liberman told Army Radio that he was “more than surprised” at Barak, and said statements such as those given by the former minister would ultimately strengthen Iran.

“I think that when moves and discussions that should have been closely guarded state secrets are discussed by the press, it relays that you are a talker, that you aren’t serious, that you’re unreliable,” he said . . .

Channel 2, which broadcast the bombshell recordings of Barak on Friday night, said Saturday that “anger” at the former defense minister was widespread in the Israeli leadership, and that numerous senior political and security officials were also privately intimating that Barak’s version of events was not entirely accurate. The Prime Minister’s Office did not issue an official response to the broadcast.

In the tapes, whose broadcast Barak was said to have tried to prevent, he claims that he and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wanted to attack Iran in 2010, but that then-IDF chief of staff Gabi Ashkenazi indicated that there was no viable plan for such an operation; that they were thwarted in 2011 by the opposition of fellow ministers Moshe Ya’alon and Yuval Steinitz; and that a planned 2012 strike was aborted because it happened to coincide with a joint Israel-US military exercise and Israel did not want to drag the US into the fray. Critics Say New State Department Guidelines Meant to ‘Chill’ Employee Speech

Funny faces: Hillary ClintonTougher State Department rules governing federal workers’ speech — covering everything from their congressional testimony to tweets — have critics warning of a chilling effect that could be a way to put officials on notice as Congress probes the Benghazi attack and Hillary Clinton email scandal.

“Boy, does this smell like bad fish,” said Peter Van Buren, an ex-foreign service officer who was squeezed out of his job in 2012 after he published a book and a personal blog critical of the State Department’s Iraq reconstruction efforts.

“This does seem kind of coincidental that these new rules, after three years, have been issued in the same time frame as the Hillary Clinton [email] situation … and looking forward to [Benghazi] hearings in October,” he told FoxNews.com. “It looks like they are trying to chill the speech of their employees.”

The 19-page revised rules, first reported by the blog Diplopundit, were issued on July 27 and include three major changes or clarifications, critics say, that could clamp down on government workers’ speech. They include specific wording about congressional testimony, wait times for review of blog posts and social media like tweets, and additional restrictions on what material can be published in a personal capacity by either current or former employees.

“It’s an absolute overreach,” Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, told The Heritage Foundation’s Daily Signal. (Read more from “Critics Say New State Department Guidelines Meant to ‘Chill’ Employee Speech” HERE)

What Trump Must Do to Win the Presidency

ABC_donald_trump_this_week_jt_130811_16x9_992Donald Trump has catapulted to the lead in the race for the Republican presidential nomination by focusing on two popular issues:

*Proposing the building of a wall along the Mexican border to stem the overwhelming influx of illegal immigration,

*Attacking the Stalinesque doctrine of “political correctness” that increasingly inhibits freedom of expression in the U.S.

His approach has been very effective so far.

But it’s time for Trump to open up a new offensive front.

If I had his ear, as I have once or twice in the past, I would advise Trump to say, as the future president, he would refuse to raise the debt limit to force Washington to live within its means like every American family and business is forced to do. He should say that $18 trillion is too much, and that continued borrowing by the federal government is completely unsustainable. The only way to dig out of this hole is to stop borrowing, and, as president, he will not request or approve any future hike in the debt limit.

He should also allay fears on Wall Street that such an action will result in a default by ensuring that Washington, under his leadership, will continue to service the existing debt.

And, lastly, he should characterize this action as a great opportunity to return to constitutionally limited government by cutting government spending and programs that never should have been started in the first place. (Read more from “What Trump Must Do to Win the Presidency” HERE)
