Egypt Independent had this article exposing Al-Azhar University of Egypt:

“Religious jurisprudence textbooks for Al-Azhar students address, among other things, the issue of eating dead human beings, quoting Mansour bin Yunus al-Bahuti, a scholar of the Hanbali school of jurisprudence who died 500 years ago, as saying that eating dead Jews, Christians and non-believers is halal (permissible by Islam) if it is a necessity, but non-Muslims are not to eat dead Muslims, even out of necessity.”

Another textbook quotes Imam al-Sherbini of the Shafi school of jurisprudence as saying that dead prophets of any religion should not be eaten. And when he was told that prophets do not die and that they lie alive praying in their graves according to the Hadith, he said that he meant if they were found dead before they were buried.

He also clarified that the meat of dead Jews, Christians and infidels should be eaten raw, not cooked or grilled.

IRS Possessed Stingray Cellphone Surveillance Gear, Documents Reveal

The Internal Revenue Service is the latest in a growing list of US federal agencies known to have possessed the sophisticated cellphone dragnet equipment known as Stingray, according to documents obtained by the Guardian.

Invoices obtained following a request under the Freedom of Information Act show purchases made in 2009 and 2012 by the federal tax agency with Harris Corporation, one of a number of companies that manufacture the devices. Privacy advocates said the revelation “shows the wide proliferation of this very invasive surveillance technology”.

The 2009 IRS/Harris Corp invoice is mostly redacted under section B(4) of the Freedom of Information Act, which is intended to protect trade secrets and privileged information. However, an invoice from 2012, which is also partially redacted, reports that the agency spent $65,652 on upgrading a Stingray II to a HailStorm, a more powerful version of the same device, as well as $6,000 on training from Harris Corporation.

Stingrays are the best-known example of a type of device called an IMSI-catcher, also known as “cell-site simulators”. About the size of a briefcase, they work by pretending to be cellphone towers in order to strip metadata and in some cases even content from phones which connect to them . . .

Immense secrecy has so far surrounded these devices, but a picture is slowly emerging which shows widespread use. Various revelations by the American Civil Liberties Union and news outlets including the Guardian had shown that at least 12 federal agencies are already known to have these devices, including the National Security Agency and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. 35 Million Migrants Heading to Europe, Says Hungary as It Builds Second Fence

The huge figure was revealed today by Hungary’s minister for foreign affairs and trade Peter Szijjártó.

Speaking as the country begins work on its second fence to stop migrants heading across its border he predicted the current crisis will continue for years.

Mr Szijjártó told the Hungarian Times: “The name of the fence is ‘Temporary Security Border Fence’ but I think there is no question that in this case temporary means years.

“It’s a self delusion to call this situation a migration crisis; it is a massive migration of nations, with inexhaustible reserves.

NYC to Let the UN Run Its Police Force

American tradition, values and mores continue to erode thanks to constant pressure by the political left to destroy a culture they see as illegitimate and dangerous to the globe — despite our nation’s appeal to millions around the world and the opportunities we create for ourselves and for others.

Now, the liberals who run New York City are even prepared to cede at least some policing power to “a new global, terror-busting network to try to combat homegrown extremism,” according to a September 29 press statement, The New American reports.

In an announcement made at the United Nations, avowed socialist Mayor Bill DeBlasio declared New York City’s intent to join the UN and the United States Department of Justice in their bid to combat “all forms of violent extremism, whether it’s based in religious, or racial, or nationalistic or ideological intolerance.”

With this, de Blasio has effectively ruled that American patriotism is an “intolerance” he won’t tolerate. Save for 9/11, however, when was the last time we’ve seen a major act of “extremism” in New York City (that hasn’t come from the mayor himself), anyway?

As The New American further reported, the Obama Justice Department is claiming that this new law enforcement partnership program — dubbed “Strong Cities” — is really aimed at inspiring “action on a global scale.” (Read more from “NYC to Let the UN Run Its Police Force” HERE)

This Is the Disgusting Thing Your Vegetarian Hot Dog May Contain

Think you’re making the healthy choice by picking a vegetarian hot dog? Check the brand you’re buying: A new report found that 10 percent of the vegetarian hot dogs tested contained meat, including chicken in a vegetarian breakfast sausage and pork in a vegetarian hot dog.

But that’s not all. Clear Food, a company that genetically tests food products, looked at 345 hot dog samples from 75 brands, including meat-based and meat-free franks. Of those 345 hot dogs, 14.4 percent had some sort of issue, be it a labeling inaccuracy or hygiene problem . . .

Even grosser: 2 percent of all samples were found to have traces of human DNA in them. Veggie dogs were the worst off, accounting for 67 percent of the hygiene issues and two-thirds of the human DNA found.

The good news: As bad as some brands were found to be, there are some trustworthy options out there. The report lists the soy chorizo and meatless corn dogs at Trader Joe’s as safe picks for vegetarians, and Taveritte’s, Whole Foods’ 365 brand, Aidell’s, Hebrew National, Ball Park, Oscar Mayer, and Johnsonville for meat eaters. Wedded ‘Throuples’ Coming to America

Has the Supreme Court’s ruling that same-sex couples have a constitutional right to marry paved the way for all kinds of non-traditional relationships to be legally recognized?

“If marriage is not the union of a man and a woman, why limit it to two people?” asked Michael Brown, a national talk radio host and author of “Outlasting the Gay Revolution.” “What makes the number two unique or necessary? Why not marry yourself, as some women have recently done? Why not throuples? There are several examples of this in the last few years. Why not three women and two men? We see this already in polygamous relationships. Why not?”

Paul Kengor, a university professor and author of “Takedown: From Communists to Progressives, How the Left Has Sabotaged Family and Marriage,” said these types of unions are inevitable once a nation redefines marriage to mean anything other than one man and one woman.

“Once the standard becomes that marriage can be defined in whichever way a people or culture desire, then marriage is redefinable, period,” Kengor told WND. “This is plainly inevitable. If liberals could get past emotion, and look at the sheer logic of what they’re asserting, then they’ll see that they’ve created the conditions for these types of new marriage configurations by smashing the standard of one-man-one-woman marriage.”

Carl Gallups, a pastor, talk radio host and author of the forthcoming book “Be Thou Prepared,” believes the U.S. soon may see odd configurations for marriage such as threesomes. (Read more from “Wedded ‘Throuples’ Coming to America” HERE)

Fuming Over Ryan, Some Conservative Voices Turn on the Freedom Caucus

Rep. Mark Meadows (R-N.C.) has been able to count on his Facebook page for stalwart support during his long-running battle with the House Republican leadership, including a successful effort to oust House Speaker John A. Boehner (R-Ohio) . . .

But in recent days, the tone of the comments on Meadows’s page, and those of the other members of the hard-right House Freedom Caucus, have changed significantly.

“You truly should be ashamed,” one commenter wrote Thursday. “The people in the caucus will be held responsible come election day.”

“You should all be replaced,” a critic told Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-Ga.). Another called Rep. Raúl R. Labrador (R-Idaho), one of the most persistent thorns in Boehner’s side, “a RINO establishment lap dog” and “another go-along to get along phony who will GLADLY step on the throats of the Conservative electorate.”

Things may never be the same for the Freedom Caucus after most of its members moved last week to support Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) as the next House speaker. Watch: Hillary Clinton Jokes About Chris Stevens at Benghazi Hearing

After hours of questioning at Thursday’s House Select Committee on Benghazi hearing, Hillary Clinton decided to joke about the additional security requested from Ambassador Chris Stevens, which the State Department denied before the fateful terrorist attack on the U.S. embassy in Benghazi on September 11, 2012.

The former secretary of state applauded Stevens’ frugality and “entrepreneurial spirit” for attempting to buy more security tools on the cheap. At the time the British embassy in Libya was closing its doors due to the increasingly unstable situation in the country, the British were having a “fire sale” of all of their equipment. Stevens sent in an email that he would like to pick up a few items from the embassy, including barricades.

Muslim Starts Stabbing Elderly Woman, Then She Utters These Words and He Stops Immediately

A 78-year-old woman in Jerusalem is crediting God and a Good Samaritan for her ability to escape a recent terror attack. One of numerous violent incidents across the region in recent weeks, Marike Veldman recalled spotting two suspicious men on the bus she was riding last week.

“I thought to myself, ‘What were they doing on a bus at this hour? They should be at work,” she explained.

Within moments, Veldman said the men began praising Allah as one fired shots and the other began stabbing her . . .

Though two individuals died in the attack, Veldman survived – as did 15 other injured passengers – and was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. She said she immediately turned to her faith as she was being stabbed. “I cried constantly in Dutch,” she said, “‘Lord Jesus! Lord Jesus! Help me! Help me!’”

Video Purports to Show Anti-ISIS Raid That Killed American

A new video purports to show Thursday’s raid in Iraq in which dozens of ISIS hostages were freed and an American commando was killed.

The video, exclusively obtained by NBC News from Jordan-based news outlet Arab24, was apparently taken on helmet cameras at a prison near the northern town of Hawija. Arab24 said it received the video from Kurdish military officials.

U.S. and Kurdish commandos stormed the prison in a pre-dawn, joint rescue mission after a tip that hostages there were about to be slaughtered. Oklahoma native Delta Force commando Master Sgt. Joshua Wheeler was killed in the ensuing firefight, marking the first time an American has died in combat operations against ISIS.

In the beginning of the footage, a group of soldiers darts out of a building, weapons drawn, as gunfire and beams from flashlights illuminate the area. A steady stream of pops — possibly small-arms fire — rings out while a few other soldiers stand near the entrance, weapons drawn. Dozens of barefoot hostages dressed in gowns, some stained in what looks to be blood, emerge from inside the building.
