Despite Strong Economic Numbers, Trump’s Approval Rating Remains Low

President Donald Trump remains below 40 percent approval in a key poll despite strong economic growth.

An NBC/Wall Street Journal poll released Sunday showed that 38 percent of Americans approve of Trump’s job performance.

The poll results come after the Commerce Department released figures showing the U.S. economy growing at a higher rate than expected and continued record stock market performances. White House press secretary Sarah Sanders frequently points at economic indicators to prove the Trump presidency is a success.

“The stock market is up. Unemployment is down. Jobs are back. And ISIS is on the run. America is winning, and that’s what we like to talk about,” Sanders said during a June press briefing.

However, Americans still aren’t fans of the Trump presidency. (Read more from “Despite Strong Economic Numbers, Trump’s Approval Rating Remains Low” HERE)

Roger Stone Says He Will Sue Twitter Over Account Suspension

Longtime Trump associate Roger Stone Jr. said he will sue Twitter in response to the company banning him from the platform.

“I have retained one of the best telecommunications lawyers in the country and will be bringing a legal action against Twitter over the suspension of my account,” he told TheWrap. “The battle for free speech has just begun.”

Stone would not publicly name the attorney until he signed a retainer agreement, which he said he expected to do Monday.

“I have been inundated on Twitter with bloggers threatening to kill me, my wife my kids and even my dogs yet Twitter seems unconcerned about that,” he said “This is just part and parcel of the tech lefts effort to silence conservative voices.”

Stone, always a provocative presence on the platform, was finally kicked off for good Saturday after launching a series of profanity-laced tweets towards CNN anchor Don Lemon and other network personalities. (Read more from “Roger Stone Says He Will Sue Twitter Over Account Suspension” HERE)

Mueller’s Office Will Issue First Public Indictment

By NBC News. A federal grand jury in Washington has approved the first criminal charges in the special counsel’s investigation into Russian election interference, two sources told NBC News, marking a significant milestone in an inquiry that has roiled Donald Trump’s presidency.

Mueller’s Special Counsel’s Office will make public an indictment on Monday, a U.S. official with firsthand knowledge of the process confirmed to NBC News, without disclosing the name of the target or the nature of the charges. The timing was confirmed by a second source familiar with the matter.

CNN was the first to report on Friday that the grand jury approved charges, citing multiple sources. The network added that the charges remain sealed by order of a federal judge.

Peter Carr, a spokesman for Mueller, declined to comment Friday night. (Read more from “Mueller’s Office Will Issue First Public Indictment” HERE)

Dread, Expectation Hang Over Washington Before Mueller Sweep

By Stephen Collinson. A mood of fateful anticipation is cloaking Washington, with possible arrests imminent after the federal grand jury in the Russia investigation approved its first charges.

By taking one or more people into custody, a prospect first reported by CNN Friday, Justice Department special counsel Robert Mueller would create a new, perilous reality for the White House, reflecting the gravity of the investigation into Russia’s interference in the 2016 election and alleged collusion by President Donald Trump’s associates.

Trump and his team deny any wrongdoing, and so far there is no conclusive evidence from Mueller’s closely held investigation or several congressional probes of nefarious links with the Russians. (Read more from “Dread, Expectation Hang Over Washington Before Mueller Sweep” HERE)

Judge Jeanine: After Russian Dossier Funding, Time to ‘Lock Her Up’

By Fox News Insider. Judge Jeanine slammed Democrats’ involvement in the Russia dossier used to smear President Trump during the campaign, saying it is time to “lock up” Hillary Clinton.

Last week new reports surfaced that Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the Democratic National Committee paid an opposition research firm for the controversial and salacious document.

Special Counsel and former FBI Director Robert Mueller must be fired, and all involved in the scandal investigated, Judge Jeanine said.

“This has been a charade.”

Pirro pointed out that the media have accused Donald Trump’s campaign of colluding with Russia, but the tables seem to be turning. (Read more from “Judge Jeanine: After Russian Dossier Funding, Time to ‘Lock Her Up'” HERE)

Speculation Swirls as Mueller Indictment Looms in Russia Investigation

By Fox News. Speculation has escalated in Washington and across the country as lawmakers await the announcement of at least one indictment in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into alleged ties between the Trump campaign and Russia during the 2016 election — an announcement that could come as early as Monday.

The top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., predicted Sunday on ABC News’ “This Week” that two prominent Trump campaign associates believed to be at the center of the investigation — former White House national security adviser Michael Flynn and former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort — could be indicted.

“Well, you know, there are two people I think just from press reporting that it is likely to be, either Mike Flynn or Paul Manafort,” Schiff said. “We haven’t been informed of who it is, and I don’t think it would been appropriate for Bob Mueller to tell us.”

Manafort has been the subject of an investigation into his dealings in Ukraine several years ago — for which he did not file as a foreign agent until June 2017. (Read more from “Speculation Swirls as Mueller Indictment Looms in Russia Investigation” HERE)

Now It’s ‘Pregnant People,’ Not ‘Pregnant Women’

In a move that has created head-shaking across the United Kingdom, the government has insisted that the United Nations replace the term “pregnant women” in an official document with “pregnant people” to avoid offense.

The dispute arose because the nation’s Foreign and Commonwealth Office wanted to avoid excluding “transgender people who have given birth,” meaning women who “identify” as men.

The U.K. policy office was reviewing the U.N.’s International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, which was signed by the U.K. in 1976, some 10 years after it was created.

One line in that document states the death penalty “shall not be carried out on pregnant women.” (Read more from “Now It’s ‘Pregnant People,’ Not ‘Pregnant Women'” HERE)

U.S. ‘Discouraging’ Greater Jerusalem Bill, Official Says

The Trump administration is “discouraging” any further action on a controversial Israeli bill regarding the status of greater Jerusalem, fearing it would harm its peace effort toward a comprehensive Israeli-Palestinian settlement, a senior administration official told The Jerusalem Post on Sunday.

“It’s fair to say that the US is discouraging actions that it believes will unduly distract the principals from focusing on the advancement of peace negotiations,” the official said. “The Jerusalem expansion bill was considered by the Administration to be one of those actions.”

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delayed an initial vote planned for Sunday on the measure, which would have annexed 19 Israeli settlements around the capital city.

US President Donald Trump’s special representative for international negotiations, Jason Greenblatt, is in the region to discuss the peace process with leaders there. His meeting with Netanyahu was a “general check-in on peace conversations,” the official said. (Read more from “U.S. ‘Discouraging’ Greater Jerusalem Bill, Official Says” HERE)

Surrogate Mom Gives Birth to Own Biological Son

A woman who gave birth to her own child at the same time as she delivered a surrogate baby has been reunited with her son after a long legal battle.

“I was heartbroken knowing I carried a baby I didn’t know was mine and that he was taken from me without my knowledge and was in the arms of other people where he did not belong,” Jessica Allen told The Independent.

The 31-year-old had decided to undergo a commercial surrogacy so that she could put the money towards a deposit on a home with her partner Wardell Jasper, 34.

The practice is legal in California where they live and Ms Allen, who already had two children of her own, agreed a fee of $35,000 (£26,600) to give birth to another woman’s child.

But after undergoing in vitro fertilisation (IVF), doctors told Ms Allen she was carrying two baby boys. (Read more from “Surrogate Mom Gives Birth to Own Biological Son” HERE)

Pentagon Makes Big Admission About Women in Combat

A new Pentagon report that recommends including women in the Selective Service registration for any future draft includes a backhanded admission that females cannot meet the same combat standards as men.

The “Report on the Purpose and Utility of a Registration System for Military Selective Service” concludes the present volunteer military is serving the nation’s needs, but it says a draft always should remain an option because of the potential for future threats.

The report aligns with the Obama administration’s use of the military for social experimentation, with women in combat and tip-of-the-spear roles previously occupied by men, allowance of transgenders, open homosexuality and more.

It means that while President Trump has moved away from such experimentation, the holdovers from the previous administration still have authority.

The new report states: “Under current law, women may serve voluntarily in the U.S. Armed Forces but are not, and never have been, required to register for selective service. Since the ban on women in combat was lifted [by Obama], the merits of including women in the requirement to register for the draft have been hotly debated in the media and in the halls of Congress.” (Read more from “Pentagon Makes Big Admission About Women in Combat” HERE)

First Charges Approved in Robert Mueller’s Russia Probe With Plans to Take People Involved Into Custody

By Ginger Adams Otis. The first round of charges in special counsel Robert Mueller’s ongoing investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 election were approved Friday – but it’s still not known what they are or who they target . . .

The special counsel has been digging into allegations of Russian involvement in the 2016 presidential campaign since May.

Mueller has been focusing on potential collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

The President is also part of the probe for possible obstruction of justice for his alleged efforts to impede the investigation . . .

In addition to Mueller’s probe, three committees on Capitol Hill are conducting their own investigations. (Read more from “First Charges Approved in Robert Mueller’s Russia Probe With Plans to Take People Involved Into Custody” HERE)

Third Woman Accuses George H.W. Bush of Groping Her, Was Asked to ‘Be Discreet’

. . .In 2014, author Christina Baker Kline was invited to a fundraiser for the Barbara Bush Foundation for Family Literacy in Houston.

After a luncheon and having met former First Lady Barbara Bush, she and her husband then met the former president for a photo op. He told her that she was “beautiful” and she thanked him. After confirming with her that she was a writer, he then whispered, “You wanna know my favorite book?”

With “impeccable” comic timing, Bush reached his arm around her lower back, “squeezed [her] butt hard,” and answered “David Cop-A-Feel” as the photographer took the picture.

Afterwards, a woman who claimed to be a friend of the Bush family drove her and her husband back to their hotel. It wasn’t until they were in the car that Kline told her husband what had occurred . . .

“Our driver, who was stopped at a light, sat there for a moment, then leaned back and looked at us. ‘I do trust you will be … discreet.’
