Hollywood Producer Accused of (Homo)Sexual Misconduct by 8 Former Child Actors

Following reports of sexual molestation from actor Anthony Edwards about his former mentor, Gary Goddard, seven more men have come forward with similar accusations stemming from their time traveling with the producer when they were young boys.

The Los Angeles Times published an article Wednesday in which it adds seven more people, most of whom chose to remain anonymous, to Edwards’ complaints. Goddard, 65, refused to be interviewed, but disputed the allegations through his publicist saying they were “full of innuendo and hearsay. . . .

Mark Driscoll claimed Goddard repeatedly sexually abused him over the course of three years, but declined to give more detail. Bret Nighman claims Goddard attempted to molest him four times before he was 16, culminating in an incident in which he rubbed the boy’s crotch and forced him to do the same to him. Linus Huffman, who acted in Goddard’s production of “Oliver!” at age 13, alleged he attempted to molest him as well.

According to others, Goddard would travel with the boys, specifically during the tour of “Peter Pan.” He would cause a rift between the boys and their parents while orchestrating close sleeping quarters that put the young boys within literal arms length during the night. Several people who worked with Goddard and Edwards on that production revealed, anonymously, that they witnessed the former “ER” and “Top Gun” actor’s assault in one way or another. Additionally, they all claimed to have their own stories about Goddard as well. (Read more from “Hollywood Producer Accused of Sexual Misconduct by 8 Former Child Actors” HERE)

Accuser: Linda Sarsour Said Sexual Harassment ‘Doesn’t Happen to Someone That Looks Like You’

Pro-Palestinian activist Linda Sarsour told an employee who claimed she was sexually harassed that “something like that doesn’t happen to someone who looks like you,” the accuser told Fox News Wednesday night.

Asmi Fathelbab also told “The Story with Martha MacCallum” that Sarsour warned her “that I will never work in New York City ever again for as long as she lives” if Fathelbab pressed her claims.

The alleged harassment occurred in 2009 while Fathelbab was working at the Brooklyn-based Arab American Association. Sarsour was executive director of the organization for 11 years before leaving her position earlier this year.

Fathelbab told The Daily Caller that Sarsour called her a liar and told her the man Fathelbab accused of harassing her “had the right to sue me for false claims” and “had the right to be anywhere in the building he wanted.”

Sarsour responded to The Daily Caller story Monday with a Twitter post calling it “a new low.”

US Commandos Train to Capture North Korean Nukes

U.S. military forces reportedly trained earlier this month for a mission that would put them on North Korean soil, with the objective of “infiltrating” and “removing weapons of mass destruction,” according to foreign military sources.

Revealing photos of a recent exercise, dubbed Warrior Strike IX, show a U.S. military unit known as “The Black Jack Brigade” training alongside their South Korean counterparts at Camp Stanley, in Korea. The pictures were featured in a post on the unit’s Facebook page.

The images show soldiers training with night-vision equipment, armored vehicles and full-face protective gear, including gas masks. Descriptions of the event suggest soldiers practiced for eventualities such as transporting injured comrades and capturing combatants.

According to South Korea’s Yonhap news agency, which quoted anonymous military sources, the combined exercise was designed to simulate “infiltrating North Korea and removing weapons of mass destruction in case of conflict.” An Army spokesperson stationed in South Korea declined to comment.

Secretary of State Rex Tillerson has suggested repeatedly that one of his main goals in Korea was to avoid sending U.S. forces into North Korean territory. But he also seemed to concede last week that is a scenario that might need to be addressed. (Read more from “US Commandos Train to Capture North Korean Nukes” HERE)

Professor: Princes in ‘Snow White,’ ‘Sleeping Beauty’ Sex Offenders

Seemingly perfect for the current atmosphere of the “#MeToo” movement, a Japanese sociology and gender theory professor says that stories such as “Snow White” and “Sleeping Beauty” feature examples of sexual assault by the male protagonists.

Osaka University’s Kazue Muta, author of Sir, That Love is Sexual Harassment! which deals with workplace sexual harassment, “accused the princes in each story of sexual assault” in a December 11 tweet. She compared them to a “real incident in which a man in Wakayama was arrested for kissing a sleeping woman on the train” Sora News 24 reports.

The tweet’s translation says “When you think rationally about Snow White and Sleeping Beauty, that tell of a ‘princess being woken up by the kiss of a prince,’ they are describing sexual assault on an unconscious person. You might think I’m ruining the fantasy of it all, but these stories are promoting sexual violence and I would like everyone to be aware of it.”

From the story:

However, upon reading into these tales there is a little more going on. In the Grimm version of Snow White no kiss takes place at all. Instead the Prince just moves her glass coffin which jostles her, dislodges the poison apple, and wakes her up. Granted the fact that he wanted her corpse in the first place is suspicious, but not enough to condemn him outright.

Journalist Shot Dead at Child’s Christmas Pageant

A Mexican journalist has been shot dead while he attended his son’s school Christmas pageant as attacks on the country’s press continue unabated.

Gumaro Pérez Aguilando was attending the school event in the town of Acayucan on Tuesday, when a pair of gunmen burst into the building and killed him in front of a classroom full of schoolchildren, witnesses told local media.

His death marked the 12th murder of a media worker in Mexico in 2017, according to the press freedom organisation Reporters Without Borders (RSF). The killing puts Mexico alongside Syria as the most murderous country for journalists, according to RSF.

Pérez covered police matters for several publications and founded the news site La Voz del Sur in the violent city of Acayucan, in Veracruz state, where drug cartel and organised crime activities have been rife. He also worked in the communications department of the local government.

Pérez had not reported any threats against him, said Ana Laura Pérez Mendoza, president of the State Commission for the Care and Protection of Journalists. (Read more from “Journalist Shot Dead at Child’s Christmas Pageant” HERE)

Angry Parents Pull Kids out of School Over Ivanka Trump Visit

By The Hill. Some Connecticut parents reportedly pulled their kids out of school after first daughter and presidential adviser Ivanka Trump made a surprise visit.

Trump on Monday spoke to high school students at the Norwalk Early College Academy, a program at Norwalk High School that allows students to earn a high school diploma and associate’s degree in software engineering.

The visit was kept quiet due to security concerns, according to New Jersey’s News 12, which reported that parents who opposed the president’s views were upset that they did not know about the visit. (Read more from “Angry Parents Pull Kids out of School Over Ivanka Trump Visit” HERE)

Parents Upset Over Ivanka Trump’s Surprise School Visit

By Megan Trimble. A surprise visit from Ivanka Trump has reportedly left some parents of Connecticut high schoolers upset.

Trump, the president’s daughter and a senior White House adviser, earlier this week made an unannounced appearance at Norwalk Early College Academy at Norwalk High School. Local media reported the impromptu trip left parents upset, saying they should have been notified in advance that Trump would be at the school.

One parent, Karey Fitzgerald, told News 12 in Connecticut that she understood security concerns but would have appreciated being fully informed.

“This should have been brought to our attention, although I do understand security reasons,” she said.

Fitzgerald continued: “I think we should have had the choice to send our child to school or keep them home.” (Read more from “Parents Upset Over Ivanka Trump’s Surprise School Visit” HERE)

Democrat’s Staff Say They Feared Reporting Harassment

Los Angeles-area Congressman Brad Sherman says none of his staff ever complained about longtime aide and California Assemblyman Matt Dababneh, who’s been accused of sexual harassment while working in the congressman’s district office.

Eight former aides said the environment in Sherman’s D.C. and California offices was so toxic, it was laughable to think junior staff would have felt comfortable raising concerns about harassment – or anything else.

“Congressman Sherman showed zero interest in the personal well-being of his staffers and there’s no reason to believe he would have cared or taken any action if a complaint was made,” said one former staffer.

Dababneh, who is resigning from the Assembly in the wake of several allegations against him, including sexual assault, was known to be one of Sherman’s closest and most trusted employees. While no one suggested the 11-term congressman was aware of Dababneh’s alleged conduct, three former staffers doubted he would have responded well to criticism of his onetime district director.

Among aides, Dababneh was known to date a lot of women, according to Lauren Attard, Sherman’s former legislative counsel. Another former aide says she remembered “being shocked with the way [Dababneh] spoke.” While she couldn’t recall the specifics of what he said, the aide said “he made me feel uncomfortable and I still remember it.” (Read more from “Democrat’s Staff Say They Feared Reporting Harassment” HERE)

Trump Has Ben Carson Show Reporters How to Pray

President Trump invited reporters at the White House to remain in his Cabinet meeting Wednesday while Housing and Urban Development Secretary Ben Carson prayed . . .

During his Cabinet meeting, he described some of the projects his administration has accomplished and more that are in the works.

Then he said: “With that I’m going to ask Ben Carson … you can stay if you want to, because you need the prayer more than I do. I think you may be the only ones.

“Maybe a good solid prayer, and they’ll be honest then. Is that possible?”

Carson then began: “Our kind Father in Heaven, we’re so thankful for the opportunities and the freedom that you’ve granted us in this country. We thank you for the president and for Cabinet members who are courageous, who are willing to face the winds of controversy in order to provide a better future for those who come after.” (Read more from “Trump Has Ben Carson Show Reporters How to Pray” HERE)

For the ninth consecutive year, Americans say “whatever” is the most annoying word or phrase used in casual conversation. But, fewer Americans feel that way than in previous years. Residents under the age of 45, compared with their older counterparts, do not find the word all that bothersome.

The recent addition of “fake news” takes second place with 23% followed closely by “no offense, but” with 20%. 11% think “literally” is the most grating word used in conversation while 10% assert “you know what I mean” is the most agitating.

In 2016, “whatever” received 38% to 20% for “no offense, but.” “Ya know, right” and “I can’t even” each garnered 14%. Woman Has Baby Born From 24-Year-Old Frozen Embryo

A Tennessee couple has welcomed a baby girl who grew from the longest-frozen embryo to ever result in a birth.

Benjamin and Tina Gibson’s daughter, Emma Wren, weighed 6 pounds, 8 ounces when she came into the world on November 25.

Prior to being transferred into Tina’s uterus at the National Embryo Donation Center in Knoxville earlier this year, the embryo Emma grew from had been cryo-preserved for more than 24 years, according to a news release.

And, according to research staff at the University of Tennessee Preston Medical Library, that makes her the all-time record holder for the longest-frozen embryo to result in birth.

The National Embryo Donation Center says it has helped produce more pregnancies through embryo adoption, nearly 700, than any other organization or clinic. (Read more from “Woman Has Baby Born From 24-Year-Old Frozen Embryo” HERE)
