Chick-Fil-A Broke From Tradition and Opened on a Sunday — and There’s an Incredible Backstory

With the world’s busiest airport closed for hours without power, stranding thousands of passengers, Chick-fil-A broke one of its core rules this past weekend and served fried chicken on a Sunday.

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport lost power Sunday afternoon, causing more than 1,000 flights to be grounded. As day turned to night, the city of Atlanta turned to Chick-fil-A to help craft a solution.

Atlanta’s mayor, Kasim Reed, called the fast-food chain at about 10 p.m. and asked for assistance, a company spokeswoman, Amanda Hannah, told Business Insider in an email.

Chick-fil-A is not open on Sunday because of the founder’s religious beliefs. But on this Sunday, Chick-fil-A employees “immediately mobilized,” Hannah said, making sandwiches and delivering them to an emergency operations center to be distributed to stranded passengers.

“It has been a very difficult day for thousands of travelers,” Hannah said. “And while Chick-fil-A is always closed on Sunday, our restaurants open occasionally to serve communities in need.” (Read more from “Chick-Fil-A Broke From Tradition and Opened on a Sunday — and There’s an Incredible Backstory” HERE)

Trump Transition Lawyer: Mueller Improperly Obtained Documents in Russia Probe

A lawyer for the Trump presidential transition team is accusing Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s office of inappropriately obtaining transition documents as part of its Russia probe, including confidential attorney-client communications, privileged communications and thousands of emails without their knowledge.

In a letter obtained by Fox News and sent to House and Senate committees on Saturday, the transition team’s attorney alleges “unlawful conduct” by the career staff at the General Services Administration (GSA) in handing over transition documents to the special counsel’s office.

Kory Langhofer, the counsel to Trump for America (TFA), argues the GSA “did not own or control the records in question” and the release of documents could be a violation of the Fourth Amendment – which protects against unreasonable searches and seizures.

Langhofer wrote in Saturday’s letter that the GSA handed over “tens of thousands of emails” to Mueller’s probe without “any notice” to the transition.

The attorney said they discovered the “unauthorized disclosures” by the GSA on Dec. 12 and 13 and raised concerns with the special counsel’s office. The Associated Press reported that the GSA turned over a flash drive containing tens of thousands of records on Sept. 1 after receiving requests from Mueller’s office in late August. Trump Drops Climate Change From List of National-Security Threats

President Trump announced Monday a new national security strategy for the United States, focusing on protecting the homeland and the American way of life, promoting American prosperity, preserving peace through strength and advancing the influence of America . . .

Obama once told Coast Guard personnel “climate change constitutes a serious threat to global security, an immediate risk to national security.”

“We need to act and we need to act now,” he declared. “Isn’t that the true hallmark of leadership. When you’re on deck, you stay vigilant, you plan for every contingency. If you see storm clouds gathering … you don’t sit back and do nothing. You take action. Anything less is negligence. It is a dereliction of duty . . .

Trump, however, referenced climate change only briefly, when he said, climate policies “will continue to shape the global energy system.”

“U.S. leadership is indispensable to countering an anti-growth energy agenda that is detrimental to U.S. economic and energy security interests,” he said. “Given future global energy demand, much of the developing world will require fossil fuels, as well as other forms of energy, to power their economies and lift their people out of poverty.” (Read more from “Trump Drops Climate Change From List of National-Security Threats” HERE)

Trump Sex Accuser Begged to Be His Make up Artist a Year Ago

A New York cosmetics executive who publicly alleged Donald Trump sexually assaulted her in the 1990s repeatedly solicited the future president to become his campaign makeup artist and to pitch her new product line in the months before her story roiled the 2016 race, according to the woman and her contemporaneous emails.

“Hi Donald, you are doing a tremendous job of shaking things up in the United States. I am definitely on Team Trump as so many others are,” Jill Harth wrote the future president in an Oct. 1, 2015, email sent to him through his New York company’s headquarters.

“I can’t watch television without seeing you or hearing your name everywhere! It’s a good thing for sure but PLEASE let me do your makeup for a television interview, a debate, a photo session, anything!” Harth wrote.

“It kills me to see you looking too orange and with white circles under the eyes. I will get your skin looking smoother and even toned,” she added, boasting she would “sculpt your face” to look good on high-definition television sets.

In another email seeking to meet Trump personally, Harth offered to be a campaign surrogate willing to tell voters how the future president “helped me with my self-confidence and all positive things about how he is with women.” (Read more from “Trump Sex Accuser Begged to Be His Make up Artist a Year Ago” HERE)

Amtrak Train Derails, Dangles Over Interstate in Washington

At least six people died when an Amtrak train with 78 passengers and five crew members on its inaugural trip on a new line from Seattle to Portland, Oregon, derailed and fell onto traffic from an overpass of Interstate 5 just north of the Washington state capital, Olympia.

All of the surviving passengers were taken to hospitals in Pierce and Thurston Counties, including at least four who sustained severe injuries.

Pierce County sheriff’s Det. Ed Troyer said the train struck several vehicles on Interstate 5, but nobody in the vehicles died.

A U.S. official told the Associated Press preliminary signs indicate the train may have struck something before going off the tracks.

The Washington state Department of Transportation said the train was running on a new bypass that was created to avoid slow curves and single track tunnels on the BNSF Railway main line tracks near Point Defiance and along southern Puget Sound, the Seattle Times reported. Now Lois Lerner’s Secret Comments Targeted

A Washington watchdog that has been fighting for the public’s right to know the who, what, when, where and why of the IRS campaign to badger and bully tea-party and other conservative groups about the time they wanted to oppose Barack Obama’s re-election bid in 2012 is going back into court to try to unseal whatever explanation may or may not have come from Lois Lerner, who headed the tax-exempt division of the IRS then.

Judicial Watch confirmed Monday it has filed a friend-of-the-court brief in another case in which the depositions of Lerner and her aide, Holly Paz, were targeted.

“Both played key roles in the targeting of conservative nonprofit groups opposed to Obama policies in the run-up to the 2012 presidential election,” Judicial Watch explained.

The organization submitted its request in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio, Western Division, where a case already was underway by the NorCal Tea Party Patriots.

That’s a class-action lawsuit demanding that the public be given access to the depositions from Lerner and Paz, who both answered a number of still-unknown questions about how the program began, who ordered it to happen, and why. (Read more from “Now Lois Lerner’s Secret Comments Targeted” HERE)

NYT: Anti-Mueller ‘Drunks’ With ‘Conspiracy Theories’

Downplay things we don’t like … In the past month, evidence has continued to pile up of rampant partisanship within the Justice Department during the 2016 election and by those same people who now find themselves on Robert Mueller’s special counsel team. We have learned about the watering down of Hillary Clinton’s misuse of a private email server and people involved in investigating the 2016 election plotting an “insurance policy” for if Trump won. Faced with those bombshell facts, the leftist media has retreated into full protection mode. I’ve highlighted how folks like Brian Stelter deride any mention of these things — and how they compromise Mueller’s investigation — as “conspiracy theories.” Now the New York Times editorial board has joined the fray.

NewsBusters highlights how the Times has resorted to calling Fox News personalities drunken conspiracy theorists. That is straight-up Alinsky. Rule 5 for Radicals: “‘Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.’ There is no defense. It’s irrational. It’s infuriating. It also works as a key pressure point to force the enemy into concessions.” Don’t argue on facts, argue on feelings; argue on what you want the truth to be.

Times says Obama lied only 18 times as president … If you needed another data point on the level of duplicity at the New York Times, here it is. The Times published a look at the lies of Donald Trump vs. the lies of Barack Obama. The Times could only come up with 18 lies over the entire presidency of Barack Obama. Sorry for making you snort out your coffee when you guffawed. Yes, only 18. You need to read this infuriating piece lest you think I’m lying.

Cleaning its own house … Vanity Fair reports on the NY Times’ investigation into accusations of sexual misconduct against Glenn Thrush. The Times is expected to finish its investigation “before Christmas.” The piece highlights that Times employees think there is a difference between Thrush and what Matt Lauer and others have been accused of. It seems like the Times is trying to make every effort to keep Thrush. Time will tell. (For more from the author of “NYT: Anti-Mueller ‘Drunks’ With ‘Conspiracy Theories'” please click HERE)

UN Peacekeepers Coming to US? Chicago Official Meets With UN Asst. Secretary General, Requests Deployment of UN Troops

Chicago official, Cook County Commissioner Richard Boykin recently met with the Assistant Secretary General of the United Nations during which he requested that the world governing body send troops onto the violence-plagued streets of Chicago.

While no one can deny the fact that Chicago is essentially a war zone, the fact that a liberal city commissioner is planning to use United Nations peacekeepers to confront said violence should send shockwaves down the spine of any freedom-loving American.

“We are headed to the United Nations to meet with the assistant secretary general to talk about the violence in Chicago, the gun violence in particular, the bloodshed that is taking place in too many of our communities,” Boykin said at a press conference before the meeting.

Boykin then went on to stunningly reveal that he is actually seeking to have the United Nations police the civilian population in Chicago.

“I’m hoping to appeal to the UN to actually come to Chicago and meet with victims of violence, and maybe even possibly help out in terms of peacekeeping efforts,” Boykin continued.

After being asked by a reporter why he believes using UN troops to curb violence rather than actual American police would be a good idea, Boykin revealed that he does indeed want the requested troops to essentially become the police in Chicago.

“They have been able to help in places like Africa, where they have sent troops in, sent forces in, to help protect minority and vulnerable populations, so frankly I think the same can be said for here in Chicago,” said Boykin.

While so-called conspiracy theorists have long believed that globalist forces would eventually send United Nations troops to the streets of America, we now have absolute, 100% proof that this is indeed the plan.

Liberal leaders in Chicago are now openly planning to declare martial law, complete with UN shock troops on the streets to police the American population. Now ‘Jingle Bells’ Is Being Called Racist

According to one college professor, the age-old Christmas carol “Jingle Bells” is actually steeped in white supremacy.

Writing in her “Theatre Survey” research paper, Boston University theater professor Kyna Hamill explained the racist background of the beloved Christmas song.

“The legacy of ‘Jingle Bells’ is one where its blackface and racist origins have been subtly and systematically removed from its history,” Hamill said, claiming the song has a “problematic history.”

She believes “Jingle Bells” was first performed to make fun of African-Americans.

Hamill went on to cite specific parts of the song that allegedly had racist origins.

“Although ‘One Horse Open Sleigh,’ for most of its singers and listeners, may have eluded its racialized past and taken its place in the seemingly unproblematic romanticization of a normal ‘white’ Christmas, attention to the circumstances of its performance history enables reflection on its problematic role in the construction of blackness and whiteness in the United States,” she wrote.

The in-depth analysis didn’t end there.

The BU theater historian began researching the history of the longtime Christmas carol after a so-called “Jingle Bells War” – a conflict between two cities: Savannah, Georgia and Medford, Massachusetts – that is purportedly the birthplace of the song created by James Pierpont.

“Its origins emerged from the economic needs of a perpetually unsuccessful man, the racial politics of antebellum Boston, the city’s climate, and the intertheatrical repertoire of commercial blackface performers moving between Boston and New York,” Hamill wrote, using sophisticated language for an otherwise ridiculous subject matter.

The professor contended that the song’s lyrics “display no real originality,” and believes lines such as “dashing through the snow” and “Miss Fanny Bright” connect the song to blackface dandy.

“Words such as ‘thro,’ ‘tho’t,’ and ‘upsot’ suggest a racialized performance that attempted to sound ‘southern’ to a northern audience,” Hamill continued.

“As I mentioned in my article, the first documented performance of the song is in a blackface minstrel hall in Boston in 1857, the same year it was copyrighted,” Hamill told Fox News.

“Much research has been done on the problematic history of this nineteenth-century entertainment.”

The research paper, which has been public for two years, was widely lampooned across social media.

According to her university biography, Hamill is currently working on a collection of essays regarding the “intersections of Theater and War.” (For more from the author of “Now ‘Jingle Bells’ Is Being Called Racist” please click HERE)

Big Brother Installing Surveillance Cameras in Places of Worship

Forget the fact, that minsters, priests, rabbis, etc., are secretly spying on worshipers. Forget the fact that places of worship want their own police force. And, finally, forget the fact that places of worship are paying the government a $100 dollars a month to spy on families.

Because, now, Big Brother has convinced places of worship to install surveillance cameras to spy on their followers.

Big Brother’s surveillance of religions would make the old NKVD blush with envy.

A recent article in The Advocate, warns that Project NOLA plans to install more than 100 surveillance cameras in places of worship.

ProjectNOLA, an independent, nonprofit crime camera network, has been seeking — and has begun to find — financial support for a plan that would place such cameras on more than 100 places of worship… (Source)

Project NOLA’s first phase is to spend $1 million dollars on surveillance cameras in places of worship.

A key component of the partnership’s $1 million first phase is a plan to expand the nearly nine-year-old ProjectNOLA camera network.

Big Brother wants surveillance cameras in every place of worship.

Equipping every church in New Orleans with a surveillance camera is one of the goals of the NOLA Partnership for Public Safety and Peace. (Source)

Just think about that for a moment, soon every place of worship will have surveillance cameras. Even Orwell’s book 1984 wasn’t that grim.

Who needs God’s all-seeing eye, when the police can do it for him in real-time?

The above video shows how law enforcement has been using Project NOLA to spy on citizens in real-time since 2011.

Church surveillance cameras, combined with license plate readers, will give Big Brother unimaginable real-time spying capabilities.

It appears that Project NOLA is mirrored after DHS’s ‘See Something Say Something’ program that encourages businesses and homeowners to spy on one another.

As I mentioned two months ago, Project NOLA has been so successful that it appears DHS has copied it and renamed it “Virtual Block Watch” (VBW).

Virtual Block Watch is law enforcement’s latest national surveillance program that encourages the public to use surveillance cameras to spy on one another.

Nothing says police state quite like Project NOLA making $200,000 annually on surveillance camera maintenance fees.

First off, Project NOLA was designed by former police officer Bryan LaGarde who charged homeowners and businesses $346.00 dollars for a “crime camera kit.”

A surveillance network designed by a police officer? Nothing suspicious about that, right?

Project NOLA also claims to be “the largest networked HD city-wide crime camera system in America.”

And just like Project NOLA, VBW wants businesses and residents to purchase and install their own surveillance cameras.

But VBW has taken police spying to a whole new level.

Police are asking homeowners and businesses to install four surveillance cameras.

Police suggest that three houses in each block have surveillance cameras and each house has a set of four cameras.

Cameras are attached to houses on each end of a city block and then a third house in the middle. (Source)

Do police really need another surveillance system to spy on everyone?

FYI: NVIDIA is planning on turning police vehicles into 360 degree facial recognition cameras.

Please don’t be fooled by whatever names law enforcement calls them. Hopefully, most of us know what their real names are: ‘Project DHS’ and ‘Police Surveillance Watch.’

Americans need more privacy not less. (For more from the author of “Big Brother Installing Surveillance Cameras in Places of Worship” please click HERE)
