Here’s What the Powder-Filled Letter Sent to Donald Trump Jr. Said

By NBC News. An envelope with suspicious powder sent to one of President Donald Trump’s sons also included a threatening note, senior law enforcement officials told NBC News.

“You are an awful, awful person. I am surprised that your father lets you speak on TV,” the note to Donald Trump Jr. said, according to the officials.

It also said: “You the family idiot. Eric looks smart. This is the reason why people hate you. You are getting what you deserve. So shut the f*** up.” . . .

New York police said the white powder in the envelope was deemed to be nonhazardous and was taken to a lab for more testing. It appeared to contain corn starch, senior law enforcement officials said. (Read more from “Here’s What the Powder-Filled Letter Sent to Donald Trump Jr. Said” HERE)

Here’s What Was Reportedly Written on the Letter Containing White Powder Sent to Donald Trump Jr.

By New York Post. The letter to Donald Trump Jr. that contained a suspicious white powder and landed his wife in the hospital said, “You are getting what you deserve,’’ according to law-enforcement sources . . .

The note, in an envelope postmarked in Boston, was delivered to the Upper East Side home of Donald Jr.’s mother-in-law at around 10 a.m. Monday, officials said . . .

The letter was not sent directly to the couple’s own Manhattan address, because it was more likely to get through security, according to the sources.

“This is not a secure site,’’ a source had said of the Sutton Place home of Vanessa’s mom, Bonnie Haydon. (Read more from “Here’s What Was Reportedly Written on the Letter Containing White Powder Sent to Donald Trump Jr.” HERE)

U.S. Jet Obliterates Russian Tank in ‘Self-Defense’ in Syria

A U.S. fighter jet operating in Syria destroyed a Russian-built tank over the weekend in an act that officials described as self-defense.

Fox News’ Lucas Tomlinson first reported the destruction of the tank, noting that the tanks’ three-man crew were all killed in the strike inside. What makes this incident noteworthy is the fact that it is unclear who was operating the tank, whether it was the Syrian government, forces loyal to the Syrian government, or members of the Russian military . . .

The tank was reportedly destroyed after “pro-regime forces” launched an attack on U.S. special forces last week, which prompted the U.S. to respond “with a furious barrage of air and artillery strikes and reported killing 100 pro-government troops, but sources told Bloomberg on Saturday that as many as 200 or 300 Russian mercenaries were killed in the attack.” (Read more from “U.S. Jet Obliterates Russian Tank in ‘Self-Defense’ in Syria” HERE)

Kansas Election Officials Bar Dog from Running for Governor

Kansas election officials on Tuesday barred a dog from running for governor, saying such a candidate would be disqualified even if there are no actual state laws prohibiting the animal from running.

Terran Woolley, the dog’s owner, used the state’s oversight to file the paperwork that would allow his 3-year-old wire-haired Visla named Angus P. Woolley to run.

“I thought, ‘Hey, why not Angus? He’s a good dog, he’s smart. And I think he could provide better leadership than what we’ve had the last seven years in our state,’ ” Woolley told The Hutchinson News . . .

Bryan Caskey, director of elections for the Kansas secretary of state’s office, told The Kansas City Star on Tuesday that “there’s several laws that reference that the governor has to be an individual or a person, and so we are relying on that, and if a dog comes in to file for office, we will not allow that.”

Caskey told the newspaper last year that he does not “know what would happen if [a dog] tried to” run. “I can’t point you to a law that says anything about the qualifications to run for governor.” (Read more from “Kansas Election Officials Bar Dog from Running for Governor” HERE)

Parents Fight for Custody of Child to Stop Transgender Hormone Therapy

Ohio parents are battling for custody of their biological daughter who claims she is transgender, identifying as a boy. The 17-year-old is currently living with her maternal grandparents and under temporary legal custody of Hamilton County Job and Family Services.

The teen claims she became suicidal over her parents’ lack of support regarding her gender identity, including refusing to call her by her new chosen name. She was first hospitalized in 2016 and has been diagnosed with depression, anxiety, and gender dysphoria. The girl’s medical team claims she’s in “a possible life-or-death situation,” reports CNN.

The grandparents believe “treatment” and hormone therapy might be medically necessary for the girl.

“We think the grandparents are the ones who have an open mind and will … make this sort of decision best for the child,” said attorney Paul Hunt, the teen’s court-appointed guardian. “The parents have clearly indicated that they’re not open to it.”

Karen Brinkman, an attorney representing the parents, argued that due to the girl’s clearly unstable mental state, “it does not appear that this child is even close to being able to make such a life-altering decision at this time.” (Read more from “Parents Fight for Custody of Child to Stop Transgender Hormone Therapy” HERE)

Trump’s Lawyer Says He Paid Stormy Daniels $130,000 out of Own Pocket

The latest twist in the tangled tale of what happened between President Donald Trump and an adult film star more than a decade ago has taken a new turn Tuesday, with Trump’s longtime personal lawyer claiming that he paid the porn star $130,000 out of his own pocket.

Michael Cohen, the lawyer who worked for Trump for over a decade, said in a statement obtained by Fox News that the 2016 transaction with Stomy Daniels was lawful and not a campaign contribution or campaign expenditure “by anyone.”

“Neither the Trump Organization nor the Trump campaign was a party to the transaction with Ms. Clifford, and neither reimbursed me for the payment, either directly or indirectly,” the statement read.

Trump met Stephanie Clifford, who goes by the name Stormy Daniels in films, at a golf event in 2006 — a year after Trump’s marriage to his wife, Melania. According to The Wall Street Journal’s report, Clifford began talking with ABC News in the fall of 2016 for a story involving an alleged relationship with Trump, but reached a $130,000 deal a month before the election, which prevented her from going public. Judge Strikes ‘Scandalous’ Reference to Group’s Terror Ties

The FBI has provided an abundance of evidence that the Council on American-Islamic Relations is a front for the Muslim Brotherhood and its Palestinian branch, Hamas.

And even a Persian Gulf state, the United Arab Emirates, has designated the Washington, D.C.-based organization a terrorist group, putting it in the same category as al-Qaida and ISIS.

But when parents suing the San Diego Unified School District for its alliance with CAIR in an anti-bullying and “anti-Islamophobia” program inserted a reference to CAIR’s terrorist ties in their complaint, a federal judge objected.

San Diego school officials complained that the citation of CAIR’s formation by Hamas operatives in the United States as a propaganda organ and the fact that more than a dozen former CAIR figures have been charged with terrorism-related crimes is “impertinent, immaterial and scandalous,” designed only to “inflame the public,” reported the Investigative Project on Terrorism, IPT.

U.S. District Judge Cynthia Bashant agreed, striking references to CAIR’s radical ties because they are “likely intended to ‘besmirch’ Defendants and cast them in a derogatory light based on SDUSD’s relationship with CAIR.” (Read more from “Judge Strikes ‘Scandalous’ Reference to Group’s Terror Ties” HERE)

The Origin of Valentine’s Day Is Not What You Think

. . .During the first three centuries of Christianity, there were 10 major persecutions in which the government threw Christians to the lions, boiled them alive, had their tongues cut out, and worse. Christian writings, scriptures and historical records were destroyed.

Because so many records were destroyed, details of Saint Valentine’s life are scant. What little is know was passed down and finally printed in the year 1260 in “Legenda Sanctorum” by Jacobus de Voragine, and in the Nuremberg Chronicle, 1493.

Saint Valentine was either a priest in Rome or a bishop in Terni, central Italy. He risked the Emperor’s wrath by standing up for traditional marriage, secretly marrying soldiers to their young brides. When Emperor Claudius demanded that Christians deny their consciences and worship pagan idols, Saint Valentine refused. Saint Valentine was arrested, dragged before the Prefect of Rome, and condemned him to die.

While awaiting execution, his jailer, Asterius, asked Saint Valentine to pray for his blind daughter. When she miraculously regained her sight, the jailer converted and was baptized, along with many others. Right before his execution, Saint Valentine wrote a note to the jailer’s daughter, signing it, “from your Valentine.”

Saint Valentine was beaten with clubs and stones, and when that failed to kill him, he was beheaded outside the Flaminian Gate on Feb. 14, 269 A.D. (Read more from “The Origin of Valentine’s Day Is Not What You Think” HERE)

‘The View’ Host Mock Pence’s Faith as ‘Mental Illness’

The women of ABC News’ “The View” took a shot a Vice President Mike Pence’s Christian faith on Tuesday, mocking the former governor of Indiana for talking to Jesus and even calling it a “mental illness.”

It all started when they played a clip from “Celebrity Big Brother,” in which former White House staffer Omarosa Manigault Newman discussed the vice president . . .

Joy Behar then said: “It’s one thing to talk to Jesus. It’s another thing when Jesus talks to you.”

Behar said hearing voices is a “mental illness” before Sherri Shepard offered a limited defense of Pence.

“As a Christian, that’s just par for the course,” Shepard said “You talk to Jesus, Jesus talks back. What concerns me is, how long is the conversation with Jesus?” (Read more from “‘The View’ Host Mock Pence’s Faith as ‘Mental Illness'” HERE)

Students Afraid to Express Support for Trump’s Border Wall

This year, much of the gridlock in Washington has centered around the inability of Congress to reach an agreement on immigration reform—particularly the idea of building a wall along the southern border.

Wanting to find out if college students would be as divided on the issue, Campus Reform headed to Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, to ask a simple question: What would you like to see on the border? . . .

While a few admitted off-camera that they like the idea of a wall, they refused to offer support for it on the record, citing fears that others on campus would ostracize them.

While some simply advocated for increased security, others immediately turned to “open borders” as the solution.

Girl Declared Dead While Alive Reawakens Another Famous Case

A foundation advocating for the disabled is accusing the New Yorker of presenting “fact-free assertions” that mislead readers about the death of Terri Schindler Schiavo.

WND has reported extensively on Schiavo, most recently when her brother, Bobby Schindler, lobbied for 11-month-old infant Charlie Gard, who died after Britain’s High Court ruled a hospital could take him off life support, even though his parents had raised more than $1.8 million to transfer him to the U.S. for treatment. Schiavo died after a court allowed doctors to withhold food and water . . .

The New Yorker piece focused on the case of Jahi McMath, who was declared dead after a tonsillectomy.

However, a judge later ordered a trial, which is coming in a few weeks, since McMath has been kept on life support by her family. An expert now has concluded that while she may have met the definition of death several years ago after her surgery, she no longer does . . .

Evidence shows that her heart rate speeds up when her mother talks to her, and she is able to respond to instructions to move her fingers or toes. There’s also been an absence of decomposition. (Read more from “Girl Declared Dead While Alive Reawakens Another Famous Case” HERE)
