Uber for Abortions? Volunteer Service Drives Women to Clinics

Uber may not drive women to get abortions, but a volunteer service headed by abortion fanatics does.

According to HuffPo, in some rural states where the nearest abortion clinic sits miles away from home, volunteers will sometimes offer to drive women using an Uber-like service . . .

One such story involved a woman named Diana, who “belongs to a network of volunteers in a southern state who transport patients on short notice.” When Diana drove a woman named Kim to her scheduled abortion, the clinic could not help her due to certain medical complications Kim had. Diana then drove Kim to the nearest abortion clinic in Washington, D.C., which was also unable to help with her medical condition. Resolved in her quest to kill this child, Diana drove Kim another four hours to New York City where she finally got her desired abortion . . .

Another service that some volunteers provide is opening up their homes to women who travel far to get abortions. In states where abortion is heavily restricted, women have to wait up to 48 or 72 hours after consultation to get their abortions. Many times women will sleep in their cars, since they cannot afford a hotel room. To make the process easier, volunteers will let the women stay in their homes for free. Leaping Elk Crashes Low-Flying Helicopter

Researchers in a low-flying helicopter were trying to net an elk to fit it with a tracking collar when the large animal leapt at the chopper’s tail rotor, bringing the aircraft crashing to the ground.

The incident occurred Monday in Wasatch County, Utah, about 90 miles east of Salt Lake City, according to the Associated Press.

The two people in the helicopter were not seriously injured. The elk died. (Read more from “Leaping Elk Crashes Low-Flying Helicopter” HERE)

Flu Kills up to 4,000 a Week, Causing 1 in 10 Deaths

The amount of influenza ravaging the U.S. this year rivals levels normally seen when an altogether new virus emerges, decimating a vulnerable population that hasn’t had a chance to develop any defenses.

It’s an unexpected phenomenon that public health experts are still trying to decode.

The levels of influenza-like illnesses being reported now are as high as the peak of the swine flu epidemic in 2009, and exceed the last severe seasonal flu outbreak in 2003 when a new strain started circulating, said Anne Schuchat, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s acting director. Swine flu, which swept the globe in 2009 and 2010, sickened 60.8 million Americans, hospitalized 274,304 and killed 12,469, according to CDC data. Deaths from the current outbreak will likely far outstrip those of the 2009-2010 season.

“This is a difficult season, and we can’t predict how much longer the severe season will last,” she said. “I wish there was better news, but everything we are looking at is bad news.”

The primary type of influenza this year hasn’t changed enough from previous seasons to be considered a novel strain, Schuchat said. The agency’s virologists are studying it to determine if there are any other explanations for why it’s been so hard-hitting. The Out-Of-Control Reason a Teacher Is Being Charged with Child Abuse

A Boulder Valley School District teacher now faces child abuse and assault charges for allegedly forcing a child to stand for the Pledge of Allegiance.

Karen Smith, a physical education teacher at Angevine Middle School in Lafayette, was placed on leave earlier this month.

Police say on Feb. 1, Smith grabbed a boy by his jacket, lifting him to his feet, and took him out of class.

A parent waiting to pick her child up at Angevine recently told CBS4 that her daughter knows Smith as a “strict” teacher but has never had an issue. (Read more from “The Out-Of-Control Reason a Teacher Is Being Charged with Child Abuse” HERE)

White House Security Process ‘Broken’

The nation’s top intelligence officials and national security experts warned yesterday that the White House security clearance process — which allowed a former aide accused of domestic assault to handle classified information — is “broken” and poses a national security threat.

“The process is broken,” Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats told lawmakers at a Senate Intelligence Committee hearing yesterday. “It needs to be reformed.”

The warnings came as FBI Director Christopher Wray testified under oath that the White House was given a security assessment of former White House aide Rob Porter nearly a year ago, and again in July and November — contradicting claims by White House officials that they were unaware of abuse allegations by Porter’s ex-wives until last week.

Coats went on to say that in the case of White House officials with interim clearance — a category that reportedly includes dozens of White House staffers including senior aides and Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner — “access has to be limited in terms of the kind of information they can be in a position to receive or not receive.” (Read more from “White House Security Process ‘Broken'” HERE)

Was the DNC Actually Hacked? Trump-Russia Narrative Continues to Collapse

Prior to the publication of the infamous Trump-Russia dossier, the DNC server intrusion and the Podesta email account “hack” were put forward as the first pieces of evidence that Russia was running a weaponized cyber campaign to support then-candidate Trump. But what if these hacking allegations are entirely baseless, just like the “salacious and unverified” allegations in the infamous dossier?

At the tail end of the 2016 presidential election season, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) spun the mainstream media into a frenzy by announcing that its servers had been hacked. The supposedly shocking news came just months after the Gmail account of Hillary Clinton campaign chief John Podesta was “hacked,” resulting in his emails falling into the hands of WikiLeaks. Shortly thereafter, most of the media reported as fact the DNC’s determination that “the Russians” were responsible for the hacking of both the DNC and the Podesta email account.

Since then, many in the media have long concluded, based on the word of a political organization, that Vladimir Putin’s Russia was all in on then-candidate Trump’s electoral ambitions. This of course proved the wild conspiracies in the “Trump-Russia” dossier, too, they rationalized.

The Podesta hack was really a consequence of historically awful information security and complete ignorance. The Clinton campaign chairman was suckered into an amateurish phishing scam, which was reported inaccurately as a sophisticated state-sponsored operation. It was later discovered that his email password was the word “password.”

It has been over a year since the DNC claimed the Russians hacked their servers.

Throughout the past year, the DNC has consistently insisted that the organization was the victim of a major Russian infiltration effort.

Shortly after the time of the reported hack, signs emerged that something was a bit off. The FBI was denied access to the DNC servers. Therefore, federal law enforcement was never able to make an independent determination about what happened. “This left the FBI no choice but to rely upon a third party for information,” a frustrated FBI official vented in reaction to the hacking claims. Even President Obama described the hack as “not particularly sophisticated.”

“This was not some elaborate, complicated espionage scheme,” Obama added.

Moreover, Crowdstrike, the third-party cybersecurity outfit tasked with determining that the Russians hacked the DNC servers, has several organizational ties to passionate supporters of Hillary Clinton’s presidential ambitions.

Now, BuzzFeed, which published the political opposition document known informally as the Trump-Russia dossier, is suing the DNC in hopes that they’ll turn over evidence that shows the Russians hacked the organization. BuzzFeed is in the heat of a libel suit for publishing the completely unproven dossier and apparently hopes that the DNC can support its outlandish claims.

The DNC, however, has chosen not to comply. It claims that providing evidence for the Russian hack would render the organization vulnerable to further hacking.

To recap: The DNC has claimed, without a shred of evidence, that Russians hacked the DNC as part of a sophisticated cyber campaign that threatens the foundations of our republic. All we really know thus far is that John Podesta did not follow basic protocol in securing his email address and that the DNC has not produced any evidence to verify its claims. It could also very well be the case that Russian hackers indeed got to the Democrat entities. However, there is still no evidence that the campaign required much sophistication or that it was directed from the top echelons of the Kremlin. CPAC Bans ‘Pro-Family’ Tone Towards Homosexuals

The highly influential Conservative Political Action Conference, known as CPAC – which has featured presidential candidates and conservative leaders going back to Ronald Reagan – has barred a traditional-family advocacy group from sponsoring the upcoming conference and hosting an exhibit, because its “tone” toward culture-war adversaries “crosses a line.”

CPAC approved the application of Massachusetts-based MassResistance on Jan. 29 to have an exhibit at the event, which begins next Wednesday. But last week, Dan Schneider, the executive director of CPAC’s organizer, the American Conservative Union, told the group the decision had been reversed. Schneider cited a video that surfaced with remarks by MassResistance President Brian Camenker in a panel discussion at a conference in Salt Lake City in November 2015 called Stand4Truth.

One of the panelists, Michael Brown, a WND columnist, said defenders of traditional values should treat adversaries “respectfully,” “speaking the truth in love.” . . .

“I think there’s a place for being insulting and degrading, and I think I can back that up by Scripture,” the MassResistance founder said. “I think we have to look at this as a war, not as a church service.”

Moderator Sandy Rios – the American Family Association’s governmental affairs director, the president of the conservative political action group Culture Campaign, a Fox News Channel contributor and a talk radio host – agreed with Camenker, saying evangelicals “have gotten a little bit soft and not understood warfare.” (Read more from “CPAC Bans ‘Pro-Family’ Tone Towards Homosexuals” HERE)

Illegal Alien Smashes into Ambulance, Killing 3-Year-Old… Where’s the Media?

A drunk driving accident in North Carolina that took the life of a 3-year-old was caused by an illegal immigrant, multiple sources have learned.

Jose Duran Romero, 27, was driving drunk when his Honda Accord slammed into a Mercedes Lifecare ambulance, killing an unnamed 3-year-old boy and injuring the child’s mother and two paramedics.

Romero reportedly blew a 0.19 during a breathalyzer test administered roughly two hours after the crash, according to FOX8 Winston-Salem.

And while it is obvious that Romero shouldn’t have been behind the wheel of the vehicle after being heavily inebriated, there was something else he shouldn’t have been doing — living in the U.S.

The drunk driver is believed to be from El Salvador but had been living in the U.S. illegally at the time of the incident.

After the accident, EMS transported the child, his mother Lyndsay Ann Oakes, and the two paramedics in the ambulance to a local hospital. At 6:05 p.m. Monday the child was pronounced dead. FOX8 noted that the others are all expected to recover.

The ambulance involved in the incident was said to be carrying the young boy and his mother from Wise, Virginia, to Winston-Salem, but it is unknown as to why the ambulance was taking that route.

The crash occurred around 1 a.m. Sunday as Romero’s vehicle was traveling south on U.S. 52, the same road and direction that the ambulance was traveling on. The ambulance overturned as a result of the accident.

A police spokesperson revealed that Romero and a passenger, Andres Leon, fled the scene after the accident.

Romero, who was driving without a license, was charged with driving while intoxicated and driving without a license and was being held on $50,000 bond.

However, as noted by the Winston-Salem Journal, that bond was revoked and he is now being held in Forsyth County Jail as of Monday with no bond allowed.

Fox News reported that it is unknown if charges would be added or upgraded since the passing of the child.

The child’s grandfather, Gary Oakes spoke about the pain caused by his grandson’s death.

“It’s devastating,” Oakes stated.

This recent incident is just one of many in a long line of deaths caused by immigrants living in the U.S. illegally.

The Western Journal reported in January on Luis Enrique Monroy Bracamontes, an illegal immigrant who gunned down two Northern California deputies in 2014.

During his first day of trial in January, Bracamontes smiled, laughed and gloated about the killings. Bracamontes had been arrested and deported multiple times prior to the 2014 crime spree.

And in 2015, illegal immigrant Jose Ines Garcia Zarate fired a shot that fatally struck 32-year-old Kate Steinle, prompting a heated debate on sanctuary cities and the dangers presented with allowing illegal immigrants to live in the United States freely and absent of any repercussions. Caught on Camera: Murder Suspect Sought for 10 Years

A murder suspect who had been on the run for a decade was caught after his image was captured by a video camera and he was matched to the cold case in a computer database, reports Joseph Farah’s G2 Bulletin.

Officials reported that police in Buenos Aires, Argentina, caught the suspect after he was identified as a likely match by INTERPOL’s facial-recognition unit.

The international police agency reported Kristian Daney, 33, a Slovak national, was wanted by Czech authorities for a murder 10 years ago . . .

As part of an investigation by police in Argentina, the agency’s National Central Bureau in Buenos Aires submitted images of the suspect for comparison against records in a worldwide facial-recognition database. (Read more from “Caught on Camera: Murder Suspect Sought for 10 Years” HERE)

U.S. High School Bans ‘Racist’ National Anthem

Student leaders at a California high school have banned America’s “outdated and racially offensive” national anthem from being played at school rallies.

The Associated Student Body at California High School in San Ramon, in the San Francisco Bay Area, blacklisted “The Star-Spangled Banner” over a third verse that is rarely ever played.

“It was brought to our attention that the national anthem’s third verse is outdated and racially offensive,” wrote Ariyana Kermanizadeh in an open letter. “We had nothing but good intentions by removing the song so that we could be fully inclusive to our student body.”

The verse in questions includes the line “No refuge could save the hireling and slave / From the terror of the flight or the gloom of the grave.”

Kermanizadeh wrote: “This verse translated, finds joy in the killing of African-Americans. To think that our nation’s anthem once had the word slave and ‘land of the free’ in the same sentence leaves me speechless.” (Read more from “U.S. High School Bans ‘Racist’ National Anthem” HERE)
