Former Disney Star Joins White House Press Team

By CNN. The White House press office is getting a bit more Sunshine these days — former Disney Channel star Caroline Sunshine, that is. She’s joining the team as a press assistant . . .

She applied to the internship through the White House’s website . . .

President Donald Trump in recent weeks has hired other staff with cable television backgrounds; CNBC host Larry Kudlow was tapped earlier this month as head of the White House National Economic Council and John Bolton, a Fox News analyst, will be the next national security adviser.

Sunshine is not the only Disney Channel star to get political; Miley Cyrus, who catapulted to fame on the hit series “Hannah Montana” performed at the “March for Our Lives” in Washington on Saturday. (Read more from “Former Disney Star Joins White House Press Team” HERE)

Vegans Protesting Against Restaurant Are Horrified at Owner’s Revenge – and There’s Video

By The Blaze. Vegan animal activists were shocked at how a restaurant owner got revenge against them for protesting his business for weeks – and they recorded their own horrified reaction . . .

On Friday, animal rights activists were protesting Antler, a restaurant specializing in “local seasonal and wild foods” including boar, duck and deer. It was their fourth protest targeting the restaurant.

But one of the co-owners turned the tables on them when he whipped out a deer leg and started butchering it on a table in full view of the vegan protesters.

Michael Hunter, who is also a chef, “brought out an entire animal leg and started cutting it up right in the window on a table reserved for diners,” according to the protesters.

“Once the deer was cooked Michael Hunter, owner of Antler, sat back down at the window to eat the dead deer,” said one of the protest organizers, who opined that he was taunting them with his carnivorous ostentatiousness. Toronto Restaurant Shocks Vegans Protesting Meat

By Blogto. At one point, a couple of police officers arrive and go into the restaurant. They are seen speaking to Hunter as he continues to prepare the meat.

After about a minute, Hunter packs up his tools and meat. Both he and the police officers are then seen smiling as they walk away.

“I’m not sure if the police were telling the owner to stop for trying to anger the protestors, or for ethical or health & safety violations,” said Goldberg. “I just think this is very disturbing.”

When asked about the protest, Antler said by email that “our identity as a restaurant is well known throughout the city as is our ethical farming and foraging initiatives.”

“While we would much rather not be the focus of these protests, we are not at all surprised,” said Hunter. (Read more from “Toronto Restaurant Shocks Vegans Protesting Meat” HERE)

Color Me Shocked, Stormy Daniels’ Lawyer Utters the One Sentence All Trump Supporters Were Waiting to Hear

By Bizpac Review. Michael Avenatti, the attorney for porn star Stormy Daniels, said on “CBS This Morning” Wednesday that his client would be willing to accept a settlement in her lawsuit, which seeks to void a 2016 nondisclosure agreement regarding her alleged affair with President Trump.

“If they came to you with a settlement in this case, would you accept it?” co-host Anthony Mason asked.

“I think we would consider it, I would converse with my client,” Avanatti replied. “It would depend on the terms of a settlement. But at this point, I don’t see how the case gets resolved short of the truth coming out.”

Responding to Gayle King’s question about whether the lawsuit is “politically motivated” and an effort to “embarrass” the president, the attorney said:

“It’s just simply not true. I’m not involved in politics. I’m representing my client. The president and [Trump lawyer Michael] Cohen are the ones that have spread half-truths and falsities about my client.

Daniels’ Spurs Settlement Talks After Filing Request to Depose Trump

By Newsweek. Stormy Daniels attorney Michael Avenatti said in an interview with CBS This Morning that he and his client would consider a settlement in their lawsuit against President Donald Trump and attorney Michael Cohen —but both would prefer for “the truth to come out.”

“I think we would consider it. I would converse with my client,” the adult film star’s lawyer said Wednesday. “It would depend on the terms of a settlement. But at this point, I don’t see how the case gets resolved short of the truth coming out.”

Avenatti’s discussion of a potential settlement comes on the same day the attorney filed a formal request to depose Trump and Cohen about the $130,000 paid to Daniels in October 2016. The hush agreement was made in exchange for her silence about an alleged affair she had with the business mogul in 2006-2007.

“We’re only getting started,” Avenatti told CBS This Morning host Gayle King. He also accused Cohen of “thuggish behavior” and using “intimidation tactics” to “step on little people.”

“Mr. Cohen and the president better be very careful what they come out and state regarding my client,” said Avenatti, who has been going from talk show to talk show to discuss the case. (Read more from “Daniels’ Spurs Settlement Talks After Filing Request to Depose Trump” HERE)

Melania’s Response to Stormy Daniels’ ‘Salaciaous Gossip’ Is Every Bit as Classy as You Would Expect

By Bizpac Review. . .Melania Trump spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham responded on behalf of the First Lady to allegations that President Trump had an affair with porn star Stormy Daniels in 2006, writing that the Slovenian-born former model is “focused on being a mom,” NBC News reports.

The First Lady notably stayed out of the fray. Grisham told NBC News “She’s focused on being a mom and is quite enjoying spring break at Mar-a-Lago while working on future projects.”

In a tweet, Grisham, likely alluding to Stormy Daniels’ Sunday night interview on “60 Minutes,” reproved the mainstream media for its coverage of “salacious gossip” and asked journalists to keep the First Couple’s 12-year-old son, Barron, “out of” the news.

The White House also responded to the “60 Minutes” interview, in which the adult film star claimed she was threatened with physical harm if she went public with her story.

“With respect to that interview I will say the president strongly, clearly and has consistently denied these underlying claims and the only person who has been inconsistent is the one making the claims,” the Washington Examiner quoted deputy press secretary Raj Shah at Monday’s press briefing. Stormy Daniels to ’60 Minutes’: I Was Threatened in 2011 Over Telling My Trump Story

By NBC News. Adult film star Stormy Daniels — who has said in a lawsuit that she had an “intimate” relationship with Donald Trump a decade before he became president — said in an interview airing Sunday night that she was threatened in 2011 inside a Las Vegas parking garage with her infant daughter present and was told not to go public with her story.

In a wide-ranging interview with CBS’ “60 Minutes” — its highest-rated broadcast in 10 years, since an interview with Barack and Michelle Obama in 2008, the network said Monday — Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, said the threat came weeks after she’d agreed to tell her story to a sister publication of InTouch magazine — an interview that didn’t run at the time.

“I was in a parking lot, going to a fitness class with my infant daughter. Taking, you know, the seats facing backwards in the backseat, diaper bag, you know, getting all the stuff out. And a guy walked up on me and said to me, ‘Leave Trump alone. Forget the story,'” Daniels said, according to a transcript of the interview.

“And then he leaned around and looked at my daughter and said, ‘That’s a beautiful little girl. It’d be a shame if something happened to her mom.’ And then he was gone,” she added. (Read more from “Stormy Daniels to ’60 Minutes’: I Was Threatened in 2011 Over Telling My Trump Story” HERE)

Mass Shooter’s Father Was FBI Informant

By Bizpac Review. Mateen killed 49 people at the Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, Fla., in 2016, and his wife in now on trial, accused of aiding the gunman in the attack — the case has garnered little interest from the left because details fail to support the established narrative that the LGBT community was targeted.

The motion was filed by lawyers representing Mateen’s widow, Noor Salman, and it states that they were contacted on Saturday by prosecutors, who told them Mateen’s father, Seddique Mateen, was an FBI source from 2005 to June 2016, CNN reported.

The elder Mateen is being investigated for money transfers between March 16, 2016, and June 5, 2016, to Turkey and Afghanistan, according to the network. Evidence was discovered in his home the day of the Pulse attack . . .

The defense also said Seddique’s FBI connection was a factor in a 2013 investigation into Omar Mateen for allegedly threatening coworkers.

The motion stated: “Mateen’s father played a significant role in the FBI’s decision not to seek an indictment from the Justice Department for false statements to the FBI or obstruction of justice against Omar Mateen.” (Read more from “Mass Shooter’s Father Was FBI Informant” HERE)

Judge Denies Motion to Drop Case Against Widow of Pulse Gunman

By CNN. A judge has denied a motion for dismissal by lawyers for the widow of the Pulse gunman after they said new details from prosecutors reveal the shooter’s father was an FBI informant who is currently under a criminal investigation.

The judge said the fact that Omar Mateen’s father worked as an FBI informant was not relevant to the case against Noor Salman.

According to a motion filed by the defense, Assistant US Attorney Sara Sweeney sent an email to the defense on Saturday — in the middle of Salman’s trial — that stated Seddique Mateen was a confidential FBI source at various points in time between January 2005 through June 2016.

The email also stated that Seddique Mateen is being investigated for money transfers to Turkey and Afghanistan after documents were found in his home on June 12, 2016, the day of the Pulse attack. The dates of the money transfers were between March 16, 2016, and June 5, 2016, according to the email. (Read more from “Judge Denies Motion to Drop Case Against Widow of Pulse Gunman” HERE)

A Democrat Just Suggested a Sickening Idea to Steal Guns From Americans

By WND. A Democratic candidate for sheriff in North Carolina is drawing fire after he suggested authorities should kill Americans to confiscate their firearms and then claimed he was joking.

R. Daryl Fisher, a former Asheville police officer who has been in law enforcement since 1985, was speaking at a Moms Demand Action meeting on March 7, 2018, at the West Asheville Library when he made the controversial comments.

Fisher’s campaign posted the following video of his speech on YouTube:

“Any weapon that is designed for use by the military, I think we should ban,” Fisher said. “You’ve heard people say you have to pry my gun from my cold, dead hands? (shrugs) OK.”

The audience laughs and applauds approvingly as Fisher smiles and adds: “Whenever you pass away, we’ll come get it. I dunno. I’m just saying. Joking just a little bit there.” (Read more from “A Democrat Just Suggested a Sickening Idea to Steal Guns From Americans” HERE)

An NC Sheriff Candidate’s Joke Led Thousands to Say He’s Willing to Kill to Take Guns

By News Observer. . . .R. Daryl Fisher is one of eight candidates running for sheriff of Buncombe County in western North Carolina. He’s one of five Democrats seeking to win the party’s nomination in a primary election on May 8.

The belief that he would kill for the sake of gun regulation arose from a “joke” he made during a meeting with voters in Asheville on March 7. Video was being recorded as Fisher answered questions about gun permits and offered suggestions for gun legislation . . .

The Twitter page for The Red Elephants, a conservative news outlet, posted that 30-second edited version of Fisher’s original video with text saying, “Suggests killing people to take their guns… Daryl Fisher candidate for sheriff in Buncombe County…”

The Red Elephants posted the video on Saturday, and by Monday afternoon it had more than 200,000 views and more than 4,000 retweets. (Read more from “An NC Sheriff Candidate’s Joke Led Thousands to Say He’s Willing to Kill to Take Guns” HERE)

Soros and Planned Parenthood-Sponsored ‘March for Our Lives’ Hypocritically Protests Our Only Real Protection Against Violent Crime

Police are on our side, for the most part, and many of them lay their lives on the line nightly to serve and protect fellow Americans and immigrants in neighborhoods that the rest of us avoid. But do they have a legal duty to respond quickly or effectively to our 9-1-1 calls?

No. If police arrive in time to prevent a tragedy, that’s nice, but it’s up to them. They aren’t legally obligated to dispatch, patrol or operate well. It’s been litigated from different angles, and it was eventually settled by the Supreme Court.

In March 1975, two men kicked down a Washington DC single mother’s door and raped her. Two upstairs neighbors heard her screams, called 9-1-1 and were told help was on the way. But it wasn’t.

When they didn’t arrive for 12 minutes, the neighbors called 9-1-1 again and were told again to sit tight, that police were coming. One shouted down to encourage the downstairs mom that police were en route.

This alerted the rapists to the women upstairs. They broke into the upstairs apartment, kidnapped all three women at knife-point, and for the next 14 hours, beat them, raped them, robbed them and forced them to perform sexual acts on one another.

The victims later sued the District of Columbia municipal government, which employs the police. The government fought the women’s lawsuit and did not settle out of court. That city, which has some of the strictest gun control laws in America, argued in court that its police owed no specific duty to the brutalized victims. The courts agreed.

The Supreme Court settled the law on this issue in a 2005 ruling. In that case, police failed to enforce a court order against a Colorado ex-husband who abducted his three daughters, ages 7, 9 and 10. The girls’ mother reported the abduction and violation of the court order, and provided reliable information on their location, but police did not follow up. The ex-husband later shot his three girls dead.

The bereaved mother later sued, based on the court order’s language that “you shall arrest” the violator. When the lawsuit reached its final appeal, the Court held that the fatal inaction was “within a well-established tradition of police discretion” despite “apparently mandatory arrest statutes.” The law of the land, since 2005, is that you have no legal right to police protection.

You do, however, have a legal right to keep and bear arms. The government is Constitutionally prohibited to infringe that right. And so you have a capacity, if you can keep it, to protect yourself, your daughters and your downstairs neighbor from violent criminals.

The 2nd Amendment was under attack Saturday, just across town from where the three women were overwhelmed and dehumanized by knife-wielding criminals in 1975. March for Our Lives organizers claimed that 2 million adolescent supporters participated, including over 800 “sibling events” across the nation. They assure us that their attack on gun rights will continue during the midterm elections this Fall.

If you have trouble remembering which is the March for Life and which is the March for Our Lives, just remember that the March for Life is the annual prolife rally that is largely ignored by the mainstream media, not breathlessly promoted. Or you can remember that the March for Life is a protest against the killing of over 60 million defenseless, unborn American children since the 1973 Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision.

The March for Our Lives, on the other hand, was partially funded by Planned Parenthood, an organization that has committed 8,058,657 abortions, by one count, since 1970.

“Everyone has a right,” Planned Parenthood tweeted Saturday with breathtaking irony, to lead “a life that is healthy and free of violence.” A Planned Parenthood spokesperson boasted to BuzzFeed News that the government-subsidized organization is “teaching and hosting trainings” for young anti-gun activists. They provided the students with “logistics, strategy and planning” assistance. Likewise MoveOn.org, underwitten by billionaire immigrant George Soros.

But the March for Our Lives is also funded by a number of large contributions from Hollywood celebrities, entertainers and corporate donors, including $50,000 from Joshua Kushner, brother of Trump son-in-law Jared. Some of the celebrities attended the anti-gun rally, protected by armed security.

Law enforcement failures are apparently of little interest to the NeverAgain movement. The police officer who stood inert in front of the high school he was assigned to protect, the ignored warnings about the shooter’s intentions, the FBI’s failure to follow up – none of this seems to matter as much as the opportunity to launch impassioned attacks on Republicans and the NRA. Why not?

At what point do we admit that this is not a children’s crusade? Hardened leftist adults, with other fish to fry, have provided its infrastructure, funding and even its goals. The kids have compelling and tragic stories that give them value to people who would have happily crushed their skulls and dismembered them less than two decades ago. But the kids are not in control of this movement.

I’m not a mind-reader. I don’t know how sincere the adolescents are. I’m not sure that I could have resisted, at their age, the seduction of the spotlight, the opportunity to feel like a rock star. It wouldn’t be fair to expect wisdom of them. Not now.

Although a few have surprised us: Parkland survivor Kyle Kashuv, for example, considers himself a NeverAgain supporter but seeks a middle ground of hardening targets and improving security without infringing his fellow citizens’ right to keep and bear arms.

“The only way change will be accomplished,” the high school junior said, “is if we stop using inflammatory language, we sit down and have a logical discussion, we don’t call the person the enemy, we don’t shout at them and we don’t boo them. That’s the only way a positive change will be made.”

‘Gender-Neutral’ Preschools Teach Boys to Wear Dresses

By Life Site News. Many government-funded Swedish preschools are “gender-neutral” and teach youngsters to reject their natural inclinations toward masculine or feminine activities, instead requiring them to do activities usually associated with the opposite sex.

“A preschool’s approach to gender has now become a common question before enrollment,” the New York Times reported in a profile of these schools. Swedish teachers “are doing what they can to deconstruct” gender.

Since 1998, state curriculum has required teachers to “counteract traditional gender roles and gender patterns.”

Schools go about this in different ways, largely based on their leadership. Many Swedish children begin going to these programs when they are just one year old.

At the dawn of this massive social experiment, “Boys and girls at the preschools were separated for part of the day and coached in traits associated with the other gender. Boys massaged each other’s feet. Girls were led in barefoot walks in the snow, and told to throw open the window and scream.” (Read more from “‘Gender-Neutral’ Preschools Teach Boys to Wear Dresses” HERE)

In Sweden’s Preschools, Boys Learn to Dance and Girls Learn to Yell

By The New York Times. Something was wrong with the Penguins, the incoming class of toddlers at the Seafarer’s Preschool, in a wooded suburb south of Stockholm.

The boys were clamorous and physical. They shouted and hit. The girls held up their arms and whimpered to be picked up. The group of 1- and 2-year-olds had, in other words, split along traditional gender lines. And at this school, that is not O.K.

Their teachers cleared the room of cars and dolls. They put the boys in charge of the play kitchen. They made the girls practice shouting “No!” Then they decided to open a proper investigation, erecting video cameras in the classroom. Rapper Tells Gun-Grabbers: ‘You’re Not Woke,’ and ‘You’re Going to Progress Us Into Slavery’

By Bizpac Review. . .Rapper Killer Mike stunned Americans with an unabashed pro-Second Amendment interview for NRATV last week in which he called gun control advocates “lack[ies] of the progressive movement,” but ultimately issued an apology and declared support for Saturday’s March For Our Lives rally after receiving backlash.

“We’re raising a generation of kids where everyone gets’ a trophy. But in real life, everyone doesn’t get a trophy,” Killer Mike, real name Michael Render, told NRATV’s Colion Noir. “In real life, the cops don’t come on time.”

The artist said he instructed his children not to participate in the March 14 national school Walkout Day in support of stricter gun laws, telling them “I love you, but if you walk out that school, walk out my house.”

“You can’t continue to be the lackey,” he added. “You’re a lackey of the progressive movement because you have never disagreed with the people who tell you what to do.” (Read more from “Rapper Tells Gun-Grabbers: ‘You’re Not Woke,’ and ‘You’re Going to Progress Us Into Slavery'” HERE)

March for Our Lives: Hollywood Stars Among Thousands to March in Los Angeles in Support of Stricter Gun Controls

By The Independent. Hollywood celebrities lent their presence and political heft to the March for Our Lives gun control movement, and helped to rally Americans in a day of nationwide protest, by both donating large sums of money, as well as by showing up to march, speak and perform.

At Saturday’s march in Los Angeles, comedienne Amy Schumer, a showing of whose film Trainwreck was the scene of a 2015 shooting in a Louisiana theatre, spoke passionately against gun violence and the National Rifle Association (NRA) lobbying group at a gathering said to be 50,000-strong.

“How do they sleep at night? They call people like me ‘Hollywood liberals,’ like there’s something in it for us. Well, what’s in it for us is knowing we’re doing our part to keep our children alive,” she said . . .

The Los Angeles march was attended by droves of young people, many of whom had participated in the national school Walk-Out last week, and who paraded from downtown’s Broadway to City Hall to hear pop star Charlie Puth and Willow Smith, along with teen activists from Marjory Douglas Stoneman High in Florida, and LA’s Democratic Mayor Eric Garcetti, who is rumoured to be considering a run for the US presidency in 2020 . . .

Former First Lady of California Maria Shriver, ex-wife of actor and former governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, also marched, and told The Independent she thought the experience was “energising”. Though there have been anti-gun protests before, she said, “it feels different this time”. One ’60 Minutes’ Accusation Could Get Stormy Daniels in Trouble; Lawyer Demands Apology and Retraction

After Stormy Daniels’ national interview on “60 Minutes,” where the aging porn star shared details of an alleged one night stand with now-President Donald Trump over a decade ago, to include the dramatic claim that her life was threatened, a key player in the story immediately fired back.

The lawyer representing Michael Cohen, Trump’s longtime personal attorney, sent a cease and desist letter Sunday night demanding that Daniels refrain from making further “false and defamatory” statements about Cohen, and requested a retraction and apology for the comments she made in the interview . . .

Brent Blakely, who represents Cohen, told Daniels’ attorney Michael Avenatti in the letter that his client had nothing to do with the alleged threat that Daniels said came from “a guy” in a parking lot, who warned her, “Leave Trump alone. Forget the story.”

“In truth, Mr. Cohen had absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with any such person or incident, and does not even believe that any such person exists, or that such incident ever occurred,” Blakely wrote.

“You and your client’s false statements about Mr. Cohen accuse him of criminal conduct and constitute, among other claims, libel per se and intentional infliction of emotional distress.” (Read more from “One ’60 Minutes’ Accusation Could Get Stormy Daniels in Trouble; Lawyer Demands Apology and Retraction” HERE)
