New Yorker to Christians: We Don’t Want Your Kind Around Here

Chick-fil-A, that alluring purveyor of delicious chicken sandwiches and waffle fries, has long been a target in certain quarters. These criticisms have nothing to do with the addictiveness of the chain’s food (a shame, really, because this is a real problem), but its perceived political stances. Most such attacks have stemmed from the chain’s indirect donations to groups that oppose same-sex marriage, and from CEO Dan Cathy’s comments on the subject . . .

That makes this recent New Yorker article by Dan Piepenbring—memorably entitled “Chick-fil-A’s Creepy Infiltration of New York City”—all the more incoherent. According to Piepenbring’s screed, which lacks content beyond Ewww-These-People-Aren’t-Like-Me, Chick-fil-A’s arrival in the Big Apple “raises questions about what we expect from our fast food, and to what extent a corporation can join a community.” Evidently, Piepenbring can’t understand why the restaurant is so popular with NYC residents, given the city’s progressive political and social leanings. How can this be? . . .

But Piepenbring is having none of it. In perhaps the article’s most ludicrous segment, he criticizes Chick-fil-A’s cow-driven advertising campaigns by “asking why Americans fell in love with an ad in which one farm animal begs us to kill another in its place. Most restaurants take pains to distance themselves from the brutalities of the slaughterhouse; Chick-fil-A invites us to go along with the Cows’ Schadenfreude.”

The rest of Piepenbring’s “argument” fares no better, although it’s certainly an illuminating look at its author’s unjustified neuroses. He writes that “the brand’s arrival here feels like an infiltration, in no small part because of its pervasive Christian traditionalism. Its headquarters, in Atlanta, is adorned with Bible verses and a statue of Jesus washing a disciple’s feet.” It must surprise the Christians of New York (or, for that matter, to erstwhile residents of the American South) that they are “infiltrators” in their own community. But in Piepenbring’s world, any outsiders must be shunned.

Not content with the language of “infiltration,” Piepenbring further claims “there’s something especially distasteful about Chick-fil-A, which has sought to portray itself as better than other fast food: cleaner, gentler, and more ethical, with its poultry slightly healthier than the mystery meat of burgers. Its politics, its décor, and its commercial-evangelical messaging are inflected with this suburban piety.” Elsewhere, he’s scandalized by the fact that “[t]he restaurant’s corporate purpose still begins with the words ‘to glorify God,’ and that proselytism thrums below the surface of the Fulton Street restaurant, which has the ersatz homespun ambiance of a megachurch.” (Read more from “New Yorker to Christians: We Don’t Want Your Kind Around Here” HERE)

Judge Freaks out at Assault Victim for Using ‘Incorrect’ Gender Pronoun of Attacker

By Life Site News. An English judge told an assault victim to use her attacker’s preferred gender pronoun, the latest development in the ongoing collision between feminist and transgender activists.

Maria Maclachlan, 61, is a self-described Trans-Exclusionary Radical Feminist (TERF), part of a faction that believes men who identify as female should not be recognized as women. The UK Telegraph reports that she was among the speakers for a TERF event in London’s Hyde Park last September. The event was meant to discuss potential changes to the UK’s 2004 Gender Recognition Act.

MacLachlan says that while filming a group of counter-protestors chanting “When TERFs attack, we strike back,” 26-year-old trans activist “Tara” Wolf punched her, knocking her to the ground.

During MacLachlan’s testimony this week before the Hendon Magistrate’s Court, District Judge Kenneth Grant chided her for not referring to Wolf, a biological male, with female pronouns.

Radical Feminist Warned to Refer to Transgender Defendant as a ‘She’ During Assault Case

By The Telegraph. . . She told Hendon Magistrates’ Court: “A hooded figure suddenly ran at me, ran past me from left to right, knocking the camera from my hand.

District Judge Kenneth Grant warned Ms MacLachlan to refer to Miss Wolf as “she” while giving evidence . . .

Ms MacLachlan replied: “I’m used to thinking of this person who is a male as male.”

The two factions have repeatedly clashed over the issue of men who “self-identify” as female and are allowed in women-only spaces and take on roles reserved for women.

The group of radical feminists, including Ms Maclachlan, had gathered at Speakers’ Corner in Hyde Park last September to discuss changes to the Gender Identity Act which will make it easier for people to define their gender themselves. Officer Allegedly Punches Naked, Hallucinating Harvard Student and Is Now Under Investigation

By The Blaze. Video showing a police officer allegedly punching a naked Harvard University student who was reportedly hallucinating on drugs has led to a use-of-force investigation, WBZ-TV reported.

Police arrested 21-year-old student Selorm Ohene in response to 911 calls that Ohene was naked in the street throwing clothes at bystanders. He was charged with indecent exposure, disorderly conduct, assault, resisting arrest, and assault and battery . . .

When Cambridge Police Department officers arrived on the scene, they found Ohene standing naked on a traffic island. According to the police report, Ohene clenched his fists and began walking toward officers, who grabbed him by the legs and took him down.

A witness was recording video of the incident, and it shows an officer punching Ohene several times, according to Cambridge Mayor Marc McGovern, who called the video “disturbing.”

“We have high standards for our police officers in Cambridge,” McGovern said in a statement. “In most cases, the extensive training our officers go through results in the deescalation of dangerous situations. Use of Force Investigation Against Officer Who Punched High Student

By CBS Local. . .Cambridge Police say that when they arrived, Ohene was standing naked on a traffic island in the middle of Mass. Ave. People who were with him told police that Ohene had taken drugs that likely had a hallucinogenic effect.

According to a police report on the incident, Ohene was clenching both fists and walking toward officers. They opted to grab his legs and bring him to the ground.

Cambridge Mayor Marc McGovern said video taken by an onlooker shows an officer punching the man, who is black, several times.

Ohene was taken to an area hospital for evaluation. Police say he spit a combination of blood and saliva at an EMT . . .

“We must learn from this incident and always strive to do better, but I want to be clear: my colleagues and I take these matters seriously, and will follow this closely to ensure that all the facts are properly investigated and that the public is informed of any and all developments,” McGovern said. Russian Journalist Who Investigated Pro-Putin Mercenaries in Syria Dies in ‘Mysterious’ Fall

Russian journalist Maxim Borodin died after falling from the fifth-story balcony of his apartment in the city of Yekaterinburg last week. While local police are dismissing the notion of foul play, friends and colleagues of Borodin are calling for an independent investigation over suspicions that Borodin may have possibly been targeted.

The day before his death, Borodin reportedly called his friend Vyacheslav Bashkov at five o’clock in the morning, saying his building was surrounded and that there was “someone with a weapon on his balcony and people in camouflage and masks on the staircase landing.” But later, Borodin called back to say it was all a false alarm and that Russian security services were simply conducting an exercise.

But Bashkov added: “His work was very dangerous. He was one of the best.”

One of Borodin’s recent stories covered the deaths of three Russian mercenaries who were reportedly killed in a confrontation with US forces in Syria on February 7. The mercenaries worked for the Wagner Group, which was referred to as “a shadowy Kremlin-linked private military contractor” by the newspaper Borodin wrote for, Novy Den. . . .

Woman Calls Cops on Man at the Park Because of His Pro-Gun Shirt

By Bizpac Review. A Texas woman called the police when she became suspicious of a man at a children’s’ playground.

But the man, a father who was there with his own two daughters, had done nothing wrong except wear a T-shirt that offended the woman.

Troy Johnston, who was at a Benbrook playground where his four and six-year old daughters were playing, was legally and openly carrying his firearm on a holster on his hip, according to Blue Lives Matter. But it wasn’t the gun that set the woman off, it was Johnston’s shirt which read, “I’ll control my guns, you control your kids.”

A man and his family reportedly approached Johnston a short time after he had been there letting the father know a woman was “fuming” over Johnston’s shirt and the fact that he was armed.

Woman Calls Police Over Man Wearing Pro-Gun T-Shirt at Park

By Blue Lives Matter. A short while later, another man and his family approached Johnston, and asked to read his shirt, he said.

Johnston showed him his shirt, at which point the man warned him that his father-in-law had just been harassed by woman in the parking lot, and that she was contacting police regarding Johnson’s attire.

The man told Johnston that he didn’t know “what was wrong with her,” and that he actually “felt more secure knowing there was someone there that would protect them,” Johnston said.

Although he had intended to leave prior to his conversation with the second man, Johnston said he opted to wait for police once he became aware that they had likely been called to the area.

According Benbrook Police Department (BPD) Corporal J. Major Chain Will DESTROY Assault-Style Rifles in Stock. No, This Is Not Rational Behavior.

By Bizpac Review. Dick’s Sporting Goods is taking its moral indignation to a whole new level following its recent decision not to sell “assault weapons” — see modern sporting rifles, which includes the AR-15.

Faced with the dilemma of what to do with unsold merchandise, instead of returning the merchandise to the manufacturer, as retailers normally do, Dick’s Sporting Goods has decided to destroy them, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported.

You read that right, the company will take a financial hit to ensure the firearms they have never end up in someone’s hands. Critics will argue this further proves liberals are not just interested in stricter gun laws, they want to take them away entirely.

“We are in the process of destroying all firearms and accessories that are no longer for sale as a result of our February 28th policy change,” a company spokeswoman told the paper. “We are destroying the firearms in accordance with federal guidelines and regulations.”

Dick’s Sporting Goods Will Destroy Assault-Style Rifles Pulled From Shelves

By The Post-Gazette. When Dick’s Sporting Goods said it would no longer sell modern sporting rifles at its Field & Stream stores following the Valentine’s Day shooting at a Parkland, Fla., high school, one question was what would happen to the unsold firearms in its inventory.

Typically a retailer may return unsold merchandise to the manufacturer. But in this case, Dick’s Sporting Goods has decided to destroy them. . .

In addition to the decision on pulling assault-style rifles from its 35 specialty Field & Stream locations, the sporting goods chain said in February that it also would no longer sell high capacity magazines or sell firearms to anyone under 21 years old following the mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School.

The School System Corrupts and Sexualizes Our Children and Calls It ‘Sex Ed’

I would be remiss if I didn’t lend my public support to the Sex Ed Sit Out planned for next Monday. Parents across the country will be keeping their children home from school to protest the insane, pornographic, morally debased propaganda that passes for “sex ed” these days. It’s about time that parents took a stand against this madness. My only problem with the sit-out is that it’s too short. It should be longer. It should be permanent. But this is a good first step.

No age group is safe anymore. The public schools begin brainwashing children with left-wing gender theory in elementary school. The indoctrination, in some cases, starts as early as kindergarten. As the students grow older, the “sex ed” gets progressively more graphic and downright disturbing, as children are not so much educated as groomed. The schools will work with Planned Parenthood to hand out condoms to the kids and teach them about bondage and vibrators and oral sex and masturbation and so on.

Sex should be a subject covered in science class, and it should go no further than simply explaining how human reproduction works. All of the rest of this — the lessons on “gender identity,” the free condoms, the discussion of masturbation and oral sex — is ideological. The schools want our kids to be the sort of people who indulge their sexual urges freely and openly, without regard to oppressive notions of morality and human dignity. The deviants who develop these courses believe that hedonism is the path to fulfillment. That is the primary message they seek to communicate through their “sex ed” curriculum. It is not actually a sex ed curriculum at all, it turns out. It is more like a philosophy curriculum. A really deranged philosophy curriculum meant to teach a really deranged philosophy. Planned Parenthood’s Cecile Richards Attacks Ivanka Trump for Refusal to Support Planned Parenthood

Planned Parenthood Prez Leaks ‘Off-The-Record’ Abortion Meet With Ivanka

By Newsbusters. . .On Tuesday, Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards’ new memoir, Make Trouble, became available to the public. The book comes a month before Richards plans to step down from her position at Planned Parenthood after 12 years. Towards the end of her new work, Richards detailed an “off-the-record” meeting with Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner which left her feeling like they were “bribing” and “bartering” with her on abortion.

Following President Donald Trump’s transition into office, a “friendly acquaintance in the fashion industry” put Richards in touch with daughter Ivanka.

Even though Richards wasn’t “feeling optimistic” and doubted having an “honest, off-the-record conversation with anyone in the administration,” she decided to go through with it in February 2017. (Speaking of “off-the-record,” Planned Parenthood appears to have been the first to speak to press about it.)

After she found out Jared Kushner would accompany Ivanka, Richards “begged” her husband, Kirk Adams, to attend as a “witness.” On their way to a Trump golf course in New Jersey, Richards was so “terrified” of running into one of her staffers or supporters that she hid in her car when they stopped at a “nearby Panera” for coffee.

WATCH: Couple Hog-Tie Man They Allege Was Propositioning Woman’s 13-Year-Old Daughter. Now They May Face Charges.

By The Daily Wire. A Canadian couple in British Columbia may be charged with assault because they lured a 28-year-old man who they say was propositioning the woman’s 13-year-old daughter to their home, where they knocked him down and then hog-tied him with zip ties.

The couple lured the man to their Port Alberti, British Columbia, home last Thursday by having the woman pretend to be her daughter and message the man to invite him to her home to have sex with her. The woman said when the man showed up at her door, she knocked him down with a punch; her husband and a male friend then restrained him and tied his hands up . . .

The couple filmed a Facebook Live video, seen below, as the woman called the man a “predator” and alleged police refused to go to the house for the “meeting.” A female voice on the video states, “He came to my house to meet my 13-year-old f*****g daughter to f*** her. We f*****g tackled him and zap-strapped him and called the police. Because earlier today when I asked the police to come here for this meeting, they said no. Why wouldn’t the police come and help me catch this predator that just came to my f*****g house?”

Canadian police said they responded to a disturbance that left a man tied up as “a result of vigilante actions.” The man was freed of the zip ties, then taken to the hospital by police. He has not been charged.

Meanwhile, the couple was arrested, along with their male friend, and could be charged with assault resulting in bodily harm and forcible confinement, according to CHEK News. ‘Vigilante’ Parents Could Be Facing Charges After Allegedly Hogtying Man Propositioning Daughter, 13

By SF Gate. Two parents, who took matters into their own hands against a man they say was propositioning their 13-year-old daughter, may now be charged with assault after apparently restraining that man with zip ties when he turned up at their Canada home. . .

Canadian police confirmed parts of the account, telling news outlets that they responded to a disturbance that left a man tied up as “a result of vigilante actions.” The man was then freed of his restraints and taken to the hospital by police, and has not been charged. . .

The parents defended their actions against the man, saying they discovered the 28-year-old was sending her daughter “explicit messages” via Instagram over a month ago. The mother told news outlets that they told the police about the messages but were told to block the man’s account and forget about it.

California Refuses Border Duties for National Guard

By AP. The Trump administration said Monday that California Gov. Jerry Brown rejected terms of the National Guard’s initial deployment to the Mexican border, but a state official said nothing was decided.

“The governor determined that what we asked for is unsupportable, but we will have other iterations,” Ronald Vitiello, U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s acting deputy commissioner, told reporters in Washington.

California in Dispute Over Trump Administration Plan for National Guard Troops at Border

By Fox News. California authorities pushed back Monday on a Trump administration official’s claim that Gov. Jerry Brown rejected terms of the National Guard’s initial deployment to the Mexican border.

California National Guard spokesman Lt. Col. Thomas Keegan told Fox News on Monday that state officials have not rejected anything since the governor pledged 400 troops. President Trump has vowed to send up to 4,000 troops to the border . . .

Brown, who repeatedly has found himself in Trump’s political crosshairs, earned rare praise from the president last week.

“California Governor Jerry Brown is doing the right thing and sending the National Guard to the Border. Thank you, Jerry, good move for the safety of our Country!” Trump tweeted last week.
