NO DEAL: Trump Signals an End to DACA Compromise, Pushes GOP to Pass Strict Immigration Restrictions

By The Daily Wire. Sunday morning, President Donald Trump signaled to reporters that Congressional Democrats had wasted their opportunity to come to the bargaining table over comprehensive immigration reform, and that the time for a deal on the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) Act had passed.

He also encouraged Republicans to pass strict anti-immigration legislation, likely including increased funding for Trump’s planned border wall.

Trump Tweeted early Sunday that he was growing tired of Democratic immigration policies, including the nonsensical border patrol “catch-and-release” program instituted under President Barack Obama. He punctuated his social media missive with the words, “NO DACA DEAL” in all capital letters.

According to the Washington Post, whose reporters waited to speak to the President and his wife outside Easter services at an Episcopalian church local to the couple’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida, the President was very willing to elaborate on his statement, accusing Congressional Democrats of standing in the way of any potential deal to protect past and future DACA recipients. ‘No More DACA Deal,’ Trump Says as He Threatens to ‘Stop’ NAFTA If Mexico Doesn’t Better Secure Border

By The Washington Post. President Trump spent his Easter morning here on an anti-immigrant tirade, declaring Sunday that there would be no deal to legalize the status of undocumented immigrants known as “dreamers” and threatening to exit the North American Free Trade Agreement unless Mexico increases border security.

Trump thrust the future of millions of undocumented immigrants who were brought to the United States as children into peril by promising “NO MORE DACA DEAL,” and he directed congressional Republicans to pass tough anti-immigration legislation . . .

It was Trump who last fall canceled the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which was begun in the Obama administration to provide temporary protection to dreamers. WATCH: Girls Organize Walkout in SUPPORT of Second Amendment in Florida

By The Daily Wire. Dozens of students at Rockledge High School in Florida walked out of school on Friday in support of the Second Amendment to counter the recent attacks of far-left activists that have been calling for gun bans and a national registry.

Approximately 75 students walked out of class for the 20-minute rally carrying signs that said “guns don’t kill people, people kill people” and “I support the right to bear arms,” Florida Today reported.

“The demonstration was organized by Chloe Deaton, a sophomore, and Anna Delaney, a junior, who are part of Rockledge High’s Criminal Justice and Legal Studies Academy.”

About 75 Rockledge High School Students Walk out of Class to Support Second Amendment

By Florida Today. A group of students from Rockledge High School in Brevard County briefly walked out of class Friday to show their support for the Second Amendment. . .

Deaton — who was wearing a T-shirt that read, “my rights don’t end where your feelings begin” — said the event was meant to clear misconceptions about the Second Amendment, not support or oppose any particular political stances.

After the playing of the national anthem and “God Bless America” over the loudspeakers, she told the group of students, “We were built on certain rights and that was one of the original rights, that we should have the right to bear arms.”

Delaney read a quote from former President Ronald Reagan, who at a 1983 banquet for the National Rifle Association said, “The Constitution does not say that government shall decree the right to keep and bear arms. The Constitution says ‘… the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.'” (Read more from “About 75 Rockledge High School Students Walk out of Class to Support Second Amendment” HERE)

Here’s How Trump Can Defund Planned Parenthood

Democrats don’t hold a majority in the U.S. Senate, but the GOP doesn’t have a supermajority of 60 votes, which explains why the granting of $500 million in taxpayer money to the abortionists at Planned Parenthood slipped into the $1.3 trillion omnibus spending bill . . .

FRC explained the massive spending bill includes many things conservatives don’t like because of the Senate rule that requires 60 votes to end debate on such legislation and move to an up-or-down vote.

“The refrains on social media are all the same: Republicans control the Hill and the White House. Why aren’t they defunding Planned Parenthood? By now, the entire country has seen the ghoulish videos; they’ve heard the criminal evidence; they know these centers are destroying an innocent life every 98 seconds. They’re right to be upset,” FRC said. . .

“Or they could tackle the funding for Planned Parenthood in mandatory programs through budget reconciliation, which only requires 51 votes. The Republican majority succeeded in defunding Planned Parenthood on its 2015 health care repeal, but President Obama vetoed it. Last August, they tried again – only to fall short in the Senate,” FRC said. . .

“That’s where HHS comes in. If you want to know how powerful the agency is in directing government funds, think back to Obama. With a simple HHS regulation, he stopped all 50 states from defunding abortion providers under Title X. Fortunately, Congress overturned that rule last year, and more states are moving to cut ties with Richards’s group than ever,” FRC explained.
