Trump Welcomes Home Americans Freed from North Korea

By Daily Mail. Donald Trump welcomed three Americans imprisoned in North Korea back to the U.S. in the wee hours of Thursday morning, and said words most observers thought no American president would ever utter: ‘We want to thank Kim Jong Un.’

The president and his wife Melania arrived at Joint Base Andrews outside Washington at 2:00 a.m. to greet Kim Dong Chul, Kim Hak Song and Tony Kim, and called them ‘incredible people.’

In extraordinary scenes, Trump and the first lady clapped and cheered as the men walked down the steps with their arms in the air and giving triumphant ‘V’ signs signifying both peace and victory.

Their first steps back on American soil came hours earlier, in Alaska, when the plane carrying them home stopped to refuel.

On the tarmac in suburban Maryland, Trump said: ‘These are great people. Frankly, we didn’t think this was going to happen, but it did. It was important to get these people out. This is a special night for these three really great people.’ (Read more from “Trump Welcomes Home Americans Freed from North Korea” HERE)

History in the Making as Trump Welcomes Prisoners Home

By CNN. Just maybe, the extraordinary scene that unfolded in the dead of night on an airfield outside Washington early Thursday is the start of something truly historic.

President Donald Trump welcomed home three American prisoners from North Korea, citing their release as proof that his diplomacy with the isolated state is delivering. In what must have been a surreal experience, Kim Dong Chul, Kim Hak-song and Kim Sang Duk — who were only released from custody on Wednesday — were suddenly plunged into a media circus.

“I think you probably broke the all-time in history television rating for 3 o’clock in the morning,” Trump told reporters at Joint Base Andrews as he stood alongside the freed prisoners.

Fired Comey Coordinated with FBI on Anti-Trump Testimony

By WND. Americans know that fired FBI Director James Comey released material from his meetings with President Trump to an outsider in order to trigger a special investigation into the president. . .

Talking about the memos he made while FBI director of official meetings with the president, Comey said he took them and, “I asked a friend of mine to share the content of the memo with a reporter. Didn’t do it myself, for a variety of reasons. But I asked him to, because I thought that might prompt the appointment of a special counsel.”

Now emails have been uncovered that show Comey had more or less top-level access to the FBI, and special counsel Robert Mueller, even after he was fired by the president.

Officials with Judicial Watch say they’ve obtained emails from the DOJ showing that Comey was “advised” by FBI in May 2017 “to consult” with Mueller before testifying about claims of Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election. . .

“These documents show that James Comey, who was fired by the president, nevertheless had easy, friendly access to the FBI as he prepped his infamous anti-Trump testimony to the Senate,” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “This collusion led to Comey’s attacking President Trump and misusing FBI records as part of a vendetta against the president.” (Read more from “Fired Comey Coordinated with Fbi on Anti-Trump Testimony” HERE)

Judicial Watch: Emails Show FBI Advised Comey to Consult with Mueller’s Office Prior to June 2017 Testimony

By Judicial Watch. Judicial Watch today released new emails from the Department of Justice (DOJ) showing that former FBI Director James Comey was advised by FBI officials in May 2017 to consult with Special Counsel Robert Mueller prior to testifying before any congressional committees regarding Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election and his firing as FBI director.

According to numerous news reports, Comey met directly with Mueller previous to his June 8, 2017, testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee. Sources said that Comey’s opening statement and subsequent testimony were coordinated with Mueller.

At the hearing, Comey revealed that he had intentionally leaked material from a memo allegedly documenting a meeting with President Trump in order to help assure the appointment of a special counsel.

I asked a friend of mine to share the content of the memo with a reporter. Didn’t do it myself, for a variety of reasons. But I asked him to, because I thought that might prompt the appointment of a special counsel.

The DOJ and FBI have stated that Comey’s leaks were unauthorized and compared the disclosures to Wikileaks. (Read more from “Judicial Watch: Emails Show FBI Advised Comey to Consult with Mueller’s Office Prior to June 2017 Testimony” HERE)

Clinton Insider Asks Question About Stormy Daniels’ Lawyer the Media Refuses to Ask

By The Daily Wire. In an op-ed for The Hill, Mark Penn — who served as a pollster and adviser for Bill Clinton from 1995 to 2000 and a chief strategist for Hillary’s 2008 campaign — asks a question that most mainstream media outlets don’t seem interested in asking: “So exactly who is paying Michael Avenatti?”

Penn follows his should-be obvious question with the natural follow-up: Is Stormy Daniels’ lawyer, who has become the nemesis of Donald Trump’s embattled personal lawyer Michael Cohen, “a lawyer, an opposition researcher, a journalist, or a campaign operative?”

Avenatti, Penn notes, wants to keep the discussion focused on Cohen and where he got his money, but if Avenatti wants to keep things on the up and up, he needs to tell us who is paying for his services because his porn star client has made clear that she most definitely is not. He also needs to reveal his sources for the confidential banking information about Cohen he revealed to all the world in a memo this week, and tell us if he is “solely representing Stormy Daniels or just using her as cover to wage a political operation.”

“From the beginning, this has been fishy,” writes Penn. “Daniels’s previous lawyer advised her to stick to her agreements. In contrast, Avenatti okayed her violating with impunity her non-disclosure agreement on ’60 Minutes’ despite a binding arbitration judgment against her. She acknowledged on Twitter that she is not paying for her lawyer. So who is? And did he indemnify her against all multimillion-dollar penalties?” (Read more from “Clinton Insider Asks Question About Stormy Daniels’ Lawyer the Media Refuses to Ask” HERE)

Who Is Paying Michael Avenatti?

By The Hill. . .It took a long time and even a court battle to find out that the Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee paid for the Fusion GPS dossier, a fact that was disclosed only after the damage was done, as former British spy and the dossier’s compiler, Christopher Steele, had already created a vast echo chamber as though the material he was peddling had been verified in some way, which of course, it never was. Now Avenatti is being allowed to repeat this same process, mixing truths with half truths and evading accountability.

This week, Avenatti released to the media a report detailing consulting payments to Cohen, and much of it, despite a few errors, has been verified. AT&T, Novartis and a real estate firm acknowledge having hired the president’s personal attorney for insights on the incoming administration. Mueller appears to have investigated all of this months ago, and it is highly unlikely that the theory Avenatti is pounding away at — that Russians paid for Daniels — holds any water or Robert Mueller would not have passed the investigation on to U.S. attorneys in New York. Russia, actually, is the special counsel’s bailiwick.

It seems that everyone has his or her own theory about where the Daniels payment came from. Rudy Giuliani says it came out the president’s monthly retainer. Cohen said he paid for it. Avenatti speculates it comes from a real estate company that he alleges had ties, of course, to Russia. The Wall Street Journal published an article suggesting that Cohen and his family in 2015 and early 2016 were so prescient that he would need money for Trump women that he and his wife were refinancing their homes to build up cash for this purpose, possibly defrauding the banks.

More relevant, perhaps, is the New York Times story that Cohen had invested heavily in New York City taxi medallions and, thanks to Uber, those medallions were losing as much as 80 percent of their value and cash flow. There is a much more logical explanation for Cohen needing cash in that these investments were going south, and he needed funds to shore them up or face foreclosure. Watch: Women of ‘the View’ Attempt to Give Trump Credit for Freeing Americans from North Korea. It Goes How You’d Expect.

The women at “The View” attempted to give President Donald Trump credit for securing the release of three American prisoners from North Korea on Thursday morning, and it went exactly how you’d expect.

Let’s start with Ms. Joy Behar, a bitter “resistor” of Trump’s. The short-lived credit she gave to the president must have tasted like vinegar coming out of her loud mouth. “You know, good for him. If it works, we’re happy for him,” she begrudgingly forced out. “If he is on the right track, I give him credit for that.”

But, in the same breath, Behar unleashed an irrelevant condemnation of Trump regarding the media (she couldn’t help herself). “I just wish he would stop attacking the press and our American institutions because it’s eroding the democracy underneath our feet,” she stated . . .

Co-host Sara Haines also took a swipe at Trump, but in an utterly convoluted way, saying, “I hope it was his big talk, mainly because, regardless, he thinks it was, and if he thinks it is, it has emboldened him, going forward in other meetings, so I just wouldn’t want that to be false confidence, so I hope that it was the big talk that paid off for him.” . . .

Sunny Hostin, also sitting at the round table, evaded giving Trump credit by noting that the release of political prisoners was “not unprecedented.” Perhaps if Trump traded five terrorist masterminds for a traitor instead she’d be singing a different tune. Sarah Palin Responds to John Mccain Saying He Regrets Choosing Her as VP

By The Daily Wire. On Thursday, former Alaska governor Sarah Palin responded to a New York Times report that claimed Senator John McCain said he regretted choosing Mrs. Palin as his vice presidential pick during the 2008 presidential election.

Palin told The Daily Mail the report was surprising and that it felt like a “perpetual gut-punch” every time she read it.

“That’s not what Sen. McCain has told me all these years, as he’s apologized to me repeatedly for the people who ran his campaign – some who now staff MSNBC, the newsroom there, which tells you a lot,” claimed the former governor . . .

Earlier in the week, the Times reported that McCain’s new book, “The Restless Wave,” says he regretted choosing Palin as his number two on the ticket and wished he had gone with Senator Joseph Lieberman, an Independent.

It’s possible McCain’s ghostwriter added the claim, said Mrs. Palin, since it’s so far off from what he’s told her privately. “I attribute a lot of what we’re hearing and reading regarding McCain’s statements to his ghostwriter or ghostwriters,” she said. “I don’t know all the details of his condition right now. It happens to me also where people speak for me and a bell is rung, and you can’t un-ring the bell.” (Read more from “Sarah Palin Responds to John Mccain Saying He Regrets Choosing Her as VP” HERE)

That’s Not What He Told Me! Sarah Palin Says Hearing John Mccain Say He Regrets Picking Her as His Running Mate in 2008 Is a ‘Perpetual Gut-Punch’ – and Claims He’s Told Her the Opposite

By Daily Mail. . .The onetime Alaska governor spoke to DailyMail.com in Washington before headlining a fundraising event for a Trump-friendly political action committee.

McCain’s recurring apology for her treatment at the hands of the Republican Party elites who turned their noses up at her ‘going rogue’ style, she insisted, ‘has almost been a running joke between the two of us over these years.’

‘I stop him all the time and say, “Please don’t apologize.”

There’s nothing to apologize for anyway, Palin said, since former president Barack Obama’s victory over her and McCain was basically written in the stars.

‘There were elements of a perfect storm for Barack Obama to have been elected. It worked out the way that it was supposed to work out,’ she said. (Read more from “That’s Not What He Told Me! Watch: Progressive Political Ad Implies Republicans Are White Supremacists Who Terrorize Women and Steal from the Poor

NextGen America, a progressive organization founded by Tom Steyer, released a political commercial on Wednesday that parodies “catch it before it’s too late” drug addiction commercials.

Throughout the video, a mother/narrator talks about her son . . .

The mother then talks about her son stealing from “less fortunate” kids, and how his confidence didn’t translate into attention from women. During this portion of the narration, a photo is shown in which the son is wearing a Trump tee shirt and yelling at a woman while holding a sign that reads “Baby Killer.”

She speaks about her son visiting home frequently during college, but mostly to have her do his laundry. In yet another photo, a Trump tee shirt is prominently placed at the top of his laundry basket. . .

In short, this commercial appears to be suggesting that mothers should guide their impressionable children away from the Republican Party because it is the party of white supremacists and man-children who threaten women and steal from the “less fortunate.” (Read more from “Watch: Progressive Political Ad Implies Republicans Are White Supremacists Who Terrorize Women and Steal from the Poor” HERE)

Stormy Daniels Involved with Nxivm?

By The Daily Dot. . .After Daniels did a photo shoot with Penthouse, a question posed on Twitter by the magazine became a hotbed of conspiracies.

NXIVM began as a multi-level marketing scheme that has been accused of devolving into a cult. It made headlines the past two months when its founder, Keith Raniere, was arrested on sex trafficking charges. Former members say Rainere kept women as slaves, branding them and forcing them to have sex. (Read more from “New Conspiracy Claims Stormy Daniels Is Part of Elite Sex Cult” HERE)

New Claims Stormy Daniels Is Part of Elite Sex Cult

By Infowars. Users on social media spotted what they suspect could be a NXIVM branding scar on porn star Stormy Daniels.

Pictures of Daniels circulated message boards and social media, with particular emphasis on the groin area of her body which shows what appears to be a raised “K” shape scar among a flower tattoo piece.

Daniels hit back against the claims, confirming the mark is indeed a scar but that it came from surgery.

“1. I’m a model NOT a client. 2. You are a f*cking psycho. There are literally thousands of pics/video of me nude to disprove your terrible photoshopped conspiracy theory,” she tweeted on Tuesday, adding that it’s a “tattoo covering a surgery scar.” (Read more from “Stormy Daniels Involved with Nxivm?” HERE)

Obama, Hillary and Kerry Rip Trump over Iran. Sarah Sanders Flattens Them with One Statement.

By The Daily Wire. On Wednesday, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders took aim at the three most prominent Americans who have slammed President Trump’s decision to pull out of the Iran deal: former President Barack Obama and former Secretaries of State Hillary Clinton and John Kerry. After Obama had released a long statement filled with prevarications, Clinton had declared America’s “credibility is shot” and Kerry had intoned Trump’s decision “weakens our security, breaks America’s word” and “isolates us from our European allies,” Sanders had had enough.

Sanders fired back, “I think based on each of those individuals’ lack of success in this entire process on foreign affairs, they would probably be the last three people that we would look to for advice and counsel, and whether or not we had made the right decisions.” . . .

Kerry: “Instead of building on unprecedented nonproliferation verification measures, this decision risks throwing them away and dragging the world back to the brink we faced a few years ago. The extent of the damage will depend on what Europe can do to hold the nuclear agreement together, and it will depend on Iran’s reaction.”

Iran Warns Trump: ‘You’ve Made a Mistake’ over Nuclear Deal

By BBC. Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, has addressed US President Donald Trump directly, telling him he “made a mistake” in deciding to leave a multi-country nuclear deal.

Mr Khamenei said: “I said from the first day: don’t trust America.”

He urged his government to get guarantees from European powers before agreeing to continue with the deal.

The 2015 agreement curbed Iran’s nuclear activities in return for the lifting of UN, US and EU sanctions.

It was signed by Mr Trump’s predecessor, Barack Obama, between Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council – the US, UK, France, China and Russia – plus Germany. (Read more from “Iran Warns Trump: ‘You’ve Made a Mistake’ over Nuclear Deal” HERE)

Here’s How the Supreme Court Already Repealed the Second Amendment

In March, retired Supreme Court justice John Paul Stevens called for repealing the Second Amendment, implicitly admitting that it does what, in his dissent in District of Columbia v. Heller (2008), he pretended it does not: prohibit laws infringing the right to keep and bear arms.

Why Stevens called for repeal and dissented in Heller is a mystery, however. The Second Amendment was repealed, in effect, by Heller’s majority opinion. The opinion went beyond questions raised in the case and laid out a rationale by which Congress, states, and courts could ban the private possession of many offensive and defensive arms today and all such arms of the future.

Heller asked the court to decide whether Washington DC’s bans on handguns, having a loaded firearm at home, and carrying a firearm at home without a permit violated the Second Amendment. Although on imperfect grounds, the court correctly ruled that the first two bans were unconstitutional. It also said if DC required a permit to carry a gun at home, it had to issue permits to qualified applicants. But, the court added, “[w]e may as well consider at this point . . . what types of weapons [the Court’s decision in U.S. v. Miller (1939)] permits.” . . .

Miller asked whether the National Firearms Act of 1934 violated the Second Amendment by requiring that a short-barreled shotgun be registered with the federal government. Oddly, before the court heard the case, one defendant died and the other disappeared, so their lawyer didn’t go to Washington to present evidence on their behalf.

The court thus concluded, “[i]n the absence of any evidence tending to show that possession and use of a [short-barreled shotgun] at this time has some reasonable relationship to the preservation or efficiency of a well regulated militia, we cannot say that the Second Amendment guarantees the right to keep and bear such an instrument. Certainly it is not within judicial notice that this weapon is any part of the ordinary military equipment or that its use could contribute to the common defense” (emphasis added). Woman Says Harry Potter Ride ‘Fat-Shamed’ Her Because She Couldn’t Fit, Calls for ‘Inclusive’ Design Changes

. . .In a piece for the Huffington Post, Jana Schmiedling of the “Woman of Size” podcast says that she mostly enjoyed her experience at the theme park until a dark cloud descended upon her day when she attempted to participate in the “Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey” ride.

When Jana reached the front of the line, she and her friends allegedly made it all the way into seats until “one of the 20-something ride managers walked over and asked us all to step off because of a ‘safety’ issue.'” It should be noted here that prior to Jana’s entry, a plus-sized friend who previously made the venture cautioned her that this might happen. Jana, however, decided to take her chances. . .

For Jana, the experience indeed “fat-shamed” her and she feels that some of that stemmed from how the Harry Potter series presents “big characters,” which reflects the broader culture. “Upon further investigation, the books and movies have only a few big characters and most of them are antagonistic,” she writes. “The Fat Lady painting is obnoxious and bossy. The Dursleys are lazy and entitled. Crabbe and Goyle are both fat dunces who follow the orders of the lithe, vampire-looking Draco Malfoy. Hogwarts absolutely condones this and so does the general public.”

Being unable to participate in the ride made Jana feel like a victim of “size-based discrimination” that she and her community have been combating for years. She claims this discrimination is so insidious that it made her actually wish she “were small enough to take the Hogwarts ride.”

“That’s the impact of exclusion: It makes a person internalize an entire system of institutional hatred,” she writes. “Exclusion and shame are not motivational techniques; they’re forms of bullying. Exclusion makes me, a logical and educated person, believe that I’m at fault for not fitting into this ride instead of recognizing that rides should accommodate all people’s bodies. Apply this thinking to race or gender discrimination or disabled accessibility, and you have yourself the hot stew we’re in today.” (Read more from “Woman Says Harry Potter Ride ‘Fat-Shamed’ Her Because She Couldn’t Fit, Calls for ‘Inclusive’ Design Changes” HERE)
