Teacher Threatened Mass Shooting to Empower Women to Be Serial Killers in New #Metoo Movement, Police Say

By The Daily Wire. Authorities in Las Vegas arrested a high school teacher after she threatened to shoot up a concert so she could start a new #MeToo movement aimed at empowering women to become serial killers.

Bonanza High School teacher Leslie McGourty, 48, was arrested earlier this month on terrorism charges after she threatened to “poke a lot of holes in a lot of people” at a concert in Las Vegas in text messages she sent to her friend. . .

“A perfect plan with my favorite song surrounded by a bunch of f****** up misfits like I am,” McGourty wrote in a text message. “Imagine knowing exactly the moment that you’re going to die. I know exactly that your favorite song will be playing. By your favorite band. It’s just too perfect.”

The Metropolitan Police Department decided to arrest McGourty at her home on May 16, three days before the concert, but she wasn’t there; she was at school teaching.

“It was at that point we made the request for (Clark County School District police) to immediately take Leslie into custody and to be removed from the classroom,” the police report states, according to the Review-Journal. Police Report: Bonanza Teacher Threatened Shooting at Las Vegas Bar

By The Las Vegas Journal. Leslie McGourty was arrested on school grounds May 16 after her friend reported to Las Vegas police that she had threatened to kill herself and others during an ongoing conversation over text messages. The 48-year-old woman, who, according to public employment records, appears to have been a physics teacher, faces a felony charge of making a threat to commit an act of terrorism.

The text message exchange that landed her in police custody started early May 15 and extended late into the night, documents show.

In the series of text messages detailed in her arrest report, McGourty had repeatedly romanticized “being remembered” and said she hoped to start another #MeToo movement, “but this time in which women feel empowered enough to become serial killers.” . . .

Police also noted in the report that detectives “did not get much of a reaction from her” when they read excerpts from the text messages to her.

McGourty admitted to police that she had planned to attend a downtown concert, but that she “often has those types of conversations” with her friend, the report said. (Read more from “Police Report: Bonanza Teacher Threatened Shooting at Las Vegas Bar” HERE)

Another U.S. Prisoner Brought Back Home

U.S. Vice-President Mike Pence says sanctions will remain on Venezuela despite the release of a US prisoner and his wife on Saturday.

Joshua Holt and his Venezuelan wife Thamy arrived in the US accompanied by Senator Bob Corker, who helped negotiate their release. . .

Mr Holt and his wife had been imprisoned in Venezuela for two years on charges of concealing weapons.

“Very glad that Josh Holt is now back home with his family – where he has always belonged,” Mr Pence wrote in a tweet. “Sanctions continue until democracy returns to Venezuela.”

The couple were detained in 2016 at her family’s house in the capital Caracas while waiting for US visas, and accused of hiding weapons. Both were jailed for two years.

Leftists Tweet out Pictures of Suffering Illegal Alien Children to Target Trump. There’s Only One Problem.

Over the weekend, the media narrative that the Trump administration is cruelly separating illegal immigrant parents from their children while in detention finally went viral. And that caused an enormous number of prominent Leftists to tweet out a bit of fake news: a story from 2014, during the Obama administration, regarding the holding of illegal immigrant children who had entered the United States en masse. The photos from that story were disseminated, ironically enough, by at least one member of the Obama administration:

As soon as many of these commentators realized that they had inadvertently smacked down President Obama’s administration, they deleted their tweets and corrected them:

There are really two issues. First, there’s the status of unaccompanied minors entering the United States. Those minors must be remanded to foster parents, shelters or sponsors within 20 days rather than held indefinitely in detention facilities. That settlement, according to FactCheck.org, was extended to accompanied children as well. Here’s FactCheck.org’s summary of the situation (they said Trump was lying, by the way):

They require the government to release children from custody after a certain period of detainment, said Sarah Pierce, a policy analyst at the Migration Policy Institute. But they don’t require that parents continue to be held in immigration detention. “The government absolutely has the option to release the parents,” as well, Pierce said. That’s as long as they aren’t a flight or safety risk, she added.

Elon Musk Just Exposed the Oil Oligarchy’s Control Over Mainstream Media in Epic Rant

Billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla, Space-X, and PayPal, recently posted a series of Tweets pointing out how media organizations have an obvious incentive to give bad press to electric cars and alternative energy in general.

Musk was unforgiving towards the mainstream media in his epic Twitter rant, calling them hypocrites and saying that the public no longer trusts them. He said that he doesn’t advertise for Tesla, his electric car company, which means that he contributes no money to the media, who depend on advertising dollars to stay in business.

On the other hand, the traditional auto industry and fossil fuel companies are among the world’s largest advertisers, meaning that they are one of the primary industries keeping the mainstream media in business. When it comes time to cover a story that involves these industries, journalists, and media organizations have an obvious bias and conflict of interest that will influence their coverage of the story even if they were not given explicit orders to create propaganda.

“The holier-than-thou hypocrisy of big media companies who lay claim to the truth, but publish only enough to sugarcoat the lie, is why the public no longer respects them. Problem is journos are under constant pressure to get max clicks & earn advertising dollars or get fired. Tricky situation, as Tesla doesn’t advertise, but fossil fuel companies & gas/diesel car companies are among world’s biggest advertisers,” Musk said.

One of the dark secrets of the advertising industry is the fact that commercials are not always intended to sell something, but are sometimes an undercover bribe, which corporations use to control the narrative on the sponsored news sources. An obvious example of this is how military arms suppliers like Boeing or Lockheed Martin will advertise on major networks despite the fact that their products are not available for sale to the people watching the advertisements.

It is no coincidence that international stories are covered with a pro-war slant on every major media platform when the arms dealers are advertising on each one—in fact, that is the very reason they advertise. The same goes for recruitment ads for the military, these serve the double purpose of recruiting and also controlling the narrative of the media outlet by becoming their sponsor.

Next, Musk announced that he was planning on creating his own media ranking website that would rate the credibility of journalists by crowdsourcing reviews from readers. He also put up a poll asking his followers if it would be a good idea, or gave the sarcastic option of “no, media are awesome.”

Musk suggested that he would call his site “Pravda,” and while it would seem that these were thoughts coming off the top of his head, one Twitter follower pointed out that one of Musk’s agents “incorporated Pravda Corp in California” in October 2017.

As opposed to centralized fact-checking sites like Snopes or Politifact, which have an obvious bias, a site that allowed the public to decide who they trusted could be an interesting way to rate journalists. Of course, any type of rating system is dependent upon the opinions of the masses, which can sometimes be wrong, and are almost always controversial. However, this seems to be the best model that has been proposed thus far, and it does not seem to favor the mainstream media as other popular “fact checkers” do. Butchers ‘Living in Fear’ as Vegan Attacks on the Rise

Attacks on small businesses by vegan activists are on the rise, according to the Countryside Alliance.

Death threats, stoked by social media and encouraged by international groups of activists, have caused butchers and farmers to “live in fear.”

Marlow Butchers, in, Ashford, Kent, was targeted earlier this month by activists who daubed red paint on the doors and windows of the shop. . .

Tim Bonner, Chief Executive of the Countryside Alliance told The Telegraph: “There’s been an escalation of attacks on butchers, markets, and even abattoirs and it’s an extension of animal rights campaigns we have seen around other areas, using the same tactics including online abuse. . .

He said that international groups coordinate attacks which take place in the UK, explaining: “”Social media has been a catlalyst for much of this campaigning, both in terms of bringing together international groups and if they find the right independent business it does bring a lot of pressure on family businesses and farmers.” (Read more from “Butchers ‘Living in Fear’ as Vegan Attacks on the Rise” HERE)

CNN Analyst Tweets Article Suggesting Trump Could Be Running Child Sex Trafficking Ring

CNN political analyst April Ryan shared an article on her Twitter account on Sunday that floated the idea that President Donald Trump could be running a child sex trafficking ring.

The article that Ryan tweeted, from The Root, was titled, “Is the Trump Administration Running a Child-Trafficking Ring or Nah? Follow Me Down the Rabbit Hole.” . . .

[Spokesperson for Melania Trump, Stephanie Grisham,] wrote: “If you’re a journalist w many followers & a @CNNPolitics contributor…is it ok to retweet any headline you want, regardless of if it’s true? Remember: ‘The core purpose of a journalist is to research, document, write, & present the news in an honest, ethical, & unbiased way.'”

Britt McHenry also called out Ryan, writing, “Trump Derangement Syndrome has gone off the rails. How can a major network contributor tweet this out?”

SURPRISE: British Prime Minister Refuses to Legalize Abortion in Northern Ireland After Historic Irish Vote

British Prime Minister Theresa May faces a showdown with ministers and lawmakers in her Conservative party after refusing to back reform of Northern Ireland’s highly restrictive abortion rules after neighboring Ireland’s vote to liberalize its laws.

Voters in Ireland, a once deeply Catholic nation, backed the change by two-to-one, a far higher margin than any opinion poll in the run up to the vote had predicted.

The prime minister is facing calls from within her cabinet and from opposition parties to scrap the strict rules on abortion in Northern Ireland, bringing the law in the province in line with the rest of the United Kingdom. . .

A spokeswoman for May said on Sunday changing the rules should only be undertaken by a government in Northern Ireland, which has been without a devolved executive since January last year after a power-sharing agreement collapsed. . .

Northern Ireland has some of the most restrictive abortion laws in Europe with even rape and fatal foetal abnormality not considered legal grounds for a termination. And unlike other parts of the United Kingdom, abortions are banned apart from when the life or mental health of the mother is in danger. Families of MK Ultra Victims File Lawsuit Over Government Mind Control Experiments

Most of the government mind control programs that exist are kept secret, but over the years there is one that managed to draw the attention of the public. That program was a government project called “MK Ultra,” a CIA operation that involved extreme methods of mind control that were tested on US and Canadian citizens. The projects began in the 1940s and ran until the 1970s when the details of the experiments were exposed because victims began speaking out about the conditions that they were subjected to.

There were 150 “sub-projects” within the MKU program, many involved advanced brainwashing techniques using psychological drugs, sensory deprivation and electroshock therapy.

A new class-action lawsuit was filed by families and survivors of MK Ultra experiments in Canada this week, since the controversial mind control experiments were also conducted there, as well as in the United States. The experiments were overseen by Dr. Donald Ewen Cameron, the first Chairman of the World Psychiatric Association, and president of both American and Canadian psychiatric associations.

The plaintiffs in the lawsuit were all involved in experiments at the Allan Memorial Institute of McGill University, but similar experiments took place in dozens of other locations across the U.S. and Canada. In most cases, test subjects were unknowingly entered into these dangerous studies after they reported common psychological problems like depression, anxiety or addiction.

Marlene Levenson, the niece of a deceased MK Ultra survivor named Phyllis Goldberg, who was recently interviewed by CTV News about the pending lawsuit, said that her family’s life was torn apart by the experiments and that her aunt was never the same again after leaving that hospital.

“When she would be with us, on weekends and so on, she didn’t communicate. She laughed for no reason. Her gait was very different. She couldn’t dress herself—she couldn’t do anything for herself. When you went to pat her, just as a gesture, she would cringe. That bewildered me—not realizing, or understanding, she had electric shock equipment put on her head so many times that it [remained] in her subconscious,” Levenson explained.

“I could not believe this was allowed. These were innocent people who went in for mild depression—even if it was severe depression, post-partum, neurological things that happened—they came out completely ravaged, and their life was ruined,” she added.

Angela Bardosh, another family member involved in the lawsuit, says that the experiments gave her mother schizophrenia.

“It’s horrific to go back—for me, it took years to go back and read my mom’s medical records. Within six months with the treatments that Dr. Cameron did, it turned her into an acute schizophrenic. She suffered greatly through the mental health system,” Bardosh said.

In 1973, when the experiments began receiving public attention, CIA director and chief architect of MKU, Richard Helms, destroyed records of the project, but some papers were misfiled and overlooked, providing evidence that the program existed. Just a few years later those misfiled papers would come back to haunt the Pentagon as they would expose some of the harsh realities behind the MKU program. After this evidence surfaced, dozens of victims came forth claiming to be test subjects in MKU experiments and filed lawsuits against the CIA.

The governments of both the U.S. and Canada have done their best to avoid responsibility for these experiments, and although there have been several rulings in favor of some victims, these families are usually left to fight it out individually in court. In 2009, veterans groups attempted to sue the CIA over trauma and suffering caused by the experiments, and they are still appealing their case today. According to a report from Wired:

The experiments allegedly included “the use of troops to test nerve gas, psychochemicals, and thousands of other toxic chemical or biological substances, and … the insertion of septal implants in the brains of subjects in … mind control experiments that went awry, leaving many civilian and military subjects with permanent disabilities.” Subjects were tested without their consent, the veterans say. And when the trials were over, the government failed to “provide health care or compensation.”

In 1992, nearly 70 MK Ultra victims were awarded $100,000 by the Canadian government as restitution for the experiments, but many of the victims—including those involved in this most recent lawsuit—were not eligible for compensation because the ruling allowed for a very small window of qualifications, leaving out a very large number of survivors.

The group filing the lawsuit is seeking a public apology from the government as well as compensation, although it was not specified how much they are seeking. (For more from the author of “Families of Mk Ultra Victims File Lawsuit Over Government Mind Control Experiments” please click HERE)

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Doubts Sirhan Sirhan Killed His Father

Count Robert F. Kennedy Jr. among those people who doubt the man convicted of killing his father, Robert Kennedy, 50 years ago is actually the person who mortally shot the leading candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination.

After visiting Sirhan Sirhan, a Palestinian immigrant who admitted to shooting Kennedy at his trial in 1969, at a California state prison complex outside of San Diego, the 64-year-old Kennedy Jr. told the Washington Post he believes there could have been a second gunman and wants a reinvestigation.

“I got to a place where I had to see Sirhan,” Kennedy said, referring to the three-hour meeting late last year. He didn’t say exactly what he was told, but the discussion did cap months of research into the 1968 murder at a hotel in Los Angeles.

“I went there because I was curious and disturbed by what I had seen in the evidence,” he added. “I was disturbed that the wrong person might have been convicted of killing my father. My father was the chief law enforcement officer in this country. I think it would have disturbed him if somebody was put in jail for a crime they didn’t commit.”

Sirhan, who was arrested at the scene of the murder, was convicted and sentenced to death. However, that commuted to a life sentence in 1972. He repeatedly has said that he doesn’t remember pulling the trigger and although he has appealed, it has been rejected every time. (Read more from “Robert F. Trump Plans to Reschedule North Korea Summit

By The New York Times. President Trump said on Friday that the White House was back in touch with North Korea and that the two sides might reschedule his summit meeting with Kim Jong-un, a startling reversal that revealed not only Mr. Trump’s improvisational approach to diplomacy but also deep divisions among his advisers about the risks of going ahead.

Twenty-four hours after announcing that he was calling off the meeting in a letter to Mr. Kim, the North’s leader, Mr. Trump told reporters that he and Mr. Kim might yet meet in Singapore on June 12.

Before boarding Marine One on his way to deliver a commencement address at the United States Naval Academy, Mr. Trump said that he welcomed a conciliatory statement issued by North Korea in response to his announcement on Thursday. North Korea, it said, was “willing to sit down with the United States any time, in any format, to resolve the problems,” and urged the president to reconsider. It Is Welcome News That the Korea Summit Is Once Again Set to Go Ahead – Particularly for Those Living in the South

By The Independent. It is not impossible that Kim Jong-un is a master of diplomacy. Certainly, he is making the Americans appear if not amateurish then unsure, although that in itself may not be difficult.

The on-again, off-again nature of the summit between the leaders of the United States and North Korea may, paradoxically, be emblematic of Donald Trump’s confused presidency, but is difficult to avoid the conclusion that the vacillation is a consequence of Mr Kim’s manipulation of the scenario than part of a White House master plan.

That the proposed meeting between these giant egos is now seemingly set to proceed once more is welcome news, of course. Putting to one side the extraordinary theatre that surrounds these two strongmen of 21st century politics, it is unquestionable that the world – and especially the Korean peninsular – will be a safer place if Mr Kim curtails his nuclear ambitions.

To that end, the quiet resolve of South Korea remains crucial in bridging the divide (rhetorical or substantive) between Pyongyang and Washington.

Indeed, it is the people living in the South who – along with their neighbours in the North – have most to gain from full and lasting detente and from Mr Kim’s potential agreement to halt his nuclear weapons programme.
